Monty scrambled around his room in a hurry while carrying several broken lamps. Consarnit! Where am I gonna hide these? He thought to himself in a panic. Sunny was coming over to hang out at Monty's room this time, and he was last minute cleaning his super messy room. He knew Sunny was a bit of a neat freak and didn't want him looking disappointed as he saw how Monty lived; and since Monty never allowed the janitors to come into his room, he had to be the one to clean it.
Monty had already covered up all the punched out holes and scratches in the walls. Organized his Monty plushies in the corner. Alphabetized his record collection. Dusted his guitar and amplifiers. Covered the claw marks in the couch with pillows. Straightened the neon signs and posters in his room. Watered the dying cattails and fronds in his room. Threw out the trash, and vacuumed the carpet floor.
Now all he had to do was figure out where to hide these broken lamps! Suddenly there was a knock on his door. Monty jumped. "I er...C-coming!" he called out. He turned to the couch, lifted one side of it with one hand, then shoved the lamps underneath. The sound of crunching glass was heard when he placed the couch back down and jumped on top of it to hide the lumps. He would deal with that later.
Monty got up off the couch, opened his cavity chest, patted the Sunny plush for luck, then walked over to his door. He opened the door with a flourish and leaned against the threshold casually. "Hey there. How you doing?" he asked coolly, lowering his sunglasses down his green snout. Out from the shadows came Freddy.
"Hi, Monty! You seem to be in a cheerful mood tonight!" Freddy said smiling. Monty straightened up, his servers burning. "F-Freddy?! What in pizza's name are you doing here?!" he asked in surprise and annoyance, peering over the bear's shoulders to see if Sunny was behind him. Freddy looked over his own shoulder before turning back to the gator.
"You looking for someone? I'm right here-" he started, but Monty interrupted him, pushing Freddy with both his hands, then suddenly realizing that Freddy was a lot heavier than he looked. "I don't have time for you, bear! I have an important engagement with someone," he said, his Southern accent slipping. Freddy blinked his bright sky blue eyes.
"Oh? Who is it?" he asked as he obliviously watched Monty try to push him away, not budging an inch.
"Nonya," Monty answered, still trying to push Freddy away. Freddy gave him a puzzled look, oblivious to what Monty was trying to do.
"Nonya? I do not know anyone by the name of Nony-"
"Nonya business," Monty interrupted, pushing harder, but no matter how strong he was, the darn bear would not move, and did not get the hint. Freddy gave Monty a blank look. "Nonya Business. They sound like a very nice person." Monty stopped pushing the bear and sighed, pinching his snout between his eyes.
"It's really...none of your business, Fazbear. Now could you please leave?" he asked. Freddy lifted his finger up. "Oh! But I need to inform you of the-" Monty slammed the door into Freddy's face. He did not have time to listen to him. Sunny was going to be here any second and he didn't want to waste any time with Mr. Hotshot Who's Name Is On Practically Everything In The Pizzeria.
Monty heard a knock on his door. He opened the door again and found Freddy still standing there with the same innocent smile on his face. "-about the te-" slam! Monty began walking away from the door when he heard yet another knock on the door. He growled, balling his claws into fists and storming back to the door.
"I swear, Fazbear! If you are at my door again, I will turn you into metal souvenir Mr. Hippo keychains!" He snapped as he threw open the door, the hinges screaming in the process.
Sunny appeared instead of Freddy at the door, smiling nervously and giving the gator a wave. "Hi, Monty. What's this about keychains?" He asked. Monty froze where he stood, completely caught off guard. "I-erm...S-Sunny! I didn't mean...you...Freddy!" He stuttered nervously. Sunny chuckled as he held his sunbrella over his sharp sun rays. Monty was able to make him a new sunbrella after their first "totally not a date" night. Monty closed his snout and moved aside, gesturing for Sunny to come in. Sunny walked into the room.
