After Arc 7, Subaru is back to celebrate a party of peace between the kingdoms of the world, pushed by Vollachia and Lugunica to keep the peace. But the camp he gets back to is not at peace with him it seemed. As Anastasia investigates and figures that there was a real effort by Subaru to leave his camp, or the camp itself were pushing him away from them... Charity will fix this.

Pandora achieved her goal. She convinced Emilia to open the seal! The result of such a victory, however, was something that she never could have imagined.

Emilia gets the flu. Subaru is determined to nurse the half elf back to full health.

During the brief respite between arcs 2 and 3, Roswaal decides to hire more staff to care for the mansion. However, shortly after they arrive, strange things start happening around the manor, objects moving around, cloaked figures roaming the halls, messages written in blood appearing on the walls, and worst of all... Subaru can't remember what's been killing him.

This will be a fic where Subaru, having not experienced Arc 6 or Arc 7's identity-affirming events, begins to doubt himself and his feelings after finally reaching the natural end of the ReZero storyline. (Posted version of my submission to a discord writing contest.)
