SilverPsychic; So today on Psy's adventures in re-reading, we have Psy cringing at past chapters and asking 'Why are any of you still reading this?!' Because holy, this fanfic was far from 'good' in the beginning. I'm glad to know, writing-wise, I have grown. Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy you all are still here! But what told you; 'I just have to give a little faith this will get better.'?

Shadow; It's a miracle. Because soon you'll look back at this chapter and cringe at yourself. I see how you will see it in the future.

SilverPsychic; … . And that was; Psy's Adventures in Re-reading! Thank you! Thank you for tuning in! Next up, we have All Might doing the disclaimer!

All Might; Really? Me? What an honor. *turns buff* SilverPsychic owns absolutely NOTHING here! Simply the interesting creativity to bring the two together! Horikoshi owns all of My Hero Academia and SEEEGAAAAAAAAAA owns all of Sonic! *coughs and turns weak again* Anyone got a tissue?

(SilverPsychic; Happy -slightly late- Easter! And April Fools Day everyone!)

Chapter 31; Rainy Night

Silver grinned as he watched Mirio leave the hospital room with a teary smile. Aizawa followed Mirio, and both of them went off to get lunch. Izuku turned to Nighteye as the door closed. Silver watched the door click as the room fell quiet. Earlier a lit with a happy conversation between students and mentor. Nighteye's machines beeped as he breathed slightly raspy. The pro hero had been in a coma for two months or so and now they sat in awkward silence.

"So…" Midoriya nervously began to fill the void of a conversation, "Uh…did you…dream about anything? Can you dream in a coma..?" The green-haired trainee rocked back and forward with a stiff laugh.

Nighteye's eyes locked with Silver with a stiff breath, "...Explain."

Silver stepped away from the door, took a deep breath, and walked towards the resting pro, "It's…a little complicated. But, if you're sure you're up for it, I'll explain," Nighteye nodded stiffly and Silver pulled out the Chaos Emerald from his pocket, "...Uh, this is a Chaos Emerald." The psychic wasn't exactly sure how to start this explanation. Izuku was drawn in a little closer, having only seen the emerald a couple of times and normally only for short bursts of time. The beautiful emerald shone, giving off its soft green lighting. The air buzzed lightly with the beautiful energy the emerald gave off, "It helped me save your life?" It sounded more unsure because Silver still wasn't sure how to start this explanation. Nighteye's eyes widened a little seeing such a large glittering gem.

"What?"

Understandably, Nighteye was confused. How could a rock save his life? It wasn't like rocks had quirks. Izuku leaned closer, even more, the emerald's natural energy had that tendency to draw people to it like a moth to a flame. Some sought the power, while others like Silver were drawn to the comfort it gave. Others just enjoyed the beauty of the emerald, despite the power it held. Silver wasn't sure which reason drew Izuku closer or made Nighteye stare (he was still not allowed to move much yet) because everyone seemed to have a slightly different feeling that drew them to the emerald. Such a mystical object sure knew how to draw anyone near. Silver put the emerald closer to Nighteye's chest. The sacred gem pulsed barely noticeably with the beat of the Pro's heart.

"Right, uh, that sounds weird." Silver cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, "Uh…you see…" The psychic took a deep breath, "I'm from a different planet." The air was stiff, almost as if time had frozen. His throat went dry as Nighteye's expression slowly turned into one of 'This child is insane'. Silver's shoulders tensed as an uncomfortable tingle flooded through his veins, "I-I know that sounds weird! And crazy! Just let me explain." Izuku shifted a little, seeming to realize he had been leaning towards the shiny gem unintentionally, "I'm from a planet called Mobius, and so is Mephlies. And the Chaos Emerald. I'm not normally human, and to be honest I'm not sure how I am right now. B-But that small hedgehog form I was in for the last part of the raid, that's my natural form." Letting out a shaky breath, he continued before Nighteye could say anything, "The Chaos Emerald is a magical gem in my world, i-it's like uh…like a legend? A folktale? But it's real because I'm holding it. But they are magic, having the ability to turn thoughts into reality." Silver couldn't help pouring information out of nervousness, each word shakily tumbling from his lips.

"They?" Izuku echoed, quickly cutting in Silver's nervous information rant as he leaned against Nighteye's hospital bed.

