Disclaimer: I don't own Marvel or its characters, If I did then Peter Parker and Kitty Pryde would be together in every universe. They would have met, became friends, later became boyfriend and girlfriend, got engaged, got married, and had a family.
Another thing, because on only lets you put up one poll. I must ask, in every ShadowSpider series, the main pairing is always Peter Parker and Kitty Pryde. But I am having trouble with other pairings, like Rogue. My plan is to set Rogue up with Gambit in Evolution, now my question to you all. Should I do the same in this series, or do you think that I should try someone else. In the poll on I have Rogue and Bobby. Do any of you have suggestions, let me know in the comments. Keep in mind, I'm not big on OCs.
A third thing, can someone explain to me about the original X-Men in the universe. I know from the show that it is Scott, Jean, Hank, Warren, and Bobby, but how does that make sense? Bobby was 18 when Logan was reforming the X-Men, and the other four seem much older than him like five to ten years older. But in Scott's memories they all seemed similar ages. I'm just so confused on how that works. I have this idea about some kind of aging machine, that made Scott, Jean, Hank, and Warren older that Bobby, but the I thought that was stupid. I then remembered in the comics that Scott and Jean were sent to the future and spent 12 years there raising Cable until they returned to their present. There was also an episode in Avengers Assemble, it was season three where the Avengers were sent to different Dimensions, but when they got Sam they got him after he spent years in that dimension with Kang. What are your theories on this, and how can I make sense of it? Private message me or leave your theory and answer in the comments/reviews.
Question: Been thinking of making a Discord Server based on ShadowSpider for fans of this series and the pairing in general to come and talk about it. You know to trade story ideas, give information about where any stories about this couple is located. Maybe this server will inspire people to write about this couple more, anyway, tell me what you all think. Thank you.

Chapter 3: Enter the Morlocks Part 1
Monday, April 7, 2014, 10:00 pm, New York City Sewers
On an ordinary night, the sewers were dark and quiet, one of the only signs of life that people are aware of are rats. One rat is scurrying in the water minding its own business when it had to run out of the way or be crushed by a foot, the owner of the foot not paying attention of what they almost killed, they were too busy running for their life. The person who was running for their life was a 5'5 tall girl, with red hair, caucasian skin, brown eyes, she was wearing jeans that had some rips on it, a red t-shirt, and black shoes. This girl was a mutant, and she was currently being chased. As she ran the girl heard what sounded like a whistling sound behind her. Looking behind her the girl sees nothing, nothing but darkness. Just then metal projectiles shoot from the darkness and head straight toward the girl. Screaming, the girl jumped to the side falling in the water, just barely dodging the projectiles. As she gets up, the girl notices that it is quiet now as if nothing was chasing her in the first place. The only proof is the projectiles which look like metal feathers.
The girl is still weary, she knows better than to let her guard down when she isn't with her group, especially with someone who was trying to kill her. After another minute of silence, the girl starts to feel a semblance of safety, thinking that perhaps he left thinking that she was dead. She was proven wrong when a blur comes out of the shadows and speeds straight to her, the girl didn't even have time to move when she was kicked in the chest, the force so great that she was sent ten feet to the ground. The girl groaned at the pain that she is feeling right now. Slowly and painfully the girl gets up and looks to see her assailant which is none other than Warren Worthington, once known as the X-Man Angel, now reborn as Archangel. He now wears a blue suit with dark pink accents, his adamantium wings sticking out of his back, the only thing visible is his face with his blonde eyebrows, pupilless eyes, and blue skin making him look like something out of a nightmare. "You will be coming with me now," Archangel said as he walked toward the girl.
"Stay back," the girl said, but Archangel didn't listen to her instead he ran toward her at a fast speed. Panicking, the girl got ready to thrust her hands out at Warren, one touch and it would be over.
Just as Archangel was right in front of her, the girl thrust her hands toward his chest getting ready to do damage when something got in the way, it was Archangel's wing that the girl's hand was touching, and as it was touching it smoke could be seen coming from it, however despite that Archangel showed no signs of pain which surprised the girl. Then before she could move Archangel hit her with his wings sending her flying and crashing against the wall, knocked out. Seeing this Archangel walked up to the girl, picked her up, and then he flew off.
Tuesday, April 8, 2014, 9:00 am, New York, Salem Center, Xavier Institute
Kitty is in the dining room, sitting at the table eating her breakfast which consists of two sunny side up eggs, two slices of white bread, and a coffee with two sugars and cream. She isn't alone at the table though, with her are her two best friends, Rogue, and Kurt, who might as well be her sister and brother respectively. Rogue is eating some scrambled eggs with bacon with black coffee, one of the things that Rogue inherited from Logan that Kitty didn't was the taste for black coffee. Kurt decided to go simple with a bowl of cereal with a coffee that has three sugars, and some blueberry blend which Kitty totally finds cliché. Jean, who opted for some scrambled eggs, and a coffee with some creamer, and two sugars, Scott who has some scrambled eggs, two slices of toast, and black coffee, one of the things that he has in common with Logan which neither will admit. Hank is just reading a paper while drinking some coffee, same kind as her and Jean, Ororo who has some hashbrowns, and a coffee, same as them. Then there is Forge who is having a bowl of cereal with some coffee that has creamer, and four sugars, and finally there is the youngest of the institute, Tildiewho decided to have some dunk eggs with orange juice, she isn't allowed to have coffee not until she is older, there was a meeting and everyone excluding Tildie herself agreed no coffee. The only two who weren't present were Logan and Bobby. Logan right now was in the danger room having one of his work outs, and Bobby well his excuse isn't as good as Logan's, Bobby is still in bed sleeping.
The group were all eating in silence, well the X-Men were, Tildie was still asking questions which the group would answer to sate her curiosity, Tildie was still surprised and amazed at everything around her. Kitty could understand, it takes everyone a few months to get used to everything.
"Why is everyone so quiet," Tildie decided to ask
"Vat vould you like to talk about," Kurt asked
"I don't know," Tildie answered shrugging her shoulders, "How has everyone been?"
Rogue shrugged her shoulders, "Well considering we're not being hunted by the MRD, pretty well," she said
"I'm doing vell as vell, pranked Bobby not too long ago," Kurt said smirking at what he has done to the ice mutant, "It should be happening about now."
Tildie looked at Kitty, "What about you Kitty," she asked the brunette.
"Hm, tired, in pain, pissed, and happy," Kitty answered.
"That's quite the mix," Ororo said
"Let me guess, the tired and in pain is because of Logan's training," Rogue said
Kitty nodded, "He is not holding back. I forgot what it was like to train with him. My bruises have bruises," she said getting sympathetic smiles from the group, of course some of them wonder why Kitty is training with Logan again since it has been years since they trained together.
