Chapter 92

Nie Mingjue rode along the bridal procession, as they rode from Gusu to Qinghe. It wasn't the most effective way to get between the two sects, and in all honesty, it took far longer than it would have to just ride their swords between both lands.

However, it was part of the wedding ceremony. Part of the agreed upon details, given that there would be parts of the wedding in both Gusu and Qinghe.

He wondered if he would be forced to sit inside a bridal sedan for his own wedding.

He may stab anyone who suggested it.

However, it was his Didis who were both planning it, and he knew that if either of them turned to look at him with their soft eyes, he would be powerless to resist them.

And they both knew that fact all too well. Even Mo Xuanyu was starting to get more comfortable with that fact.

At least he was on a horse, and not inside a sedan. He was sure Wei Wuxian was fidgeting in boredom inside of his, only being kept sane by the fact that at the end of the day he would be married to his beloved Lan Zhan.

He wondered how Wangji fared in his own. While he was certain the man he'd known since he was a child would be able to close his eyes and meditate until they arrived, he knew the Lans well enough to know that Wangji was also just as anxious to arrive in Qinghe so he could marry Nie Mingjue's brother.

He glanced back to where Xichen was riding alongside the Gusu procession, and smiled at his partner. Meng Yao was riding alongside one of the sedans where A-Yu was residing in with Lan Jingyi, while Nie Huaisang accompanied him, insisting he would ruin his demeanour if he were forced to ride for hours then attend a formal event after.

Nie Mingjue knew that he just didn't want A-Yu to ride alone with his mother since the boy had barely left Qinghe other than for the odd occasion since they arrived, so he didn't push too much.

He looked ahead of him as he felt something off. His senses were immediately triggered as he scanned ahead of them, trying to figure out just what was happening, when the first arrow landed in front of him, off the path, and hitting a tree instead.

He knew he could stop the procession then, and demand everyone get to cover, especially if they were under attack.

But a stray arrow hitting a tree meant that the shooter wasn't skilled.

And that they were most likely alone.

Otherwise, there would have been more than one, and they would have been hit with a shower of arrows.

Instead, it was just one.

He pulled his horse off the path, signalling to Nie Zonghui to continue ahead, as his second in command saw the arrow as well. Nie Zonghui looked at him with narrowed eyes, clearly knowing what was happening, but did not protest. Instead, he gave him a nod of acknowledgement. He gestured for two cultivators to come with him, as they followed behind him.

He turned his horse around, as he rode over to where Lan Xichen was, riding with his own sect.

"What happened?" Lan Xichen asked, in a low voice, clearly sensing something was off. The arrow hadn't caused too much of a disturbance, as Nie Mingjue had managed to get his sect to proceed without raising too much alarm.

"Someone shot an arrow towards us," Nie Mingjue said in a low voice, "I don't know who the target was. It could have been someone in the Nie sect, given the trajectory, but either way, it isn't safe."

"I'll come investigate with you," Lan Xichen said immediately, pulling his horse off to the side.

"No," Nie Mingjue shook his head, "Stay with the group. In case it's an ambush or something. You're a strong fighter, and I know the group is more than capable of taking care of themselves. But I'd rather not draw too much attention to it, if it turns out to be nothing. Today is Wangji's and A-Ying's wedding day. I don't want them to have today tainted by anything unpleasant. Especially given that the shot was not well aimed."

"Unless that's their plan," Lan Xichen frowned, "To lure you away so they can harm you."

Nie Mingjue gave Lan Xichen a soft look, "Do you really think they would be able to defeat me?"

Lan Xichen laughed softly at the reassurance, "I know you are more than capable of taking care of yourself, A-Jue. But you cannot blame me for worrying nonetheless. Be careful? Please?"

"I will," Nie Mingjue promised him, "I'll be back soon. Before you can even miss me."

"I always miss you when you're not around," Lan Xichen confessed.

Nie Mingjue wanted nothing more than to kiss his partner, "Soon," he promised. Soon A-Ying would be married. Then Sang-er. Then he would marry A-Huan and A-Yao. Then they would be together, with Lan Jingyi and be a family.

"Soon," Lan Xichen agreed, "Go, A-Jue. Send up a flare if you need anything."

