"So let me get this straight." Yang said. "You guys went on a wild goose chase with a faulty device that this Nefarious had left you-"
"Uh-huh."
"-And instead of coming here, you wind up in some evil scientist's lair-"
"He looked more like a pharmacist if I'm being honest." Ratchet said.
"-Witnessed a platypus beating the hell out of him, then you guys ran into a psychopath beating up his son and nearly turned you into paste, ran into a grumpy old friend that is a God of War, found an elf girl who hopelessly kept getting trapped inside Mimics, which, by the way, why did you even stick around for a few hours with her?"
"Honestly? We were rooting for her and wanted her to actually find treasure. Unfortunately, it was a lost cause."
"Sounds like she's got more bad luck than Qrow." Blake said.
"-And then you guys wound up in a pizzaplex with a killer wolf animatronic about to slaughter you, found yourselves in a circus with a weirdo that has teeth for a head and eyeballs in his mouth… and almost got crushed by a giant?"
"Yeah, that about sums it up." Ratchet nodded.
"Man, you guys have been through it."
"Oooh yeah." Ratchet nodded.
"Thankfully, we're here now." Clank said.
"There you guys are." A voice said as they turned to see Jade and Futaba approaching, the latter looking a little better.
"How are you feeling?" Iris asked.
"Mmm… okay, I gue-" Futaba paused, seeing Ratchet and Clank. "Whoa! What the heck are they doing here?!"
"Helping you guys out." Ratchet said.
"...Sweet." Futaba nodded.
"Oh, by the way, we ran into these guys." Jade said as a Purrloin, Meowstic, Zeraora, Umbreon, Spectrier and Absol approached.
"Oh!" Blake smiled as her Pokemon approached her with smiles as Blake attempted to hug them. "Mmm, this is about as far as I can go…"
"Soooo… I take it you guys defeated the Tita-" Futaba noticed Nero still in his super form. "What the?!"
"Surprised?"
"...Vergil's gonna be jealous." Futaba chuckled as the Great Fox arrived, then everyone walked in and flew off.
"So, who're the new guys?" Peppy asked.
"I'm Ratchet and this is Clank."
"Hello there."
Meanwhile…
"Doctor! We got urgent news!" Orbot went up to him.
"Yes, what is it?"
"You know that project that Pyrrha was working on? She sent it over to Argus in a giant mech."
"Well, that didn't take her long… can't say I'm surprised." Eggman said, sipping some hot cocoa. "So, what was this project?"
"It was a nuke."
Eggman spat out his drink. "WHAT?!"
"Yes! And Argus is nothing more than a flattened crater."
"Oh, that's terrific. Now everyone will think I'm a nuclear arms dealer!" Eggman sarcastically exclaimed. "Just… leave me alone for a few minutes."
"Understood." Orbot nodded and wandered off.
"Mmmm… I feel like what just happened might just screw me over on this invasion…"
Kyoko folded her arms. "So even he wasn't aware…"
She spotted an Eggman Memo and picked it up.
"There comes a point in time where you have to just take a step back and take a good look at yourself. Pyrrha's project was so top secret that not even I was allowed to look into it. I didn't think much of it anyway given that I was more focused on the invasion. As far as I knew, she was wanting to surprise me and didn't want my attention.
So when I found out that she ordered to nuke Argus… that's when I realized that the invasion took a turning point in the hero's favor. They're all collecting the Chaos Emeralds that I cleverly hidden away… well, most of them. Apparently the Purple Emerald that Captain Syrup stole was taken to Fodlan after MAJC took it away from her.
But anyway, they're collecting the Chaos Emeralds… but now they're having anger be their motivation to stop me. I started this war, yes… but I had no intention on incinerating an entire city. I was only going to preserve it in chromium so Salem wouldn't destroy it herself.
My goal was to preserve, not incinerate. Even I know nukes can be messy, that's why I never bothered with them. So when I heard Pyrrha nuked her home… I knew for a fact that my invasion was just about finished and sooner or later, the heroes will be knocking at my doorstep.
I should probably find a way to get that metal cap off of her… but if I do that, then her mental state would more than likely take a nose dive since the chromium affected her brain. Hmmm… maybe I should've gone with a mask instead. They're easier to take off.
I've created a monster…"
Kyoko swore she heard a quiet defeated sniffle from Eggman.
"What have I done?"
Kyoko frowned. "It sounds to me that he needed a hug at that moment. Not even he knew about the nuke… that poor man."
Back with the heroes…
Lasers fired all around until they struck the Super turned heroes, sending them crashing to the ground and scattering the Chaos Emeralds around while the Great Fox decided to land at the bottom of the mountain, as there was a different problem they were dealing with.