"The pissed is because of Bobby," Rogue said
"He just keeps on bugging me, but now he is not only trying to get me to take him back, but now he is complaining," Kitty said sighing
"And the final one is…," Rogue said but was interrupted by the ice mutant himself who came walking in the dining room, getting everyone's attention.
Just as Bobby walked into the dining room, not in the least in a good mood, due to the way he was woken up, his alarm kept going off and no matter how many times he pressed the snooze or off switch it didn't work. Finally, it stopped when he threw it against the wall, breaking it. He is gonna have to get a new clock. He's still not sure who won, him or the clock, the clock is now against the wall in pieces, but he was up and unable to go to sleep. He knows that this was no coincidence, oh no this was a prank, and he will get his revenge. He immediately sees that everyone was looking at him quite surprised. As he looked around, his eyes then landed on Kitty, and he scowled remembering what she told him over a week ago.
Kitty, seeing Bobby's scowl, ignored it and turned back to her food to continue eating. Seeing this Bobby scowled again about how dismissive she is of him, he then turned and walked toward the kitchen to get something to eat. Minutes later, Bobby walked into the dining room with a bowl of Applejacks in hand, he sat himself at the table across from Kitty, much to her dismay. She could move, but she decided not to be that way, and continued with her breakfast. If she doesn't talk to him, hopefully he'll take the hint and not talk to her. Bobby started to eat but every few minutes he would glance/glare at Kitty, upset with her.
Since restarting her training with Logan, one of the things that he made sure to retrain in Kitty was being more aware of her surroundings which is how she knew that Bobby was glaring at her. That and he had been this way since she told him about her boyfriend. The guy acts like she had betrayed him or something, she didn't, she's allowed to move on, and she is doing that with Peter.
As he continued to glare at Kitty, eventually Bobby gained the attention of Tildie, she noticed him glaring at the girl who is practically her older sister and didn't like it, "What's with you Bobby," Tildie said, she can't help but wonder if it's because Kitty broke up with him. Maybe his desperate begging to take him back has turned to anger which is stupid considering it was his own fault, Bobby had the breakup coming. Just like everyone else, Tildie didn't like what Kitty and Bobby's relationship entailed. It always seemed like Bobby wanted Kitty for her physical characteristics and nothing else. Tildie didn't like this, especially when she noticed how unhappy Kitty was. Because of this, Tildie doesn't like Bobby, there were times when she wanted to use her mutant powers to crush Bobby, but she didn't she doesn't have enough control for that. Tildie really was relieved to find out about the breakup, she knew it was coming, Kitty had more self-respect than continuing with her and Bobby's relationship.
Bobby looked at Tildie, "What's up with me? I'll tell you…," he said, Bobby then turned to Kitty, "I can't believe that you got a boyfriend," Bobby said, voicing his displeasure.
"WHAT," the table minus Rogue, and Kitty exclaimed in surprise.
"Kitty, is this true? You have a boyfriend," Jean asked, it was obvious who Bobby was talking to considering his eyes hadn't left Kitty, they never really do these says, even though she broke up with him.
At hearing the question and seeing everyone's attention on her, Kitty blushed, "Uh, yeah, I do have a boyfriend," she said, this isn't how she pictured telling everyone that she was dating Peter, she figured that she would wait a month till she told them then she could bring him over and introduce everyone.
"How long have you been together," Scott asked
"Well, our first date was March 29, so twelve days, we added titles on the 31st, so been dating twelve days, and became official for nine. Heh, now that I think of it, I wonder when our anniversary should be, 29th or 31st," Kitty said looking up in thought.
"I think it should be the 31st to be honest, the 31st is when you two decided that you were exclusive only to each other," Rogue said
Kitty nodded, "You're right, alright the 31st, I'll be sure to tell Peter that when we next talk," she said smiling at the prospect of talking to her boyfriend.
"So, his name is Peter," Ororo said getting a nod from Kitty.
"Peter Parker," Kitty said
"And how old is he," Jean asked, remembering Kitty's attraction to older men, Piotr, Wisdom, Bobby.
"He turned 19 last August. He's only nine months older than me," Kitty said
"Hmm," Kurt hummed which got Kitty's attention.
"What," Kitty asked
"An older man, and his name is Peter," Kurt noted, he then smirked that smirk that tells Kitty that she is in for a world of teasing in the future, "Am I sensing a pattern here Kitty?"
Kitty scowled at her friend, and at everyone in the room who was smirking and even chuckling, all except for Tildie who doesn't know her past relationships, and Bobby for the obvious reason. "No, there is no pattern," she said
"How did you meet," Hank decided to ask.
"Who cares how they met," Bobby said getting everyone's attention, "How could you get a boyfriend," he asked, directing his question at Kitty.
Kitty glared at Bobby, "Why wouldn't I get a boyfriend, last time I checked Bobby, we broke up over a month ago, and I was single. I have every right to get a boyfriend if I wanted one, and you know what, I did want one, and I got one. SO, GET OVER IT," she said
The atmosphere was tense, everyone could feel it. It was always like this now when Kitty and Bobby were in the room together, not that it is Kitty's fault. It is Bobby who always starts everything. Deciding to try and break the tension Forge decided to ask a question, probably not the best question to ask but he was curious, "So how did you and Peter meet," Forge asked
Breaking her glare, Kitty looked toward Forge, "We were set up on a date," Kitty answered
"Who set you two up," Ororo asked, curious on who would set Kitty up on a date.
"Believe it or not, it was…," Kitty said but was once again interrupted.
"Me," Logan said as he entered the dining room in his usual attire.
Everyone in the room excluding Kitty and Rogue looked at Logan in surprise, "I'm sorry, but what did Logan just say," Forge asked not believing at all at what he heard.
"You heard me Forge, I'm the one who set up the date," Logan said
"You're serious," Hank said
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT," Bobby said, standing up from his chair making it fall to the ground, completely forgetting who he is talking to.
"I had two teenagers who were depressed that their love lives weren't working out. Figure I'd fix that before it became a problem," Logan said
"And you didn't think about helping us get back together," Bobby said pissed making Kitty frown, it wouldn't matter what Logan would do, what anyone would do, she had no interest in being with Bobby.
"Here's the thing Drake, after two weeks of watching you two date," Logan said motioning toward Bobby and Kitty, "I wanted to gut you, every single day I wanted to gut you. The only reason why I didn't is because the X-Men stopped me. You don't believe me ask them," Logan said, Bobby looked back at the X-Men, and they all nodded at him. There were a lot of times where they had to play interference between Logan and Bobby, and they barely succeeded. Honestly Bobby is lucky to be alive right now. After seeing the nods Bobby can't help but feel grateful toward his teammates. He then looked at Logan, but wished he didn't because of the death glare. "You didn't treat her right Drake, you didn't appreciate her for who she was, the only thing you were interested in was her body," Logan said, an edge entering his voice and his claws coming out as he remembered when Kitty told him how Bobby tried to pressure her into sex. The ice cube is lucky to be alive right now.
