Avengers: Titanfall
Summary: What If It Wasn't Just The Avengers And Her Allies Who Has A Bone To Pick With The Mad Titan? One-Shot. No Pairings
"Is that all of them?" Doctor Strange asked Wong as he steps up besides him. The asian monk's answer was interrupted by Giant Man bursting out of the ruins of Avengers Mansion together with Hulk, War Machine and Rocket Racoon and taking their place besides the other Avengers.
"Transport of the last two holdouts to this battle is proving a little…. Problematic." Wong said, nodding towards two truly massive portals which required no less then two teams of twelve monks each to open and maintain. "But we WILL get it done."
The Sorcerer Supreme warily eyes the two gigantic portals being opened by the monks. "What in the world are you bringing over here Wong? As if we don't have enough monsters as it is to deal with in this fight." Strange said.
"Not monsters." Wong admonished. "Keepers of the balance. Defenders of the realm."
A pair of loud, distinctive roars issued forth from the two giant portals. A disyllabic shrieking with a rumble resonating in the end from the first and a heavy grunting bellow from the second. Moments later, the owners of the roars emerges from the portals.
From one portal came a massive bipedal lizard with a sharp mouthful of teeth, a large, heavy tail made for toppling tall building with a single swipe and stegasaur like armored fins running down the it's back and tail.
From the other portal emerged a gigantic, heavily muscled gorilla hefting a makeshift axe with what looks like one of the gigantic lizard's fins serving as it's axehead.
Both titanic beasts briefly glares at each other then turns towards a clearly nervous Giant Man, as if assessing if the ex burglar was a threat, before turning their burning gazes towards Thanos and his army.
Even though they looked inhuman, both were obviously furious at the mad titan.
"W-What the hell are those things?!?" Giant Man asked, looking positively dumbfounded at the sheer size of the two Titans compared to him in his giant form.
"The guardian of Skull Island, Kong and the King Of Monsters himself, Godzilla." Wong identified. "Titans who have defended our world from others like them since the beginning of written history."
"Ahh….. You sure those two aren't here to….. You know…. Eat everything in sight?"
"Don't be an idiot Quill. We'd barely be a nibble to these things." Rocket gruffed before turning a darkly amused gaze at an understandably concerned looking Thanos. "Besides, they've got somebody else in mind for the menu."
"I can work with that." Captain America stated. After all, 'the enemy of my enemy' was a concept as old as time itself.
The First Avenger then steps up to the frontline. Joining him to his left was Thor while to his right was Iron Man.
And though it should not have been the case, the presence of Kong and Godzilla strangely reassured him as much as his old friend Bucky's did who, ironically, stood between the two titans ready to go to war.
Captain America then raises Mjolnir high above his head and gave the signal everyone on his side had been waiting for.
"AVENGERS!! ASSEMBLE!!"
And with a collective warcry, the battle was joined.
Author's Notes: A new fic after…… Well after soooo long. And I plan to do more of these 'What If' scenarios though it doesn't mean I will ignore my other fics."
