Warriors: Maplepaw's Redemption

Set in the former ThunderClan, now called FireClan, a she-cat named Redpoppy gives birth to two kits: Maplekit and Bloomkit-but she wasn't pregnant before they came. She didn't even have a mate. Maplepaw, now an apprentice, struggles to complete her warrior training while sinister voices whisper from the shadows, calling her to remember... Remember what?

48. Thanks for the Four Years (So Far)

I can't believe I first started Maplepaw's Redemption in 2020! Wow. And it's still not done!

Although I can say we're getting close. For those of you who've kept an ear out over the last four years for new chapters, a huge thanks! And to everyone who left a review, an even bigger thanks. I do read them, I'm just bad about replying-and doesn't have a super intuitive way to reply to them, anyway, IMO.

I like these characters, and FireClan as a whole. Between the new ceremony conventions, new warrior code, SkyClan dissolving long ago, the lore, the Lesser Oak Crash cats, and such, I think it's an interesting spin-off world, and I might do a sequel, possibly following Patchkit or Ravenkit, after Maplepaw's Redemption is done. (Hopefully that won't take another four years.)

And thanks for putting up with 's silly formatting issues. No indents, deleting spacing, and deleting asterisks or other symbols I use to denote an in-chapter break. Fun stuff... At least I finally learned that uploading chapters as a DocX rather than copy-and-paste preserves italics, although it doesn't preserve em dashes.

As usual, little inconsistencies here and there persist. I just realized Lynxpelt has changed genders multiple times.

Also, the Erins totally stole the idea of Frostpaw from me (jk). Frostpaw and Freezepaw have a very similar energy, although Freezepaw's got a bit of a steadier head on her shoulders than Frostpaw of RiverClan.