"I'll let you know what I find," Nie Mingjue told him, before riding off in the direction of the arrow.

Whoever was responsible for it, either meant it as a trap like Lan Xichen suggested, or had not planned out their attack well enough. Especially for a singular arrow, it couldn't have been any sort of full-fledged attack.

Not yet anyways. Unless there were some sort of greater plot involved with it.

He rode up the path towards where the arrow had been fired from, based on his estimated trajectory, unsure of what he would find. He had one hand on his saber, ready to attack whoever it was he saw.

But as he got up the hill from where the arrow came, there was nothing. There was no one.

He frowned. He had expected to find someone there. Some trace of whoever fired the arrow. A trap. Anything.

But instead, there was no one. Just a few broken branches on the trees around him to suggest someone had been there, recently, but no sign of the cultivator who had shot at them.

As if they took a singular shot, then panicked when it hadn't landed, but had managed to gain Nie Mingjue's attention.

He knew that he could continue tracking down the threat. And on any other day, he would have. Someone had tried to harm the people in his sect, without a clear reason, and had run away like a coward.

But today was his brother's wedding day.

"Track down whoever shot the arrow," Nie Mingjue told the cultivators, "Find out who did this."

"Yes, Zongzhu," the two cultivators agreed, bowing their heads in agreement, as they took off, following the path.

Nie Mingjue, on the other hand, pulled his horse back, and turned towards the procession once more. He rode quicker, to catch up with the group, as he shook his head at Lan Xichen, indicating that whoever had shot the arrow was long gone.

He just hoped nothing else threw the off the wedding.

Lan Wangji barely caught sight of Wei Ying after they had arrived in Qinghe, with Nie Huaisang having carted him off the moment they arrived to get him ready. Which Lan Wangji highly disagreed with. Wei Wuxian was beautiful, and Lan Wangji would marry him as he was if he were allowed to.

But this was his wedding day. And Wei Ying deserved to be dressed up as much as he wanted. He deserved to be donned in the most beautiful jewels. He deserved to wear his beautifully embroidered red wedding robes.

Lan Wangji would be patient.

He had waited years to marry his Wei Ying. He could wait a few more hours.

"Nie Mingjue has set us up in the guest family quarters," Lan Xichen said, and Lan Wangji knew he meant the rooms that Lan Xichen often stayed at officially when he visited.

Lan Wangji also knew that over the last few years, Lan Xichen spent very few nights in them, but that was not the point.

"Mm," he said, feeling more emotions than he had in his entire life. Because Wei Wuxian loved him. Wei Wuxian wanted to marry him. Wanted to have a family with him. And in a few short hours, they would be married.

"Wangji?" Lan Xichen said, as he led Lan Wangji into their rooms, with Uncle behind them, "Are you okay?"

"Nervous," Wangji admitted, "Excited. Overwhelmed."

Lan Xichen nodded knowingly, "I understand. Today is a very important day for you and A-Xian, isn't it? But just think, after today, you'll have him by your side forever. You won't ever be apart from him. That's what you want, right?"

"Mm," Lan Wangji nodded, not wanting his brother to misunderstand.

He took out a comb then, and began brushing through Lan Wangji's hair, as Lan Wangji didn't protest.

Uncle sighed then, and Lan Wangji looked up at him, confused.

"Uncle?" Lan Xichen asked, tilting his head, as he sat Wangji down, looking at him in concern.

"Nothing," Uncle said, giving them both a smile, "I feel it too. Overwhelmed. In a good way. You've both grown up so much, and it gives me joy to see how far you've come. I'm so proud of you both. You were both handed difficulties early in life. And I have many regrets about how I played a part in that. I should have listened to my brother more. I should have investigated your mother's case more. I hope you can forgive me for my actions."

"Forgive Uncle," Lan Wangji said insistently, "Uncle did not know. He did not hide the truth."

"Maybe," Uncle said, "I still could have done more. But despite it all, the two of you grew into such great men. Men your parents would have been proud of. Men I am proud of. Not just with your cultivation, but with your temperament. You both make me so proud every day, and I am glad that you both have found partners that suit you, and that you care for. I hope you both are very happy for the rest of your lives."