Silver gripped the emerald tighter, "Yeah, they. There are seven of them." Izuku's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. Silver only skimmed over the Chaos Emerald when he was telling Izuku and All Might he regained his memory. So the emerald freshman was shocked, he knew a single Chaos Emerald was powerful. With the ability to turn thoughts into reality and all. But imagine having SEVEN rocks that could warp reality! "It's hard to explain, there is a bunch of history surrounding the Emeralds and all. We don't have time to get into that. But the Chaos Emerald helped me save your life. Humans are Chaos Sensitive, so that's why it only took one Emerald's power to save your life. Or, that's my theory. Normally it takes all seven and a ritual…" Nighteye stared at both teens, unable to process the sudden information, "I'm not evil, I promise. I didn't come here on purpose either! I was brought here against my will…and now I'm stuck here. I'm Izuku's counterpart, so if that gives you any idea of my morality and intentions t-then I hope you understand I'm telling the truth…" Silver glanced down, biting his lip as he pulled the emerald away.

He had to keep his explanation quick as well as informative. Silver didn't know when Mirio or Aizawa would be coming back. Nighteye stayed silent for a long while, opening and closing his mouth as his brain misfired. That…was a lot. Fighting, dying, being saved, put into a coma, then told this kid was an alien hedgehog with a shiny rock that could warp reality. It was no wonder the poor Pro was squinting and gawking. Izuku stepped closer to Silver, tapping his shoulder and glancing at the gem. Silver blinked, not quite getting the gesture for a second or two. Oh, Izuku must have wanted to hold the Chaos Emerald. Not seeing much wrong with it for the time being, Silver let his friend hold the emerald. The teen cupped his hands, the gentle weight of the emerald falling into his hands. Izuku almost couldn't understand why Silver even wore gloves while holding the emerald. The energy was so calming and pure like sheer magic tickling his body. Though it did spike a little in Izuku. The purity from the emerald was soothing and soft, smooth almost. While his adrenaline felt more prickly and tingling inside him, like a bunch of sharp scribbles.

As Izuku marveled at the mystic gem in his hands, feeling the two feelings clash inside him in minor intervals, Nighteye shifted. Silver held his breath, awaiting some sort of response from the earlier comatosed hero. Silver's hands grew sweaty and clammy. His throat ran dry and his ears drooped a little. Had he given enough information? Did he have time to explain more? Would Nighteye trust Silver? Or would he throw Silver back to the villains, like a slab of meat to drooling wolves… He was unable to look away from the golden eyes of Nighteye. Almost entranced, but more out of fear for his future. Every time he opened this secret to someone, there was always that large risk that they could choose Silver as a villain. What would happen after that?

Back to the villains was what Silver found most likely…but he could also be reported to authorities. The legal government labs would take him into a base…where Silver would never see the light of day again…his whole life would be stripped away. So…as much as Silver hated lying…he hated the idea that one wrong move or one small misunderstanding could lead to his whole life being chained up in some government's basement. Where no 'hero' could save him, it would be 'ok' because it was the government. Where Silver had no chance of escape. No free will. Shoved with all kinds of needles or edited or be a weapon against his own home. The negative outcomes were endless, yet he held onto a small amount of the positive ones. Hoping that Nighteye would take pity or have empathy or just…understand Silver wasn't evil.

The psychic gripped his inhibitor ring on his wrist, shifting it back and forth as the weight gripped his chest. Anticipation…he was beginning to hate the waiting and the silence more than the outcome itself. "Show me." Nighteye stated fairly blankly, "Show me you're an alien." Still in bed and wrapped with machines, his tone alone was sharp enough to make Silver follow the order without question. Izuku lowered the emerald a little, watching Silver shift into his hedgehog form. Silver's quills bounced a little at the shift, "...come here," Nighteye whispered sternly.

Silver quickly walked over to the side of the bed, his nose being in line with the mattress due to his shorter hedgehog size. The ashen hedgehog was about to apologize when Nighteye grabbed a handful of Silver's quills. The psychic yelped, trying hard to keep his quills soft and dull to not poke the already recovering Pro. Nighteye forced Silver's head to look up a little, both golden eyes locking together. Izuku stiffened watching this interaction, unsure exactly what to make of what he was watching. The grip on his quills tightened, Silver, shrinking a little at the feeling. He could see Nighteye's eyes shift into a soft purple undertone, those hints of gears running fast. Foresight? Was Nighteye using Foresight on Silver? Even after that whole big fuss about how he hated using Foresight because it locked in someone's future?