The volcano decided to become active and erupted, sending volcanic debris flying toward the Great Fox. They had put up a barrier to protect themselves and were forced to land before the shields could sustain heavy damage.
"Is that a trend around here?" Ratchet asked.
"You'd be surprised." Winter responded as they walked out and went after the five, as Nero was the first to get up, stretching and popping his back.
"Hell of a way to get me out of that form." Nero said as Weiss got up with a groan, rubbing her head.
"Is everyone else okay?"
"Aside from a headache, I'm fine." Sonic said.
"I'm good!" SAPR gave her the thumbs up.
"So am I." Penny nodded after smacking her head sideways to get some dirt out of her ear.
"Are you guys alright?" Winter called out to them as they approached.
"Yeah! …Kinda." Weiss said, feeling a bit woozy.
"Sol…" Seer frowned, approaching both Weiss and Sonic out of concern.
"Something up, sweetie?" Blake asked as the Absol turned his head around.
"Ab Ab Absol Sol."
"Uh… anyone speak… whatever that is?" Ratchet wondered.
"I can translate for 'em." Penny spoke up. "He's saying that Weiss and Sonic are slowly getting more and more corrupted by the cyber technology."
"Ugh, that explains why I'm tasting metal…" Weiss grumbled.
"All I'm hearing is "beep beep boop bop" in my head… and it's neither ROB, Game and Watch or BB-8…"
"I was afraid of that." Futaba said.
Penny closed her eyes, sighing. "Guys… there's something I've been meaning to tell you. You two are getting slowly corrupted by the Cyber technology. Soon, you're gonna be… one with Cyberspace and there may not be a way to get you back."
BGM: Luma (Super Mario Galaxy)
"What?!" Weiss said in surprise. "No…"
"Hmmm…" Sonic folded his arms. "Not the worst thing that's happened to me, but that's pretty up there." He then smirked. "Let's just worry about the present right now. I'm sure we'll figure out some way to get ourselves out of this mess!"
Penny looked away in shame. "I've been wanting to tell you this for awhile but… I couldn't figure out the best way to say it. I'm sorry…"
Weiss stumbled over to Penny. "Penny… it's not your fault… if I were in your shoes, I'd struggle to find my words too…" She said and gave her a hug.
"Weiss…" Penny whispered and returned the hug, tears forming in her eyes.
"Is there a way to get rid of the corruption?" Meryl wondered.
"By golly, I'm gonna try." Futaba said as she brought up her Technomagic. "I'm not gonna let Cyberspace have you two."
"Are you sure you're in the best condition right now?" Iris asked. "Considering… you know…"
Futaba paused for a moment before clenching her fists. "I'll be fine."
Weiss turned to the others. "You guys are surprisingly silent over this."
"Well… we're just trying to process what we just heard." Yang said. "I mean, after all you've been through, the last thing you need is to be permanently stuck in this. You and Sonic."
"Yeah, that's… I got nothing." Blake said. "That's way beyond what I went through…"
"Right now, the best way to go about this is trying not to worry about it. We'll find Eggman before your bodies are corrupted." Winter reassured.
"I hope so…" Weiss said.
"I don't think we have much time though. Do we?" Mine wondered.
"I'm not entirely sure…" Nagisa mumbled with a frown.
Weiss looked at Blake's Pokemon. "I think I ought to… switch things up a bit… given this island has volcanic activity."
"Probably for the best." Futaba said, bringing up the Pelago. "Alright, what ya need?"
"I'll watch over Manaphy for the time being." Winter said, gently opening her arms up for Manaphy.
"Auntie Wint-y!" Manaphy smiled and jumped into her arms to nuzzle her, causing Winter to chuckle and scratched his head.
"Adorable…" Winter smiled.

Some Pokemon switched around later…
Calyrex climbed up on Spectrier. "Been a while since I've rode on you."
"Sheeeeiiiighed!"
"Okay, so that's Shadow Rider Calyrex, Seer, Phoenix, Dahuo, my bro's Marowak and Mari." Futaba said. "...Hang on, what did you call your Marowak again, bro?"
Jataro smiled. "Callen."
"Ah, right!"
At that moment, they heard a whistle that caught everyone's attention as they saw GLaDOS waving them over. "Over here!" She called out.
"Hey!" Nagisa waved as they walked over to her as Weiss recalled her Pokemon, though Seer insisted on staying out.
"You're that worried over us?" Weiss asked as the Absol nodded. "You're sweet." She patted him on the head as they approached GLaDOS.