"Uncle," Lan Xichen said with a tight voice, "You raised us. You loved and supported us. We would not be half the people we are today without your support."

"Mm," Lan Wangji said, knowing he wasn't as good with words, "Uncle cared for us and guided us. Thankful to Uncle."

Uncle smiled at them both, as he took the comb from Xiongzhang and began brushing Lan Wangji's hair as well. He tied the new forehead ribbon around Lan Wangji's head, while his old one remained firmly on Wei Ying's wrist and would remain there for the rest of their lives. Between Uncle and Xiongzhang, his hair was wrapped up in formal Gusu styles. One that was way less than practical for daily life. But today was his wedding day. So he did not protest.

Nor did he protest, when Lan Xichen helped him into the formal wedding robes they had chosen in Caiyi. Ones customized for him and Wei Ying's relationship, with bunnies woven onto sleeves.

"It's almost time," Lan Xichen said, smiling knowingly at Lan Wangji, knowing that he couldn't wait to go and bow with Wei Ying. Soon. So soon.

He just had to be a bit more patient.

When Wei Wuxian emerged from his chambers, his face had been dolled up even more than it had the day before. Nie Huaisang had insisted that this was the formal wedding ceremony. So they needed to spend even longer on his appearance.

A-Yuan had laughed while sitting in his lap ad Wei Wuxian was forced to sit still and have his hair braided, somehow bigger than anything he'd ever worn before. Da-ge had helped with the braids as well, as between him and Nie Huaisang, his hair was styled.

Mo Xuanyu had also helped Nie Huaisang with his makeup, his own skills having improved severely under Er-ge's guidance, and Wei Wuxian had thought he'd looked rather beautiful as he'd looked at himself in the mirror.

"A-Ying," Nie Mingjue said as he and Er-ge escorted him to the main hall where their guests waited for him, "I know what you're going to say, but I must offer it anyways. If you do not want to marry Wangji, you do not have to. You will always have a home here, regardless."

"I know, Da-ge," he smiled, knowing his eldest brother had his best interests at heart as usual, "But you also know how much I love Lan Zhan. He's it for me. There cannot ever be anyone else for me in my heart but him. I love him so much, and my heart hurts without him. I can't wait to be his husband."

"If he ever hurts you, I'll make sure they never find his body," Nie Huaisang said with a straight face, as Wei Wuxian spluttered. As if Lan Zhan would ever hurt him. Lan Zhan was too good for such a thing. Lan Zhan loved him too much to ever hurt him. He wouldn't be able to hurt him even if he wanted to.

"A-Huan and I have an understanding that is similar to that," Nie Mingjue agreed, "We both love each other, but have agreed that it wouldn't matter if our brothers were hurt."

"Da-ge," Wei Wuxian sighed, "I will not hurt Lan Zhan. Lan Zhan will not hurt me. We both love each other."

A-Yuan giggled at that, as he held onto Wei Wuxian's hand, while they entered the main hall. It was only then that he passed off the boy to Wen Qing, smiling at her, as he made his way to the front of the room, escorted by his brothers.

Lan Zhan entered the room at the same time as him, followed by his own brother and Uncle. Nie Mingjue and Nie Huaisang proceeded to the front of the room, sitting with Baoshan Sanren and Lan Yi as part of their family, as Uncle and Xichen-ge joined them, with Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan by them.

Neither Wei Wuxian nor Lan Zhan had their parents anymore. Both of them were orphans in that regard. But they still had family who loved them. Family who cared about them.

He could see Jiang Cheng sitting close to the front. Since he wasn't officially family yet, he was seated with the Jiang sect. The Jin sect was present too, as it was a huge wedding for two of the major sects. Even if Jin Guangshan looked like he'd bitten into something sour. Jin Zixuan and Yanli-Jie were sitting beside him, and they looked far more pleased than Jin Guangshan did.

"Hi Lan Zhan," he whispered, wishing he could see Lan Zhan's face properly. He wanted to turn towards him and take in every aspect of his appearance. But it was not time for that yet.

"Wei Ying," Lan Zhan said back in a low voice, as he greeted him in turn.

