Now that they were inside, one could see the entire facility was a whole base. As the four figures revealed themselves to the shadows in the form of four humanoid teenage turtles with colored masks on their faces, it was Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, defenders of New York.
"Alright ninja's here is the plan!" Leo stated to his brothers "We find out what Shredder is up to this time, bust through whatever crazy plan he has and get out of here pronto. Got it?"
"Sounds easy enough." Raph responded "I mean with the Kraang now gone, we can probably take on whatever Shredhead got in store for us right?"
"May I remember you Raph, that even though Shredder isn't clearly as planet level threatening as the Kraangs. He is still pose as a major threat to our collective shells and he still quite deadly." Donnie reminded his elder brother.
"Hey, he did kind of keep it on the down low during the Kraang invasion. So I wouldn't worry too much about it." Raph said as he crossed his arms.
"Yeah, let's kick some Foot butt so we can go back to our Crognard marathon!" Mikey declared.
"Hey, focus guys! Besides I already called dibs on Space Heroes marathon Mikey." Leo smirked.
"Oh Snap!"
And so the turtles pursue their infiltration. Making their way deeper and deeper into the lair and stiking to the shadows to avoid getting spot. They finally managed to reach a large chamber and stuck to the ceiling beams to keep their cover, when they looked down into the chamber they saw a certain familiar device guarded by several Foot Bots.
"Okay so call me crazy dudes, but isn't that the weird portal machine that Leatherhead went through with Traag back at the TCRI?" Mikey asked gesturing toward said device.
"Yes...Yes it is Mikey! They must have been draging that back from the TCRI after the Kraang invation, but what use could they have for it?" Donnie wondered.
"Well why don't you ask them down here?" Raph pointed to a group of certain mutants the turtles were all too familiar with.
"Oh great..." Leo dreaded.
Standing near the portal, was a skeletal werewolf like creature and a certain crimson-red-carp-like fish with a pair of silver-colored-high-powered metallic legs. Those two were Chris Bradford and Xever Montes two high-ranking members of the foot who were previously human with Bradford being a very skilled and quite well known martial arts celebrity, with his own line of dōjōs. By night, however, he operated as a ninja under the Shredder's employ and Xever being a crime boss of the Brazilian mob in New York City and leader of the Purple Dragon, there they stood rather impatiatly near a certain Mutant Fly who typing on a console trying to work the portal out was the scientist Baxter Stockman, turned agaisnt his will into a mutant fly by Shredder.
"Will you hurry up now Stickmen?" the mutant dog barked at the fly "Master Shredder is waiting for results."
"And you know how quick his patience can wear thin right?" the mutant fish added while twirling a butterfly knive in his hand. "That's how you turned out the way you are remember?"
"Nooo need to tell me twwizze Xever!" the fly responded as he still tapped on the computer "But obviouzzly working out the kickzzz of this kraang technology is way more complicated than I thought it would be."
The wolf mutant then slammed the fly's head on the computer growling in iritation "Then keep working your buzzy head on it! Or that's all you'll be if that portal doesn't work!"
"R-Right Bradford..." Stockman whimpered.
"Holy Macarony! They want to activate the portal again!" Mikey exclaimed a little outloud which his brothers immidiately shut him up by grapping his face.
"Yeah, but what for exactly? I know Shredder's been working with the Kraang since the Technodrome and the invasion but the Kraang have been send back to their home, their hasn't been that much activity between them." Donnie wondered while still holding his hand in his brother mouth.
"Whatever it is it can't be good, so let's listen to what those freaks have in store." Raph suggested.
"Ever since the turtles kicked the Kraang back to their home dimension, things have started to get south for us!" Rahzard explained "All of our forces are nearly decimated, the new Foot Bots are taking way too long to be completed and Karai went rogue on us once again so if you do not hurry in getting this thing working, the turtles will be on our collective tail and put us in a way more complicated situation and Shredder will be in a way more sour mood than he is right now and that will do us no favor."
"Don't worry now Brrradford!" the Mutant Fly declared "Onzze I managed to make thizzz portal work, we shall retrieve powerfull forces from across dimensions. In fact, I heard of a certain world that the Kraang were plaining to invade."
"Oh?" Xever raised a brow in interest at this information "And did they?"
"No, apparently this dimension was filled with pretty powerful warriors that even the Kraang didn't dare to mezzz with. Zzzomething about them to have incredible powers at their fingertips." Stockman explained.
"Interesting, perhaps we could probably recrute one of those inhabitants to join our forces in our fight to defeat the turtles. That could even the odds." Bradford pondered which made the mutant fish scoffed.
"Please! Who would be desperate enough to join the Foot in some quest to kill teenage turtles and some old rat?" That got on the mutant dog's nerve.
