Hello everyone,

Yes, I am still around. Just trying to figure out the first part of the fight and how many chapters will have to go through before the invasion ends. Still trying to figure out a few more chapters on the battle and survival, to the rebuilding of it.

But let's get to the chapter

Chapter 8: Defense Taking out
Jin twirls his sword, then strikes down. He knew that they would head over to the defense lines and put down the towers. For him, he hoped this would cripple the monsters' invasion. He also wanted to find out what happened to Guignol.

If he can find him, then he can bring one step closer to taking out all those monsters. He is the craftiest of them all, and was the cause of the death of Catue's father.

If only he knew where he was.

"Jin?"

He turned to see his future mother-in-law, worried with a look "Are you okay? Catue has been looking for you."

He smiled and nodded "Oh, yes I am fine. Just needed time to go over a few things, before tackling the dark castle."

She replied "That's understandable."

"I will go see her now."

She smiled, "Thank you Jin."

He nodded and went to see his fiancee.

Nina then was walking back to the castle. She kept walking until she saw not far off Bell, who was looking at a paper. He looked pensive at it. She walked over to him and said "Bell."

"Huh? Oh! Your highness!" He got up and bowed respectfully.

She gave a small giggle and said "Oh Bell, I am not your queen. In this place, we are guests in another kingdom, hence why we are equals here."

"Oh. Right." He was still shy around the beautiful queen.

"So, what is that paper?" She asked curiously.

"This paper? Well, this is just my stats." He looked back at the paper

"Stats?"

"Yes. My goddess Hestia, updated my stats from her blessing, and I noticed a significant jump. However, no other skills were present yet."

He showed the paper to her, and she saw it.

There were numbers and letters:

She was surprised to see this. "Is this what the blessing does?"

He nodded "It augments our ability. For humans, only a handful are gifted with magic, but their other skills go up. For elves, their magic increases. It varies in race, but they manage to increase it better than the average person. However" he was given the paperback "They are others that are stronger than me."

"I see. And of all your friends, who is the strongest in the group."

He smiled, "Ms. Lyon."

"I see. Do you have any idea on her level?"

He shook his head "That is something you have to ask her, it is personal on people showing their level and abilities. I can, however, tell you she is fast and strong. Stronger than me."

"And how strong is Jin?"

He began to think about it and recalled their sparring match. He was surprised how he was able to hold well on strength and speed.

"I would say evenly with me. I would assume it had to do with his dragon blood, right?"

She nodded "Yes. Many years ago, a group of adventurers were after a sword. It is said the sword would help them fight the monsters back. They fought and struggled, but it left only two adventurers who managed to reach the weapon. The weapon, self aware, saw both were worthy of more than just the sword. The sword turns out it was a spirit. The spirit offered them something more than just the sword. They were given dragon blood in them, able to use their gifts to stop monsters and demons on the tracks."

She then looked at Bell's red eyes. "Jin was a descendant of one of them, while my daughter is the other one. Although I carry it myself, I am long distant from it, enough to marry my late husband who was one as well."

He was surprised to hear that "Wait, your daughter has dragon blood too?"

She nodded "She is really strong. For me, though, I don't adventure anymore as I keep an eye open on the kingdom and do my best to help out."

"Oh."

"I was a formidable fighter, but after having my daughter, and keeping an eye on the kingdom. And well….my little weight gain, I don't think I can do that anymore."

"That must have been a change of careers for you."

She giggled as she saw Bell looking into her eyes, showing how he is looking at her and not elsewhere, like other men do. She liked that, it is really cute.

"I will leave you now, I do hope your victory goes well, Bell."

"I will….Nina."

She liked hearing her name being called by him. She got up and left.

Bell looked at her and couldn't help but see how her hips swayed a bit, making him think about how her clothing leaves so little. Just a bit of a pull-

He slapped himself. "What am I thinking? This is wrong! Wrong, wrong! I have to stay focused on my mission!"

