Somehow John ended up watching over the two children while the adults were off talking elsewhere. Which was fine, because dinner had been MASSIVE in portion size and he didn't want to move much.

Plus, Chip was already sleeping again and Roxy seemed happy enough attempting to escape his grasp as she crawled away babbling. "Ba!"

Nope! "Caught you again!"

She giggled as she used more than enough force to crumple metal while squirming in his grip. Which was fine, because his body was REALLY sturdy right now, so he could just ignore her far too powerful grip as she was tugged back into his lap. "Now I'm going to count to three again, alright? One…"

She immediately began crawling away. "...You didn't wait for three again."

Oh well.

As he wrangled the tiny hyperactive sugar cutie, ensuring she didn't attempt to escape by crawling over her brother and potentially hurting him, in the background his sister was talking with the girls and the adult portion of the Rubble family.

About furniture, strangely enough.

Turns out, using Essence blocks of Smooth Stone and Sandstone and stuff converted itself into REALLY valuable materials here. The random couch he had Crafted was… Well, Pebbles was apparently planning to send it off to auction later this week.

Point is, she was talking with Jessica about having John make a few more things around here too, if it wasn't super expensive or hard to accomplish. Save some money, considering how MUCH furniture got smashed by Roxy and Bamm-Bamm when they were careless.

The problem here, and the reason why John was watching the little ones instead of getting involved in this conversation HIMSELF, was related to quality.

According to Grace?

Even the 'thrown together' and 'crappy quality' stuff he crafted was a bit TOO good for the locals.

Because Crafting reformed raw materials into VERY refined products.

Even when he made an 'exact' copy of something, his Crafting modules would (Right now) automatically correct the very minute flaws and fractures that naturally occurred in materials, that would naturally weaken something to reasonable levels.

It was a minor setting issue that had never MATTERED in any previous Realm, as most people didn't carry around overly powerful magnifying lenses to examine random stuff he produced in the past.

But NOW, according to Grace… In this place? Where an ambient field of power enhanced stuff in odd ways?

Well, just like with everyone's Bodies working a bit TOO well with local enhancement energies, stuff that John Crafted, even when using 'normal' materials, was just a bit too perfect.

…Long story short, John's first attempt at making a 'more normal' couch had accidentally given the sitting material very weak superpowers.

Enhanced durability, Conceptually enforced comfort, stain Resistance… The list of minor but detectable existence manipulation was a concern.

True: These products would only show this sort of effect HERE, where reality itself seemed determined to empower everything in the area arbitrarily, and John was MOSTLY sure it would all be fine in the end… But it was an issue that Grace insisted they straighten out before John started producing lots of material in a place like this.

So Jessica and Grace and Pebbles were talking about possible fixes, Temptation was snoring in her chair, Bamm-Bamm was happily doing dishes in the massive kitchen, and John was quietly watching over Chip, playing with Roxy, and attempting to play innocent.

Because he was going to be SO grounded when his sis found out he replaced MOST of Bamm-Bamm's repair shop with new material.

Not the local variants either, since he hadn't known to be concerned at the time…

No, Bamm-Bamm's work area backrooms were now formed out of Essence reinforced high quality Crafted materials with ambient Concept enhancements and most materials replaced entirely by higher quality core components and some such.

Which uh, might be an issue.

But TECHNICALLY John had filed a log about doing so already, thus wasn't hiding anything, and therefore WASN'T responsible if such a minor detail happened to slip notice for a while.

Right?

Like, the log was marked as read and archived and encoded and stuff, but he HAD submitted a report at ONE point, so…

Sigh. No, this was stupid. He'd have to fess up about this. "Come on, Roxy. I need to use your tactical grade cuteness abilities to defray my sister's upcoming migraine." "Ba!"

The little one was still crawling in midair as John lifted her by her tiny onesie and made sure Chip was still sleeping comfortably nearby.

