Capture The Flag (1st Person Perspective) Oliver

My feet felt light, like they were nothing but air. I blew through the forest soaring past the river landing in front of a pair of Ares Children. One reacted faster than the other and lunged at me with their sword, front flipping past the attack I planted my legs on the his back and propelled him down while launching me up in the air. Gaining control of myself midair I launched a ball of Ki at another Area child making him dodge the attack.

"Hah! You missed!" He said grinning.

Landing in front of him, I sidestepped his attack and gut punched him. I grabbed his arm and threw him in the air.

"Who said I missed?" I controlled the Ki ball back hitting the Ares child plummeting him back to the floor unconscious.

I looked down and saw that the Ares Child that I knocked to the floor was getting up, swinging my arm down I chopped his neck knocking him out as well.

With that done I saw a bunch of Hermes children coming through the river behind me shocked of my accomplishment. Finally Luke came out of the forest and saw my work and he stood there impressed with my accomplishment, he looked at me like how Annabeth did, recruiting me for her team in capture the flag but with something else that I couldn't pinpoint, I ended up brushing it off.

"Hey! What are you all waiting for? Go get that flag!" They hurried across the river, laughing Luke followed them to the forest.

I was about to follow them too until I heard a commotion by the river, I saw a squad of Ares Children surrounding what looks like a beat up Percy. A pissed off Clarisse with a spear split in half in front of him. I dashed across the river and kicked Clarisse away.

"Hey Percy isn't your target, our flag is." I said getting in front of Percy. Sensing an attack from behind I pushed Percy back and dodged the blow.

"Tch, barely missed him. You won't get so lucky this time weirdo!" I recognized that this is one of the Ares girl that I beat up during the initiation ceremony.

All four of them jumped towards us swinging their weapons down onto me and Percy. Reacting I creating a shockwave to send them off course making them launch backwards.

I picked up a sword and gave it to Percy assuming that it was his. I rushed and quickly punched one in the face and swept their leg, finishing them off with a punch to the head, I spun and blocked a blow from another kid. Channeling two Ki blast I hurled the first one, at the kid but she dodged causing the Ki blast to hit a tree nearby. I dodged her swings the best I could, I started getting tired so I knew I had to finish this quickly. After ducking a wide swing toward my chest, I pushed my Ki ball into her chest launched her back.

Turning around I saw Percy struggled as he tried to hold off two of them. Making a mad dash toward them I kicked one away giving Percy an edge on the other Ares kid.

"Tch! You'll pay for that asshole!" The brown haired kid got up, pissed off that I ruined his fun beating up Percy.

"Yeah. Right." I decided that my approach was making me tired, so I took a defensive stance to regain my stamina.

Brownie rushed towards me but I was prepared, I tried to copy a boxing technique that I once saw in a show, two jabs to his face duck under the counterattack and uppercut him to hell, knocking the brown kid unconscious.

Taking a breather I turned around to see Percy taking down his foe and saw Clarisse about to swing on him with her fist. Unfortunately I couldn't stop her in time, which meant that Percy took a mean hit on the head dropping down to the river water. With the remaining energy I had left I shot out a Ki blast toward her. It hit her but only gained her attention over to me.

"Your next weirdo!" She approached me and I saw Percy get up and tackle her down.

Thinking fast I grabbed one of the Ares children's weapon and pointed at her.

"Rah! Cheater! Both of you were cheating!" She said her face turning a few shades of red.

At a distance I heard panting through Clarisse's angry insults and saw that Percy was out of breath, which made me realize that if I hadn't trained myself then Percy would be in big trouble. Maybe the creep talking to me really was helping me out.

"Hey I heard that!" said the Mysterious Figure.

Scratching my ear I turned to Percy on the grass and held a hand out. Seeing this gesture, he grabbed my hand and I pulled him up.

"Sheesh, they sure did a number on you didn't they?" I said grinning.

Sighing Percy said "Tell me about it." While I waiting for Percy to catch his breath I realized that we weren't alone in these woods. I can sense another presence near us but couldn't pinpoint where exactly.

"You! Show yourself!" I yelled confusing Percy.

We heard rustling behind us and we both turned around ready for a fight. But who we saw surprised us. Appearing from nothing Annabeth showed up unexpectedly.

"How..how did you just do that?" Percy asked, looking at her with awe.

"Hmmph, I only used a gift that my mother gave me." Annebeth said showing us her cap.

I wanted to question more about her cap, especially on how it blocked my Ki sensing but then we all heard cheers from across the river, turning my head I saw Luke running with a flag cheering the whole way through.

1st Person Perspective (Jake)

How did this happen? Why was I holding my father's bloody body, why was there monsters attacking us? I looked down to my father, barely breathing.

"Jake, listen to me."

"Father! Save your energy I'll get you to the hospital!"

"No Jake it's too late for that, please do something for me..."

I started crying tears falling onto my father's face. My father looked at me and wiped my tears away.

"Listen, Jake I need you to go in the basement."

As he said that he gave me a key, likely for the basement.

"Your mother and I have been hiding something important from you and Oliver, we never hoped you would have to find out but considering the circumstances. Your survival is more important."

My father standing up with my help, pushed me toward the stairs of our house.

"Go Jake, I'll hold them off. Tell Oliver I love him for me woulda ya?"

I didn't want to leave him, but my father was always right, he wouldn't make it. He wouldn't survive with those injuries. My body moved on its own, guiding me towards the basement.

I approached the basement door, it was metallic and it had an opposing aura whenever I looked at it. Trying to ignore the howls upstairs, I unlocked the door and ran in locking the door back up.

Catching my breath, I looked at the room. Sat alone was another door close to it was two backpacks and a table with a book on top. Walking closer to the table I opened the book, two letters sat inside.

"Hello Jake, Oliver this is your mother. I have been diagnosed with an incurable disease and I don't have much time left. I want to tell you I love you both so so much. And if I could pinch those chubby cheeks of yours again I would."

I laughed and almost felt the phantom pain of my mom pinching me on my cheek. I continued reading my mom's letter.

"If you are reading this, then that means the something bad has happened to us. But I know both of you can take the world on side by side no matter the circumstances. So stand strong and proud, you're not apart of the Nel family if you're just going to be scared all your life! Remember I will always love you both no matter what happens. -Mom"

I looked at my Dad's letter and decided to save it for later, I know Oliver is out there. I will read this with him. I started thinking of our peaceful family, our normal life. And how it went downhill, I tried meditating but my anger kept pulling me back, I felt the small warmth in my chest become hotter and hotter, my veins bulging as my anger grew.

I looked up and heard scratching at the door, I turned around a grabbed the book and my father's letter and put it in to one of the backpacks swiftly grabbing both of them I ran out of the other door, hoping it would guide me away from these monsters.

'I will find you Olie! Even if it kills me!' Determination in my eyes I ran, the warmth in my chest getting stronger and stronger.

AN: Hello everyone! Sorry for not posting for like 4 months, I know a pretty long time. I'm actually been really busy lately and unfortunately won't be able to post for a while. Just expect the next chapter to talk just as long as this one. I also want to tell you all that I only write my FanFics as a hobby, so I only start writing when I get free time or really bored. Also thanks for the info in the reviews but it's a Fanfic, and to make everything not complicated I'm just going to stick with my premise of the story so far. But I do gotta admit I am a very big newbie when it comes to Percy and the Olympians. So sorry if I don't get everyone's personality correctly. But anyways have a good day/night!