"How you holding up?" Nagisa asked.
"We're doing okay." GLaDOS said. "And yes, I said "we". The Vocaloids are saying hi."
"Heya~!" Miku greeted.
"Cave is trying to get Ruby and co out of that sphere thing. Meanwhile, we recently saw this robot guy trying to pick up a sword."
"...What do you mean "Robot guy"?" Ratchet asked.
"Green, cybertronic, seems to be mentally unstable and has a butler."
"Yeeeup, that's Nefarious all right…"
"I had a feeling he had beaten us to it." Clank said.
GLaDOS side glanced them. "Sooo, who are these guys?"
One explanation and introduction later…
"Nice to meet you."
"A sword, you say?" Sonic sounded intrigued. "Now you have my attention."
"We'll worry about that later. Cave is this way." GLaDOS walked off toward some ruins, while they also took care of some cyber enemies along the way, consisting of Koopatrols, Heartless, and-"
"Hee ho!"
"What the heck?" Weiss wondered, staring at a Jack Frost.
"Oh, it's a Jack Frost." Futaba said.
"Hee ho! Hee ho!"
"...Hee ho?" Jade tilted her head.
"Hee ho." Sonic shrugged.
"Hee ho!" Futaba giggled.
"...Hee ho?" Dipper shrugged with a chuckle.
"Hee ho! Hee ho!" Penny and SAPR happily chanted.
"Chaos Ho! No, Hee Spear! …Rrrgh!" Shadow used a Chaos Spear on the Jack Frost to get rid of it.
"Grump." Futaba deadpanned.
"That's enough "Hee hos" for now." Shadow mumbled as they approached the Cyber Prison, where Cave was trying to figure out how to get them out, all the while the others were chatting amongst themselves.

"...And it's then that I've begun to realize that in constantly relying on Sonic, I became too dependent on him to help me out in a jam and it made me… inconsistent to put it lightly."
"So you're saying you want to become your own hero." Kotoko said.
"Yeah, that's right." Tails nodded. "Or at least… it's what I want. I'm not sure yet… I'm still thinking it over."
"Well, there are more than enough threats out there that anyone can make a name for themselves." Ruby chimed in.
"You know… what you're saying is kinda close to what I've heard Laura and the others wanting to strive for. Maybe you could join us." Oran offered.
"Hmm… I'll think about it." Tails said as he noticed everyone approaching. "Ah! Sonic! Everyone! You're here!"
"Sure am." Sonic nodded, then spotted a bunch of glitchy cards on the floor. "Um… what's with all the UNO cards?"
"Oran cheats at UNO." Ruby, Kotoko and Tails said in unison.
"Whaaaaaat? No, I don't!" Oran said innocently.
"You can't stack a plus two on a plus four card." Ruby argued.
"Yes, I can. It's in the rules."
"Then show us the rules!" Kotoko commanded.
"Like I said, I don't have the rules with me. Just the deck."
"Hmmm…" Futaba narrowed her eyes and started typing into her phone.
"And like I said earlier, that's really convenient, Oran." Ruby said. "It's stuff like this is why mom banned Monopoly."
"Wait, hold on… Rosie banned Monopoly?" Nagisa raised an eyebrow. "What for?"
Earlier…
"Hmhmhmhm~" Rosalina hummed as she dug through some storage in the Observatory. "Oh!" She pulled out a board game. "Classic Monopoly. I loved this game as a kid. Played it all the time with the Lumas." She giggled. "This ought to be fun with the family~!"
Fifteen minutes later…
Rosalina's eye twitched as Qrow, Raven and Dorothea were in the middle of an argument. Byleth was nursing a headache over said argument while drinking some wine while Ruby, Yang, Oran and Anya were hiding behind her.
"I'm telling ya, Raven. There is no way your hotels costs that many!"
"It certainly is, Qrow! Need I remind you that you went to jail twice because you rolled doubles six times."
"Why does the rules have to say I have to go to jail for rolling doubles thrice? That's good luck, dammit!"
"Okay, according to my calculator, Raven's right… you do owe all of that cash you've earned!" Dorothea said.
"Thank you!"
"I'm scared…" Anya whimpered.
"Well, you can take your hotels-"
Tai walked in. "Who wants pie!"
"-AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS!"
Qrow threw the board game out the window, shattering said window in the process.
Back in the present…
"Someone's a sore loser…" K1-B0 sweatdropped.
"Monopoly is the original friendship ender. Mario Party's got nothing on that." Masaru said.
"It's not my fault Uncle Qrow was a sore loser when he had to hand over all of his money."