"We are gathered here, today, to celebrate the union of Bixie Jun, second heir of the Nie sect, to Hanguang Jun, the second heir Lan sect," Da-ge told the group. With Lan Jingyi formally adopted, it pushed the position that Lan Zhan currently held, not that Lan Zhan had minded one bit.

When they'd met Lan Jingyi, both of them were clearly taken in with how adorable Lan Zhan's new nephew was, and watching Lan Zhan interact with him only made Wei Wuxian love his future husband all the more.

"Finally," Nie Huaisang said loudly enough for the audience to let out a laugh and Wei Wuxian beamed up at Er-ge.

"Finally," Da-ge laughed, "Since the moment you both have met, your love for one another has always been clear to everyone around you. I am proud to welcome you into our family."

"The Lan sect, similarly is proud to welcome Wei Wuxian into ours," Xichen-ge said in agreement, "You have been family for years already, and this is just making it official."

Da-ge smiled softly at Xichen-ge before they proceeded, "Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, please bow towards the heavens, to signify your respect to your ancestors."

Wei Wuxian placed his hands carefully together, and he bowed down towards the heavens alongside Lan Wangji.

They both turned then, towards Baoshan Sanren and Lan Yi, their immortal ancestors and bowed once again towards them. He knew it was not common for there to be more than one bow, but it wasn't often that immortals related to both parties could attend the wedding of their descendants. And Baoshan Sanren and Lan Yi deserved that much respect.

"Immortal Baoshan Sanren and Immortal Lan Yi, please give us your blessings," he said in tandem with Lan Zhan, and their audience began murmuring, clearly realizing who the two elders were. For it was unheard of, for two famous immortals to be at the wedding of cultivators.

"May you both have a long and happy life together," Lan Yi said with a smile.

"I wish you both happiness and joy," Baoshan Sanren agreed.

"Now, please bow towards your parents," Nie Mingjue said, as he gestured to where their familial tablets had been set up. With his parents and Lan Zhan's parents."

He swallowed then, feeling a sense of regret that his own parents wouldn't be able to make it to the wedding, despite knowing why all too well.

He may not know much about his parents, but standing beside Lan Zhan, he liked to think that his parents would have liked Lan Zhan. A good man. A brave and earnest cultivator. Who fought for justice and for what was right. Who supported Wei Wuxian and protected him. Who kept him safe and loved him. Because truly, there was no one who could be a better husband than Lan Zhan.

He prayed to his parents, asking them for their blessings, before doing the same to Lan Zhan's. He may not have knew much about Lan Zhan's mother or father, but he wanted them to know he would treat Lan Zhan right. He would love him. He would fight for him. He would protect him and keep him safe. He would do anything for Lan Zhan to make him happy.

"And the final bow, to each other, to show your respect and care for each other," Da-ge concluded, and Wei Wuxian turned, facing Lan Zhan for the first time that day. He bowed towards his zhiji, feeling warmth flow through him. And as he stood back up, he looked at Lan Zhan, taking him in properly.

He felt his breath leave him. He didn't know how could feel like this, so much love towards Lan Zhan.

His husband.

Lan Zhan was his husband.

He let out a watery laugh, as he took Lan Zhan's hands in his own.

"You're my husband now," he said to Lan Zhan, as everyone else faded away from the room, "Forever. Lan Zhan. We're married!"

"Mm," Lan Zhan said, clearly as emotional as he was, "I'm Wei Ying's. Wei Ying is mine. Forever. Love Wei Ying."

"I love you too," he said with a small sob, "Lan Zhan, I've waited so long to marry you. I've wanted to be yours for so long. I hated when we were younger, and I wouldn't get to be by your side. I hated every time you had to leave. I hated it so much. But now, we're married, and I never have to watch you leave me again."

"Will never leave Wei Ying," Lan Zhan vowed, kissing him gently, and Wei Wuxian melted against him, throwing his arms around Lan Zhan's neck, not having a care in the world.

"They know the rest of us are still here, right?" Nie Huaisang whispered loudly enough for Wei Wuxian to hear, but he ignored him. He was married now. It was okay.

