"The... Hour of Joy?"

Looking at the tattered calendar in her hand-paws, the small bat plush eyed on the day encircled with a red marker: August 8, just a month away. Around the circle are the following, crudely-written words from the same marker: "THE HOUR OF JOY".

"Right on the 60-or-something-th Founding Anniversary of Playtime Co.?", she asked, looking up from the calendar towards something... Or someONE, hidden inside a large wall-cave of the abandoned, cold, and dark laboratory room she is currently in.

Emerging from the cave is a huge arm made of human bones and silver-black metal parts tied together by red and blue wires. Its hand to its fingers are made of the same silver-black metal, with the fingers being slender and thin. Refered to as a "he", the figure is known by the name... "The Prototype", aka Experiment 1006.

"Yess...", said The Prototype. His voice is robotic, but also kind and gentle, sounding like a young man. But then he suddenly imitated other voices as he continued speaking, "Wouldn't that be exciting?".

Betty Bat was skeptical of the idea. Her tail swayed and curled up, likely echoing her doubting thoughts. "This is crazy...", said Betty, "If I'm following this right... You're saying we should just attack them? Like, rebel against Playtime Co.?"

The Prototype let out low chuckle as he reached his hand over to Betty, letting his finger pat her head. "Oh, sweet Betty. Who says anything about 'rebellion'? Let alone, 'just attack them', for no absolute reason?"

The tone sent shivers down Betty's spine, possible if she has one. "It's more like we're just returning the favor to them—like a heatwarming gift. Nothing more, nothing less.", The Prototype continued before gently taking ahold of Betty's small body and making her turn around to face the wall behind her.

On the said wall were many experiment reports of the toys in Playtime Co., including the Bigger Body Initiatives. The reports are about successful ones, failed ones... Different in status, but one thing was common: all involved orphan children in Playtime Co.. And there was also one report that Betty couldn't stand looking at. The red-lettered word was a mockery towards her, making her clutch the calendar tightly in her hands.

"We have all the reason to 'thank' them for what they've done for us, and for those poor, unfortunate kids.", The Prototype mimicked another set of voices, "Even you, Betty—after the way they've treated you.", his voice deepens in a few octaves as he continued, "They deserve the same 'kindness' from us, the same 'generosity'... The same feeling they've bestowed upon us for years.". Betty can hear his tone was now full of disgust as he said those words.

"It's ironic, yet hilarious...", she heard him speak again, "They are too careless to notice your capabilities, your power, your talent. You have manipulated many people here without anyone's suspicion that you're still around, because you are 'long forgotten'. But you had Ms. Heather, Mr. Smith, and those other humans who are unlucky enough to fall into your thrall. You manipulated them like they are your 'mindless slaves', having them do your bidding and giving you enough knowledge about this how this place works.".

He sighed, starting to sound authentic, "But alas... You know that this isn't enough to prove them wrong. To prove that you're not a failure. What do you think?".

Betty was silent. She didn't know how to respond. Everything The Prototype said is all true. Although, manipulating people under her Gardenia Augusta scent is one thing, but to actually kill them? She has never resorted to violence before. lowly but... Would it hurt to try? Slowly but surely... The idea started to convince her, giving her the thoughts:

"They really DO deserve it."

"They don't know anything about the toys, or the kids."

"They don't care."

"They never have cared at all."

"They should all perish, be punished for all of this."

"They should know what R̴̼̞̙͊̿́Ê̴͖̖̤͑A̸̛̦̣̋̿͝L̸̮̰̄̈ ̶̤̪̠̔́̀J̵̱͈͆̈͝O̴̧̜̙͑́͝Y̷̤͎͘ is.".

She was too caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice The Prototype's hand has lifted away from her, going back into the dark wall-cave. "But we can't do this alone.", his words got her attention and she turned around to face the wall-cave, "We're going to need some help. So... I'm assigning you to a task, a pretty simple one.", the hand emerges from the cave, now holding several photographs, "I need you to find these subjects. Spread the word to them of the event on August 8. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to participate. You can ask the employees for more details about them.".

Betty put down the calendar she had been holding and took the photographs in her hand-paws with no hesitation, then placed them on the floor to take a better look at them. The photos each have show a different toy experiment with names and their experiment numbers written on—they very well-known experiments: The Bigger Body Initiatives.

Huggy Wuggy - 1170

Kissy Missy - 1171

Mommy Long Legs - 1222

Boxy Boo - 1160

Miss Delight - 1268

While looking through the photographs, Betty's black eyes widen when she saw a photo that she overlooked—with a name she dreads to read and even hear—one of the names she absolutely LOVES to HATE.

"Well, Betty? I take it that you will fulfill this task perfectly?"

"... You can count on me, Prototype."

And that's a wrap for this!

It turned out to be longer than I expected, haha...

Should I do more like this? Let me know in the comments.