Warning: Small sex scene

In another location

"I'm going to- AHhhhh!" A man released and felt his life was leaving him and was out for good.

A woman with short pink hair, her large breasts covered with a bit of semen on her skimpy clothes, smirked.

"Oh dear, another one is dead again. It seems that the men here are all weak.~" She giggles as bodies of men are found dead with their pants down. "A war that I feel is too stupid. Why not about love and sex. Two of my favorite things.~" She skipped over, looking at the documents and reading.

"A Sex Empire….run by a man…..monster and demon taking over….Boring!" she threw it to the side. "A sex area exists. Sex Empire will collapse one day, and it won't be so fun, where the forbidden love and sex exist.~"

She then looked over and read a bit. "Oh, visitors from Orario.~" She grew more curious, reading the letter and looking into the document. "Interesting. A young man with his group is helping out…..and the princess Catue is there?! Oh my~ Maybe I will have some fun after all.~"

She giggled and grew excited on seeing who this person was. She has heard rumors, but this confirms it.

She will look for him and see what he is like.

Next Day
Bell was on a horse, riding next to Vult.

He recalled the plan and sounded it would work.

"Ryuu and Asfi would take care of one of the towers. I believe he said it was north of it. While they are taking out the orb that is causing the city to be shielded, Jin and Catue would handle the one in the west. Mikoto and Asuka with Lilli would handle the east towers. Welf, Vult and I would handle the south. Just go in, destroy the orbs, then set up a perimeter to prepare to invade the whole kingdom. Thankfully we managed to muster up every member of the Black Dogs to help us and a few soldiers to assist us."

Bell knew it was now or never.

They kept moving and Welf was next to him. Welf told him that he gave a few magical weapons to the girls, just in case things get really difficult. He was relieved hearing that, while they moved on.

"Halt!"

The horses stopped and the others as well.

Vult saw the large tower not far off and looked up. He then turned to one of the soldiers and nodded.

He aimed what looked like fireworks and lit it up. The fireworks flew up and gave a green explosion.

In another part of the tower, Asfi flew up as high as she could and threw one of her explosive potions, causing damage to the building. This caused some of the soldiers on the tower to blow a horn.

Archers were getting ready to shoot at Asfi, until an explosion stopped them. Ryuu had a sword that was glowing red and gave another slash, before rushing in the tower with the other people behind her.

Ryuu avoided a few of the archers' shooting, and sliced one of the monsters in half. She avoided another attack easily and fought on, as the others rushed in as well.

She did all she could to, not only distract them, but to allow both Black Dogs and Asfi to be able to continue on the attack.

In another part of a tower, Jin took out two monsters and punched an elf out of the fight. He then saw Catue taking out a few more monsters with her sword, then was in a fight with an elf. They kept pushing hard and fast, in order to break the defenses, in order to break the barrier down.

"We have to keep pushing! Don't let them win this!" Jin shouted.

The men were pushing harder, which caused Jin to smirk. That motivated them to keep going, and to obtain the eye on the price.

Catue pushed forward, avoiding another attack to one of the elves, while she saw Jin slicing the head off the orc.

The Black Dogs pushed forward, fighting with all they could.

They managed to reach the second floor, when two large oni appeared. Catue and Jin avoided the easy clubs coming down on them, and both took their swords out, taking their heads off.

Both back off from more dark elves appearing, until the Black Dogs counterattacked.

In another part of the tower, Lilli pointed where to go, and one of the soldiers was able to break their defenses. She shot a monster on her right, giving enough distraction for a Black Dog member taking it out.

"Mikoto, Lilli sees a few soldiers heading this way in the center!"

The Eastern woman looked over and she closed her eyes

"I respectfully speak to you, my War God that can break through any thing, lead me from the precious heaven. Give my petty body divine power of your grand body. Rescue them light of purification, sword of crushing evil. Sweep sword of suppression, sacred sword of conquest. It arrives here now by my order. Descend from heaven, rule the earth - shinbu touse Futsunomitama! "

A large purple circle appeared on the ground and a large beam went upwards. It caused the enemy to drop to the ground. She pushed more into it, as she saw arrows raining down on the enemies, taking them out.