"You really don't understand the honor who is at stake don't you know Xever?!"
As the two mutant argue at each other, the turtles procede what they just heard.
"Opening a portal, to some dimension to recruit powerfull warrior that even the Kraang fear. I know desperate time call for desperate mesures but this just takes the cake." Raph stated.
"Even then we can't just let them open a portal to who knows whatever world they planned to go. Imagine the consequences that could happen?" Donnie stated. "Or the kind of monsters they could bring.
"Giant Muscular Unicorn Man!" Mikey guessed in his usual child-like mindset, imagining a giant creature like unicorn-man rampaging through the streets of New York while holding Leo and Donnie like ragdolls with cross on their eyes.
"HA!" Raph gave a quick laugh at that before turning to his younger brother with a serious expression "You're not kidding are you?"
"Whatever it can be, we can't just let them do as they pleased." Leo stated as he drew his katanas "We don't want another incident on a same or worse scale as the Kraang invasion. So let's put a stop to this!" his brothers in turn draw their respepective weapons and jumped off their hiding spots ready to fight "BOOYAKASHA!" Mikey shouted his favorite catchphrase.
The two Shreder's goons turned around and scolded when they saw their four persistant nemesies jumping down from their hiding spots.
"The Tartarugas!" Xever shouted in his native language "Truly not the best of times!"
"When isn't it the best time to kick your mermaid butt Fishface?" Mikey cracked calling the mutant by his little nickname he gave him him much to the mutant fish displeasure.
"DO NOT CALL ME THAT! IT'S XEVER, SI? XEVER!"
"Stockman! Hurry up with that portal already!" Rahzar barked to the mutant fly who in panick tapped faster on the keyboard.
"I'm working as fazzzt as I can!" Stockman exclaimed.
"Donnie! You and Mikey go stop Stockman! Me and Raph will handle Rahzar and Fishface!" Leo ordered.
"On it!" Donnie nodded.
"Well if isn't my favorite sushi that came to deliver itself!" Raph grinned while twirling his sais.
"I'm gonna tear you appart Raphael and then feed you to my piranhas!" Fishface declared as he took out his balisword and started clashing his weapon against the red clad turtle while Leo handle Rahzar.
"So Bradford, we are too much for you know? Need to call backup from other dimensions?" Leo questionned as he locked his blades against the large mutant dog's claws.
"Don't flatter yourself Leonardo!" Rahzar responded as he attempt to bite down on the turtle with his large down, forcing Leo to to step back.
"You don't know what kind of force you're playing with! Imaging what kind of creep you could summon up with that portal!" Leo warned as he ducked to avoid claw swipe from Rahzar's left claw and blocking his right claw with both of his.
"If it means to the Shredder that it could end you lot then it will be worth it!" Rahzar barked back.
"Seriously, have you ever learned to think for yourself? You really are Shredder's dog after all!" Leo shouted back with a little bit of snark in his tone.
"DO NOT CALL ME DOG!" Bradford roared as he shoot his deadly claws at the leader of the turtles who managed to dodge them swifly.
"As you wish Rahzar." Leo tautend with a grin as the mutant dog was sightly tinked off at being called like that, he then jumped at him with a roar.
While their brothers were handling the two mutants, Donnie and Mikey were making throught the hords of Foot-Bots that block their way to Stockman with a swirling portal starting to grow out of the center of the machine, with Mikey bashing each and everyone of them with his trusty nunchuks and Donnie batting any that he came close to with his bo staff.
"Your gig is up Dexter Spackman!" Mikey declared as he twirlerd his chuks, which hit a sensible nerve to the scientist who slammed his pincers and hand on the console.
"It's Baxter Zzzztock-" However he didn't have time to correct the younger turtle as he was hit with a kick from the latter, Mikey then grapped his head in a deadlock before the mutant fly took off in the sky with a screaming Mikey.
"While that be good enough for a distraction D.?!" Mikey asked as Stockman try to shook him off.
"It's good Mikey, really good! Keep him steady!"
"I feel my breakfast coming up... BURP! That's it no more Chocolate-Peperony Pizza before bed again!"
Donnie took a glance at the concole and then at the portal, that had him wondering "Wait...How do you even managed to make that thing worked without a proper power cell?" the purple-clad turtle glanced at the center of the portal and found indeed one power cell with a crystal in it, only this one seemed odd, it was constantly switching between white, blue, green and red. Not like the one their mutant friend Leatherhead gave them.
"I-I don't believe it." Donnie gasped "W-where did you find that kind of crystal?!"
"You don't know the kind of toys the Kraang left at the TCRI! A true mine gold if I do say so myself." Fishface gloated as clashed his sword against Raph's sais. While struggling a bit. Raph finally mash to break out of it by landing a headbutt on the fish.
