An: I know the name Padmé's body double has is Sabé, but I'm going to give this one a different name in order to make the oc herself and the fanfic distinct.

Sola Typhe watched the two Jedi before they sped off into the distance through her mistresses' shattered window. "Damn Jedi."

"Indeed." A startled Padmé Amidala clutched the bedsheets to her chest.

"Come on, mistress. I started some bath water for you. I had a feeling something was off and that you'd want to be clean heading forward." Sola helped Padmé and even entered the bathroom first, checking each crack for more worms. Then she stood by while her lady cleaned up and thought of how they'd gotten here.

Sola had woken in the middle of the night, swearing she had heard her mistress call out. Whether in nightmare or something else...So she made up a bath and went to see. The worms were...there. She had screamed and the two Jedi burst in, one straddling the mistress and the other going right out the window after a drone floating there that Sola had not noticed.

"Stay with the senator." They'd said.

"We'll talk about this later." They'd said. When Padmé was more put together Sola helped her out of the bathroom and back to her quarters where Sola was still picking up shards of glass when the two Jedi came back into the door.

"Well?" Sola asked, gaze flicking between the two of them. "Did you catch the assassin?" They shared a glance and the older one, Master Obi-Wan spoke.

"We haven't discussed what happened yet."

"It was obviously an assassination attempt." Sola crossed her arms. "Did you catch them?"

"Padmé..." Anakin started, his cadence a bit awkward. "This handmaiden in particular...Has she always known what you needed before you said it?"

Padmé was a little caught off guard and had to think it over before nodding. "Yes... Yes, she has." Now the other three in the room were looking at Sola in nearly the same manner.

"What? What is it?" She asked, a little unnerved.

"I think you're a precog with the Force." Anakin said, and Sola had to get over how well he had sprouted in the last ten years. The fact was Anakin was a handsome young man. Sola shoved this down.

"I'm not surprised. The temple came for me long ago, when I was three years old and my parents turned them down. I was too perfectly suited to the job I have now to become a Jedi." Sola uncrossed her arms. "So what of it?"

"So I think you should come along to the safe house." Anakin shared a glance with his master. "Think about it, Master. She knows Padmé more closely than either of us and with her Force sensitivity she might catch something I wouldn't. I can train her up on it while we wait for you to catch up." Anakin raised an eyebrow. "Well?"

"Well, I suppose you're right. But be careful Anakin. Your concern needs to be Senator Amidala first and foremost." Obi-Wan seemed tired as he was saying this, begrudging even. "You're somewhat lacking yourself in training. Not to mention discipline." The last bit was said with a point.

"Yes it does." Sola agreed, surprising both Jedi and cutting off Obi-Wan Kenobi. "I can handle myself. Miladay must remain protected."

The Council had decreed that Anakin would take Sola and Padmé both to Naboo while Master Kenobi looked in on the dart that had been shot into the neck of the fleeing assassin. Sola was helping Padmé pack the last of what she wanted to bring with them from the senate building when Anakin Skywalker opened the door, standing in their way. Sola watched with side long glances the way Anakin watched the senator. The traveling was similarly tense, if not worse. When he wasn't staring broodingly at Padmé he was coaching Sola on meditation and honing the feeling in the back of her mind.

"Something terrible is going to happen." She said, staring him down after that first session. Sola had never been more sure of it when she said this, either.

"I'm sure that's normal to feel at the first training of your powers." Anakin replied a bit uneasily. "Keep up with the meditation exercises I shared with you and tell me anytime you get one of those feelings. It could be important."

"I just told you." Sola said, impatient. "Something terrible is going to happen with this mission."

Anakin struggled with this a moment. "Master Obi-Wan would want me to remind you of something his master used to say, which is to live in the present. Do not let the possibility of this terrible thing coming to pass blind you. It may be all that causes the terrible thing in the first place, Padmé."

Sola pursed her lips, watching him walk over to where the actual Padme was. She didn't correct him. That instinct had long since been supressed out of her. It was part of her job as a double after all, not to correct people. Why does it sting so much more now? The rest of the traveling was passed like this until they at least reached Naboo and the house on the lake.

Sola struggled the whole way with her jealousy. Padmé was generous, allowing her body doubles to have lives, relationships. They could leave and start families. But Sola...Sola was beginning to feel for someone she probably shouldn't and watching him next to Padmé on the balcony...It was becoming abundantly clear that this would be a harder mission than Sola originally thought.