"I love you," he said again, when he finally pulled away, before blushing when he realized that they still had an audience, watching them. As noted by Xichen-ge and Lan Qiren looking anywhere but at them, while Er-ge had started arranging for the feast, bringing out the dishes, all the while Wei Wuxian had been wrapped up in Lan Zhan's arms.

"Welcome back," Da-ge said wryly, and Wei Wuxian simply beamed at him.

"Da-ge, I'm married now," he grinned.

"I know," Da-ge laughed with a boom, "Congratulations, A-Ying. Wangji. I hope the pair of you will be very happy together."

"Thank you," Lan Wangji bowed towards him, as he took Wei Wuxian's hand.

"Lan Zhan, what do you say the two of us get out of here?" Wei Wuxian whispered, as Lan Zhan guided him towards the seats that had been allocated for them.

"Wei Ying deserves to enjoy our wedding banquet," Lan Zhan said, refusing, "Besides, he needs to eat. Will need his energy for later."

Lan Zhan gave him a look as they took their seats, and he felt his face heat up once more.

"Congratulations, Wei Ying," Er-ge said, as he sat down next to him, after the food had started being served, "I'm glad you finally got to marry your Lan Zhan."

"Thank you, Er-ge," he grinned, "Soon you can be married too! Then we both will be married! Then Da-ge can get married, and all of us can be happy and married to our partners."

"Yes," Nie Huaisang said with a smile, "I have already started planning my wedding. I will start Da-ge's soon as well."

"Can I help?" Wei Wuxian asked, "With yours and Da-ge's? I want to plan too!"

"If you want," Nie Huaisang laughed, "Come to Lotus Pier after you've both settled in, and we can start planning together."

"Sounds good," Wei Wuxian grinned, "I'll plan you both such great weddings, just you see."

"Wei Ying," Lan Zhan said, capturing his attention, as he placed a piece of meat in Wei Wuxian's bowl."

"Already taking such good care of your Wei Ying," Wei Wuxian smiled up at him, "What a thoughtful husband I have."

Lan Zhan let out a fond huff and Wei Wuxian proceeded to fill up his husband's bowl as well. It had been part of the planning, to have foods from both the sects, with special delicacies of each, to show the nature of their marriage, both remaining of their own sect while joining the other's.

"I love you," he said, unable to stop looking at his husband.

"I love you too," Lan Zhan said, looking right at him.

"And I'm out," Nie Huaisang said, standing as he walked over to where Da-ge was, at the front of the room.

Da-ge clearly sensed Nie Huaisang needed a distraction, and he stood up, "I want to thank you all, for joining us today for my brother's marriage to Hanguang Jun. As I'm sure most of you know, this has been a long time coming. My brother has been in love with Hanguang Jun his entire life, even if he was the only one who didn't realize it."

Da-ge paused, looking over at Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan, "When San-di first joined my sect, I wanted him to meet other young masters his own age and make some friends. I invited Zewu Jun and Hanguang Jun to my sect, and as it was Wei Wuxian's first interaction with another sect, he was rather nervous. He kept asking me if the Lans would like him. He knew they were strict, but extremely talented cultivators, and he had so many questions he wanted to ask. I remember how he practically shook with excitement."

Nie Huaisang laughed at that, "He was so scared they would hate him," Er-ge added in.

"He was," Da-ge nodded, "And when he first saw our esteemed Zewu Jun, he took one look at him, and told Zewu Jun he was beautiful."

The room burst into laughter then, as their audience heard the story.

"And then, he laid eyes on Hanguang Jun, and it was all over," Nie Mingjue said, with the dramatics of Nie Huaisang, "He told Hanguang Jun that he was even more beautiful, and it was as if something had changed in Wei Wuxian forever. He was in love. He spent the Lans' entire visit holding Lan Wangji's hand, and showing him around the sect. He refused to be parted from Hanguang Jun. And he was devastated when Hanguang Jun left."

Er-ge paused to let the audience absorb Wei Wuxian's love story with Lan Zhan.

"Da-ge didn't know it then, but I did," Nie Huaisang added, "I knew from the moment Wei Wuxian laid eyes on Lan Wangji, that he was in love with him. Da-ge just thought the two of them were good friends. Good friends don't pine the way Wei Wuxian pined after Lan Wangji. All he ever spoke wanted was to see his Lan Wangji. He was so elated for the lectures at Cloud Recesses, glad to spend an entire year which his now husband. He wanted nothing more than to live with his Lan Wangji forever. And now you're married Wei Wuxian. You can finally be with him. Now please spare us all your eternal pining."

