We Are One!
Yes ladies and gentlemen it is indeed the very last chapter of the story. I gotta say, I don't normally write musicals but I rather did enjoy myself writing this musical story. One again I want to thank my good friends Tomada The Falcon, Lilamacaw and Sorrelwing for allowing me to borrow their OC's! So without any further delays…let's get to the final chapter of the story shall we?
Moments had passed by since the group had to leave the mall in their separate directions, to then meet back at the same location for a mini get together in the pool house. To celebrate their new found relationships in such a small period of time.
RDJ, Lila, Zeek and Georgia had decided to go to a liquor store to buy some alcoholic beverages and snacks to bring to the get together. Whilst Ryan and Josh politely declined and decided that they were going to lay low for a few months until the heat dies down.
Tomada and Sorrel however had agreed that they were going to go back to the house to check on Roger. Who may be asleep or buzzed out somewhere.
The two of them intended to rush home with full urgency, deciding to jump in an Uber that they managed to get within a couple of minutes.
Both of their hearts were pounding with fear and worry for the well being of the elderly hyacinth macaw man. Who had not only been betrayed by the woman he intended to marry possibly in the future. But he was also unaware that the pills were slipped into his coffee.
There was a huge sense of worry that the old man may have been incapacitated by the sleeping pills, that were pretty strong had been slipped into his cup of coffee by Eleanor.
There was a very strong possibility that they may get through the front door and find him in a very drugged out state, or even worse than that…dead.
"Can't you drive any faster?!" Sorrel panicked whilst the driver turned to his right and shook his head.
"Listen princess! I ain't got time for your little requests! I am going the speed limit, or you can get out my Prius!" A very annoyed red belied macaw man angrily responded.
"Now you listen here buddy…"
"Honey listen…We can't stress about this now okay? The calmer we react around the driver, the easier the journey will be okay?" Tomada remained calm about the situation for Sorrel's sake. As he needed to be her emotional safety blanket right now. Especially due to the fear and anxiety that has washed over her.
"You're right…I'm sorry for yelling at you." She apologised to the Uber driver. Who only nodded his head back and smiled.
"Don't worry about it. Besides, we are about two minutes away so…almost there." He smiled warmly whilst they had turned into their private road that lead to the house.
Despite them being ever so closer to getting inside the front gates, the sheer size of their freaked out faces made them so glum and silent. As the emotions loomed over their heads when pulling up close to the frond driveway.
"Here's fine! Thank you!" Sorrel instantly requested that the driver parks the car where they were.
The journey back home was filled with apprehension to say the least, as Tomada and Sorrel tried not to think about the worst case scenario.
The very thought of Sorrel's stepfather being in a drugged out state or limp state due to Eleanor's actions shook her to her core.
They couldn't shake it off, especially the dread they felt when they agreed to go to the theatre to have a look at the building that had been knocked down. Instead of being home where they could have prevented such a thing from happening in the first place.
Then again…how were they to know the kind of sick and twisted thoughts she had going on in her mind.
"Thanks! Have a good one!" Sorrel and Tomada bolted out of the Uber, but forgot to shut the doors after them. Due to the tremendous anxiety Sorrel had. Which may have upset the Uber driver himself. But then again, under the circumstances. He didn't argue, and shut the doors himself calmly before driving away.
"Wait! Sorrel!" Tomada chased his new girlfriend down, whilst she picked up the pace to sprint over to the front door.
Every passing second felt like an eternity, as they raced against time to uncover the truth about her stepdad.
"Tomada! Break the door down!" The blue spix's girl macaw ordered her boyfriend, who gave her a weird look.
"I would but…" He was about to respond calmly, but she had no time to argue with this.
"Right…The security alarm! Let's try the back d…"
"Miss Sorrel! Please come quick! I found him in the pool on a rubber inflatable! I managed to get him out before he drowned!" Suddenly, the butler had answered the door after hearing the car pull up sharply outside the house. "Get in here quick!"
After reaching their final destination, they had wasted no time at all to get in the house and discover wether Roger was okay or not.
"Where is he now?!" Tomada urged him as he grabbed him by the shoulders urgently.
"He's in the conservatory! Do I call an ambulance?"
"No! We have a doctor coming here already! She can examine him when she arrives!" Sorrel pointed out that their new friend Georgia was in fact a doctor. So they were lucky enough where they didn't need the added stress to wait an hour or so for an ambulance.
As they ran past him to get to the observatory, Sorrel felt the anxiety building up more and more as they approached the door.
The door to the observatory seemed to loom ominously in front of them, and she looked at her boyfriend with a lot of worry and fear in her eyes.
As he took hold of her hand and brushed his fingertips up against hers soothingly in a comforting manner, the two of them shared a brief silence of solidarity before deciding to enter.
"Are you ready for this?" He asked her calmly, rubbing her back in comfort.
The uncertainty of what awaited them inside really got to her. To the point where her nerves were getting the better of her. And for some weird reason, she couldn't bring herself to open the door to find whatever awaited them on the other side.
