The legend of Fairies.
Quick Note - If you are wondering why there is no chapter title in the chapter, it's because the title is too long. Don't worry, the chapter is still what I said at the end of the previous chapter, only it doesn't have a name.
Enjoy the chapter.
Chapter Eleven: Remaining Poe Sisters and Recovery (Part Two)
Previously in the last chapter.
After defeating Amy, the group decided to stay in the room they entered and heal Erza's injuries from Acnologia's roar attack. They couldn't use healing potions as it would only work if she's awake, but the least they can do is wrapped fresh bandages around her body. They first remove the armor set, then got started wrapping the fresh bandages. Natsu and Happy did the arms, legs and back, while Link did the front area.
After putting on the last bandage on Erza, who is still unconscious but had numerous bandages on her body, and placing the armor back on her, the group took a small break. Natsu sat against the wall with Erza's head in his lap, Link sitting next to him but had her head on his shoulder, something that made him blush, and Happy taking a small nap on Link's lap. Even though he made a mental note to heat Erza's body up once she awakens, Natsu decided to heat her up anyway because he didn't want her to gain hypothermia.
For a while, there was silence in the room as the group continued to take their small break with Natsu and Link currently lost in their own minds.
'So, this is Erza Natsu and Happy spoke about on our way towards the forest,' Link thought, staring at Erza from her position on Natsu's shoulder. She felt a scowl appearing on her face upon staring at the face that had made her jealous and angry hours ago. 'I will admit she is beautiful and looks like a warrior, but I will make Natsu mine. Make no mistake about that…Erza.'
'Thank Fiore I found Erza in time before those bitches could completely drain her life force,' Natsu thought, extremely relief coursing through his body as he finally reunited with one of his friends he deeply cares about. He placed a hand on Erza's head and rubbed it gently. 'If I didn't, then she would've…' Natsu didn't dare finish that thought or imagine it. He just didn't dare. 'Erza, I said before at the Tower of Heaven I made a promise to Simon I would always look after you, protect you even, and that's what I'm going to do. I will protect you, Erza, including Link until my last dying breath.'
Natsu would go great lengths to protect the two women he deeply cares about, even if he has to die in the process.
(In the Present; With the Group)
Soon, the group's small break they took after defeating Amy and healing Erza was over and they have resumed their final venture in the Forest Temple. They hope it was their final venture because they have been dwelling inside this temple for far too long; they needed to defeat the boss to save Saria and head towards the other temples in Hyrule to awaken the other Sages.
Hyrule is counting on the group to save it from its darkest hour and Ganondorf.
During the final venture, Natsu carried Erza on his back as the latter is still unconscious. He, along with Link and Happy, had first thought her life force hadn't returned like Amy said, but it turns out her magic power is quite drastically low, which was preventing her from waking up. She only needs to replenish her magic in order to wake up.
Unfortunately, the healing potions the group bought at Kakariko Village won't work on unconscious people. Erza needed to be awake for the potions to work effectively, otherwise her magic won't replenished at all. Luckily, there's another way for her magic to be replenished, one Link explained to both an extremely worried Natsu and Happy.
All the group has to do is give Erza a Heart Container after defeating the boss in the Forest Temple, which will be enough to not only replenished and increased her magic power but also awaken her from the unconscious state. There may be a chance more Heart Containers might appear for them to increase their current power, something they definitely needed to defeat Ganondorf in the future once all Sages are awakened, but that's a very big if because there's usually one Heart Container every time a boss in a dungeon gets defeated.
If more Heart Containers doesn't appear, then the group has the option to train very hard, which also increases their power, but it takes time doing so.
As much as the group wants to think about training their current power to defeat Ganondorf in the future, they need to focus on replenishing Erza's magic power, defeat the boss in the Forest Temple and save Saria. So, they pushed all thoughts about training their current power aside and focus on venturing in the temple for the final time.
Upon arriving in the main room of the Forest Temple to deal with Meg, the eldest and final Poe Sister, the group paused when they heard the sound of snickering coming from the direct middle. There's no mistake about it; she was the room waiting for them to head towards her.
"Okay, guys," Natsu said, getting Link's and Happy's attention. "Let's kill this Poe Sister so that we can finally head underground and head into the boss room. We have been dwelling on the upper levels for far too long."
"Right," Link and Happy said in unison.
