Mountain Terrain (Day)
When Dominic brought out Type: Full, Shindo didn't think there'd be much of a problem since it was only one Pokemon against his whole class. He was sorely mistaken. The Synthetic Pokemon used Draco Meteor, causing comets to come crashing down on the battlefield and breaking the terrain apart, all while its trainer laughed like a madman.
In the end, only four students from Ketsubutsu were still able to fight. The group hid in a trench created by Draco Meteor, hoping that Dominic and his Pokemon would miss them and move past them.
"What the hell is up with this guy?" Nakagame asked, making sure to keep her voice quiet. "He's gone completely berserk."
"To think a single one of his Pokemon would be able to stop Tremoring Earth, then still have enough energy to keep attacking..." Toteki said, both infuriated and impressed by Type: Full's strength.
"It doesn't matter how strong it is." Shindo said. "If we can take out Xiao-Long, that will end things. We have to focus our efforts on hitting his targets."
"We still have enough balls to eliminate him, but after that..." Makabe said, holding three balls in his hand.
"We'll have to make them count." Shindo said, determined to win.
The group hardened the balls with Makabe's Quirk, then discreetly sent the balls through the ground again in the hopes that it would beat their opponent before he even realized what had happened. When they heard three audible strikes, Nakagame peeked out from their hiding place to see something that sent chills down her spine.
Dominic wasn't eliminated. Far from it. Standing in front of him was a humanoid Pokemon with pale pink skin and a muscular, purple tail. With its arm raised, it had stopped the hardened balls in midair with psychic power before crushing them into dust.
Its eyes held contempt for Nakagame as she fearfully ducked back into the trench. As soon as she did, she and her classmates were telekinetically thrown out of the trench, causing them to land before Dominic and his current partner, the Legendary Pokemon Mewtwo.
"I must say, I am impressed by how far you've managed to get in this battle." Dominic said, smiling. "But I'm afraid our game has to end here."
"You bastard! You can't do this!" Shindo shouted, feeling weighed down by Pressure. "You've already eliminated two candidates! You have to leave the fight! This is against the rules!"
"We are the ones who make our own rules." Mewtwo said through telepathy, shocking the Ketsubutsu students. Through psychic power, it launched itself at Shindo and grabbed him with telekinesis. Though the boy tried to break free, he was helpless as the Legendary Pokemon threw him into a nearby rock formation before repeatedly firing Shadow Ball at his body.
"That does it! Tremoring Earth!" With a yell, Shindo used his Ultimate Move to cause an earthquake that was headed straight for Mewtwo.
Raising its arm, Mewtwo created a barrier of psychic energy that took the force of Tremoring Earth. It then fired the collected energy back at Shindo, badly injuring him. "That was trivial." Mewtwo said, unimpressed.
"There's nothing more to gain from this. Let's head to the Ante Room." Dominic said, turning around and walking off.
"Wait!" Shindo said, struggling to stand up. "We aren't finished here."
"Typical humans." Dominic said, turning back to face his opponent. "You do realize that continuing this battle will only end in despair, right? There's no point in fighting anymore."
"If this test is truly for determining who is worthy to become a hero, you have failed." Mewtwo said, scathingly. "If you continue to fight even after you've lost, you endanger the very people you are trying to save. If humans like you are allowed to become heroes, this world is destined for ruin. Only the Mountain King has the right to make his stance as a hero!"
"And what makes your master behind you so worthy to be a hero?" Shindo asked, preparing another Tremoring Earth attack.
"I do not serve Lord Xiao-Long." Mewtwo said. "Only weak Pokemon resort to calling a human their master. Since my creation, I've been stronger than any Pokemon alive."
"You never know until you try!" Shindo proclaimed, slamming his arms onto the ground.
Predicting its opponent's actions, Mewtwo scoffed. "You want to try?"
Shindo fired off Tremoring Earth, one far more powerful than even he knew he was capable of, at the Legendary Pokemon. Mewtwo didn't move, allowing the attack to engulf it. Shindo laughed at the sight of Dominic's strongest partner being defeated by his Ultimate Move.
"Pitiful." Mewtwo said, flying out of the rubble, much to the horror of the Ketsubutsu students. "Do not resist the inevitable."
"Mewtwo, time to finish this." Dominic said with a widening grin, eager to see Shindo fail. "Use Psystrike!" Mewtwo formed a ball of rainbow-colored energy in its hand, then threw it towards its opponent, passing through him to strike all of his classmates as well. A few seconds passed before a gigantic explosion occurred, leaving all of them unconscious.
His job finished, Dominic sent Mewtwo back into its Poke Ball and made his way to the Ante Room.
AN: What do you think of the dynamic between Dominic and Mewtwo?