"Hey…You are not alone here sweetie. Whatever we have to face, whatever reality lay beyond that threshold. You have me here to help you feel protected and safe, okay?" He spoke with so much warmth and ease. That she immediately felt less tense and more relaxed to enter the unknown with ease.
With bated breath, they pushed the door open and stepped into the unknown. Ready to confront whatever awaited them.
But as they did so, they couldn't believe their eyes when they saw Roger sat on the couch reading a newspaper like it was just a normal day for him.
"Roger?" Both of them asked rhetorically in confusion, as he lowered the paper and smiled at the two of them.
"Oh you're back? I was worried that I may have had to send a search party." He appeared to be in perfect health and was very relaxed at the minute. Confusing the hell out of Sorrel and Tomada.
"But you…But she…But how?" Sorrel stuttered in shock.
"Yes…I just got a call from Lila and she told me everyth…Sir? You're awake?!" The butler cocked his head in confusion.
"Why is everyone so jumpy today? Who died?"
"We thought you did!" All three of them responded simultaneously.
"Are you guys smoking cannabis? I'm sitting right here?" Roger stood up and stumbled a little as he felt a bit light headed. "I came home with Candy. She got into her nightie and took some night quill. Then I sat on my inflatable chair and decided to float in the pool. But then for some reason I woke up here three hours later? Which is kinda weird if you think about it?"
"Ummm…Roger…About Candy…" To Ada stated nervously, scratching the back of hir head. "There's something you umm…ought to know?"
"She was very jumpy too when we came back here. Like she wanted to quickly leave the room or something? Where is she? I'd like to talk to her…"
"Ahhh…Ummmm…You see sir…Candy…ummm…" Tomada was doing his best to come right out and just say it to him. But was struggling to find the right words to say without upsetting the poor man.
"What? Just tell me son?" Roger smiled whilst he sat down on the couch again.
"Okay…Candy…"
"Candy decided to leave…" All of a sudden, RDJ, Lila, Zeek and Georgia all entered the room with bags of alcohol that they were going to bring to the pool house.
"Sorry? What did you just tell me?" The hyacinth macaw man's heart dropped in a deep sad way.
"I'm sorry Roger…But Candy told us that she had to leave due to family reasons back home. It was never going to be an easy decision for her but…She did tell us to tell you that no matter what…she will always love you…" The blue and gold macaw man lied to him to prevent him from getting too disheartened about the fact that she had been playing him like a fiddle this whole time. Which certainly fooled him by the way he had reacted.
"Oh…I-I see…" He lowered his head in a heartbroken manner, laying his head up against the back cushion of the couch. "Was she…Was she happy to leave?"
"Oh no! She was totally upset…But she didn't want to be the one to tell you face to face. Because she would be too scared to do so, in case she would start balling her eyes out." Lila also joined in, whilst she sat down on the couch next to him. "I'm sorry daddy…"
For a moment there…the older hyacinth man instantly felt like he had switched from being heartbroken and embarrassed about himself. To being very proud and exhilarated of the fact that his own step daughter had just called him dad for the first time. Just as Sorrel had done when they were back at the mall.
"Haaaaa…I know that this must not have been an easy message for you guys to give me but…I'm just really glad that you have called me dad." He remarked to both of his blue macaw step daughters. Who have both pulled him up from the couch and hugged him.
"And we are proud to call you our dad…dad!" Both of them simultaneously spoke, before departing from the hug.
"So…who are your friends?"
"Hi sir. My name is Zeek! And this is my girlfriend Georgia." The yellow macaw man introduced himself whilst shaking hands with him.
"Hold on a minute…You were the security guard at the mall?" Roger chuckled after recognising him without wearing the uniform.
"Yes but…I got fired today after the whole incident where a lantern knocked me unconscious."
"That's too bad. Well…if you want a job? I have been looking for a tech expert to help me with my business? Wouldn't you agree…RDJ…" Roger instantly narrowed his eyes toward the blue and gold macaw. Who widened his eyes in surprise.
"What the…How did you…Who told you…When…" He began to stutter nervously, as he couldn't believe that he knew his name this whole entire time without saying anything. "How did you know my real name?"
"Oh please! I'm old, but I'm not stupid. I recognised you the first day we met…"
"But if you knew who we were then…why didn't you throw us out or call the cops on us?" Tomada asked him about why they weren't reported to the police after they just tried to hustle their family.
"Oh Tomada…I just wanted to show you boys what a real family is like! It appears that not only have you learned to stand up for one another but…" He noticed the way that Lila and Sorrel were standing so close to them being all lovey dovey. A feeling in which he adores seeing his girls so happy. "You also learned to fall in love! That is why I didn't say anything…"
"Wow…So it appears that us leaving Mauro is a better life for us!" The falcon man pointed out, as he felt Sorrel's foot slowly rub up against his. Making him shiver excitedly.
"You're telling me!" RDJ agreed as Lila was pressing her large breasts up against his shoulder. "You know…I feel like for the first time in my life…I finally feel happy with my life."
"Really?" Lila beamed with a twinkle in her eyes.
"Really…And with all of us standing here together…I feel like…I feel like…"
"We are one?" Tomada finished his sentence with a bright grin on his face.
"Yeah…We are one…"