After placing Erza gently against the railing on the raised platform they're standing on with Happy staying behind in case something happens during the fight, Natsu and Link made their way towards Meg, who is still waiting for them in the direct middle of the main room. She is currently sitting on the ground, still snickering. The moment they arrived, she immediately stopped snickering, rose up from the ground and split herself into four copies. Three being fake while one being the real one.
The fight against Meg had been a bit difficult at first, considering Natsu and Link didn't know which one of the four copies was the real one, but it wasn't until they remembered Joelle's words about Meg's battle strategy when they first encountered her.
"When you're facing against her, she will summon three clones of herself and the only way to defeat her is to attack the one who spins in a circle. If you don't attack the real one fast enough, all of them will charge at you with their torches."
'That's it!' Natsu and Link thought in unison as they finally figured out how to beat Meg. 'We need to aim at the one who spins in a circle! The others are just clones!'
With the newfound knowledge, it didn't take very long for Natsu and Link to defeat Meg, the final Poe Sister. A powerful jump attack by the Master Sword, followed by a Fire Dragon Iron Fist, did enough damage to make her release a loud scream before she disappeared like the other three Poe Sisters, but with purple flames, which lit up the final blackout torch.
Right after Meg disappeared and the blackout torch lit up, the elevator that had sink downwards into the ground after the colorful flames extinguished way earlier ago rose back up. The group can now access to the underground level of the Forest Temple.
"Finally," Natsu said, releasing a huge sigh of relief. "All the Poe Sisters are gone. I'm so glad we don't have to deal with them ever again."
"Yeah, dealing with the Poe Sisters was such a pain," Link seconded, also releasing a huge sigh of relief. "But at least we can finally go underground and head towards the boss room."
"You got that right. We should get going."
After grabbing Erza from the stone railing, the group quickly made their way underground in fear the elevator would sink down into the floor again, even though it won't happen at all because the Poe Sisters are gone forever. But it's better safe than sorry since good opportunities doesn't last long.
Though, in the process of heading underground in the Forest Temple, Link was forced to endure an extremely nauseous heavy sweaty Natsu leaning against her, due to his motion sickness becoming so severe his face became very green. Thankfully, he didn't vomit or drool on her, but he did take notice of how soft her body was, even though she is currently wearing clothes.
Once the elevator reached the underground level and stopped moving, Link guided the nauseous Natsu off the elevator with Happy, who is carrying Erza, following behind them. They are now standing in a circular room with two stone walls extending outwards, two doorways being blocked by iron bars and colorful red, blue and white flooring.
"Okay, guys, we only have this obstacle left until we can get to the boss door," Link stated after gently placing the still nauseous Natsu against the wall. "We just need to rise the iron gate."
"Why do we need to do the obstacle when we could just have Natsu use his magic to destroy the iron gate, Link?" Happy asked curiously, not seeing the point of doing the obstacle when Natsu could easily just destroy the iron gate. That way, the group can reach the boss door and not waste any more time than necessary.
"Because Natsu is still not feeling well, Happy, and it might take longer for him to recover since his motion sickness somehow became severe when riding the elevator. Plus, this obstacle doesn't seem that difficult to be begin with. We probably would finish this in a few minutes."
Happy still didn't see the point of doing the obstacle, but couldn't deny Link's words as Natsu still looked nauseous from the elevator ride, despite the fact he was getting better by each passing second. His very green face was returning to its original slight tan color and the extreme sweat had vanished, yet a few drops still remains.
However, despite getting better, Natsu is not strong enough to destroy the iron gate. Technically, he can but because of his motion sickness becoming so severe from riding the elevator, he couldn't lift his fist up or light it on fire. He couldn't even stand up properly without stumbling or wobbling.
It looks like the group would have to do the obstacle in order to reach the boss door, otherwise they're going to be in this circular room all day.
"Alright, Link, we'll do it your way," Happy stated with a sigh after realizing there was no other way to reach the boss door. "Let's solve the obstacle."
Sometimes, Happy wonders if being in the Forest Temple brings people an omen of bad luck.
And done! That's the end of the chapter! Sorry if it's short instead of long, but I kinda lost the writing motivation I gained two weeks ago, despite getting a great start on this chapter. Even though I did say the group will get into the boss chamber in the previous chapter, the writing motivation I lost made me struggled with writing the next plot of the story, so I was forced to end the chapter right there. But…at least another chapter is done.
Next chapter will be the group fighting against Phantom Ganondorf after they finish dealing with the circular room puzzle. They're going to be so surprised and shocked once they see him.
Write a review if you like this story and enjoy the chapter.
Next Chapter: Phantom Ganondorf.