Watching the purple gears spin in Nighteye's right eye was almost hypnotic. Spinning faster and faster, those gears worked to show Nighteye Silver's future. Not just a few seconds into the future, but with the intensity of the spinning, Silver would have to guess Nighteye was looking deep into Silver's future. But…why? The psychic didn't understand the point behind the action. The Pro's glowering expression began to soften as he stared at Silver. Izuku clutched the emerald tighter, subconsciously clinging to the comfort the gem brought. Nighteye's orbs, though fairly distant, softened. He stared at Silver with a look of sorrow, which made his stomach churn. That wasn't a good look for someone who is seeing your future to give you. Silver kept his eyes locked with the Pro's own. His peripheral vision began to tip and twist subtly. A dull pain sprouted in Silver's head, quickly growing more intense as the seconds passed.

A vision? Silver leaned forward, gripping his head. The world spun faster and tighter, almost suffocating him in the dizziness. The psychic couldn't tell if the reaction to his Foresight was getting better or worse…his ears began ringing loudly. A weight played behind his eyes and on his head, spots dancing in his vision. His quills began to tense, rising in pain and accidentally cutting and impaling Nighteye's hand. Silver's body fell limp, his consciousness falling through his body and slipping into darkness.

Numbness covered his body, there was no particular feeling. Was it hot? Cold? Wet? Heavy? …It was just…numb…and empty. Not a thought crossed his mind. His vision was black as if he had his eyes closed yet they were open, his ears didn't pick up a single sound. It was truly like he was in a void of all darkness and emptiness. The psychic had no control, no question, no thought. Staring mindlessly into/at nothing. The glow from his psychic power was the only light around, softly glowing from his gloves and rings. If he were to have paid attention, Silver most likely would have noticed a few other things. Some of which were a little alarming. Yet no emotion nor concern ran through him. It was as if Silver was deep underwater as only a shell of his being floated. He wasn't standing, merely floating in place. Yet not of his power. What little feeling he had begun to slip away as he softly fell endlessly.

The headache he had was more of a migraine. His eyes blinked open. Nighteye was still holding Silver by his quills, blood dripping into the psychic's vision. His arms swung softly at his sides. Holy…crap…the ashen hedgehog was about ready to jump into Izuku's mind and leave his own body. Raising a hand to touch his head, Izuku was by Silver's side.

"-do you think it could have been-" Izuku spoke softly as he held his friend gently. He turned to see the hedgehog move, growing a relieved smile, "Silver! Are you ok? Was that a vision?" Nighteye let go of Silver's quills, the hero's hands bleeding due to the sharpness of the quills.

Silver whined a little as he gripped his head and shifted back into standing, "I don't know…" Nighteye flexed his bleeding hand a little, checking out how deep the cuts were, "That was…weird…it felt like Foresight when passing out and waking up but…I don't think that was a vision…" His mind began working overdrive, everything about that 'vision' had been so wrong.

Now that he thought about it, his wrists and ankles had been anchored by some chains. Why? His mind had been blank, no feeling emotional nor physical had crossed him. Where had he been? Was that his future? Seemed pretty…dark…and gloomy. But he had no Vision Intuition. He hadn't seen himself doing anything it felt like he was just vibing there in real-time. Whenever he had a vision it seemed more like a dream, there was just this weird feeling when Foresight was in action. It was like a mental paradox of sorts…like when he was into those visions it was distant. Fein from reality. Yet what he had just experienced didn't feel like a vision. There was no dreamy feeling, yet it felt more like a real-time memory. It was...weird. What was it?

Nighteye's words shifted Silver from his thoughts, "I believe you…" The Pro coddled his bleeding hand with a thoughtful and sorrowful expression, "...You have pure intent, I trust you." He murmured, the hero not daring to look at Silver again.

What had Nighteye seen in Silver's future that would give the pro such a reaction? The temptation inside him begged to know the answer to all of his questions. Would they defeat Shigaraki? Save Earth from the horrors of the LOV? Would he go home? Would he see Blaze ever again? Would he be able to watch Espio work in the Chaotix ever again? Would he save his future? Was his goal obtainable? Was there hope for a brighter future? Would he ever get a family? Or would everything be worthless and futile and would he die in a stupid and/or horrible way? The psychic knew that Nighteye probably saw those answers. Ears perking and breath hitching, Silver stared at Nighteye for some sort of hint. Yet, the majority of his being knew that knowing his fate could do more harm than good. Taking a deep breath, Silver quickly tried to snuff out that little part of him. It was best for everyone if he didn't ask to know his future.