RDJ took hold of Lila's hand and had escorted her outside, followed by Tonada and Sorrel, Zeek and Georgia, whilst Roger and his butler watched them with smiles on their faces.
RDJ: I've followed me dreams as long as I remember,
No matter the pain, No matter the rain-fall,
Girls: Oh-Oooh-Oooohhh…
Lila: The road has been so long. So uncertain,
Tomada: Looking back at what we've done,
Sorrel: Chasing devils on the run,
Zeek And Georgia: It's a kind of emotion, second to none,
Georgia: Reaching for the sun!
Soon they all began dancing in a hypo hop fashion around the back yard in their respective couples.

All this time! All the tears!
All the prayers, all these years!
We've waited on this feeling!
Soon they all got into a line and began pumping their fists up in the air simultaneously and jumped up and down in perfect timing.
All: Together! Together!
RDJ: We're coming undone!
RDJ And Lila: Baby we are one! Oooh-Ooooh-Ooooh!
They began to move on over to the sun beds, swinging over them from left to right as they kicked their feet and legs up in the air.
Georgia: Life can be so hard, when you feel lonely!
Yah!

Zeek: You can change it all, if you believe it!

They all got back up in that same straight line formation, pumping their fists up in the air in perfect rhythm. Jumping in the air again and swaying along with their couples.

Tomada: We're coming undone!

Sorrel: It's only begun!

Lila: Baby We R One!
RDJ: Hold me now and never let me go!
Hold me now and let the whole world know!
Both: Got to let this feeling grow! (X2)
Sorrel: Looking back at what we've done,

Soon the sprinklers all turned on in the garden absolutely soaking them as they began dancing around and picking their girls up swinging them around. As they all began laughing and cherishing these moments so dearly.
All: Ohhh-Ooooh-Yeh!

And just as the song had finished, like the picture was frozen in mid jump. Our beloved story has come to an end, where the three best friends had come from being hustlers. Stealing from those to walk away with the riches. Have now experienced something far greater…Their hearts were stolen by three beautiful women who have changed their lives forever…

Hey? I know that he final chapter was a little shorter than the rest of them were but, I think this was the perfect way to end the story don't you agree?