"He threw the board out of the window!" Ruby said.
"And this is why me and the wife joined mom in the Observatory and got ourselves drunk that night..." Byleth mumbled.
"I really couldn't blame her for that."
"I wondered why she looked hung over..." Yang mused.
"Okay, so I checked…" Futaba spoke up. "The rules state that you can't stack a plus two on a plus four. Same goes with every other combination."
Oran grimaced, feeling the glares from Ruby, Kotoko and Tails. "Aaah… dang it."
Futaba put her phone away. "Alright, time to hack y'all out of there."
"Let me help!" Penny smiled as the duo proceeded to hack them out of there.
"Wait… Penny can hack? Did you corrupt her?!" Ruby glared at Futaba.
"What? No, I didn't! It was all Miu."
"Oh. Well, in that case, I'm giving her a smack!"

Seer let out a growl, dark energy conjuring in his horn… and when the Cyber Sphere was broken…
"Ab… SOOOOL!" He immediately used Night Slash on the data corruption, hoping to destroy it before it could reach Weiss and Sonic. Unfortunately, it was in vain as it both went inside the hedgehog and heiress.
"Uuungh…!" Weiss groaned, falling on her knees while Sonic could barely stand.
"Whoa, easy…!" Silver said, as he and Shadow kept him steady while Winter, Meryl and WB were right by Weiss's side.
"Dammit…" Futaba mumbled as Seer looked down in sadness. "Aw, cheer up, bud… you tried." She said, petting the Absol's head.
Ruby looked at herself. "Okay, I'm in digital limbo? Not exactly the worst thing that's happened to me." She turned to Weiss. "But enough about me! Weiss!" She immediately ran to her side. "Weiss, speak to me! How many fingers am I holding up?"
"Ugh… three…"
"No! Something's wrong with you! I have… one… two… three…? I swear I head four up. I guess you're okay…" Ruby rubbed her head. "But still, you're practically covered head to toe in data!"
"I'm fine… really…" Weiss coughed up a storm, coughing up electricity out of her mouth.
"Yeah no… no one spits up electricity like that. You're on borrowed time at this point." Mine said. "I could say the same for Sonic."
"Again, not the worst that's happened to me…" Sonic coughed.
"Sonic, you're almost-..." Tails frowned. "You may not come back from this."
Sonic chuckled. "You forget who you're talking to. I always bounce back!"
"At most cases, I would agree…" Knuckles folded his arms.
"We need to find out what's causing all of this… because what's happening to Weiss and Sonic, not to mention half of us are in cybernetic limbo, which, by the way, I'm surprised Oran's taking this well." Amy said.
"It's a bummer, yeah, but… if Ruby's calm about this, then there's nothing to panic over. Besides, it's not the worst thing to happen. Of course… I don't think I can hug my big siblings…" He said, trying to hug both Byleth, Dorothea and Gonta. "Aww…"
"Wait, we can't?" Ruby asked as she tried to do the same. "Oooooooh… crap!"
Byleth smiled. "Don't worry, I'm sure we can find a way to get you to hug us." She winked.
"Gonta will wait patiently to hug both!" Gonta smiled.
"You guys are taking this surprisingly well." Ratchet said. "I think I'd be freaking out if I was trapped in cyber limbo."
Ruby gasped. "Ratchet?! Is that you?!"
Ratchet grinned. "Hey Rubes."
"Hello, Ruby." Clank greeted
"Clank!" Ruby squeed as she immediately went to hug them, but faceplanted through the both of them. "Ooof! …Right… forgot about that."
"If it helps, I did the same thing to my sisters." Meryl said, helping her up.
Nearby, Sage watched on with a saddened expression. "Those two are almost fully corrupted yet they're pushing on. Their willpower is extraordinary… it's… it's not fair…"
Ruby went to hug Yang, both of them happily hugging before Ruby turned back to Weiss, narrowing her eyes. "Wait a minute, I just noticed you look really different. Why is your hair down?"
"Felt like changing my look." Weiss said once she was steady.
"I have to say, you do look rather cute in it."
Weiss blushed. "Thanks…"
"So! …What are we gonna do about this?" Kotoko wondered after hugging Mine.
"Find a way to get you back to normal." Futaba said. "That said, the Strauss family are looking for cures to get you all back up and running."
"How sweet of 'em." Kotoko smiled.
"Yeah." Futaba nodded. "For now, I guess we just have to look for the Chaos Emeralds and find these portals that'll have us break the Chaos Emeralds out of the vaults."
"What do you mean by "portals"?" GLaDOS wondered.