Kitty herself blushed at Logan mentioning her body, feeling embarrassment rush through her, she also can't help but feel anger too because she certainly remembered the times where he attempted sex and even tried to convince her, she doesn't know how many times. Another emotion she feels is smugness as she looks at the terrified face that Bobby is showing when he saw Logan's claws, it's always fun to see Logan scare people. The final emotions are gratitude and happiness at the fact that she now has a considerate boyfriend, sure the guy tends to be late a lot and has given her the lamest excuses ever, but Peter is considerate, and she can see that he cares for her. Besides, despite his lateness, he does show up and makes sure to do something a little extra to make up for it. But Kitty can also feel another emotion, it's one that is foreign but at the same time familiar to her, she can't name it. All she can say is that it scares her, but at the same time makes her feel giddy inside.
With Logan and Bobby, Logan was still giving the ice mutant a good dressing down, "One of the smartest things that Kitty has done is breakup with you Drake. She deserves better, anyone here can tell you that," Logan said
"And you think this Peter guy is better than me," Bobby said getting a smirk from Logan.
"Much better than you ice cube, I've known Parker for two years, the kid is smart, reliable, responsible, he has a good head on his shoulders, and unlike you he has a future," Logan said really bashing into Bobby's ego, well what did he expect you go against the Wolverine he isn't gonna pull his punches, and he certainly isn't pulling them against Bobby. Some of the X-Men can't help but feel bad for the kid, some even think about stepping in, but looking at Logan's face, not even Scott who won't hesitate to call Logan out will intervene. "You don't believe me, I suggest you ask the Avengers, Spider-Man, or even Kitty herself." Logan then looked at Kitty causing Bobby and everyone else to look at her.
Kitty sighed, "No comment," she said
"Well, there you have it," Logan said smirking at Bobby, "Give it up Drake, you'll never have a serious girlfriend if you stay the way you are, least of all Half-Pint." With that Logan switched his gaze toward Kitty, "Eat your breakfast, get changed, then come down to the danger room for training," Logan instructed getting a groan from Kitty, "Quit your whining, we're not doing any programs today, we're doing a different type of training, something that you'll like."
"I doubt it. What's the training today," Kitty asked getting a smirk from Logan who then tossed a black object to her. Kitty caught it easily, and once she looked at it, her eyes widened, and her dread turned to excitement. She then looked at Logan, "Really?!"
Logan smirked then nodded, "After breakfast, get change, your uniform is in your room, then get down to the danger room for training," he said, with that Logan walked out of the dining room.
Filled with excitement at the training that she will be doing, Kitty immediately digs into her breakfast eating as fast as she can, not even caring that she may be making a mess. After she drank the last of her coffee, Kitty stood up, picked up her empty dishes, headed to the kitchen to place in the sink, she then ran back into the dining room, and picked up the black object. "I'll see ya guys later, gotta get ready for training," Kitty said as she then ran out of the dining room and headed up the stairs to her room.
Once at her room, Kitty opened the door and entered her room, once she looked inside Kitty saw a familiar outfit lying on her bed. Walking up to her bed, Kitty looks at the gray clothing, she then picks it up, and she can't help but smile at all the memories that rush through her, she then puts on the uniform.
Later, in the Danger Room
The doors slide open, and Kitty enters the training area. Once she entered the danger room Kitty's eyes immediately land on Logan, "Bout time you got here," Logan said
"Hey, I didn't take that long," Kitty retorted
Logan who was wearing his samurai outfit with his sword sheathed on his hip, and another sword in his hand smirked, "Yeah you did. You were probably looking yourself in the mirror. Weren't you," he said
Kitty, whose hair is in a low ponytail, and is wearing an identical uniform to Logan blushed at the accusation, "Are you kidding, I don't do that stuff anymore," she said, completely lying through her teeth, because that is exactly what she was doing. But there is no way that she is telling Logan that, though due to his smirk she can tell he knows that she's lying which really irks her that he still knows her enough to tell when she is lying.
"Whatever you say Half-Pint," Logan said, he then tossed Kitty the sword that he was holding, it flipped in the air a few times until Kitty caught it by the handle and sheathed it in her sheath that is on her hip as well. "We'll see what it is that you remember and what you forgot with a spar."
"You'll be surprised with how much I remember," Kitty said as she sent Logan a smirk.
"Arrogance is the enemy, it clouds the judgement, and a samurai must have clarity or it becomes the reason for one's downfall," Logan said seriously.
Kitty knows not to do anything childish like roll her eyes this time. Logan was always serious when it came to her samurai training, and he expected the same seriousness from her. Right now, she is to give Logan the respect that a samurai deserves, and he will give her the respect that she deserves as well. Logan is serious and so is Kitty, this type of training they both take with the same seriousness. Right now, neither of them are X-Men, they are not Wolverine and Shadowcat, or mutants, right now they are teacher and student. With that in mind Kitty wipes off her smirk and shifts her face into a serious and determined look.
Moving in synchronization, Logan, and Kitty bow to each other in show of respect, they then look at each other, grasp the handles of their blades, and charge each other. Once they are close enough, they sheath their blades and clash them, metal hitting metal. The two were at a deadlock, Logan was looking at Kitty, but Kitty had already made a mistake, "Sloppy," Logan said pushing Kitty away making her stumble backwards, "Always be looking at your opponent, never your weapon," Logan advised, he then ran toward Kitty and slashed his sword down, but Kitty blocked the sword with her own, growling, after that she was just able to push Logan off making him back off. With some distance between them the two got in their stances and charged each other again. What neither realizes is that they were being watched.
Sinister's Lair, Unknown Location
Mr. Sinister is shown walking through a hallway, currently heading to his destination which is his lab. Just last night, Archangel brought in a new recruit, and a new test subject for him. From what he had gathered this mutant had acid touch, oh there are so many things that he could do with this mutant. Just before, Sinister could think what he could do, a figure appears in front of him, stopping him, "Master Apocalypse," Sinister greeted
"Sinister," Apocalypse said
"What do I owe the pleasure," Sinister said
"Just came to remind you Sinister what this mutant is really for," Apocalypse said
"I haven't forgotten, but you also said I could experiment on them, see how mutants get their powers, and if we can make more," Sinister counter
"I'm very aware of what I said Sinister, but I also said that if you want the detailed information then you experiment on the weak. Just like natural selection, only the strongest may join my army, if there is no place for the others then you may do whatever you wish. But the strongest you improve and make stronger. This mutant can become very deadly if enhanced, I don't want her to die because you got carried away. You nearly killed the last one," Apocalypse said
"I was curious how his powers worked," Sinister said, that mutant's powers truly were intriguing, "I still haven't figured everything out about that mutant."
