This is my take on what I think the Return of Jafar could've been. Hope you enjoy. Disclaimer: Aladdin belongs to Disney.
Prologue: A Stranger in the Night
On a cold night in the Arabian desert, a lone stranger was walking, staff in hand. By his side flew a small magical eel no bigger than a cat or a weasel, a twisted smile on its face. The stranger's face was covered with a dark blue cloth, his eyes were in shadow. Behind him was a tall dark steed, he pulled on its rains making sure it stayed close.
He was looking for something. He lifted his staff and it started to glow. A red light shot out of it and shot forward leaving a magical trail in its wake. The stranger shared a glance with his eel and continued onward.
The light came to a halt and started circling a spot in the sand. The stranger smiled under his mask and tied the horse down to a stone pillar that happened to be nearby. He lifted his right hand and it began to glow and the desert winds started to pick up. A tornado made of sand formed, forcing the eel to cling closer to its master. The horse whinnied in surprise and tried to escape but it's rains where too strong.
After a few moments, the winds finally came to a stop and the air was now calm. The stranger walked up to his still-panicking horse and waved his hand. The horse's eyes flashed red and it calmed down almost instantly. The Stanger smiled then turned back to his handy work to see what he uncovered. There was now a hole in the sand that went deep into the earth.
Without missing a beat the eel made its way down and started its search. It took him a few minutes but before long he found what he was looking for and smiled wickedly. Pleased with himself he started giving off an eerie green glow bright enough for his master to see.
The stranger lifted his arm again and his glove began to glow red. Down below the object the eel had found started glowing red as well, revealing itself to be a black oil lamp.
It levitated and began to float its way upwards, eventually making its way into the stranger's hands. The eel followed close behind and wrapped itself comfortably on its master's shoulder.
The wind picked up again knocking the stranger's mask off his face, revealing a pale young man, with thick black hair, his eyes still encased in shadow but now more visible than before. He smiled at his prize.
"Good work Xerxes," he said patting him on the head. "Now come. Times a wasting and we don't wanna be late!" He then tucked the lamp in a safe place where no one would suspect and began untying his horse from the pillar. He sattled up, covering his face once more. "Now off to Agrabah! Yah!" He said snapping the rains and off he went.
A/N And that's it for now. Hope you enjoy. Apologies if some characters (Namely Mozenrath) are a bit OC-ish. Also, imagine Xerxes sounding more like Peter Lorre than Frank Welker making a funny voice.