Welp, best get this over with. "Hey, sis? You got a minute?"

~~~Pocket System~~~
Bamm-Bamm blinked. "Huh."
His lovely wife just huffed. "Your whole garage gets converted into raw wealth, and that's all you have to say about it?"
He paused, considering that… "Even the parts and stuff?"
John nodded, little Roxy tugging his hair from his shoulders. "Uh huh."
Hmm. "I probably can't use them then. I've had clients want strange materials used to show off status and stuff before, but I use the parts I chose because they do the job right. I best order replacements when I get in tomorrow."
Thankfully he mostly ordered shipments of raw material or dug his own on collection trips, since learning how to carve and chisel the needed equipment was just part of the job. Shouldn't be hard to get back into the swing of things after a bit of effort.
His wife huffed. "Well we can certainly afford it I suppose, considering even your scrap material is made out of pure profit now." She rubbed her eyes. "...Am I going to have to put your mallets and stuff out for auction too with my couch? Are they made out of raw diamonds and stuff now?"
Huh. "Probably not, I don't bother with tools much in my back rooms. It should be mostly raw material back there… After all, it is much easier to just use a bit of force and hand work the material directly! Most of those fancy gadgets I keep in the main garage so clients will assume I use them like 'normal' mechanics."
No animal workers in his shop either, since even the largest dinosaurs tend to get a bit uncomfortable seeing a 'tiny' person like Bamm-Bamm out perform them.
So it should be good! "Yeah, I just need some good stock to work with and somewhere to move the things little John changed and I'll be fine." Probably wouldn't take long, just a bit of lifting.
Jessica chuckled. "Then I can just Collect all the loose stuff to clear up space tomorrow and you should be good to go! Then we can spend the day touring Hollyrock and…"
John winced. "That will… I mean, it uh… That might not work. Exactly."
Bamm-Bamm blinked. "Why?"
The young man wasn't meeting anyone's eyes. "Well, replacing such a large chunk of the building might have technically counted as me 'building a [[Home]]', and…"
What? He glanced at his confused wife.
Wait, why did Jessica groan out loud? "HEY GRACE! Check if we got a local [[Home]], would you please?"
Over at the dining table, the pure white woman Grace looked up from her doodling on her sister's sleeping face. "Huh!? Wait, let me check!"
Then S̷̶̡͘͠O҉̧M͏͏Ȩ̷́҉Ţ̴̨҉͢H̨I̸̷͘͝N̛̛͝G̶̵ happened and the woman seemed to glitter and shine and… "Huh, would you look at that? Our Lord sort of merged Bamm-Bamm's garage with the concept of the maintenance and manufacturing division layer of the [[Home]]..."
Bamm-Bamm wasn't sure what that meant exactly. "...Is that bad?"
John winced. "It means any used up materials, or anything 'Collected' or transported away, will just resupply itself automatically."
Jessica huffed. "Can't you adjust that feature? Or at least alter it to produce different materials?"
Pebble's eyes however lit up! "OR NOT! I mean… We have plenty of savings and such, wouldn't it be much simpler for everyone if Bamm-Bamm buys that property next to his shop and just builds a material warehouse for more usual stone and such THERE?"
Then she gave him a look with wiggling eyebrows and… Oh. "Yeah, that sounds MUCH simpler to do and would give me a bit more room to work on the more oddly shaped vehicles."
Jessica blinked. "Are you sure? That sounds like a lot of hassle…"
Pebbles huffed. "Am I sure that I want my husband to have an endless supply of valuable material that he can use to accent anything he works on in the future? For literally no cost? Yes. Yes I am sure."
Their female guest blinked and then chuckled. "Ah! No, that makes sense. Sorry, after traveling with my little brother for so long and having unrestricted, unlimited access to his abilities… Well, I had a slight mental hiccup."
John on the other hand sighed with relief as Roxy began climbing down his left arm. "I'm just happy I can stop fiddling with my System configuration settings now… I've spent most of today just trying to make my eyebrows stop glowing, it gets old after a while."
His sister gave him a look. "You WILL need to get that under control at some point."
Then the white angelic lady skipped over! "Oh, let me do it my Lord! I would be blessed just for the opportunity!"
John pointed with one hand while the other one snagged the escaping baby. "Please feel free to do so! As for YOU, you little houdini!" "Baba!" "Don't you 'Baba' me, young lady! We are going back to Chip and we are BOTH taking a nap now!" "Ga?" "Don't you make me make us take TWO naps! I'm just sleepy enough to do it!"
Bamm-Bamm chuckled at the Dinoplay. "Be careful Roxy, I think he's serious!"
Her little eyes got HUGE and she attempted to flee once more! "Babababa!"
But it was too late to stop John's dastardly plan! "Muah ha ha! Now NO one will be awake as I pull us all into sleepytimes!"
Pebbles glanced at darkness outside and hummed. "Oh my, it has gotten a bit late, hasn't it? Jessica, let me show you the guest room. I think the children are going to have a sleepover on that new couch John made this afternoon."
The boy in question nodded, lifting the struggling girl as he wandered back towards Bamm-Bamm's little boy. "Just a heads up, I need a bit more data before I or Grace can get this all straightened out so I will probably be replacing your couch a few times before we go to bed. Maybe if I make something at the edge of perfection it will simplify the process of toning this sort of thing down in the future."
Pebbles lit up! "Ooh, could you make them green? Trying to find fur in that shade is VERY difficult, and scales just don't feel right. The few dyes I've tried tend to not last long, so I can only use them for outfits now and then."
Remembering said outfits, Bamm-Bamm couldn't help but smile. "You always look so lovely in those…" Oh right, they still had guests. "Are you sure you only need one bed for all three of you?"
Jessica chuckled and waved towards the two young ladies over… Oh. they vanished. "Yes, only I will be using the spare bed tonight. Grace wants to stay up trying to fix things and Temptation would wake up if we tried to move her anyway."
His wife blinked at them both suddenly vanishing. "And… And you say they are now in John's…?"
Ms. Doe nodded. "John's Pocket, yes. It's surprisingly comfortable in there, don't worry."
He held back a chuckle… Considering their past he sort of expected her to roll with the punches a bit better… Maybe they should have another reunion next holiday? Help remind her of their roots, as it were?
After all, it had been a while since he'd brought the grandparents in to play with the kids, even if Grandpa Fred and Barney tended to bring a bit of chaos in their wake. Not to mention a bit of nostalgic family cooking would certainly be welcomed every once in a while…
For now though, let's make sure the guests are all situated. "Just follow me and I'll show you your room for the night. I'll just check in on John and the little ones a couple of times while my love makes sure you have everything you need, alright?"
That made Pebbles blink and spin back up. "Let's see, I changed the sheets… Maybe an extra fur or two? It is getting into the colder days now… Come on Jessica, let's make sure you feel right at home tonight."
The massive man watched the two ladies head off to the guest room before turning towards the (Now potentially magical) couch to just check in on his little slugger and her brother.
Chip probably wouldn't be an issue, but Roxxy might be a LITTLE hyperactive, which could be a tad rough on the local area… John would probably be fine, considering how oddly powerful his whole group had turned out to be, but it would be best to just check and make sure.