"You're just lucky he survived. I want this mutant to live Sinister, to serve me. Understand," Apocalypse said
"I understand," Sinister said, and after receiving another warning glare from Apocalypse, the mutant disappeared, and Sinister continued walking until he made it to a door which slid open.
Sinister's Lab
Once Sinister entered his lab which looks like what you would expect in a lab of a mad scientist, it had a ton of tables for his test subjects, a bunch of advanced machinery, with medical supplies. Immediately as he enters, Sinister sees Archangel next to a table. Sinister then makes his way toward him, "Master Sinister," Archangel said bowing
"Hello Archangel," Sinister said as he approached the table, he then looked at the table and saw the unconscious girl on the table strapped down, "So, this is the girl?"
"Yes master," Archangel said
"You have any problems containing her," Sinister said
"She ran away, but I was able to catch her before she could get help," Archangel said
"Hm, you did good work my Archangel," Sinister praised, just then they noticed that the girl was waking up, "Ah, she's awaking."
Finally, the girl woke up and groaned as she felt pain course through her, just then she noticed that she wasn't home, but somewhere unfamiliar to her. She tries to move but finds that she is strapped down, seeing this she tries to struggle but finds that she can't get free, "What, what's going on," she said, just then she noticed Sinister and Archangel, "You, you attacked me, and chased me."
"Yes, he did my dear, his name is Archangel, and he was doing what I instructed him," Sinister said getting the mutant's attention.
"Who, who are you," the girl asked
"Me I'm your doctor," Sinister said
"Doctor," the girl repeated confused, getting a nod from Sinister. "Why am I here?"
"To hear what I have to say," Sinister said, releasing the girl from her restraints. "I apologize for restraining you, I just had to make sure that you wouldn't run off before we could talk. You won't run off, will you?"
Seeing that running probably wouldn't be the smartest move, because one she doesn't know where she is, and two the person who caught her the first time was there and he would catch her a second time. Knowing this, the mutant girl nodded.
Pleased with the response, Sinister spoke, "Tell me, are you tired of living in the sewers in shame," Sinister asked
"What," the girl asked surprised
"Are you tired of living in the sewers? Don't you wish that you could go back to the surface and live the life that you once did, even better than you did? To live your life without fear or shame of what you are," Sinister said, he could see the hesitant, contemplative, and anger appear on the girl's face, this make him smile, "You do don't you?"
The girl gave a hesitant nod, "Yes, I do," she said
"Do you want to make those humans hide instead? Make them feel what you feel every day," Sinister asked
The girl grew angry, she then looked at Sinister, "I do, more than anything," she said, she wishes that she could make those humans feel the same type of pain, the same type of fear that she does every day.
"What if I told you that was possible," Sinister said getting a curious look from the girl.
"What do you mean," the girl asked
"We mutants have and always will be superior to humans, and it is time they knew this. Time to know just who the lesser species are. I am gathering an army of mutants, and when we are ready, we will take this word for mutant kind. Think about it, no more hiding, no more living in fear, being treated as second-class citizens. Doesn't that sound nice," Sinister said, he can tell he has the girl's interest. "If you join us, then that world will become a reality, only the strong deserve this world, you are among the strong. That is why you were chosen."
"I only have acid touch though, can't do much if I can't touch anyone," the girl said
"Well, that's why I am here," Sinister said, he then gestured toward Archangel, "You see Archangel here, you wouldn't know it, but once he was Angel of the X-Men."
"What," the girl exclaimed surprised, "He, he is Angel." She heard of what happened between Angel, the X-Men, and her group. She can't believe that this was once the beautiful Angel. What happened to him?
"That's right. Some months back, Angel ran into the MRD, they attacked him, and his wings were severely damaged, his father then decided to remove his wings because he wanted a normal son," Sinister said, he could see an enraged look on the girl's face. That's good, that's what he wants, "Angel grew depressed, he just wasn't himself without his wings. I offered my services, he rejected me at first, but then came to me. I restored his wings; except I made them better than they ever were. You've witnessed some of the improvements." The girl's nod was his answer, "You accept my offer, and I can make you more powerful than you would expect. I can push your powers to heights that you never thought existed. No more, living in fear, no more hiding. All you must do is agree to serve me, and my master, to fight for us, and to kill for us. I think that is a fair trade, don't you? So, what do you say Cybelle, will you serve Apocalypse?"
Cybelle didn't even think about it, everything that Sinister said, everything that could happen, the future. If that is possible then she wants to be part of it, with that Cybelle looked at Sinister, "Yes, I will join you, and I will fight for our future," she said
Sinister smirked, "Good choice, now let's make those improvements, shall we," he said, with that Cybelle laid on the table, she was strapped in and Sinister got to work on his latest subject.
Later, Xavier Institute, Danger Room
Metal clashing with metal can be heard throughout the room, the source of this noise is two swords clashing with each other, the wielders of these swords are Logan and Kitty currently the two are in another deadlock, they have been training for two hours straight. Quite the intense session, at least for Kitty, she forgot how much stamina it took for this training. She was sweating, and her breathing was heavier than it was in the beginning. Yet despite this, despite the fact that she is getting her butt kicked, Kitty is having the time of her life. She can't help it; she always did love her samurai training. To become a modern-day samurai was very appealing to her. She remembers planning on adding a sword to her suit, at least when Logan got her one, and he would only get her a sword when she completed her training. He told her that she wasn't allowed to get her own sword, a sword is something earned, not bought. She once did try to get her own sword, Logan found out, and he wasn't happy. Kitty tries not to think of the punishment that she received for her disobedience.
Kitty and Logan lock eyes, Kitty's eyes are filled with determination while Logan's are so calm, it was just like when they first began her training, that isn't exactly a good thing. Kitty, quickly retreats and gained some distance from Logan, she then charges Logan, and swings her sword diagonal left, but Logan blocked it and pushed her sword away, he then moved in and slashed diagonal right which she block, in one swift move Logan slashed horizontal which again Kitty blocked, she then pushed the sword away and slashed Logan horizontal as well but he took a step back, dodging the sword, then at a fast and swift speed that Kitty wasn't ready for Logan slashed horizontal right, she block, he slashed horizontal left, she blocked again, he slashed down, she barely blocked, he slashed horizontal, she barely dodged, Logan then slashed horizontal right which Kitty barely blocked, Logan then positioned his sword to where he is making Kitty's sword slide down, he then slides his sword up making Kitty just barely move her head out of the way. She didn't have time to do or think of anything else because just then Logan jabs the hilt of his sword in Kitty's stomach making her fall to the ground, her sword dropping to the ground. Before she could get up, the point of Logan's sword was in front of her face, she groaned knowing very well that signaled her defeat. After that Logan moved his sword away from Kitty and sheathed it, he then offered his hand which Kitty took to help her stand up. Once she is standing, Kitty grabbed her sword from the floor sheaths it, she then looked towards Logan and the two bowed once again. "Good job kid, it looks like to you retained more of your skill than I thought you did," he said
"Thanks, but I still lost," Kitty said
"That's because even though you have more skill than I thought you did; you still don't have the skill that you had two years ago. You've forgotten things kid, both your body and mind. Your mind wasn't clear, it was still clouded. A samurai's mind must always be clear to help them perceive the situation and how to handle it. You had allowed annoyance and frustration take over, and that crippled you. If you want to get back to the condition that you were in two years ago and farther then there are things that I am gonna have to teach you again."