"Tower-like structures. They've got a ring-shaped hole on the top." Weiss said.
"I think I know what you might be referring to. Over here!" Cave took off as everyone followed where they wound find the first Portal on top of a hill.
"Ah, perfect!" Futaba smiled as she and Penny went right to hacking so everyone could go inside.
…However, as Futaba was busy hacking away, a warning popped up in front of her.
"Huh?" She wondered as she took a look at it. Her eyes widened at the warning and grimaced. "Hey… Sonic?"
"Yeah?"
"How toxic was the water at Chemical Plant?"
"Oh, it wasn't too bad… though I did get an uncomfortable rash on my arm for a few days." Sonic said. "Why?"
"Well… apparently one of these portals will take us to Chemical Plant. But the water is straight neurotoxin this time!"
"Neurotoxin?!" Sonic said. "Who in the right mind would use neuro-"
He paused as everyone, minus a confused Silver, Dipper, Ratchet and Clank turned to glare at GLaDOS.
"Oh…" GLaDOS sweatdropped. "I never thought that would come back to bite me…"
"She used neurotoxin? Why would she do that?" Silver asked.
"It's complicated." Blake responded and turned to the portal, seeing that Futaba activated it.
"Alright… I'm going in…" Weiss said as she walked forward but stumbled, coughing.
"Oh no, you don't. You're in no condition to going in there!" Ruby said as she turned around. "I'll do it. I'll let you guys know if this place has neurotoxin… and if it does-" She turned to Penny and SAPR. "I'm counting on you to giving me oxygen."
"Loud and clear!" Penny nodded as Ruby stepped in.
"Hang on, let me go with you." Byleth said as she and Dorothea joined her and they went in.
"N-No… w-wait…" Weiss groaned, wheezing from the corruption.
"I wonder…" Silver rubbed his chin as he put his hand on Weiss's shoulder, putting a telekinetic aura around her.
"What are you doing?" Dipper wondered.
"If I can pull that metal substance off of Pyrrha… I wonder if I could hold it back for Weiss."
Silver floated back, trying to pull the corruption out of Weiss but found it extremely hard to pull off. "Shadow, give me a hand here!" He said as Shadow grabbed his arm. "Alright, run as fast as you can."
With a nod, Shadow started to run with Silver in his hand, but they could only get a few feet as it snapped back into Weiss and knocked the hedgehogs to the ground.
"Mmmph!" Both grunted.
"You okay?" Sonic asked.
Silver sat up. "That could've gone better." He said as Shadow got up and dusted himself off.
"Looks like that's stuck on her."
"Maybe so…" Silver put another telekinetic barrier over Weiss. "But if I can just temporarily stop it…"
Meanwhile…
Ruby looked around, seeing that she was at Bianco Hills. "...Okay. I guess this is just recreated from my memories. Creepy."
She turned around, where right on cue, several Soldier Heartless appeared in front of her. "...What? Okay, I know for sure I didn't encounter these things at Delfino!" She said, readying Crescent Rose.
The Heartless lunged at her, but a ring of fire surrounded Ruby and destroyed the Heartless, then the ring of fire dissipated as Dorothea walked over.
"Hey Rubes!"
"Dorothea~!" Ruby smiled and instinctively hugged her. "...Wait… I'm actually hugging you now." She looked at her body. "Oh hey, I'm whole in this place! Weird… but I'll take it."
Dorothea giggled, returning the hug and planted a kiss on her forehead. "It's great to see you whole too."
"Yeah! …Where's Byleth?"
"I think we got separated. Come on, we'll go find her."
"Right!" Ruby nodded as they walked up the hill and then slid down the hill as they jumped over the river and landed near a building, where she spotted Byleth nearby. "Byleth!"
"Shhh!" Byleth put her finger to her lips and motioned her head as Ruby and Dorothea peeked their heads out.
"Target acquired."
"Whoa!" Ruby yelped as they moved back as bullets shot past them. "Turrets? I guess they're delving into GLaDOS's memories."
"They're all over the place." Byleth said. "I'm just glad none of them can move."
Dorothea peeked out again. "Yeah… about that…"
"Huh?" Byleth looked out, seeing some Heartless pushing them forward. "...You gotta be kidding me."
"Alright. I'll see what I can do." Ruby said, stretching her arms. "I've been meaning to stretch my legs anyway."
BGM: Cyber Space 3-1: Escape the Loop (Sonic Frontiers)
"Be careful." Byleth requested.
"Heh, don't worry…"
Electricity crackled over Ruby's body.
"This is gonna be fun!"