"Just take it away Donnie!" Raph shouted.
"I can't! If I do that it will make the portal unstable and this entire location EXPLODED INTO A MILLION PIECIES!" Donnie shouted back. "I need to do it manually."
"Then make it quick!" Leo ordered as he kept dodging Rahzar's strike.
And as so, Donnie began to tap on the keyboard trying to reverse the portal, the tension was high, Mikey was handling Stockman in the air trying to keep him from the portal, Raph was clashing furiously agaisnt Xever and Leo was still against Rhazar with their swords and claws clashing against each other. Donnie sweat a bit, there were probably more Foot Bots coming. He couldn't fail now, lives were at stake, his master life was at stake, his brothers and sister lives were at stake, April life was at stake! Until finally he finished typing and managed to close the portal.
Donnie swept some sweat from his forehead as he sighed "Well guys, I am relieved to say that the crisis has been contained!"
"BOOYAKASHAAA!" Until like an airplane, Mikey crashed along with Stockman right on the computer, destroying it in the process which caused Donnie's puppils to go as wide as dinners plates.
"Take that you disgusing bug!" screamed Mikey as he slammed the fly's head multiple time on the remainings of the computer before throwing him on the other side of the room.
"My work here is done!" Mikey dusted off his hand looking all proud of hismelf while Donnie still in his shock state, twitch his left eye just sightly.
"Mikey..."
"Mh-hm?"
"HAVE YOU LOST YOUR SHELL?!"
"What? I just saved your back Donnie your welcome btw." Mikey argue back.
"Do you realize what you just did?!" Donnie shouted "You just destroyed the computer while it was on a middle of closing, which means if you're tiny little brain can comprehend-" However he was interupted when a light sparkling sound came from the portal, ever so slowly they turned their heads toward the device who was sparkling from white, blue, green and red lightning.
"Uh-oh..." Mikey voiced down "I messed up didn't I?"
"You don't say..." Donnie managed to murtured.
Then a giant portal suddenly sparked out of existence causing everyone in the room to cover their eyes from the brightness of it.
"Donnie!" screamed Raph "I thought you were supposed to shut down that thing!"
"I did! Until a certain someone came crashing into it like a bull!" Donnie glare daggers at Mikey.
"I'm sorry okay?" Mikey desperatly appologised.
"This is not good." Leo muttered until from the corner of his eye he saw a small pen rolling itself on the ground before flying off to the portal and being suck into it, putting two and two together he understood and his eyes shook in fear "This not good at all! Fall back!" he ordered as he along with his brother ran toward the exist much to the confusion of Rhazar.
"Huh? What are they-" he stopped when he feel he was being pulled out of thin air, draw to the portal which made him grapped the concrete floor with his claws. It unfortunately didn't last long as the force of attraction was too strong for him as he was sent flying toward the portal, he screamed as he grapped the tail of his fishy partner who managed to hold on with the claws on his legs but did have trouble trying to still hold on now.
"Will you get your sticking claws of me, you damn dog?!" Fishface ordered as he kicked Rhazar away sending the latter screaming as he was being sucked inside the portal, however as the fish lost his footing because of it he was being sent inside it along as well; Rahzar and Fishface were gone to who knows where.
For the turtles they tried to desperatly run for their lives, hopping to get as far as away from the portal as they could.
"Alright! You messed up big time Mikey." Raph scolded.
"Hey, I was caught in the heat of the moment dude! You know how it feels like right?" Mikey argue back causing Raph eyes to burn in anger at the comment, referesing to his usual temper.
"Less arguing more fleeing!" Leo commended as he turned to his purple-clad brother "Donnie, you think the damage it will caused will be big?"
"Well if we managed to at least get out before it explode I said we would be f-LOOK OUT!" Donnie suddenly warned as he point to the various box of containers and debries flying toward because of the portal creation. Thanks to their agility and sharp reflexes due to their ninja training they managed most of it. Empathis on most, as Mikey was suddenly hit by an incomming crow bar. Much to his brothers shock as they turned to see their youngest brother being draw to the portal.
"MIKEY!" they all shouted in worry as they ran toward him not carring if the portal would take them too.
Donnie managed to get close and grapped his brother hand preveting him from going any further despite being a few feets away from the portal "I got you now Mikey!"
"Please don't let go D!" Mikey screamed in worry but as he just said so Donnie feel all the weight in his body go as he was draw to the portal at his turn.
However before he could go any further, Raph grapped him by the waist trying to maintain the two of his brothers on the ground. "Oh no you don't." But it prove to be in vain as he was too being pulled by it soon enough.
"Guys!" Leo shouted in worry as he made his way toward the portal!
"Leo!" Raph screamed back as he extended his hand toward his older brother only to be pulled inside the portal along with Donnie and Mikey. Never to be seen again...