"I'm amazed you still remember this stuff; I mean the MRDs don't exactly give you the chance to use a sword," Kitty said, wondering how Logan had kept up his skill.
"The Silver Samurai taught me a lesson, the only good thing that he has done in his miserable life. I must keep my skills up, no matter what, I can't let these skills waver, you never know when we'll run into someone like that again," Logan said, 'Or, if he will return for revenge,' he thought, that honestly wouldn't surprise him. To prepare for that day, Logan will continue his training as well as Kitty's, well that is if she decides to continue once the time limit is up.
Kitty nodded; she could understand that. They will never know when they'll run into someone like that again, but if they do, they will be prepared next time.
"Training is over, I have another meeting with the professor, enjoy the rest of your day Kitty," Logan said
Kitty nodded, she then took off her sheathed sword from her hip and handed it to Logan when he approached her. Smirking at her, Logan walked away with both swords in hand.
Once Logan was gone Kitty herself walked out of the Danger Room and headed for the showers, then her room, she may call Peter. Hopefully she'll be able to talk to him.
Later, Xavier's resting place
Logan who is showered and dressed in his civilian attire walked in Charles's room and approached the bed, "Alright Charles, I'm here," he said, with that there is a flash of light and Logan finds himself in the astral plain in front of Charles Xavier.
"Hello Logan," Charles said
"Hey Chuck, you got any news from the front," Logan said
"Indeed, I do," Charles said making Logan smirk.
Later outside the astral plain
Logan looks at Charles, "Don't worry Chuck, we won't let you down," he said, he then went to gather the others.
In Kitty's Room
Kitty was lying on her stomach on her bed talking on her cell phone. Who was she talking to? Well, who else other than her boyfriend. She was currently recounting the tale of her training. "Then he sped up on his slashes, and I swear I could barely keep up, it was like sword fighting Quicksilver. He then slashed horizontal right which I was able to block but then he surprised me by sweeping my feet from under me, after that he pointed his sword at my face, and I was beat," she said
Peter whistled, "Wow, so my girlfriend is a samurai," he said
"Samurai in training," Kitty corrected smiling a bit.
"Either way, you officially became the coolest girlfriend that I ever had," Peter said
Kitty laughed at the comment, "Why thank you, it is my mission to be as cool as possible," she said
"Man, I have the coolest girlfriend, and I'm just plain boring," Peter said
"Don't say that you are so cool, I think it's awesome that you go out and take pictures of superheroes," Kitty said, trying to reassure her boyfriend.
"Really," Peter asked
Kitty nodded despite Peter couldn't see it, "I mean, it's a little scary. Scratch that it is a lot scary, but no one can take as good of picture as you can," Kitty said
"Well thanks, you know I try my best," Peter said
"Well trust me, you succeed," Kitty said, before more can be said there is a knock-on Kitty's door making her sigh, "Hang on Peter, someone is knocking." Kitty then got off her bed, walked up to the door, opened it, and saw Jean, "What's up Jean," Kitty asked, perplexed on why the psychic was knocking on her door. She doesn't get many visits from the older X-Men, the only ones who would visit her are Rogue, Kurt, Bobby back when they were a thing, and a couple years ago Logan.
"Hey Kitty, just ran into Logan, he's gathering everyone, says that he got some useful information from Charles. His words," Jean said
Kitty sighed, she then put her phone back to her ear, "Hey Peter, I have to go, X-Men meeting," she said
"Oh, well ok, I'll talk to you later then," Peter said
"Talk to you later. Bye," Kitty said
"Bye," Peter said
Kitty then hung up her phone and looked at Jean, "Ok, let's go," she said sighing as she and Jean started walking down the halls toward the war room.
"So, that was Peter," Jean asked curious.
"Yeah, that was him," Kitty answered
"What were you two talking about," Jean asked
"My training with Logan. He restarted my samurai training," Kitty said
"Really," Jean asked interested, she always found it interesting how Logan was a trained samurai, with his appearance and attitude you'd never think that he was one. But if there is one thing, she learned about the Wolverine years ago, it is that looks can be deceiving. It's one of the reasons why Logan once held her interest.
Kitty nodded, "Yeah he did," she said
"Did you have fun, I remember how much you love that training," Jean said, and it's obvious that Kitty still loved it considering how excited she got this morning, and how she devoured her food, and chugged her coffee.
Kitty smiled, "It was fun, it had been such a long time since I picked up a sword. Though it was also tiring, I forgot how much stamina was needed for that training," she said
"How did you get back into training with Logan," Jean asked the question that has been on everyone's minds.
"It was a bet," Kitty answered
"A bet," Jean asked getting a nod from Kitty.
"Logan had setup a date between Peter and I, I at first said no. I wasn't interested in dating anyone, I mean I was dealing with the aftermath of mine and Bobby's breakup," Kitty said, 'Still am dealing with that.' "In order to get me to agree, Logan made a bet with me."
"What was the bet," Jean asked curious.
"I go on the date, and if I don't like it then he would do whatever I wanted him to do. It didn't matter how embarrassing, demeaning, or degrading it was, he would do it," Kitty said
"And what did you want him to do," Jean said smiling
Kitty grinned as she remembered what she was gonna have Logan do, "I wanted him to walk in public cross-dressed in a black dress, high heels, makeup, everything," she said
Jean can't help but laugh at the image that was painted for her, "Only you Kitty would be so brave," she said making Kitty shrug like it was no big deal. This was proof to Jean that there is still hope for Logan and Kitty to repair their relationship, because she is still so comfortable and unafraid to embarrass Logan without fear of some kind of retaliation on his part.
"But if I liked the date then I would have to train with Logan for two weeks. The opportunity was too good, and at the time I thought that I wouldn't like anyone for a long while," Kitty said
"But you were wrong, you liked the date, and now you're training with Logan," Jean said getting a nod from Kitty.
