"...Miles..?" Tails heard a soft female voice say his name, he looked around to see an arctic fox staring in disbelief at him, along with a similar looking red fox. Could it be- no, there's no way, I thought they had died years ago! Tails thought to himself, but just to make sure, he said their names, just to check if it was really them, "Frost, Flare...?" The arctic fox smiled and started to tear up, but her eyes darted to something beside him, he turned his head, just soon enough to notice the laser beam being shot at him from a beebot. Sonic shouted, "TAILS!" and raced to his side, the arctic fox, Frost, also ran to his side, "who are you, and how do you know Tails' real name?" Sonic asked the girl, "I'm Frost, an old friend of his, and why did you just call him that?"
"KINDA NOT THE TIME FOR CHIT-CHAT, FROST!" Flare shouted at her sister as she attacked more robots with her newfound powers of fire.
Frost snapped back into the battle, using her ice to heal Tails. He woke up, and looked up to see Frost smiling, she quickly ran off to help Flare though. Tails was astounded, watching Frost battle Eggman's robots, this is what the little girl he was friends with grew up to be? But he had to admit, he grew up the same way. He and Sonic worked in tandem, smashing robots, Tails scanning for Eggman, and just working together as brothers. Frost smiled, seeing Tails again brought more joy to her life than before, but she noticed another yellow fox, a girl with her back fur tied up at the end. She shouted for Tails, who quickly dropped everything to save her. But it was too late, a bomb was thrown near her by a robot, and Tails was too slow to get to her. He dropped to his knees. Frost raced over to him to comfort him. It was horrifying for a young fox to see, blood was everywhere, her stomach was turned inside out from the blast. Tails got up, his eyes void of any emotion, and he screamed, "ROBOTNIK. YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR!" He flew away as fast as he could, racing to Eggman's base, bursting in through the walls till he saw Eggman. The mad scientist was terrified, he had meant to make that bomb not lethal, but it had malfunctioned, killing the girl. "Tails, I-I can explain!" he stuttered. "EXPLAIN THIS!" he dropped the body of Zoey on the floor of the base, blood dripping everywhere. "I swear, I didn't mean for this to happen!" he plead. Tails simply stared at him, he had nothing but hatred in his eyes. He took his belt buckle, and turned it, creating a rope of electricity. the rope transformed into a blade, crackling with Tails' hatred. He rose the blade and sliced down, cutting off the scientists arm. "I'll let you off with a warning this time..." Eggman was screaming at the amount of blood he lost. While Tails just floated away. When he got back to the island, he buried Zoey. After that, he went into his lab, locking the door, he hoped that by starving himself, he would be with Zoey soon enough...