Wei Wuxian flushed a bit in embarrassment, but no amount of teasing would be able to reduce the joy he currently felt. He was married to his Lan Zhan. He could handle a bit of teasing.

"I remember when they met as well," Xichen-ge added, "Chifeng Zun had mentioned the adventures of his two younger brothers, and I too wished for my brother to make friends with those his own age. I could see it in Wangji's eyes when A-Xian called him beautiful. He was in love with Wei Wuxian from that moment. And I watched for years as he pined, wishing he could be with his fated one. No one was happier than I when the two of them confessed their feelings. A-Xian, Wangji, your marriage is not just one of equal standing. You balance each other and suit each other in every regard. You are each other's equal. But you are also each other's closest friend and confidant. This is not just a marriage to ally the sects. This is a marriage between two Zhiji. Two cultivators who truly love and respect one another. I hope you both will be happy together."

"Thank you, Brother," Lan Zhan said, bowing towards him, before turning towards Da-ge, "Nie Zongzhu.

"Thank you, Da-ge, Er-ge," Wei Wuxian said, towards his two brothers, before nodding at Lan Xichen, "Xichen-ge. It means the world to me that you have all always support my relationship with Lan Zhan. Even when I did not know what it was that I wanted, you never pushed me towards anything. You let me come to terms with my feelings in my own time, and you supported me every step of the way."

His brothers gave him a fond look as they raised their cups to drink together. He poured a cup of tea for Lan Zhan to use, smiling at his husband as he did so.

As the night progressed, the party took a more relaxed turn, with drinking, music, and celebrations at every turn. Cultivators and guests alike mingled freely, sharing laughter and drinks with one another. At any other wedding, he would have been tempted to wander about, but today he was content where he was.

"Lan Zhan," Wei Wuxian said, as the night began wearing down. The others were still celebrating, but Wei Wuxian had reached his end. He didn't want to stay anymore. Not when he'd been patient for so long."

"Wei Ying," Lan Zhan said, in agreement. He stood up carefully, taking Wei Wuxian's hand in his own, "Let us retire."

"Mm," he said in agreement, eager to leave. He shot Er-ge a look, as his brother smirked at him, raising a cup of wine, and Wei Wuxian grinned back, following Lan Zhan out of the main hall and towards his chambers.

Their chambers. Lan Zhan would be moving in with him for when they were in Qinghe. The two of them, living together, for the rest of their lives.

"Lan Zhan," he said, as he closed the door to his chambers, turning around, only to be pinned against the door, Lan Zhan's hands on either side of him, "Lan Zhan."

He let out a gasp then, as Lan Zhan's lips went to his neck, kissing him gently, as Wei Wuxian's fingers went through Lan Zhan's hair.

"Lan Zhan," he moaned, "Lan Zhan, please."

"What does Wei Ying want?" Lan Zhan asked, before kissing him on the lips. He melted into it, Lan Zhan's arms around him then, pulling him closer.

"Lan Zhan, please?" he begged, "Please. I missed you so much. It's been so long since I've been with you. Lan Zhan."

"Wei Ying," Lan Zhan said, eyes darkening, "Mark your words."

"They're marked," he moaned against Lan Zhan, "So very marked. Please, your poor wife needs you, Lan er-gege. Please take him. Please."

Lan Zhan was quick to undo Wei Wuxian's outer robes then, moving swiftly to remove the delicate ties binding the robes together. Wei Wuxian reached into his own hair, removing the ornaments Er-ge had placed in it earlier, as he placed them on his dressing table, scattered about. All the while, Lan Zhan removed his robes with care, placing them neatly aside.

"Lan Zhan," he said with a shiver, his body naked under Lan Zhan's gaze, "Lan er-gege, it's not fair that I'm the only one without clothes on. Please, I need to see you."

He tugged at Lan Zhan's outer robe, and pulling them apart, and his husband was quick to join him, until finally, they both stood there, naked in front of each other. Vulnerable to one another.