"Exactly, it's a bit bittersweet, but hey I have myself an awesome boyfriend. I mean he tends to be late, and gives me the worse excuses ever," Kitty said rolling her eyes as she remembers some of his excuses. The first time he gave her an excuse she knew that he was lying and hiding something, she'd been keeping secrets and lying since she was 13 years old, so she's gotten good at telling when someone is hiding something. There's a reason people don't know that the Xavier Institute is the base of the X-Men, or that she is a mutant, even when she doesn't wear a mask, people still can't make the connection, probably because they don't want to believe it. Heh, she guesses that she does wear a mask, the mask of disbelief. Heh now she thinks about it, she never really gave Logan any grief about revealing her mutant status, then again, she can't really talk considering she gave Peter the identities of all the X-Men. Maybe she should keep that to herself, besides Peter won't tell, she's sure of it. He's a really loyal guy, it's one of the reasons why she likes him.
"You think he's keeping something from you," Jean asked
"I know he is, but hey I'm keeping things from him too. Whatever he's keeping from me, I'm sure I'll find out, I hope I'll find out. It's too early to get him to reveal all his secrets to me, for now I'm good. He hasn't stood me up on any of our dates, and he's always tried to do something a little extra to make it up to me. If whatever he is keeping from me becomes a problem then I'll deal with it," Kitty said getting a nod from Jean.
"Sounds like a good plan," Jean said, she sighed, "Still can't believe Logan set you up."
"I know, it's weird, I didn't think he cared enough to do that," Kitty said making Jean look at her.
"Didn't care enough, Kitty you don't think that," Jean said, she knows that this is just Kitty's bitterness talking. All she got in response was silence though, "Kitty, Logan cares for you. You and Rogue are two of the most important people in his life. No one comes before you," Jean defended Logan.
"I don't want to talk about this Jean," Kitty said, trying to end this discussion, she isn't ready for this. She's not sure she'll ever be ready, even though secretly, deep inside she wants to be.
Jean could see this and as they appear outside the War Room, she decides to drop it but not before saying one more thing, "Kitty," she said getting Kitty's attention on her, "You have always been the most important person in his life. No one is more important than you are, he loves you Kitty, he'd do anything to keep you safe and happy, and whether you admit it or not, you love him. He is your father Kitty, and you are his daughter. One day you will fix this, just don't let your stubbornness and pride get in the way, because the longer this goes on, the more pain you will feel."
Before Kitty could respond, the door opened for them, and Jean entered the room, Kitty followed seconds later, she could only hope that her words would give Kitty something to think about. Once they enter, they see the entire X-Men team sitting at the table with Logan standing at the front.
"Glad you two could join us," Logan said
"Sorry, but I had to get Kitty off the phone, she was talking to Peter," Jean said with a teasing smiling masking the serious talk that she had with the girl just outside the room. Kitty scowls at the comment which Jean did find amusing.
"Oh really," Kurt asked in a teasing tone, "Tell us Kitty vat did you two talk about? Perhaps your vedding date, zee location, zee names of your children," Kurt said smirking.
Kitty blushed at Kurt's accusations, "None of the above, we were just talking about how our mornings were going so far. Well at least until Jean interrupted us," Kitty responded
"Sorry about that," Jean said
Kitty shrugged, "It's cool, his break was almost over anyway, we would have had to hangup anyway so he could get to class," she said
"So, he's in school then," Hank asked curious as well.
"Yep, he's a real genius, he's majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in engineering," Kitty said proudly as she and Jean sat in their seats at the table. There are a lot of high paying jobs that Peter can get with those degrees, he could go into pharmaceuticals or even work at one of the big companies like Stark Industries, or he could be like Hank and do independent studies, he is just that smart. Yup, Kitty has a reason to be proud of her boyfriend.
"Biochemistry, I'd like to talk to him some day," Hank said
"He'd love that, he's a big fan of yours, read all your papers. He's really looking forward to your next paper," Kitty answered
Bobby scoffed, "Sounds like a nerd if you ask me," he said
You'd think that Kitty would disagree with Bobby and defend Peter, but she didn't, instead she smirked at Bobby, "Oh, he's a big one, but I always found nerds really hot," Kitty responded as she looked at Bobby victoriously, making his scowl deepen.
Before more could be said Logan interrupted, "Despite how entertaining this is, this is a briefing," he said quieting everyone, seeing that he now has everyone's attention Logan began the briefing. "Earlier I had a meeting with Chuck, if there was anything new, and he was able to give me something that we can work with."
"What did he say," Ororo asked
"According to Chuck we need to focus less on Apocalypse and more on his followers. If we can keep him from building his army then we may have a chance of keeping him from taking over the world," Logan said
"So, what, we keep him from recruiting? Where do we start with that," Scott asked
"We start with some old…acquaintances," Logan said
"Acquaintances," Forge asked
"And who are these acquaintances," Scott asked
"Some that some of us know better than others. You never met them slim, neither have Jean, Forge, Bobby, or Rogue. But Me, Kitty, Kurt, Ororo, and Piotr know them," Logan said
"Logan, who are you talking about," Ororo asked, she has a feeling that she knows, and she can't help but dread it.
"The Morlocks," Logan answered
"The Morlocks," Kitty, Kurt, and Ororo exclaimed
"Who are the Morlocks," Bobby asked questioningly
"The Morlocks are a group of mutants who live in New York's underground. They moved there believing themselves to be outcasts not just from the humans but mutants also," Kitty said
"Zey don't trust anyone outside zeir group, years ago zey kidnapped Angel so zeir leader could marry him," Kurt said
"And who is their leader," Scott asked
"Calisto, we went to save Angel, but got captured ourselves. Some of us got sick," Logan said
"Sick," Jean asked
"The Morlocks have a mutant that can make a person deathly ill, and I mean deathly. Piotr and I got infected. While the others were captured, I was found and taken care of by another Morlock," Kitty said, she shivered a little as she remembered her times with the Morlocks, and the one who took care of her. At first, she felt bad for misleading him but after their second meeting and what they did to her. There's just no forgiving that.
"It's only because of Half-Pint and Storm that we all got out ok," Logan said
"Do you sink zat zis is a good idea mein friend. Zee last time vee parted vith zee Morlocks, it vasn't on good terms," Kurt said
"I'm very aware of how we left the Morlocks," Logan said as he looked at the ones who were there.
"How did you leave them," Jean asked, she then felt various emotions, she could feel anger from Ororo, Kurt, and Logan although in Logan's case she can feel the want to kill. She also feels Kitty's emotions, they are probably the most intense, she can feel rage, sadness, hurt, and fear. She could also feel some conflicting emotions from them all except from Logan, she could feel a sense of triumph, and shame from Kurt and Ororo, Logan just feels triumph and satisfaction. Then there's Kitty who just feels gratitude, and relief, the relief of being here with them. Jean doesn't know what happened between her four teammates and the Morlocks but from what she's felt she knows that it had to be something big.