"Wow! Your room is so bright!" Sunny said as he gazed around the room, lowering his sunbrella. Monty had made sure to adjust the brightness in the room. The gator squinted while he smiled at the sun animatronic. Thankfully his sunglasses helped a little against the blinding light. "Yes...it really is...I-I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable in here..." he said. Sunny giggled and twirled around the room. "I always feel comfortable around you, Monty!" He told him, causing Monty to heat up. "Aww...shucks," he muttered, then cleared his throat and sat down on the couch.
"So, what would you like to do? I have a few video games we could play, or we could watch a show. I hear there's a marathon of The Immortal and The Restless happening tonight," he said. Sunny didn't seem to hear him as he continued looking around the room. His pearl white eyes lingered over the pile of Monty plushies, then over to the plants in the room. Eventually, his eyes landed on something and lit up.
"Oh my stars! Is that your guitar?!" Sunny asked excitedly as he pointed to his yellow and black electric guitar on its stand in the corner. Monty turned his head to look over at his guitar before turning back to Sunny. He smirked and nodded his head. "Yup. That's my guitar." He reached over with his right arm over the couch, grabbing its neck and swinging it over to his lap. He got to his feet, strummed the guitar, and began to play the part in one of the songs he sang every day for the kids. His solo:
"Come on, kids! Let's jam tonight
Dance in the birthday candle's light
You are one year older since midnight
Let's celebrate to our heart's delight!"
Sunny clapped his hands excitedly. "Oh! that's my favorite part in that song!" Sunny said, smiling with all his teeth. Monty grinned and took a bow. "Thank you. I wrote that part myself. It sounds better when we are all on the stage...Maybe you should come by one time and watch me...and the other Glamrocks perform," he said. Sunny hesitated and fumbled with his fingers.
"I...I'd love to...but the kids...I need...I need to watch them...I can't just up and leave them. They would be so upset ifIsuddenlyjustleftthemandtheparentswouldlosetheirmindsifnoonewaswatchingthekidsandIwouldgetintroublewiththemanag-" he started rambling his words super fast, but Monty quickly got up and placed his hands on his shoulders.
"Sunny! Sunny...calm down. I was saying maybe if there's no kids that need to be babysat..." he said. Sunny looked up at Monty, then nodded his head. "Yes..." he smiled a small smile. "Yes, I would love that...I have...I have never seen you guys perform before..." he said. Monty smirked. "I can have that arranged. Front row."
Sunny's body seemed to relax as he gazed up at the broad chested gator. He placed his hand on top of Monty's, smiling warmly. "I'd love that," he said in a calm voice.
Monty stared down at Sunny. He was so adorable. He loved when Sunny smiled up at him. It warmed his cold metal gears. He smiled back, flashing his sharp teeth. Sunny never seemed bothered by his sharp teeth, which made him feel better about his appearance. Sunny turned his focus to the guitar and gently ran his long fingers across it.
"How do you play it?" he asked. Monty snapped out of his reverie and checked behind him before sitting back down on the couch. "You want me to teach you?" he asked. Sunny sat down next to him and nodded. "Yeah! I've never played an instrument before...unless you count air guitar or air drums," he said as he began to play a mean air guitar. Monty laughed, his shoulders going up and down. Shucks, he's sweeter than apple pie, Monty thought to himself.
"I guess that's a start. I would love to show you," he said, embarrassed that he used the word 'love' around Sunny, hoping he didn't try to figure out how Monty was feeling. Sunny scooted closer to Monty. Monty tried not to overheat when he began to explain how to hold the guitar.
"Like this?" asked Sunny as he held the guitar awkwardly in his thin arms. Monty carefully reached his left arm around Sunny's shoulders. He placed his purple gloved hands over Sunny's thin bony ones. "You hold it like this... and then you put your fingers over here...and..." he said as he helped Sunny adjust. Monty felt Sunny's back brush up against his chest. His arms caress Sunny's thin arms.