"Lan Zhan, your poor wife needs you," he said again, with a breathy voice, and Lan Zhan all but picked him up, throwing him onto the bed, before climbing up on top of him.

He pulled Lan Zhan closer to him, kissing his husband's lips as his arms wrapped around Lan Zhan's neck. He heard Lan Zhan groan, as he continued to support himself, hovering over Wei Wuxian's body.

"Lan Zhan," he said breathlessly, "Lan Zhan, you're my husband now. We're married. We're really, really married."

Lan Zhan looked at him with soft eyes, and he pulled the man back towards him, needing to kiss his husband silly.

"Wei Ying is my husband," Lan Zhan said in between kisses, "He is mine."

"Yours," Wei Wuxian agreed, as he felt himself grow harder with every passing moment, "I'm all yours, Husband."

"Wife," Lan Zhan said, biting down on Wei Wuxian's collar bone.

"So violent with your wife," Wei Wuxian moaned into him, "Lan Zhan, please. I need you. Please? I've waited so, so long for this. To be taken by you, as your wife. Please. I need you so badly, Lan er-gege. Please, Husband?"

Lan Zhan leaned over Wei Wuxian, as he dipped his fingers into the pot of oil by Wei Wuxian's bedside. He felt wet fingers breach his hole then, and Wei Wuxian arched his back into the touch, as a finger penetrated his hole.

He let out a sob, as Lan Zhan began thrusting it in and out of him, loosening him up with each thrust.

"Lan Zhan," he begged, "Please, Lan er-gege. Please be gentle with your wife. I'm but a poor virgin, being taken by my husband for the first time."

Lan Zhan's eyes darkened at that, clearly liking the idea he'd thrown out there. The fingers picked up pace, clearly having no regard for Wei Wuxian's apparent plight, and he let out a breathy moan, as Lan Zhan inserted another finger.

"Wei Ying will take me," Lan Zhan said, removing his fingers then, "It is his duty as my wife. Wei Ying will perform it well."

He braced himself, as he felt Lan Zhan's long length penetrating him then, and he let out a cry as inch after inch pushed into him.

"Lan Zhan, please," he said, "Be gentle with me."

"I will not," Lan Zhan said, looking him in the eyes, as he began to move, punching into him with thrust after thrust.

"Lan Zhan," he gasped, "Lan Zhan, so good. You're so good for me, Husband. You feel so good inside of me. You're hitting me so deeply. Oh. Oh. Oh. Fuck, Lan er-gege. Please, keep doing that."

Lan Zhan leaned in, capturing Wei Wuxian's lips in his own, kissing him deeper, as Wei Wuxian dug his nails into Lan Zhan's back, needing to feel more of him.

"I love you," he cried out, as Lan Zhan hit his prostrate again and again, "I love you, Lan Zhan. My husband. Mine. Forever."

"Mine," Lan Zhan agreed, as he looked at Wei Wuxian, "Wei Ying is mine. My husband. My zhiji. My partner. Will never leave Wei Ying again. Will stay by his side always."

"Please," he sobbed, holding on tightly, as Lan Zhan continued to thrust into him. He felt himself grow more and more on edge, as his breathing began to stagger. He could tell Lan Zhan was getting close then too, from the way his every thrust penetrated deeper. He was getting sloppier with his thrusts, and Wei Wuxian pulled Lan Zhan in for a deep kiss then.

He stayed like that, connected to Lan Zhan in every way, as he felt himself come undone. His hole was filled with cum then, and Lan Zhan pulled out finally, rolling over beside him on the bed.

He didn't protest when his husband got up to clean them both off, knowing that Lan Zhan hated lying around while covered in their fluids, and as his husband got back into the bed, he rolled into him, hugging Lan Zhan's muscular chest tightly, as he cuddled him.

"We're really married," Wei Wuxian beamed up, looking at Lan Zhan, and Lan Zhan smiled at him, as he kissed Wei Wuxian again.

"We're married," Lan Zhan agreed, and he felt his eyes begin to droop at that.

He closed his eyes, surrounded by the warmth of his husband, as a smile filled his face. He was ready for this to be his new forever.