Mikoto released the beam and took a deep breath. She then felt a creature fall down on the ground, when Asuka appeared with a medium length sword She sighed in relief. "Thank you."

She nodded and they kept fighting on.

They had to somehow reach the top of the floor. They reached the first floor, and both avoided a few arrows.

Lilli threw a few smoke bombs, causing the dark elves to cough.

Mikoto and Asuka took them out, while the Black Dogs kept fighting on the first floor.

Back with Bell, he rolled forward, aimed his hand open "Firebolt!" It took out a few enemies and he was finally inside of the tower. He saw Vult and Welf were going inside with him.

"We need to get to the top, quickly!"

They nodded and began to get on the move.

Just as they were reaching the first floor, more archers appeared.

"Firebolt!"

Bell released another fire attack, forcing the archers to back off. Then he saw some of the soldiers running right at them and fighting.

Vult shouted "We have to keep moving!"

Bell and Welf nodded, and kept running each floor. Bell took out two more elves, while Welf took out one of them. Vult tackled one of them, sending them flying out of the building.

Each floor was tougher than the next, as they kept fighting against both dark elves and monsters. They each pushed further up and up.

They finally reached the top of the floor. On the top were five elves in robes holding their hands up. They stopped and looked at the intruders.

"They have magic and look like they are ready to take us out…" Vult raises his large blade, ready on the defensive. He then saw Welf walking forward, unafraid. "Oi, get back here!"

Welf ignored him and looked ahead. The five robbed elves gave a dark smirk and their hands crackled with energy. All Welf did was outstretched his hand and said "Burn out, illegal work. Will O Wisp! "

The spells overloaded, causing the elves to collapse and the energy orb to overload, causing a forceful push. It caused everyone but Welf to collapse. The orb was gone and a vibration sound was heard.

In the dark castle
Olga saw a shard shattering into pieces, surprising her.

"One of the towers' power collapsed….impossible.."

She took out her orb to look and saw the tower was missing its orb.

"Chloe!"

She ran and appeared "Yes, mistress?"

"Are all of the citizens evacuated?"

"Yes ma'am."

She got serious. "Then rally every soldier we have available….we might end up having visitors."

She saluted and went to find more soldiers.

Olga sat on her throne, not believing this day was happening. How could this happen? She needed reinforcements soon. She began to focus on summoning the monsters to come at the castle. She focused on sending a signal for it.

She needed all the help she could get.

In another tower
Asfi threw another fiery beaker, and saw a glowing orb. She dived down the moment she saw lightning trying to hit her.

"Great…." She tried to find Ryuu, while avoiding more attacks. Then she saw a part of the wall explode, sending two monsters flying off. She saw Ryuu not far off. "Lyon!"

She looked at the teal colored captain of the Hermes familia.

"I found the power source. I will carry you and I need you to take it out!"

She nodded and jumped right at her, as Asfi caught her. She then saw they were flying fast and dodged a fireball attack and another lightning attack. She then tossed Ryuu into the hole, while she flew back on the ground.

Ryuu avoided the magical attacks and took out the few robbed elves. Two large Onis saw her and liked what they saw.

The green haired elf saw the monsters already harden, making her disgusted. She saw them charge and she took out a magical weapon, giving a horizontal attack. She saw the creatures collapse, as their top torso collapsed on the ground with green blood.

She then looked at the orb "In the sky of a now distant forest. Infinite stars scattered in the endless night sky. Respond to my foolish voice, give me now divine protection of starfire. Give the mercy of light to the one that abandoned you. Come, wandering wind, the wandering traveler. Cross the sky and run through the wilderness, run faster than anything else. Imbue the light of stardust and destroy the enemy. Luminous Wind"

A large, powerful wind overloaded the orb and it caused the same forceful push on her. A vibration was felt, now with more humming is heard.

