My Little Girl Ch 4
The team had worked hard and a couple of hours later they were heading to Penelope and Jasmines new home, when they pulled up Penelope smiled and said, "wowwww, this place is beautiful and wait, wat, it's ours, it's mine and Jasmines?", Derek put his hand over hers and said, "yes mam it is". He turned the engine off and grabbed the keys as they both got out of the truck and started making their way toward the front porch with the others.
Derek was carrying the car seat holding the sleeping newborn, he was very careful as he placed her down in the living room, Fran swooped in and said, "you can start carrying the stuff in, I'll stay with the princess", Derek said, "thanks ma", Fran said, "don't thank me, this is my granddaughter". Derek said, "maaaaa, shhhh with that, I haven't talked to baby girl yet, she doesn't know how I feel so pleaseeeeeeee don't say stuff like that where she might hear you".
Penelope walked over to them and said, "who hear what?", Derek said, "oh nothing", Fran said "I told my pigheaded son to go ahead and start carrying the stuff in and that I would stay with the baby", Penelope said, "thank you so much Fran". She then put her hand on Derek's arm and said, "why don't we get her portable crib set up in one of the bedrooms so that she won't be down here with all of this noise?", Derek nodded his head and said, "as you wish baby girl, as you wish".
As Fran stood watching her son and the woman she hoped would soon be her daughter-in-law walk away she looked down at the little girl and said "don't worry Jazz, nana Fran is on the case and I won't let your mommy and daddy miss this chance", she gently caressed the little girls cheek and said, "I promise, I promise". It was only a matter of a few minutes before Derek had the portable crib put in one of the huge bedrooms, Penelope smiled as she watched Derek gently lay Jazzy down", standing there watching him she had no doubt that he would make an amazing daddy.
She sighed and then turned the baby monitors on, placed one on the bedside table and carried the other one downstairs with her, she wanted to be able to hear her daughter, she stopped and said, "my daughter", Sarah said, "huh, what did you say Penelope?" as she placed a box down on the floor. Penelope said, "she's my daughter, that sleeping angel upstairs is my, she's my little girl", Sarah grinned and said, "and a beautiful little girl she is", Penelope smiled and said, "thnank you", the two women then walked off laughing and talking as they started putting the stuff in the boxes away.
When they were through for the day, Fran said, "how about we celebrate the first night of you and Jasmine living here by having pizza?", Penelope said, "pizza sounds great to me", she looked around at the others and said, "what do you guys think, is pizza okay with you?", she quickly received a series of, "yessssssss". Fran said, "alright, alright, I'll get them ordered", everybody laughed and nodded their heads yes as they watched Fran walk out of the room pulling her cell from her pocket.
Derek walked over to Penelope and said, "so do you really like it?", she said, "ohhhhh I love it, it's amazing", she stood there looking around the living room at everything and it was breathtakingly beautiful, you could tell he took great pleasure in fixing up the house. She sighed and said ,"you are an amazing man Derek Michael Morgan and one day you are going to make some girl a lucky woman", he said, "make her lucky how sweetness?", she blushed and said, "by marrying her and making little mini chocolate Thor's like yourself of course".
Derek said, "about that" and he was stopped by the sound of crying coming through the baby monitor, she said, "sorry, hotstuff, to be continued" as she headed toward the stairs, Derek stood there watching her as she walked away, she was so beautiful, confident, sexy and ohhhh how he wanted her to be his. Reid walked over to Derek and said, "ya know she would make you a good wife if only you'd tell her how you really feel".
Reid looked at Derek as he said, "I was working on it pretty boy but the baby woke up crying", Reid said, "soooooooo why don't you go upstairs to where Penelope and Jasmine are?", Derek said, "well I", Reid grinned and said, "are you, waitttttt, is the Derek Morgan nervous?", Derek said, "ohhhhh yes, yes he is".. Derek looked at Reid and said, "I've never felt this way before Reid, not ever, she's the woman that I feel I'm destined to spend the rest of my life with, she's the woman I want to marry and have children with, it's her, it's always been her".
Derek looked as he felt a hand on his shoulder and said, "well there is no better time than the present to go tell her how you feel", Derek said, "but the baby?", Reid said, "that little angel sleeping upstairs or well she's awake now but that little girl will be your step daughter, she will be your little girl if the two of you get together". Reid stood watching as it finally sank into Derek's head that he needed to tell her that he was in love with her and he needed to do it now, Derek then took the stairs two at a time and as he disappeared out of sight Reid laughed and said, "well it's about time" before walking over to rejoin the others while they waited on the food to arrive.
