Episode 6B: Owl Cake Chaos

"It's almost ready..." said a very excited Amaya as she waited for her cake to finish baking. The school was doing a baking competition, and Amaya was determined to win. Connor was baking in front of her, while Greg was in the back of her. They had already finished their cakes along with the other students. Greg's cake was a 1-layer lime cake, and Connor's cake was a 1-layer peach cake.

Ding!

Amaya's cake was ready. Putting on mittens, she took her cake out of the oven. The cake had 2 layers, and it was pink with white highlights. The flavor was strawberry.

"Wow, Amaya," Greg commented, gawking at Amaya's creation. "That cake looks delicious!"

"Yeah," Connor added. "and it's 2 layers? That must mean you were hard at work!"

"Thanks, Greg," Amaya replied. "I did work hard on it. I call it my 2-Layer Owl Cake!"

Teacher walked over to Amaya's station.

"Wow, Amaya, that's some cake you got there," he complimented. He then gave Amaya a blue ribbon. "Looks like we have a 1st place winner!"

"Great job, Amaya!" said a voice. It was Jenny.

"Yeah, the cake looks absolutely appetizing," added another voice. It was Marie.

"Thanks guys!" Amaya smiled.

When it was time for recess, Amaya sat at a table, sitting her cake down in front of her. Connor and Greg joined her.

"You must be really proud of yourself, Amaya," Greg said.

"I am," Amaya replied. "This cake is the best. Hey! Maybe I can show this to the Power Heroes at Power Q. I'm sure they'd love to get a slice."

"Great idea!" Connor complimented. "PJ Masks, we're on our way..."

"Into the night, to save the day!" the PJ Kids announced.

That night, the Power Heroes gathered up as usual.

"Alright...tonight's missi-" Catboy began, but An Yu cut him off.

"Where is Owlette?" she asked.

"I'm glad you asked, An Yu," Catboy answered. Then he motioned towards Owlette, who was walking in, holding her 2-Layer Owl Cake.

"By the claws of Cleopatra!" Bastet yelped.

"You mean, 'By the cakes of Cleopatra'," Lynx corrected, and the two cat girls shared a laugh.

"Good one, Lynx," Bolt complimented.

Owlette chuckled. "Who wants a slice of my 2-Layer Owl Cake?"

A chorus of heroes saying "me" was heard. Eventually, everyone was given a slice of cake, and they ate all their slices up.

"Mew. My first time having cake...absolutely meow-nificent," Bastet mewed.

"For real," Lynx mewed in agreement, patting her stomach.

"Now that you guys have tried my cake, I'm going to see if any villains would like to sample some. Maybe they'll leave us alone tonight in return," Owlette stated. "To the Owl Glider!"

"PJ Masks, all shout hooray..." the Power Heroes began.

"Owlette, go save the day!" Owlette declared.

Pepper Paprika was outside the museum, mixing a cauldron of soup that she remade.

"Now, where is that owl girl? I need my revenge..." Pepper murmured. She looked up in the air and saw Owlette flying in her Owl Glider, with the cake on a seat behind her.

"Oooh, is that a cake that the owl girl baked?" Pepper thought out loud. "I have just the plan."

With that said, Pepper used her wooden spoon to fling a spoonful of soup in Owlette's direction, and the liquid caused the Owl Glider to break down.

"Huh? Ahhh! I'm falling!" yelped Owlette. Thinking quickly, she turned the Owl Glider towards the open grass area in front of the museum. The owl girl ended up crashing, but she somehow survived. When she saw Pepper smirking at her, she jumped out of the Owl Glider.

"Pepper Paprika?! You made me crash?" Owlette asked angrily, ignoring the smell of Pepper's delicious soup.

"Yeah. That was my revenge on you for spilling my soup the other night," Pepper hissed in reply. "I spent hours perfecting that soup, and you ruined everything."

"I would feel bad for you, but you hypnotized Catboy, remember?" Owlette asked, still angry.

"Yeah, I remember...and I don't feel bad."

"You ruined my glider! PJ Robot is gonna have to spend hours fixing it up now."

Pepper just laughed at Owlette, stirring her soup. "Good. Have your little repairman fix up your bird parachute."

"Owl Glider!"

"Don't care."

