Latias flew Buddy and Ash very far away. Buddy didn't know where they were going but a lot of land flew by under them and it was getting warmer. Buddy didn't know it was even possible for a Pokémon to fly this fast. Latias might have been faster than the airplane.

Finally Latias started going down and landed in a forest in the middle of nowhere. All the wild Pokémon ran away and Buddy finally escaped her claw. She put Ash on a tree stump. He was still bloody and unconscious.

Buddy ran right over to check Ash again. He was still breathing but he was not waking up.

"I am sorry about your friend. As your guardian angel I was not allowed to get involved until you were in danger." Latias explained.

"Smoliv!" Buddy exclaimed. He kept shoving Ash's head trying to wake him up. Even though he just said Smoliv Latias was able to understand his words somehow. He asked if Ash was going to be okay.

Latias made a dark face and didn't look at Buddy. "I am afraid your trainer is in a coma. I do not know if he will ever wake up."

Buddy couldn't believe it. His luck had turned awful just as quick as it had turned good. He squeaked his name again and asked Latias why.

"That man who attacked your trainer is the one Mew was trying to stop. His name is Giovanni and he used to lead a group of criminals called Team Rocket." Latias explained. "Mew didn't think he would be a problem so soon though!"

Buddy asked why.

"Do you know who Darkrai is?" Latias asked nervously.

Buddy thought a minute and then shook his head.

"Darkrai is the nightmare Pokémon. He is a very bad Pokémon who gets stronger when people have more nightmares. So he helps evil people make everything worse so that more people will have nightmares." Latias explained. "He found out about Mew's plan so he blessed some Pokémon of his own to stop Mew's Pokémon. He called them… Angels of Death. That black Lucario must have known you were special and tried to hold you back! Then he told Giovanni about you so that he could come get rid of you!"

Riolu had been evil all along? Buddy wondered if all the other orphans that had bullied him were also Angels of Death. Riolu had been the worst one by far so maybe they were just mean.

"Mew thought all the guardian Pokémon would be able to train and grow up safely to stop Giovanni but apparently he and the Angels of Death has taken a bunch of them out!" Latias said angrily. "Now we have to figure out how to still stop him!"

This made Buddy nervous. Just how many of these guardian Pokémon were taken out already? They were probably way stronger than him and he didn't even have a trainer any more! Had they already lost?

Latias noticed him looking at Ash. "We need to do something about him! We don't stand any chance if you don't have a strong trainer."

Buddy asked Latias if they could take him to a hospital.

"If we take him to a hospital Giovanni might find him. He has ex-Team Rocket in a lot of the hospitals and it might take him too long to wake up from his coma anyways! No we need something faster."

Latias thought a moment and then a lightbulb lit up over her head.

"I know! Have you ever heard of Celebi?"

Buddy thought and nodded. He had heard about this one!

"Celebi is a time travel Pokémon and my friend. If we take him to Celebi then Celebi can time travel him back to before he was hit by the truck to take him out of the coma!"

Buddy's eyes sparkled. That made a lot of sense!

"The only problem is Celebi had to go into hiding after Team Rocket went looking for her a year ago. I don't know where she is anymore!" Latias said frowning. "All she said was that she was going to hide in the metal forest in Unova! But I don't know any forests made of metal."

Buddy hadn't heard of any forests made of metal either but Buddy hadn't seen a lot of things. And this was his only chance to save Ash so he couldn't give up!

Buddy hopped over to Ash's body and pulled his bag open and searched through it.

"What are you doing?" Latias asked.

"Smoliv!" Buddy exclaimed and he pulled a piece of paper out of Ash's bag. He unrolled it on the grass and revealed it was a map.

Buddy hopped over to Unova and started looking it over to see if there were any metal forests.

"I have seen plenty of maps of Unova before and there's no metal forests on them." Latias explained. She frowned at Buddy. "I know! It must be a riddle! Maybe Celebi just meant something LIKE a forest that is made out of metal."

Buddy gasped and started looking again. What was like a forest made out of metal? White forest was a forest but it didn't look like it was made out of metal. Chargestone cave might have had some metal but it wasn't anything like a forest. But what about

"Smoliv!" Buddy had it. He pointed a foot at Castelia city. Cities were like forest, and they were made out of metal!

Latias gasped. "Buddy you're a genius! I see why Mew chose you now! Celebi must be hiding in Castelia city! We should go quick! The faster we can find Celebi the faster we can save Ash from his coma!"

Without wasting any time Latias grabbed Buddy in one hand and Ash's body in the other and took to the air again with both of them hanging beneath her. She took off and flew off towards Castelia city.

Buddy had never seen buildings so big! He understood why they were called skyscrapers now. They were so tall they were part of the sky rather than the ground, which was why flying types liked them so much.

Latias put Buddy and Ash's body down on top of one of the tallest skyscrapers. There was no one up here and Buddy ran over to peer off the edge at the hundreds of people on the street so far below.

"Careful Buddy!" Latias picked him up and put him down further from the edge. "If you fell from this far up you would explode like an olive!" Latias explained.

Buddy shuddered thinking about exploding. He didn't want to die so he stepped away from the edge.

"We can leave Ash here where no one will find him." Latias pointed to a dumpster and then gently placed Ash's body behind it. "We just need to find out where Celebi is hiding in this city and bring her back here and she can time travel him awake again! And I already have an idea!"

Buddy tilted his head at Latias and asked her to explain.

"Celebi loves nature! So I bet she is hiding in one of the parks!" Latias explained. "The biggest park of all! Central park!"

Author's Note: Ash here! Since I am in a coma right now the only way I can talk in this chapter is through the author's note! Thing's aren't going so great for me right now but luckily Buddy is by my side! A new friend has never been so loyal! I'm sure I'll be awake again in no time!

P.S. All my other Pokémon are in their Pokéballs right now which is why you haven't seen them yet since other Pokémon can't open those! Also in this timeline I don't have a Pikachu so please stop asking!
