"Does anyone else know?" Cordelia asked as the two of them left the Bronze through the backdoor.
"Not yet, Uncle Rory really emphasized the need for secrecy from normal humans, but I can't do this alone, Cordelia, so he agreed to let me tell Jesse. Which means Jesse is going to eventually find out you're a Fuchsbau."
"Great, Stalker Boy's going to know my biggest secret. I want to be there when you tell him about Grimm and Wesen in general."
"Telling about you is up to you, but he'll find out eventually if he's part of this."
"Yeah, he will."
"You really don't like him, do you? He's a great guy, a good friend. He's always had my back."
"He fawns all over me, Xander. It makes me really uncomfortable and he never seems to realize it."
"Not to make excuses for my gender, but it's really hard to think straight around girls in general and you in particular. Just saying."
"Well, he needs to figure out how to because he's never going to get a girlfriend behaving like that."
"It would be nice if someone had pointed that out to us guys at some point. That subtle instead of over the top gets a girl to like you back. I mean it seems obvious when you say it, but it's the kind of obvious that bypasses a teenage boy's brain."
"That whole 'not able to think straight around girls' thing?"
"Exactly."
"You seem to be doing alright, right now."
"Well that's because I'm on overload from the whole Grimm and Wesen thing. It's kinda dominating my thoughts right now."
"You're talking to me, Cordelia Chase, Queen of Sunnydale High and I'm not the only thing in your teeny tiny Harris shaped brain? What kinda of weirdo are you? Don't you know how rude that is?"
"Telling you that you're not the only thing on my mind right now? And didn't we just discuss your not wanting to be the only thing on a guys mind?"
"No, we didn't, we discussed guys going overboard on showing their interest, you're the one who brought up that girls are generally the only thing on a guy's mind and then you say I'm not on your mind. That's insulting!"
"Well, excuse me for being overwhelmed by my new status in life! Not to mention, your own! I think I'm entitled to a little brain fog!"
"You redefine brain fog! In fact you act like you're smoking something!"
"I'm not the one who was just hanging out with Devon McLeish, he sells pot, remember? Did he give you a free taste?"
"Ew, as if I'd ever risk my reputation or my actual brain by doing something like that! Moron!"
"Fashion victim!"
"Cretin!"
"That's King of Cretins, I'll have you know!"
"Of course it is, you're the biggest cretin around!"
'Okay, note to self, getting in Xander Harris' face and going nose to his chin close to him is a very bad idea!' The fifteen year old girl managed to think as he abruptly wrapped an around her waist, pulled her close and blew the top of her head off with a kiss. After a moment she managed to pull back and stared at him. "What the Hell was that?!" She demanded to know.
"I'm trying to figure that out myself." Xander mumbled. "I recognize a kiss, but the rest of that. Since when is arguing exciting? Is this a Fuchsbau thing? Or a Wesen thing in general? Or a Grimm thing?"
"Hey! I'm not a Zeigevolk!"
"What's a Zeigevolk?"
"I forgot how new you are to all of this." Cordelia sighed. "A Zeigevolk is a goat Wesen, they have pheromones that make people really...well you get the idea."
"Seriously, that's a thing?"
"If I didn't know Jesse wasn't a Wesen, I'd wonder if he was a dormant Zeigevolk, the males especially are horndogs."
"He's not, okay he is that bad. I'll talk to him about toning it down. As for this, whatever this was, let's just call it a weird anomaly and say it won't happen again."
"Agreed. Besides the whole you're a Grimm and I'm a Fuchsbau, you're a lame loser with bad fashion sense."
"And you're a harpy first class."
"Ohhh! You are so infuriating!"
"You're no prize yourself, Princess!"
"You did not just say that to me!"
"What, the fact that you're not a prize or calling you a Princess instead of a Queen?"
"Either! Any guy would be very lucky to date me!"
"I thought girls didn't want to be treated like objects?"
"We don't, but that's not the point!" Crap.
"Okay." Cordelia took a long step away from him after he stopped kissing her again. "This has to stop! I'm going home and taking a hot bath and pretending none of this happened."
Xander looked kinda dazed and then with a big effort focused on Cordelia again. "And talking to Jesse?"
"Tomorrow, we'll deal with it tomorrow. Call me first."
"I don't have your phone number."
"Look it up, Doofus!" She growled as she marched away.
"Did she have to mention a hot bath?" Xander muttered as he headed for his own house. And a cold shower.
