The sun streamed through the window when Tsunade woke up again. Jiraiya stood by the crib, Naruto cradled against his bare chest. Well shit, Tsunade thought. It is completely unfair that he is that attractive holding a baby. She tried unsuccessfully not to stare. Jiraiya turned and saw her sitting up in bed.
"Oh, Tsuna, did I wake you, sorry," he muttered, trying to flip his loose hair out of his face. "It's fine," Tsunade said, "I was already awake. And I'm still doing better than you."
"That is true," Jiraiya answered. "The books weren't lying when they said you'll feel like you'll never sleep again."Smiling reassuringly at him she replied"That's why I'm here. We can tag team it."He chuckled "We always did make a good team," but then added seriously"This might be our hardest mission yet."
"That it might," Tsunade said. He walked to the kitchen and started preparing a bottle for Naruto. "Ah, Damn it! Tsuna, could you grab me a rag and a new onesie for Naruto?" She opened the drawers in search of a onesie and held up a green one with a big toad in the front smiling. "Please grab me some pants too, I almost forgot" he added. As she opened Jiraiya's wardrobe she wondered what might have happened for him to need to change his and Naruto's clothes. She grabbed him some black sweatpants and hurried to the kitchen.
What she did not expect, however, was Jiraiya being covered in vomit from the chest to his legs. Naruto had been set down on the counter with his clothes also full of vomit. Tsunade cringed "Go change yourself. I'll change Naruto". Jiraiya nodded and started pulling down his pants in the kitchen. "JIRAIYA, what are you doing!" he heard her yell with a red face. "Changing, as you said? I don't have time to go to my room or the milk on the stove will get too hot". She looked at his round bottom as he bent down and fixed his socks before sensually rising up with the new pair of pants. With a red face she tried to focus on changing baby Naruto.
Now with new pants Jiraiya collected his and Naruto's dirty clothes and put them in the washing machine coming back to the kitchen to take the milk and pour it in a bottle. "Hey little buddy. I got you some milk!" He caressed his left cheek with a big finger before letting him latch onto the bottle eagerly. Tsunade finished changing him while Jiraiya held the bottle to prevent it from falling down. She closed the last button of his onesie and took the bottle from Jiraiya's hand while picking up little Naruto. "Jira, can you please start making lunch or something? I'm starving" she pouted at him. How could he even resist this cute pout. Out of all the women he had known no one could make a pout that made him overthink all his decisions except Tsunade. "Yes darling, whatever makes you happy" was his reply. She chose to ignore his remark and started playing with little Naruto in her lap.
Poor Naruto was exhausted after playing so much with Tsunade and started closing his eyes slowly. "Good night Naru-chan" she smiled adoringly at him. He snuggled even closer to her chest and closed his eyes completely falling into a hopefully longer sleep. She walked with him in her arms to the kitchen table and put him in the portable crib so they could watch him while eating. She smelled the air "Wow, you didn't burn down the kitchen. This smells heavenly!" He continued cooking the broth "This is my favourite ramen recipe. I'm glad you like it." When it was ready he added the noodles and put two plates on the table. "Itadakimasu" they said in unison. Slowly but surely the stress of taking care of Naruto started taking its toll on both adults. Tsunade started leaning closer to her teammate until their shoulders touched and she could lean her head slightly on him. "Let's go sleep some after lunch, I'll wash the plates" he offered her seeing as she was almost sleeping. "No I'll help you, we're a team. Remember?" she insisted. They washed up the plates, he washed and she stored them in the respective cupboards.
"Come on let's go to sleep before he wakes." He touched her shoulder and guided her to bed "I'll sleep on the couch, you sleep with him in bed." Tsunade placed Naruto carefully on the bed and looked back to him "Jira, just sleep here. It's easier and more comfortable, we can sleep on either side of him so he won't roll off the bed and stays warm." He nodded thankful for not having to sleep on the couch and he walked to his wardrobe to change into a pair of pijamas "Uh, hime? Do you want to put your clothes in my wardrobe? It might be more comfortable for you to get them out instead of having to bend down every time to get it from your suitcase..." She looked to him "Hm, if you don't mind, yeah why not. Thank you" and started to unpack her few belongings and clothes neatly storing them in his half empty wardrobe.
While she was putting her clothes aside Jiraiya grabbed his toad-patterned pants and a tank top and pulled his pants down. "Jiraiya! Again, have you no shame changing like that!" she whisper-shouted at him with a flushed face. "But hime, how many times did you heal me in just underwear. It's not that embarrassing, we're teammates and have seen far more embarrassing stuff than that. Remember the time when you started your period at my house and got really bad cramps that I had to go buy you painkillers and pads? I really don't mind you looking at me anyways" he smirked at his last sentence. "You baka! But well I see your point, just don't ogle me like you do every girl at the hot springs and we're good. Okay?" she looked at him with a serious face. "Your wish is my order hime!" he saluted her like a soldier just in his underwear. "Okay but now please put on some pants" she laughed at him as he got red realising he was in underwear the whole time. She disrobed quickly and was taking off her pants when she saw Jiraiya stare at her "Jiraiya, what did I tell you? Please don't look at me like I'm a piece of meat." He apologised profusely and said "Tsuna, I'm sorry if I make you uncomfortable, I was just admiring you. It's just that you've grown even more beautiful since I last saw you." She finished putting on her matching, fluffy pink pijamas and hugged him around the waist "Thank you, you big teddy bear! That means a lot to me. You've grown more handsome too since I last saw you" she murmured into his chest hiding her red face. He sputtered and hugged her even stronger to him thanking her shyly but with a wide smile on his red face "Thanks Tsuna!" She let go of him and gave him a short peck on the cheek leaving to walk to the other bedside and got under the covers, pulling Naruto closer to her body "Good night, Naru-chan. Good night, Jira". "Night night Tsuna" and both fell into a deep sleep.