"Let's just say that there was a fight, and leave it at that," Ororo said getting nods from Logan, Kurt, and Kitty.
"Why did you fight them," Bobby asked curious.
"The Morlocks crossed a line that no one crosses," Logan said looking at Kitty which Jean noticed. So, it obviously had something to do with Kitty. But what?
"Why must we go to the Morlocks? What do they have to do with Apocalypse," Kitty asked
"According to Charles, Sinister has been sending his goons out and has been kidnapping the Morlocks, he experiments on them and makes them his soldiers," Logan said
"Why would they work for Sinister if they were kidnapped," Forge asked
"Some of the Morlocks are content with their lives in the sewers while others feel nothing but bitterness, anger, and hatred toward humanity for making them retreat there. There are many Morlocks who would love to go up top and cause havoc, make the humans feel what they feel every day," Ororo explained
"So, Sinister uses this anger to convince them to join him. Sounds like him, the manipulative bastard," Scott said
"Some of Apocalypse's top lieutenants are Morlocks. We've seen some of the powers that they have, could you imagine Sinister with that kind of power, especially when he makes his…modifications," Logan said, and the others had to give him that, the Morlocks are quite powerful.
"We have no choice do we," Kitty said getting a headshake from Logan causing her to sigh.
"Everyone get ready. Forge you're staying here to watch Tildie, make sure nothing happens," Logan said, silently saying make sure she doesn't destroy the mansion.
Forge nodded, "You can count on me," he said
"Alright everyone move. Ororo, I want you to hang back," Logan said
With that everyone got up and left the room, all except Ororo who walked up to Logan, "Please tell me this is about opening up the school again, because if it is this is quite an inappropriate time to talk about it," she said
"We'll discuss that another time, for now," Logan said
"I know what you are gonna say Logan and please don't ask that," Ororo said
"Ororo, you led those missions before, you once ruled them, and you're the one who has the most knowledge," Logan said
"Most knowledge, I barely acknowledged them until they did something stupid," Ororo retorted
"But you did learn their ways, besides you're the only one who can handle Calisto," Logan said
"You know she hates me; it would be better if you lead," Storm said
"You're kidding right? After what she did, I'd kill her, the others will probably be more focused on preventing me from killing anybody. You're better at keeping your cool, gonna need that other Storm to come out. You and I both know that it has to be you," Logan said making Ororo sigh.
"Fine, I'll do it, but I'm gonna need you to become what you were back then to. I know you've spent years being better, but right now, I think we may need a killer," Ororo said
"We're trying to save them, not kill them," Logan pointed out
"I'm aware, but they won't be welcoming toward us. They'll probably attack us, after what we did," Ororo said
"I don't regret anything. Do you," Logan asked
Ororo sighed, "I don't know, I've always been mixed about it. Sometimes I think that we may have been to…rough," she said
"They crossed a line Ororo," Logan said
"Calisto crossed a line," Ororo corrected
"And the Morlocks backed her, despite their customs, they attacked, so did we. Anyway, we're not talking about that," Logan said
Ororo sighed, "Fine, I'll lead this mission, but I don't want Kitty part of it," she said
"No arguments here," Logan said
What neither knew was that Kitty was listening to the entire thing and she didn't like what she just heard, "Like hell," Kitty said, as she stepped back in the room getting Logan and Ororo's attention.
"Kitten," Ororo said
"I'm not staying behind," Kitty said
"It's too dangerous kid," Logan said
"I don't care, I'm going," Kitty said
"After what they did to you, Kitty you said that you never wanted to see them again," Ororo reminded
"I know, but…," Kitty said as she then thinks about Peter and wonders what happened to him in the future, she really likes him, the thought of what happened to him in that future scares her. If she prevents the future then she protects Peter, and if the only way to do that is facing the Morlocks, then she'll do it, "If facing them means preventing the apocalypse then I'll do it. I'm going, you're welcome to stop me."
Logan chuckled, "I've been training her for a week, and she thinks that she's invincible," Logan commented, "Always admired that stubbornness kid, but this isn't my show, it's Storm's."
Ororo looked at Kitty studying her, she would rather Kitty not go, so would Logan, Kurt, and if Piotr were here, he'd back them. What the Morlocks did to her, what they put her through was traumatizing. Seeing Kitty's face, she could see fear, fear of going through that again, but she also saw determination, the same determination that has gotten them out of many jams over the years. She won't let this go, and they really don't have anywhere they could hold her till the mission is done. Sighing in defeat, Ororo looked at Kitty, "Stick close, don't do anything stupid, and you can come," she said making Kitty smile.
"Awesome, I'll go get changed," Kitty said, she then left the room leaving Ororo and Logan in the room.
Logan and Ororo looked at each other, "Any of them try anything…," Ororo said
"I'll kill them," Logan said, with that Logan walks out of the War Room, leaving Ororo behind to think everything over before she herself leaves to get ready.
Later, in the hanger
The X-Men who were all wearing their uniforms, except for Scott and Jean who had new uniforms on (They are wearing their X-Men: The Animated series uniforms), theywere all in the hanger, all except for one person, Kitty. Most of them were wondering where she was, all except Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Jean-X who could feel the fear from her and how she is trying to push it down. "Where is she," Cyclops asked
"She's coming, I can feel her," Jean-X said
As they waited, Storm was tempted to just leave without Kitty, and keep her here where she is safe. But she knew that some things never change, and Kitty's stubbornness is one of them. She would find a way, she always does. Better for them to arrive together than separately.
Just then Shadowcat enters the hanger and walks up to the group, "Sorry it took so long, I had to take care of something," Shadowcat said
"And what was so important that needed taking care of now," Cyclops asked wanting to know.
"Doesn't matter," Storm interrupted relieving Shadowcat, "Kitty's hear now, that's all that matters."
Wolverine then stepped up, "Before we go, I want to let everyone know, that for the duration of this mission, Storm is the leader," he said, surprising the X-Men.
"Logan are you serious," Cyclops asked getting a nod from Wolverine.
"Storm led the missions that involved the Morlocks and she's the most knowledgeable," Wolverine explained
"Zat makes sense," Nightcrawler said
Storm then stepped up, "Any objections," she asked, getting silence in return, "Alright then, everyone in the X-Wing." With that the X-Men entered the jet and took off heading to New York City.
Later, in New York City
The X-Wing which is now in New York City's airspace had headed over to one of the buildings closest to the one of the entrances to the Morlocks homes, an abandoned subway, this way no one gets in the way.
