The next morning, Lancex woke to find himself in the middle of it all. Curled up inside of his frame was Cosmos, which allowed Grimlock to even snuggle with Lancex on that side. Lancex smiled, and then realized that Optimus was on Lancex's back side and cuddling close, as if protecting the bot, much like Grimlock was doing on the other side. It made Lancex warm to see and feel this. He had a place to belong. He wanted to sleep a bit more, but something inside told him to stay awake and to rouse his mates.
Cosmos wasn't hard to wake, for as soon as Lancex moved, Cosmos woke and smiled at Lancex, as Cosmos loved how protective even Lancex was. Next to rouse was Optimus, as he had set his systems to react if something changed. Since Lancex had moved, Optimus onlined his optics and smiled at his lovers who he hoped to make full mates soon. Last but not least was Grimlock. The bot slept like a rock and it took a hot kiss from Lancex to rouse the bot. Grimlock was soon up. He was not pleased to be awake but then came a comm.
"Lancex, please come to the med bay and bring your mates with you" came the comm. It was from Aquaformer. She seemed eager to let him know something as well as see something.
"You think she sparked?" Cosmos asked, remembering just how big Aquaformer had been and how close she had been to sparking her precious little ones.
"More than likely, Cosmos" Lancex replied gently. He was eager to see the little ones if it was true that Aquaformer had sparked.
"Wow, I can't wait to see the precious little ones" Cosmos replied. Optimsu just smiled. It had been millennia since he had even seen new sparklings.
"Well, since she said bring your mates, I presume she means all four of us are welcome" Optimus mentioned, knowing that Aquaformer would have made it clear if someone was or was not welcome.
"Even me Grimlock?" Grimlock asked, trying not to show he was a bit nervous about all of this.
"She said to bring all of you, so that includes you, Grimlock" Lancex replied. And with that, they headed to the med bay. All hoped that this would truly bring good news.