At that Leo eyes went wide and his breathing became heavy, it was his worse fear coming to life; His team, his brothers being dragged off to darkness and him being powerless to help, with nothing left to loose and determination he decide to jump into the portal letting himself being carried by it.
When Stockman finally came back to his senses, he finally noticed the mess that happened in the place, the huge portal, the flying debris and no sign of Bradford and Xever or even the Turtles in sight. He grapped his head in fright wishing all of this to stop already.
Until the main source of power of the portal, the power cell glow brighter and brighter until he cracked his glass container open. Causing all systems to finally shut down, as the portal grew smaller and smaller and the objects to fall on the ground.
The mutant fly finally lifted his head, relieved that the crissis is over. However he couldn't help but gulped at the consequence of what transpired here.
"Mazzzter Shredder izzzz not going to like thizzz..."
Out in a swirling vortex, the turtles were falling through an endless abyss of bright colors who could be seen from the outside. But honestly right at the moment they couldn't be bother by any of that, they were more buzy screaming their lungs out at the moment. As they were throwing themselves from side to side, even Donnie couldn't think this through as the brothers were throw across space and time, that is until the vortex slwoly dissolved, revealing a forest of some kind directly underneath the falling ninjas. Leonardo last thoughts before he and the others crashed painfully to the ground was how this was probably going to hurt.
It did. A Lot. With that, Leo lost consciouness.
Leo heard a loud ringing in his head as his eyes slowly opened. He coudn't exactly figure out how long he has been out as he didn't have a clear view on where he was. Leo groaned a bit as he pulled himslef up from what he could feel was a grassy ground as his vision cleared out.
He rubbed the back of his shell, mostly thaks to the hard landing he got, but he didn't seem to have any serious wound he got, which he was thankfull for.
Now taking a look at the surroundings he seemed to be in some kind of forest evident by the huge trees and plants around him and it currently seemed to be day time, probably afternoon as the sun seemed to slowly setting down
Then the fact that he was alone in that forest registered in his mind, and his eyes widened behind his blue mask. "The others..." he whispered frantically, looking around for any sign of his brothers. "Where're the others?!"
But as he turned behind, he breath the most biggest sigh of relief. Raph, Donnie and Mikey were all there spreading on the ground while sleeping soundly, but there were here safe and sound. Leo had to shook his head in amusement when he saw Mikey hugging a rock like it was a pillow. Maybe it was time to wake them up.
"All right ninjas! Wake up!" Leo ordered with a smile as they all slowly stifered from their sleep and slowly rise up while holding their heads but Mikey was still sleeping.
"Is it morning already?"
"Could someone give me the number of that bus?"
"Five more minutes..." Only for Raph to kick him to get up "HA! I'm up! I'm up!"
"Well that cross-dimensional portal really did a number on us." Donnie sighed as he rubbed his head.
"Cross what-now?" Mikey wondered.
"A rift that separate one realm to another."
He blinked.
"A pathway to a complete different realm."
Still blinking.
"It's like a door but magic! There! Are you happy now?!" Donnie finally gave out in simplisitic terms.
"Oh! Okay like magic! Now I get it!" Mikey nodded which made Donnie groaned in annoyance.
"Well Leo, where the heck are we anyway?" Raph questionned as he took a look around.
"I dunno, I just woke up minutes ago in fact." Leo anwsered.
As he took a minute to take a look around, Donnie for his part took out his T-Phone, hopping to use his GPS however "No signal." he sighed "I guess I should have seen it coming."
"Yo guys! You know if Rahzar and Fishface are around?" Mikey questionned.
"Beats me, they probably haven't been sent in the same dimension as us for all we know." Leo theorized.
"I'll say good ridance, they probably won't be missed not even from the Shredder." Raph snapped.
"In any case we need to find a way to get back to our dimension." Donnie suggested while his orange-clad brother noticed something from the distance. "Maybe the locals could help us."
"How come? We don't even know if they invented toothbrush yet in here." Raph argue.
"Settle down Raph." Leo stated "Master Splinter always say, that if we ever encounter a challenge that seems impossible, we must look at it in every possible angles.
"Yo Dudes!" the three brothers turned to Mikey who was standingon a cliff pointing to a nearby large town who was circling with wooden gates and barriers. However what was alarming was that smoke was coming out of it. "Smoke!" Yes I just said that Mikey...
"Oh no, those people sounds like they're in trouble." Donnie dreaded.
"Alright guys, let's help this people out! This way we might also have a clue on where we actually landed." Leo prioritized as he took his katanas.
"Well can't argue with that logic." Raph agreed as he put his sais over his shoulder.
"Alright! Turtle to the rescue!" Mikey declared as they all jumped from the cliff heading their toward the besieged town.
