"Attention!" Scrooge McDuck called.

Everyone sitting around the big table in his money bin meeting room went silent.

"I don't think I need to tell you what this meeting is about," Scrooge said, "so let's cut right to the chase."

"Oh, who are we going to chase Mr. McD?" Launchpad asked. "The Beagle Boys? Magica De Spell? Glomgold?"

Scrooge sighed and facepalmed his face. "For the hundredth time, Launchpad, we're not chasing anyone. We're having a meeting to find out how much progress we've made in finding out where Webby, Huey, Dewey and Louie have gone to. As well as that Cy-Rat. Since you spoke first, Launchpad, you get to go first."

Launchpad rose from his chair and told everyone all about his adventures with his friends Darkwing Duck and Gosalyn Waddlemeyer in both Duckberg and St. Canard for the last two days. They tried to look for the Cy-Rat and the missing young ducks and they didn't find anything except a half-eaten cheese sandwich, one of the very first Darkwing Duck comic issues ever and a poster for a Powerline concert… that happened seven years ago.

"Off to a good start," Scrooge muttered under his breath. "Sit back down now, Launchpad. Your friends, Darkwing Duck and Gosalyn, here will now share with us what they learned."

Darkwing Duck went first. He did find evidence and it was more useful than Launchpad's evidence… if they were about crimes regarding Taurus Bulba, Steelebeak, Quackerjack Bushroot, Negaduck or Megavolt among his usual enemies instead of trying to find Cy-Rat or the missing young ducks.

When it was her turn, Gosalyn told everyone that she searched both Duckberg and St. Canard for her missing friends or Cy-Rat or any clues about them, but she couldn't find anything at all, let alone anything to report.

Scrooge was glad that at least she was being realistic, though he knew that Launchpad and Darkwing were being honest when they reported what they found. "Okay, okay. Sit back down now. Della, you're next."

After she rose up, Della reported that she spent the last two days flying without sleeping all around the world in the Sunchaser to find her sons, Webby and Cy-Rat, but she failed. She didn't even sleep when she visited the island of Ithaquack and visit their Greek god friends – Zeus and his children Selene and Storkules – and even they couldn't work out where Cy-Rat or the young ducks had gone to either, neither the place nor the time, even with all their powers. That gave Della the only conclusion that Cy-Rat must be very good and very clever to fool even the powerful gods. And the only other thing she took from the gods was a card from Storkules for Donald and it was a 'Get Found Soon' card.

Scrooge sighed. "Okay, sit back down, Della. Lena, Violet, May, June, tell us you found something what with your magic and your intelligence."

Lena, Violet, May and June stood up. Lena went first and told everyone that she spent the last two days using her magic to try to find out where her friends and Cy-Rat could have gone to – in time and the place – but she found nothing, even though she was one of the world's most powerful sorceresses ever.

Then May and June explained that they used their intelligence and their skills and resources to find Cy-Rat and the missing ducks or some evidence about where they went to, but they failed miserably.

Then Violet explained that she had done nothing for the last two days except research all she could in books from the Duckberg Library or researching online. She did find something, but it was only a theory, not a certain fact and she couldn't promise it would be helpful, but Scrooge told her to share the information anyway.

So, Violet explained that she may have found a lost ancient religion during her research. All she could find about it was that it was meant to be the very first religion that ever existed in the world and that this religion's gods and goddesses ruled the entire world before they somehow vanished and that this was the birth of all magic, including Lena's and her aunt Magica's. Violet's theory was that Cy-Rat and her children might have gone there, but neither she nor Lena had concrete proof about this.

While Violet explained everything about this lost ancient religion, Lena used her magic to create a magic ring above the table and in the ring she created images according to Violet's descriptions.

"Okay, sir back down," Scrooge said. "Gyro, tell me you and your team have found a scientific solution to all of this."

Gyro, his assistants Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera and Gandra Dee and his robots B.O.Y.D. and Lil Bulb, rose from their chairs and explained that they tried with all their sharp brains and all the resources science could offer to help them, but they could find nothing.

Then there was a video call coming from SHUSH and the director Dr. Ludwig Von Drake himself. Ludwig told Scrooge that he has sent all his SHUSH agents to go and find out all they could about Cy-Rat and the missing young ducks. Despite their best resources and efforts, they found nothing at all.

Then Scrooge summoned his ghost butler Duckworth and asked him if Cy-Rat or the missing ducks had died and gone to the spirit world. Duckworth replied that none of them had entered the spirit world… as far as he was aware.

Then Scrooge asked Mrs. Beakley if she found anything when she was looking after the mansion while everyone else was on their missions. All she replied was, "Well, only if you count dust and cobwebs, Mr. McDuck."

Then there was only one person left to ask and that was Daisy Duck and, as Scrooge expected, she looked everywhere she could to find Cy-Rat and the missing ducks and she didn't have any more success than anyone else.

Scrooge sighed. "Okay, everyone. Let's take a break to think about what we've all learned from everyone's experiences and then we'll have to try to work together about what we can do from there. Beakley, bring out the drinks and cookies, will you?"

While everyone got up to stretch their legs and breathe while taking drinks and cookies from Beakley and Launchpad, who was helping her… very clumsily… Scrooge continued to sit in his chair thinking about what the next step in this mystery should be. He and his family and friends have all worked together to solve many of the world's greatest mysteries, but he was finding this one to be the hardest and most difficult one he ever faced in his one hundred and fifty-seven years. In fact, he was finding it so hard that he was finding it very close to being impossible to solve and was very close to giving up on it completely, which is a feeling he rarely had during his whole life. He just wished that his grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie and his daughter Webby were here. If they were here, the mystery would have been solved much quickly and yet be more fun at the same time.