Ruby took a running start, zipping her way past and electrically cutting through the Heartless and Turrets, quickly changing Crescent Rose to its Crossbow form and firing silver arrows at the Air Soldiers.
She then ran off as Byleth and Dorothea went to catch up with her, both of them hopping on dash panels to quickly catch up with her as they all jumped off of a dash panel that launched them into the air as they went inside the cave of the mountain, where they walked out and found themselves at Yoshi's Island.
WIth a grin, Ruby used her semblance to get on top of some grind rails above her and grinded her way up as Byleth and Dorothea joined her. Piranha Plants lowered themselves from platforms to try and chomp down on Ruby, but she cut them down to size, and at that moment, Shroob UFOs appeared to try and shoot them down.
"Sorry about this!" Ruby unleashed lightning bolts on them to destroy them as Byleth fired an arrow at another and Dorothea used a Thoron on the other. The three of them launched off of the grind rails as Ruby looked down, seeing Goombas, Tinkerbats, Piranha Plants, Shadow Heartless and Egg Robos below her.
With a smirk, she used her semblance to crash down into the ground, creating a vortex to suck them all in and punched the ground with her rose arm, creating vines that pierced through all of them and electrocuted them to destroy them.
"Still got it!" Ruby smiled, aiming her rose arm at a tree branch and fired a vine, latching on to it as she swung over a river and launched high into the air, doing a few graceful flips and then pulled out her scythe, quickly slashing through some Beowolves, cutting them to ribbons before stopping as the Grimm disappeared.

Ruby's eyes widened, seeing a grave of her mother on the ground in front of her. She softly smiled and approached it, gently putting her hand on the ground and causing roses to pop up all over the grave.
"Love you." She smiled.
"You going to be okay?" Byleth approached.
"Yeah." Ruby nodded. "I know she's in a better place anyway." She said, hugging Byleth as her big sister returned the hug. "Love you, sis."
"Love you too, Rubes." Byleth smiled as the trio walked toward the portal and came out with a few vault keys.
BGM: Chaos Island - 1st Mvt (Sonic Frontiers)
"Well? How was it?" Blake asked.
"I felt like I was back to my old self!" Ruby smiled and then looked down, seeing she was back in limbo. "Uh… emphasis on "was"..."
"Join the club." Yang snarked.
Ruby glanced over at Weiss. "How is she?"
"Honestly? As much as I've tried to hold it back, it's got a firm grip on her." Silver scratched his head. "There's not much I can do… unless there's another angle I'm not seeing."
"It's… it's fine." Weiss took a deep breath. "Let's just… go get that Chaos Emerald."
"Yeah, but where exactly is it?" Ruby wondered.
"I have a pretty good idea." Sonic said, pointing toward the light in the distance.
"Oh! Well, let's head on over there!" Ruby said as they all walked toward the light, though Azure insisted for Weiss to ride on him, which she did and flew off with her.
However, Ruby backed up to be with Sonic. "How are you holding up?" She asked.
"Honestly? I'm faring well. Sure, this sucks but… eh, what can ya do?" He shrugged. "Besides, I'm sure we can get this out of me… it's Weiss I'm worried about. Girl's killing herself trying to hold herself together. I'm getting a bit worried."
"...What do you mean by that?"
"Ah, she hasn't told you about her baggage, has she?"
Ruby immediately looked worried. "...What is she hiding?"
Sonic stopped walking. "Yeah… you might want to go easy on her."
"Sonic, what are you talking about? You're kinda freaking me out here! What's going on with my bestie?"
With the others…
"This is the end of the road." GLaDOS said as they made it to the edge of the island. "The only way to get to that island is if you go the long way around."
"You sure there's no hidden platforms in the sea of clouds?" Nero took a peek.
"Maybe it's invisible." Nico said.
GLaDOS shook her head. "We tried. Cave went down there and felt nothing. The Vocaloids didn't find anything either."
"Nothing but emptiness… it's a bit much, honestly…" Luka said.
"So what's the long way around?" Jade asked.
"Finding a large rail system that connects to different islands. Yes. It's just as convoluted as it sounds."
Jade looked toward Futaba. "I know that look in your eyes. You're wanting to build something."
"Yeah, but the question is… what do I want to build? A bridge? A ski lift? Cannons that shoot us toward the different islands?"
"That last part sounds fun!" Masaru grinned.
"Yes, but you might accidentally crush your skull against the hard ground." Futaba pointed out.
"That's… less fun…" Masaru sweatdropped.
"Ah, screw it." Futaba activated her Maiden Powers and quickly created a bridge that connected toward the neighboring islands. She even added boost panels and grind rails. "There we go, now we can have fun~!"