"There...and then you strum it with this hand," he said. Sunny strummed the guitar once. He beamed happily. "This is so cool! I never thought I'd be learning how to play the guitar," he said before turning to look up at Monty. Monty smiled down at Sunny. "I could teach you every day if you want," he said. Sunny leaned closer to Monty. His back pressing up against Monty's. Monty got several flashing red triangles across his vision, warning him that he was overheating, but he ignored them. Sunny turned around till both of their chests were touching.
"I'd love that..." Sunny said in a whisper, placing on of his hands on top of Monty's large chest.
Monty noticed how close Sunny suddenly was to him. He felt this sudden magnetic pull towards Sunny. He wanted to lean in closer to the Daycare Assistant...He wanted to...he wanted to kiss Sunny...not as a dare. Sunny's pearl eyes closed. Monty felt his eyes get heavy too. His hands left Sunny's and slowly made their way along his skinny arms. He cupped Sunny's face with his hands.
"Sunny..." he whispered as their lips got inches from each others...
"Pardon my intrusion -" Freddy said, causing Monty to pull away from Sunny at lightning speed, shriek, and fall off the couch. "Freddy?! What did I tell you?!" He shouted over the armrest of the couch, getting up where he fell. Monty's face was crimson red and was at 110 degrees if you touched it. Warning signs flashed across his vision that he was going to go into automatic shut down mode in ten seconds if he didn't cool down before then. Freddy straightened up from where he stood.
"You said you were going to have an engagement with a person named Nonya Business. I came back to see if they had left. I must have missed them when I came back over here because I only see Sunny in your room. Hi Sunny! How are you and Moon doing?" Freddy asked, waving to the Daycare Assistant. Sunny smiled and waved back politely.
"We are doing great! Better even! Monty invited me over here to show me his room. He was showing me the guitar," he said, lifting up Monty's guitar to show Freddy. Monty had his face in his hands the entire time they were talking.
Freddy smiled and nodded his head. "That is very nice! It's nice to see Monty opening up and being social. I have noticed him hanging over at the Daycare a lot recently -" he started saying, but Monty cut him off.
"OK. What are you doing here, Freddy? I know you are too nice to come over here to pester us. You have to have a reason why you came into my room," Monty snapped impatiently, also wanting to change the subject.
Freddy thought for a second, and then his face lit up. "Oh! Yes! I needed to tell you that the Tenth Anniversary of the Pizza plex is coming up! And I was hoping that whenever you were available, that you can join me and the girls to come up with a new song for the day!" he said, smiling. Sunny clapped his hands excitedly.
"A new song! Oh, how exciting! I can't wait to hear it! I love hearing you guys play! I'm always in the Daycare but the music travels just enough where I can hear you guys. Especially Monty, his voice is the loudest out of all of you. He loves belting out that one song during the Birthday Bash Bonanza song! He sang his solo me just a few minutes ago!" he rambled so much, Monty felt steam coming off of his circuits. Monty quickly interrupted Sunny and faced Freddy.
"Couldn't you have told me during the day or something?" Monty snarled angrily. Freddy, oblivious to Monty's irritated tone, shook his head. "Well, I was planning on telling you when the Pizzeria closed, but you ran off the Main Stage to your room so fast, I couldn't stop you in time."
Monty sighed and placed his hand over his eyes.
"I'll talk to you about it tomorrow, Freddy," he said. Sunny got up and picked up his sunbrella. "Actually, I need to head back to the Daycare. I promised Moon that he would be able to stretch his legs and roam around the Pizzeria at one 'til the Mall opened," he said.
Monty looked over at his Monty Gator themed clock. Sure enough, it was already one o' clock. Time passed by so fast for some reason. Monty sighed and nodded his head, his long red hair falling over one eye. "Alright. I'll walk you to the door," he said, crestfallen that he wouldn't be able to hang out with Sunny for the rest of the night.
Sunny turned around and gave Monty a hug. "I'll see you tomorrow, Monty! Thank you for inviting me over to your room," he said. Monty hugged Sunny back, not wanting to let go. "See ya, aroun,' Astro Clown," he said. Sunny pulled away, waving goodbye, and walked out the door. Freddy walked right after Sunny. The bear slowed to a stop and turned around. Monty noticed Freddy staring at him. He narrowed his eyes and slammed the door in the bear's face.
