A Second Chance

Ladybug ducked under the Akuma's swing, the rest of the team all scattered around the park, Ladybug winced at Taurus was knocked across the park, colliding with a tree. Chat hauled Viperion and Ryuko out of a hole, Ladybug internally winced, she knew Luka and Kagami would be in pain for a little while.

Ladybug threw her yoyo into the air, silently calling for a lucky charm. A hexagonal box fell into her hand. Ladybug frowned before examining the box further, a bee was engraved on the box, with a couple letters underneath it.

Ladybug frowned, before quickly making her way over to Chat, "I need to get the bee."

"Who do you have in mind?" Asked Chat, as Carapace was thrown into Pegasus.

"Just trust me." Said Ladybug, before swinging off, leaving Chat to ensure the teams survival.

Chloe was sulking in her room when a loud bang made her look at her balcony doors. She watched as the heroine of Paris slowly peeled herself off the glass, before attempting to go through them again. Ladybug repeated the process a few times, before scowling and muttered "Spots off."

Marinette kept scowling, until her transformation fully vanished, and her face went red with embarrassment, and she quietly let herself in, and then transforming. Chloe tried not to wither at the flat look Ladybug gave her.

"The last time we met, you betrayed everyone, you exposed their identities to Hawkmoth and almost handed him a victory." Ladybug's tone was flat, cold and formal, "I do not know why I came to you of all people, but this is the Miraculous of the Bee, containing the power of Subjection."

Chloe stared at the hexagonal box in Ladybug's hand.

"Tell me, do you seek redemption?" Asked Ladybug.

Chloe gasped in shock. This was a dream. It had to be. There was no other explanation. Nonetheless, she nodded anyway.

"Then welcome back, Queen Bee." said Ladybug, before rubbing her nose, "What's that door made of, anyway?"

Chat tried not to wince to much as King Monkey and Bunnyx were throw around by the Akuma, Ryuko and Viperion were collapsed behind him, while Carapace and Rena were recharging. Pegasus was standing next to Chat, watching as Kim and Alix were knocked into the next year.

"I'm surprised Kim's kept his lunch." Said Pegasus, as King Monkey was dragged along a sheet of glass, emitting a sound similar to a wiper, "He had a milkshake."

"I thought he was Lactose intolerant?" Asked Chat, cocking his head.

"Don't try and stop him when he and Alix have a bet." Said Pegasus, as two thuds sounded behind them.

"Buggaboo, I really hope you came with the cavalry." Said Chat, freezing at the sight of Queen Bee, "This isn't going to end well."

"You trust me?" Asked Ladybug, preparing her yoyo.

"Without a doubt." Said Chat, looking at Ladybug.

"Then trust me, my instincts are rarely wrong." Said Ladybug, launching her yoyo towards the Akuma. Queen Bee quickly followed, landing behind Ladybug, as the spotted heroine narrowed her eyes as she examined the Akuma.

"You'll have a limited window of opportunity," Said Ladybug, without looking at Queen Bee, "Galdiator is covered in armour and the only opening in under her left armpit."

"So, timing is key?" Asked Queen Bee, readying her trompo and held her position, waiting for Galdiator to raise her left arm.

Queen Bee didn't have to wait long, as Galdiator raised her arms over her head. The trompo sailed through the air and stabbed Galdiator in the soft tissue of her armpit. Galdiator froze, before toppling over. Everyone watched as Ladybug practically pranced towards the paralyzed Akuma and pulled the helmet from her head.

A broken helmet, white butterfly and a swarm of ladybugs later, the heroes were all standing beneath the Eiffel Tower, with Chloe handing the comb back to Ladybug.

"You do understand that I probably won't call on you again?" Asked Ladybug, looking at the heiress.

Chloe nodded, "I don't think I'll be able to look at it any longer, not after what happened to Zoe."

Ladybug fought back a wince. Zoe had been beheaded by a visiting vigilante, which had not gone over well with the city itself, which strengthened the foreign hero ban, which prevented Hero groups like the Justice League and the Avengers from offering their aid.

"That's understandable." Agreed Ladybug, as the rest of the team headed off to their various jobs and homes, "Do you need a lift home?"

"No," Chloe shook her head, "I think I'll walk home."

Ladybug smiled and nodded, before launching her yoyo into the air and zipping off. Leaving Chloe alone under the tower.