Still shaken from the weird void thing that happened, Silver nodded, "Thank you, I'm glad I could prove I am a hero, for better or worse. Even if all I did was show you an Emerald and pass out." The ashen hedgehog gave a soft, understanding smile.

Whatever future Nighteye had seen, it was probably going to weigh on him for a while. Silver doubted things were going to be easy, he very much expected some more trauma down the line. He just hoped the weight Nighteye held was those hardships he saw, and not that Silver's life would never have hope. Or that he would spend it all chasing something that was barely imaginable. Silver hoped that after all the pain, there would be that happy ending. If Nighteye was just worried and pitiful for the hardship to come, Silver could handle that. If Nighteye was weighed down by the negativity of knowing the psychic's fate would be cruel…Silver didn't even want to think about it. Knowing life never treated Silver kindly, the freshmen choose to believe Nighteye was merely sorry for the future hardships. But that one day it would all be worth it.

The clock clicked to a solid ten minutes since Mirio and Aizawa left. What was taking them so long with lunch? The room fell silent. Silver could hear his own heartbeat in his ears. The muscles in his chest pounded loudly as cold snakes slithered in his blood. His head pounded like a mad cat trying to escape. Silver shoved his palm into his forehead as his fingers dug into his quills. Man, he needed some tea soon. 'At least Nighteye is on the "Don't care if you're an alien" team…That makes things a little less complicated.' Silver thought to himself, taking his emerald back from Izuku.

"...That's good," Midoriya said as he rose from the floor, "I'm glad we solved that at least." Nighteye still refused to look at Silver, a guilty expression tucked away in his eyes. "So, you're not gonna tell people about Silver, right?" Izuku asked for confirmation, the Pro nodded slowly to prove he wouldn't go against Silver, "That's great! Now, moving that aside. About Silver's Foresight, Nighteye, do you think you can help teach Silver how to control it?"

Silver snuggled under his covers, once again wrapped in all his blankets. The heat was soothing, like a perfect hug. His baggy Tee shirt and shorts were plenty comfy coupled with the fuzzy blanket. Fleece, Wool, Fur. Silver loved the fuzzy comfy warm blanket so much, he didn't exactly know what it was made of but it was better than his fur coat. After being around in the heat for so long…his fur had grown thin. So he wouldn't overheat. But it made him have trouble with colder seasons or places. His fur was too thin to keep much body heat, plus his body did not like to produce much body heat because he was more acclimated for warmer weather. Since he couldn't hold body heat of his own, the fuzzy blankets and coats he had did the job plenty well.

In his hedgehog form, Silver smiled softly as he covered his face in blankets. So warm…so comfy. The room may have been cold with a soft nip to his nose due to him forgetting to get a heater. Yet the bed was the perfect pocket of warmth. Sure, it was 10 AM on a Saturday. Yeah, Silver planned to spend the whole day snuggled away safely in his bed. What was anyone else gonna do about it? The hedgehog needed a peaceful rest, a break from all the chaos. Just a day to pamper himself however he saw fit. And if he saw sleeping all day as pampering then no one was gonna stop him. There were no plans, no school, no work, just a free day. Finally-

His phone buzzed.

Silver's smile fell a little, still in a state of half-sleeping. Yet he just burrowed into the burrito burrow he created out of his blanket. Putting his arms together, Silver rested his head on his arms. Fluffing his quills like a pillow, the psychic let his body heat soak into him as he rested. This was amazing. Ain't no way in the name of Chaos that Silver was gonna let a text wake him. His ear twitched ever so slightly. Silver wrapped the blanket around him tighter. The psychic hedgehog's chest fluffed bushing in his face as he shifted, the electricity from his movement making his chest fur get a little static. His body is limp and his mind wanders into dreams.

Bzzt. Bzzt.

"Mmm.." Silver hummed in annoyance, his phone kept getting texts. But he was too comfy to check. He knew once he did…his mind would be too awake to go back to sleep. He rolled over, trying to ignore the buzzing of his phone.

But then his mind started to worry. Was it Aizawa? Or All Might? If Silver straight up ignored his teachers on accident that would end badly. Well…sleep…or answering the texts that could be his teachers…with a groan, he sat up. His quills disheveled and his chest fur poofed. He frowned as he stared at the wall, glaring sourly at nothing as his mind woke up. Letting the sweetness of unconsciousness fade away. Silver let out an exasperated sigh and rubbed his eyes. As his mind kicked into gear, he yawned while wiping away the sleepy sand. Leaning over, Silver grabbed his phone from the nearby bedside table.