Location: Main Stage of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria
Time: 4:05am
...
All the Glamrocks met on the Main Stage two hours before the Mall opened. Monty played a few sad, low notes on his guitar on a folding chair while Freddy talked about coming up with a new song for the Ten Year Anniversary.
It was officially called: Freddy Fazbear's Ten Year Anniversary...also known as: Happy Ten Years of Being Open and Not Going Bankrupt or Sued by an Angry Parent or Losing in Court, by Management; but it wouldn't have fit well or looked good on the banner so they went with "Ten Year Faziversary" on it. That was the banner that was behind Freddy's head as he asked for any ideas from his friends. They had one week to come up with a new song for the huge party.
"Monty? Do you have any ideas?" he asked. Monty silently shook his head and continued strumming his sad song. His tail swishing lazily behind him. Chica quickly raised her hand and waved it around as if she were in school. "Oh! Oh! How about something to do with pizza?" she asked excitedly. Roxanne rolled her eyes, her arms crossed over her chest. "Is there ever a time you aren't thinking of pizza?" she asked, flipping her hair from her eyes. Freddy raised a hand up. "Now now, Roxy. All ideas are good ideas. I shall add pizza to the list-" he said.
"Pepperoni! and Cheese! and Hawaiian Ham!" Chica added, clapping her hands and jumping up and down excitedly. Roxanne sighed, facepalming. The three continued to talk and come up with ideas while Monty thought of Sunny. He thought back to when Sunny was close to him. How he felt in his arms...
Soon, it was almost time for the Mall to open. The girls walked back to their rooms to get ready for the first performance. Freddy turned his blue eyes over to Monty as the large gator got up and closed the metal folding chair in the process.
"Monty...may I have a word with you, please?" he asked. Monty sighed and leaned the folding chair against one of the large speakers on the Main Stage. He turned to face Freddy, holding his guitar in his right hand. "What?" he asked, in an irritated but also melancholy voice.
"I noticed that you were not acting like your usual self today," he said. Monty fought the urge to roll his eyes. "Yeah? What gave you that idea?" he asked sarcastically, knowing full well that Freddy would not catch the sarcasm. Freddy pointed at Monty's guitar. "You were playing sad music on your guitar...and you were not putting in your two cents to help write the song," he added. Monty shrugged, looking to the side, and down on the floor. His red death hawk hid the side of his face.
"Yeah well...I didn't really feel like it today..." he answered truthfully. Freddy gave Monty a sympathetic look. "Is it because of Sunny?" he asked, causing Monty to flinch. Monty hoped that Freddy didn't see his reaction, but he did. "You don't need to feel embarrassed. You have been spending a lot of time with him...and I'm very happy for both of you. I used to have feelings for someone very important to me...and then he..." Freddy lowered his head, causing Monty to feel a sharp pain in his gears.
Freddy lifted his head up, as if he was resurfacing up from a dark place and gave Monty a sad smile. "You should tell him how you feel," he said. Monty felt his servers heat up. "I...I want to...but..." he felt his tongue suddenly felt heavy. He was so nervous to tell Freddy about his feelings for Sunny. He never liked Freddy, and here Freddy was being super supportive and open with him. Freddy placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Take my advice...From someone who never got to tell their crush that they loved him...and would do anything to have him back again..." he said. Monty felt another harsh pain within his body, causing him to lurch forward and grab his stomach. Freddy pulled his hand away. "Are you ok?" he asked. Monty nodded his head. "Yeah...Yeah...I'm fine," he lied, before straightening back up. Freddy sighed and turned his head towards the direction of Bonnie Bowl before turning back to Monty.
"No feeling will come across more if you put them into words...tell him how you feel...You might regret never telling him," Freddy said before walking off the main stage and heading back to his room to get ready for the day. Monty watched Freddy walk away, his words repeating in his head. Then, he looked down at his electric guitar...
