Hogwarts
"Ron, what's this?"
11-year-old Harry Potter held up his A3 present.
"Oh, that's from Ginny. See, you can make out a GMW here." said his best friend.
"GMW?"
"Ginerva Molly Weasley."
"Ah. It's quite real-looking."
"Only a free-timer though. Probably had to do this on short notice, what with the Romania trip and all."
"A what now?"
"A free-timer. She did this in all of the free time she had. She's gotten more time to do her work now, with us quite busy, and probably realised 'Oh snap Harry won't get presents' right before the Romania trip.' Her longer, full-timers are up on most of the walls of every family member."
"Wait, those pictures you have near your bed - are they her drawings?"
"Only a few. See, this one's a five-day full-timer." Ron pulled out a moving photo of a nine-year-old with red hair and freckles on a broomstick. "Mum charms some of them to move. Fun for parties.
Harry looked closer. He started to see some pencil strokes on the photo. "She's really good."
Ron grinned proudly. "I know."
Harry suddenly realised there was one last present left. He picked it up. It was rather light. He unwrapped it.
Something fluid and grey went slithering to the floor, laying in gleaming folds.
A/N - I know this is shorter than the other prologue, but it's sort of a side event in the main story of The Philosopher's Stone. The drawing will get more word time later.