"What, no dash rings for the Arwings?" Falco mentioned.
"Of course you'd suggest that." Futaba snickered as they made their way toward the island by either walking, using the dash panels to run across, or using grind rails to grind their way over, as some grind rails went up and under the bridge, where Falco found some dash rings as he flew threw them and did a few tricks in the air.
"Was that last minute?" Fox asked.
"Whatever gave you that idea?" Futaba smiled mischievously as they made it to the other side, right where the Chaos Emerald was.
"Nice use of the bridge there, four eyes." A voice said as Sonic approached with Ruby, the latter looking at Weiss with a mixture of concern and annoyance.
Why are you looking at me like that…? Weiss thought.
"Thanks." Futaba smiled as Ruby walked over with the vault keys, opening the vault and collected the Blue Chaos Emerald.

"Got it!" Ruby said… and then suddenly, a large Titan appeared before them all.
BGM: Star Crossed (Sonic Frontiers)
"Whoa! What the heck is that?!"
"A Titan!" Futaba said as the Knight landed on the ground.
At that moment, Sage appeared in front of them. "Well? What are you going to do?"
"Do what we do best." Sonic said as the Knight readied its sword and swung down… only for a large wall of ice to be conjured up and blocked the Knight's sword from advancing. The Knight curiously looked to see an ice dragon flying toward them, letting out a cry.
Winter's eyes widened. "Valka!"
Valka sent icicles toward Knight as the Titan blocked with the sword and slashed at the Elder Dragon, but Valka flew down and unleashed a blizzard to blind the Titan and then slammed into the Titan to make it back up, even if it was a few inches.
The Titan threw its shield at Valka, where spikes protruded out of it and tried to rip the Elder Dragon apart, but Valka flew around where it chased after him. Valka then flew back to Knight and got up to its face, unleashing a beam of ice in its "eyes" to blind it and then flew up at the last second where the shield slammed into the Knight, making it stumble back.
The Knight grabbed its shield as Valka let out a cry. The Titan proceed to retreat… for now.

"A loyal steed…" Sage whispered in awe as the Elder Dragon descended and gently landed on the ground in front of Winter, gently nuzzling against her.
"I was worried about you…" Winter said, giving him a hug as Valka then walked over, sniffing Weiss and let out a sad growl.
"I'll be fine…" Weiss reassured him.
"So… GLaDOS. You mentioned something about a sword earlier. Where is it?" Sonic mentioned.
"Ah! It's back on the main island. I'll show you." She said and walked off to guide them where they came close to a lava river, but they would see a sword embedded into the ground, along with a six foot hole that was carved around it. "Nefarious tried to pick it up, but he couldn't do it."
Sonic approached the sword. "I'll be darned…" He said with a soft chuckle. "Caliburn… is that you, bud?"
"That voice…" The sword opened his eyes. "Sir Sonic! It has been a while."
"...Guys. Did that sword just talk?" Amy asked.
"Oh good, I thought I was just hearing things." Knuckles said.
Futaba's eyes sparkled. "Oh my gosh… oh my gosh oh my gosh!" She said, immediately in fangirl mode.
"Yeah, it sure has. How'd you get out of your dimension?"
"It is rather odd. Here I was resting when a strange Star Rift opened up beneath me. I wound up here as a result."
"A strange Star Rift?" Shadow wondered as he, Futaba, Jade and Iris immediately thought of Elfilis.
"...You gotta be kidding me." All four said.
Sonic playfully smirked. "Welcome to the modern age, bud." He said, grabbing the hilt and pulling him out of the ground effortlessly.
"The "modern age"? I do not follow."
"The future."
"Ah."
Sonic turned to Amy. "See? I told you I didn't skip out on our date on purpose."
Amy blinked. "So… you mean to tell me that you getting sucked into an Arthurian dimension was true?"
"Yup!"
Amy folded her arms. "...I still don't believe you."
Sonic face faulted.
"Ouch…" Futaba whispered.
"Oh?" Caliburn noticed Amy. "Nimue, the lady of the lake? What brings you here?"
"Lady of the Lake?" Amy wondered as she blushed at the thought. "Oh, I like you already~" She giggled.
"That's Amy in this dimension." Sonic explained.
"Ah. Good to know." Caliburn then turned to Shadow and Silver. "My word! Sir Lancelot and Sir Galahad. This is a surprise!"
"GALAHAD?!" Silver yelled in surprise.
"Who?" Shadow merely raised an eyebrow.
"Shadow and Silver." Sonic corrected.