Glancing at the lock-screen of a sunset earlier in the month, the ivory hedgehog's mind stared at the messages. Aizawa. His face remained indifferent before it was finally processed. Oh! It was his teacher! Silver's quills rose a little in surprise, the one chance it could have been his teacher and it was. He wasn't gonna lie, he expected it to be Izuku asking why he was sleeping in so late. Silver unlocked his phone and shifted into his bed. His blankets fell off his back as he opened the messages.

Aizawa: Come to the Principal's Office

Aizawa: It's important

Aizawa: I assure you, whatever you are baking can wait

Aizawa: Are you ok?

Silver tensed. He had accidentally given his teacher the impression he was unsafe. All he was trying to do was sleep…Oops. Shifting into his human form, Silver tossed the phone onto the bed. Grabbing those golden limiters, the hedgehog stumbled out of bed. He ripped the covers off and tossed his rings onto his bed. He slipped on his gloves quickly then clipped on his inhibitors. Silver quickly grabbed a shirt and some pants and changed out of his sleepwear. His hair was a mess still but he didn't have time to worry about that. Slipping on his boots, Silver flung open his dorm door. He ran about three doors down the hall before skidding to a halt. He forgot his phone. Silver ran back to his dorm, lifted the sheets and grabbed his phone, then ran back out. His bed was a mess, and so was his dresser. The drawer was left open and the sheets ripped off the bed. Oh well…

Stumbling over his own feet, Silver ran to the elevator. Once the door opened, Silver stepped inside. He sighed waiting as the elevator slowly made its descent. The soft murmurs of rumblings echoed through his boots. Man, the elevators were weird. It always gave him this… zero-gravity kinda feel. Yet he wasn't floating away. Silver put his phone into his pocket so he wouldn't forget it again. The elevator door dinged happily after completing its job and leaving Silver in the Common Area. Without sparing more than a second, Silver bolted out of the elevator. Rushing passed his class, which were all chatting and some playing video games, Silver quickly reached the front door. Reaching up and grabbing his navy blue coat from off the rack, Silver felt Hagakure once again pull at his arm.

"HEY! Don't run into me! That's very rude!" She huffed and pushed Silver, who hadn't even noticed he had accidentally bumped into her while grabbing his coat, "What's your deal now? What's the rush?"

Silver opened his mouth to reply yet was cut off before he could, "Oh, hey Silver! You slept for a while, do you feel better?" Izuku leaned a little out from behind Iida, assuming the two had earlier been locked in conversation before Silver came running down like a panicked mail-boy.

"Yes," Iida interjected before Silver could respond again, "We figured you needed the rest after the long week you've had." Silver listened to Iida as he slipped on his coat, sliding one arm into his coat sleeve. "You look like you've been plenty stressed. And you know how stress tends to cause insomnia," Iida chopped the air as he spoke about his concerns for Silver's health, "You must feel better after sleeping for so long, right?" Silver slipped the other arm into his sleeve and hastily began buttoning the yellow buttons.

Trying to smile and reply to his friends, Silver fiddled with the third button, "Uh, yeah. I slept well, thank you for letting me sleep in." Silver felt a frown tug at his lips as he looked down working on the fifth button now, "I don't think Aizawa is very happy I did though." Finally all the buttons were done.

"Oh no, were you late on an assignment?" Iida asked as his brows knit together.

Izuku smiled a little, "Those buttons are in the wrong holes." He pointed out, "And your hair is not brushed." Midoriya squinted a little, "I also think your inhibitor rings are backward."

Silver glanced at himself, he truly looked like a mess, "...Thanks for the input." Silver mumbled as he turned for the door, he was truly glad Izuku cared enough about him to make sure Silver had his stuff right before heading off. Yet Silver had no time.

Completely ignoring poor Iida, Silver ran out the door. He could have stayed and chatted with his class longer, all day even, but he was sure Aizawa wouldn't have loved that. Once again following the concrete pathway, Silver found himself at the High School in about five minutes. Silver panted as he reached the principal's office. Opening the door, once again he was met with all his teachers together in the office. The hedgie-boy frowned, had he messed up? Wait…no…was this about his spot in UA? His heart sped up as he stepped inside. All Might, Present Mic, Aizawa, Cementos, Ectoplasm, Midnight, and Nezu all sat on the comfy couches in the school leader's office.