"Hope the other two are able to make it."

In the other tower, Jin and Catue were double teaming against a large oni. But managed to slice the enemy down. Jin tackled the enemy and looked back. "Kin, the orb is there!"

Kin nodded and raised his hand "Let nature consume me, let bring forth its wrath and rage, let the world know what you have. Lightning Rage!"

He released a powerful lightning attack that was hitting the orb. He pushed his powers, focusing on the orb while Jinn and Catue fought off the enemies that were trying to stop Kin. He pushed more and more of his powers, until the orb forced a push on everyone. Then they felt a vibration and a ringing noise for a moment, until it was gone.

"One…more…." Kin was panting hard. It took a good chunk of his powers to do that. He was then helped up and saw it was Catue. "Thank you, princess."

She nodded and they left the building.

Last Tower

Lilli shot another of her crossbow arrows and kept moving. She, Mikoto, Asuka, and the other soldiers are close to the last floor. Lilli provided cover and tactical commands.

"Mikoto, two large brutes in the center!"

Mikoto jumped up and threw a few kunais, killing them immediately.

Asuka punched and knocked out an elf.

They kept moving up until they reached the last floor. They saw the orb and Lilli began to take out something on her bag quickly. She reached down and took out a magical sword she hadn't used.

"Mikoto, I need you to use your ability, and I will swing with all of its power on this weapon!"

She nodded ""I respectfully speak to you, my War God that can break through any thing, lead me from the precious heaven. Give my petty body divine power of your grand body. Rescue them light of purification, sword of crushing evil. Sweep sword of suppression, sacred sword of conquest. It arrives here now by my order. Descend from heaven, rule the earth - shinbu touse Futsunomitama!"

Lilli swung the moment the gravity attack was on the orb while the soldiers provided cover and protection. The orb absorbed its magic, overloading it, enough for it to give a shockwave, stumbling the people inside and a big vibration sound.

Outside of the perimeter a purple transparent protection was blinking. Then it shattered like a glass, opening up the dark castle.

"We did it! Set up a base camp, the moment we push them out!" Vult shouted.

The elves retreated as they were being overwhelmed by the forces.

Inside of the castle, Olga frowned. Her defenses are down. She hoped her back up monsters would arrive soon. For now, she will do everything she can to defend the castle.

With Hestia
Hestia, Hermes and Hephaestus were together. Hermes told of his findings surprising both women.

"So these Black Dogs are not really on our side." Hephaestus said.

"That's part of the information I gathered. Laurier is looking into one more piece of information I need, and we can present it to the queen and the others." Hermes responded.

Hestia nodded "Bell is with Vult…do you think that-"

"I doubt Bell would take Vult's offer. Knowing him, he will protect the dark elf queen and bring her here alive."

Hestia knew Bell wouldn't side with Vult if offered the deal. She shuddered at that man's plan. Enslaving women, and just doing nothing but sex. She already knew of a certain Entertainment District that already has prostitutes. Just on a larger scale disgust her.

"I don't like keeping this in the dark with the queen." the one eyes goddess said.

"Not to worry. Just need one more piece of information and then we can present it to them. Although some of the princesses would feel divided on the idea of it."

"The red head one…Maia." Hestia said.

He nodded "Yes. I know she was part of the Black Dogs in the past, and I know she is still smitten by the leader. She will have to either see the truth or be blinded by it."

"That is reasonable."

Then, a familiar elf appeared and she smiled "Lord Hermes, I think this might be it."

A/N: Well people, I will leave it here. I would say maybe two or three more chapters before the capture might do it. More fighting and more plans will be pushed.

So we will see how Bell will deal with Vult and the others. Of course, keep in mind that things could change mid-way on how the story is handled, so it all depends on how I will change my notes, to push Bell on loses and remorse.