Owlette let out an angry growl...until she suddenly realized something. The 2-Layer Owl Cake! Owlette went over to her glider and saw the worst sight of her life.

Her cake was ruined. Its top and bottom layers both fell into the grass.

"NO! MY OWL CAKE!" Owlette yelped. She turned to Pepper furiously. "This...is...all YOUR FAULT!"

Pepper just smirked. "Not my problem. You ruined all my hard work, so I ruined all your hard work. Now we're even."

"Ugh, take this, Pepper! Super Owl Feathers!" Owlette flew into the air and shot her feathers at Pepper. The chef girl smirked and adjusted her cauldron, making the feathers fall in the soup. Owlette noticed that the soup suddenly turned red.

"Hmmm..." hummed Pepper as she used her wooden spoon to take a sample of the red soup. "Wow...tastes of chicken and marinara."

"Hey, don't eat my feathers! Fish them out and give them back to me!" Owlette squawked.

"No! You've provided me with a secret ingredient to add to my soup...owl marinara!" Pepper replied. "This is my masterpiece. Now get lost!"

Pepper used her spoon to fling another spoonful of soup at Owlette, but she dodged. She tasted a hint of Pepper's soup on her tongue. A drop had landed in her mouth. Her eyes shined orange, and she flew down to Pepper.

"More soup, please, Pepper Paprika," the owl girl pleaded.

"Wow," Pepper realized. "Why didn't I think of this before! Wrecking her glider was one thing, but hypnotizing her? How delightful! Here, Owlette. Take some more soup."

Pepper held another spoonful of soup out at Owlette, and she slurped it up.

Catboy and Gekko were walking and talking, and they noticed Pepper with Owlette.

"Pepper Paprika? What are you doing with Owlette...and why is her Owl Glider destroyed...and WHAT IN THE CAT'S MEOW HAPPENED TO HER CAKE?" Catboy wanted to know.

"Owlette kindly gave me some of her birdy feathers, and now my soup tastes like marinara sauce and chicken," Pepper fibbed. "She kinda crashed, but she's fine."

"Wow...it smells amazing...I wanna try some," Gekko begged, but Catboy shot him a glare.

"Gekko, that food is poisonous," he hissed.

"I know, but I can't help it..." Gekko said.

"I know...my food is the best..." Pepper giggled. "...isn't that right, Owlette?"

"Yes, Pepper..." Owlette replied in her trance.

"Oh, furballs...first me, now Owlette?" Catboy thought out loud.

"Owlette, if you want more soup, get kitty boy and lizard boy!" Pepper ordered Owlette. The owl girl obeyed and flew at Catboy, who dodged. The blue cat shot Super Cat Stripes at his attacker, and she was tied up in seconds. Pepper put down her spoon and went to help the bird girl.

"Gekko, I think I have a plan to stop Pepper," Catboy told Gekko.

"What is it?" Gekko inquired.

"Watch this. Yo, Pepper!" Catboy sneered.

"What, kitty boy?" Pepper asked, still trying to free Owlette.

"Check this out!" With that, Catboy shot a bunch of furballs into Pepper's soup. It immediately started smelling a bit rotten.

"Ew! Did you throw furballs into my soup!?" Pepper hissed, forgetting to fully free Owlette. She got up and ran to her cauldron.

"Nice move, Catboy!" Gekko said, giggling and closing his nose. "Watch this move."

Gekko went into Super Gekko Camouflage while Pepper was distracted, and he kicked down the cauldron, making the chef girl jump back.

"NO! NOT AGAIN!" she roared.

"Surprise, Pepper Porkchop," Gekko sneered, becoming visible again. This time, he said Pepper's last name wrong on purpose.

Pepper was forced to clean up her mess once again (this time, it didn't smell great). Gekko and Catboy freed Owlette once the bad smell of the furball soup knocked her out of her trance, and all three heroes walked back to Power Q.

"Thanks for saving me, guys," Owlette said thankfully. "But...my Owl Cake is gone now...and PJ Robot has to spend ages fixing my glider."

"You're welcome, Owlette, and sorry about your glider...and your cake," Gekko replied. Then he asked, "How about we help you make another cake one day?"

"I'd love that," Owlette answered. "PJ Masks Power Heroes, all shout hooray!"

"'Cause in the night, we saved the day!" At that, the PJ Masks made poses in the air.