In the X-Wing, sitting in the pilot seats are Beast and Cyclops with Storm standing in between, "Set it down," Storm ordered with that, Beast and Cyclops landed the X-Wing on the roof. After that the X-Men exited their jet, they the descended the building, Nightcrawler teleported Wolverine, Iceman, and Rogue. Jean-X levitated she and Cyclops to the ground, Storm flew down the ground herself while Shadowcat figuring how long it has been since she has used her powers this way has walked down to the ground, her steps the air itself. The X-Men walked toward the entrance and saw it boarded up.
"Looks like zey repaired it from zee last time you destroyed it Wolverine," Nightcrawler said
"I'd be happy to destroy it again," Wolverine said popping his claws.
"No, let's take the subtle approach," Storm said, she then looked at Shadowcat, "Shadowcat."
Taking a deep breath Shadowcat nodded, "Everyone hold hands," she said, her teammates doing as she says, hold hands. Taking another breath Shadowcat activated her powers and the X-Men phased through the ground and entered the subway.
"Good job Shadowcat now let's get moving," Storm said, the X-Men then all jumped down onto the tracks and walked down the tunnel with Storm leading the way. The order of the X-men was as follows, Strom in the front, Cyclops next to her, Shadowcat behind Storm, Nightcrawler to Shadowcat's left, Wolverine to Shadowcat's right, Iceman was next to Wolverine, Rogue-X next to Nightcrawler, and Jean-X and Beast were in the rear.
As they walked Jean-X can't help but notice how Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Storm have surrounded Shadowcat, as if they were her shields or something. They were also on edge as if they were waiting for an attack, Wolverine has his claws out, Nightcrawler looks ready to teleport at a moment's notice, and Storm's fingers are twitching as if she is getting ready to throw lightning. This all has Jean-X curious, were the Morlocks so hostile and dangerous that her three teammates are ready to fight at a moment's notice. Jean then decides to take a look at the X-Men's youngest member and she of all is the tensest, Jean-X isn't sure if Shadowcat is ready to fight or run away. This puts Jean-X on edge, Shadowcat isn't one to be scared easily, ever since her training with Wolverine she has been one of the most confident on the team, that's because she had the skills to back up that confidence. But right now, Jean-X doesn't feel that confidence, what she feels is fear and anxiety. Before Jean-X could think more about this, the X-Men come upon a door.
Storm stops in front of the door stopping the group, "This is it, the entrance to the Morlocks domain. When we go through this door, we're in their territory, that means we must be cautious," she said
"They probably already know that we're here," Shadowcat said
"Why do you say that," Cyclops said
"Because, they have a mutant whose powers are sensing other mutants, and he can differentiate the mutants to," Shadowcat said
"So, he's a living Cerebro, maybe we should recruit him," Iceman said
"NO," Shadowcat snapped surprising everyone but, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Storm, "No, he's fine where he is." 'The farther away from me the better.'
Jean-X heard that thought and filed it away, it was as if she had pieces of a puzzle that she just had to put together.
"Jean," Storm said getting Jean-X's attention, "I want you to scan below us, check if there are any minds. The first time we ran into the Morlocks they caught us off guard. Let's not let that happen again."
Nodding Jean-X focused her powers and sensed around only to come up with nothing, "Nothing, there is no one below us," Jean-X reported
Storm nodded, "Let's not take any chance. Wolverine, keep your senses up, I don't care how small, you sense something I want to know. I also want everyone to remain in contact, that way we can use Nightcrawler or Shadowcat for escape," she said, Storm then opened the door to show steps, "We'll go as follow, me, Cyclops Wolverine, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, Rogue, Beast, Jean, and Iceman.
"Why am I in the back, how about putting me closer to Kitty," Iceman said
"First off, no real names in the field, second this is a mission Iceman, not a chance for you to try and win Shadowcat's affection," Storm said silencing Iceman, "You're in the back so you can defend us with your ice-shields in case someone tries to attack from behind. Now if everyone is ready," Storm asked looking at Shadowcat once she asked the question only to get an uncertain look, but a nod as well. With that Storm walked through the door, soon followed be the rest of the X-Men.
Sewers
The X-Men were all walking down the stairs each of them staying vigilant, ready to act at a moment's notice. Eventually they made down the stairs, "Wolverine sense anyone nearby," Storm asked
Wolverine using his enhances senses listened and sniffed around which gave him a foul odor, "Nothing, but I would suggest caution. It's been years since we last seen the Morlocks, they may have some new members who can counter us," Wolverine said
Storm nodded her head, "Right, everyone, stay on guard, and be ready for anything," Storm said as they continued to walk through the tunnels in the formation that they were in in the subway.
"So, do you guys think that giant alligators actually live in the New York sewers, because that is something that I'm gonna watch out for," Iceman said as he watched the sewer water cautiously.
Shadowcat rolled her eyes at that, "There are no alligators in the sewers, now giant lizards maybe, but not alligators," she said
"Giant lizards," Rogue-X asked
"Yeah, you know, the Lizard, he's one of Spider-Man's villains. He made an appearance a couple years ago. I heard that he liked to use the sewers as a base of operation," Shadowcat informed making Rogue sigh.
"You would find a way to bring Spider-Man up wouldn't ya," Rogue said
"What? What's wrong with talking about Spider-Man? Besides it was related to the topic of conversation," Shadowcat said
"I wish I didn't bring it up," Iceman muttered, he hates it when Kitty talks about Spider-Man, how she gets all fangirl about it, and you can't even say anything negative about the guy or Kitty will rip you a new one.
Logan can't help but smirk as Kitty starts to talk about Spider-Man, he's certainly looking forward to the day that she discovers that she's been dating the guy. He certainly hopes that he'll be there when she finds out, it will certainly be a laugh. Suddenly Wolverine smells something, or someone, one person, no two, three, four, five, six, it keeps increasing, "They're here," Wolverine informed Storm, getting a nod from her. Just then multiple disfigured people jump from the ceiling, and shadows, surrounding the X-Men on all sides. The group ready to attack.
The X-Men who are ready to defend themselves look at the group, "So, I'm guessing that these are the Morlocks," Cyclops asked
"You guessed right slim," Wolverine said as he crossed his claws in an X.
"What happened to them," Jean-X asked as she noticed that some were disfigured.
"Yeah, they are ug…ly," Iceman said
"Iceman," Beast reprimanded
"Zey have anozer mutant whose powers is to alter a person's shape, ven someone joined the Morlocks, he vould alter zem, and made zem look like this," Nightcrawler said gesturing toward the disfigured mutants. Kitty herself shivered at that and Jean-X sensed a spike of fear come through the girl.
Ignoring her teammates talking, Storm steps up, "We wish to speak to Calisto, take us to her," she said
"There's no need for that Storm," a woman's voice said from the crowd, a path was then formed and through the path another mutant walked until she was in front of her group, "You are not welcome her X-Men," Calisto said