"Noted." Caliburn nodded and turned to Tails. "The blacksmith is here too?"
"I'm a what now?" Tails wondered before his eyes got starry. "A blacksmith, you say? My reputation precedes me~!"
"Let's not get a big head there, bud…" Sonic chuckled. "He's Tails in this universe."
"Understood." He then turned to Knuckles. "And Sir Gawain."
Knuckles smirked. "Was Gawain was strong and courageous like I am?"
"No, you were a bit dimwitted."
Knuckles' eye twitched. "Beg pardon?"
"He's tellin' the truth there, Knux." Sonic nodded.
"...Whoever wrote that fairy tale and made me an idiot…" He pounded his fists. "I just want to talk to him."
"And… I'm not sure who the rest of you are." Caliburn said.
One speedy introduction later…
"A pleasure to meet you all."
"Hmmm…" Sonic rubbed his chin and looked at Weiss. "Hey Weiss."
"Yeah?"
Sonic pointed Caliburn at Weiss. "You wanna duel?"
Weiss stood up, pulling out Eiskonigen. "I'd be honored."
"You're not in the best shape for this!" Blake said.
"I've been through worse…" Weiss told her, getting in a stance while Futaba quickly made an ice wall behind Sonic.
"There we go… no lava baths for anyone."
BGM: Knight of the Wind (Sonic and the Black Knight)
"Ready, Caliburn?"
"Ready!"
Weiss readied herself, taking a deep breath and exhaling deeply, then she opened her eyes.
Both of them lunged as they both slashed each other, as Sonic quickly parried her and then used Soul Surge, quickly pushing Weiss back and kicking her away.
"Whoa!" Ruby said in surprise, immediately getting giddy over the power of Caliburn as Yang, Oran, Blake and Meryl had to hold her back.
Weiss immediately created several glyphs as she quickly jumped over and lunged between them as Sonic shifted his eyes as he turned around and sliced through several icicles that shot toward him as Weiss launched herself and slashed him, knocking Sonic back a few feet.
Sonic launched himself toward Weiss as she quickly made a gravity glyph to block him, only he cut through the glyph as her eyes widened in surprise as she barely blocked in time and parried him, quickly hitting the ground as an inverse glacier knocked him up into the air.
Weiss jumped up on the glacier and then launched up, slashing down at Sonic and sent him toward the glacier, but Sonic quickly recovered and landed at the tip of the iceberg and then got in a stance, quickly slashing through Weiss as she was knocked to the ground.
The huntress got back up and used Kacrackle Slash on him, but Sonic jumped to the side and counter slashed as he then jumped up and vertically spin slashed at her, but she was able to parry him and then slashed him away.
He's a whole different beast with a sword… She thought, flashing back to when he used her own weapon back in space to take care of an enemy.
She smirked, stabbing the ground as she activated time dilation as she immediately launched herself through several glyphs, hitting Sonic a few times.
"What's this sudden burst of speed?" Caliburn wondered.
"Heh, nothing I can't handle!"
Sonic immediately launched himself, both of them turning into colors as everyone else saw blue and white blurs slamming into each other repeatedly, complete with sword clashes as they bounced back.
Weiss got in a stance as did Sonic, both of them launched themselves toward each other and slashed through each other, both of them at a stand still with their backs turned to each other.
…And then Weiss's aura broke as she fell on her knees, coughing.

"Whew. Still got it." Sonic said, strapping Caliburn to his back.
"Wow…" Amy said in awe.
"Wooooow!" Ruby's eyes sparkled in excitement.
"Easy there!" Yang said.
Knuckles whistled. "Never knew he was that good with a sword."
"Indeed." Tails agreed.
"Not bad, honestly." Shadow admitted with Silver nodding in agreement.
Sonic walked over to Weiss, extending his hand with a smile on his face. Weiss chuckled, taking his hand as he pulled her up.
Sage watched from afar, completely in awe. "Their wills are making them unstoppable… it's almost heartbreaking when the inevitable happens."
She scowled in sadness. "It's not fair…"
Ruby approached Weiss once she contained herself. "Hey, Weiss?"
"Yeah…?"
"We need to talk."
Weiss grimaced, realizing what she meant. "Oh boy…"
Meanwhile… somewhere on Chaos Island…
"This is… unusual…" R3-B7 said, staring at four Jack Frosts… but they were wearing RWBY's attire.
"Ruby Hose!"
"Weiss Sheee!"
"Blake Belladonho!"
"Yang Xiaho Long!"
"And we are Team HWeeBY!"
R3-B7 sweatdropped. "...I'm not sure how to feel about this."
