Told you guys that I am on a roll, took a little bit longer than I wanted but due to anxiety about KOSA (please guys sign petions and call people so it won't pass) and work I was a bit slower than I wanted.
Anyway, I do hope you all like this chapter! And warning, Ghidorah being a creep, he is a creep in this!
"It wasn't always like this," a chirp escapes from her as she looks up, staring at her guardian with her blue eyes. The first few days of her life were cold, and harsh. Her parents didn't care for her, as her feathers show that she was different. Instead of the red feathers that all Volcas were born with, which will harden when soaked in the lava of the volcano they were born in, she had pure black feathers.
She remembers her brother, Rodan, he was the only reason that she was still alive. Sneaking meganulons under their parents eyes for her to feed, making sure she stay away from their parents eyes so they wouldn't get any ideas. And then the humans attacked, causing the volcano that she and Rodan were born to erupt. The two of them, even without the hardening of their scales were able to escape, undetected. Their parents, unfortunately were not that lucky. Their mother's wing had been damage and she had fallen hard, snapping her neck once she hit the ground. Their father, not wanting to live without her, had dived down into a lava flow and drowned himself.
Rodan and her had tried to find a new volcano to call home, but the both of them had been separated by a storm. She didn't know what had happened to Rodan, she pray to Gaia that he was still alive. But for her, she had been found by a kind Titan by the name of King Caesar. A large Titan with golden brown scales with a golden mane. His two triangular ears were standing straight up, listening for any sound, for anything that could harm them.
"It wasn't always like this. We had a good standing with the humans as they too were Gaia's Children as much as we are…they had worshiped us as Gods but we had lived in peace with them. But then they tried to enslave us…control us for W+warfare…the King at the time, King Goro was enraged by this and it trigger a war between are two kinds until both sides were decimated and the ice age was started, forcing us to withdraw into deep hibernation while the humans scatter, there temples and cities they had build abandoned,"
The young volca flaps her wings, "Will…will we get along with humans one day? Will they ever stop shooting pain at us?"
"I do not know my Young Melody…" King Caesar sighs, closing his eyes, "I pray to Gaia that one day we will. Maybe if she returned," he shakes his head, "Before the War began, Mother Gaia left but a human swore they heard a mysterious voice called out to them to say, "Tell that that the Great Mother Gaia has died," When the humans heard the news, they believed it, not caring that when King Goro still felt a connection to her, not caring when King Aurora was accepted as the next King herself..they began to pillage the world ever since," Melody watches as her guardian turns away from the sunset, "We just have to have hope Young Melody. That one day, the humans who respect us, who do not fear us, will one day over come the ones who fear and want to use us…we just have to have a little bit of faith,"
Melody groans, her blue eyes opening as she heard beeps over her head. Grimacing in pain, she slowly sat up, gasping as her hand pressed against her lower stomach, her eyes widened in horror. She swallows, trembling in grief, before she takes a deep breath, pushing it away as she pushes herself off the bed.
"Anything on the satellites?" Melody heard Foster asked as she limps into the command center of the Argo, all of the people were marching around, doing work.
"Subs have Godzilla hauling ass off Argentina. And from his readings he is piss," Stanton sighs, walking over to the screens that showed the map and a large storm, "We lost Monster Zero in a tropical storm over Brazil. Scanning the entire Southern Hemisphere. So far, nothing," Serizawa sighs at this, an arm wrapped around Graham as he holds onto her close.
"Then scan the Northern," Foster orders making Stanton sighs and nods his head. She then turns to Sam, eyes narrow, "I know what I saw, Sam," she places her hands down on the table, "And I'm telling you, she pulled the trigger,"
San shakes his head in disbelief, "All due respect, Colonel, you saw wrong. Okay, she wouldn't have done it. Christ, she recruited pretty much everyone in this room!"
"Maybe Jonah forced her?" Stanton tried to reason, "Right? Maybe use Madison as leverage,"
"No…it had to be someone else,"
"Emma," everyone turns to Mark, who had been sitting in the corner of the room, hands covering his eyes, "It was Emma," he whispers, slowly standing up, "Foster saw it right…It was her. No one forced her to…she released that thing…and it ate Izuku," a sob broke out of him, and Graham gently pulled away from Serizawa, going to him to wrap him in a hug. A cry broke out and Melody turned to see Hitoshi sobbing, Hotaru holding him close while Neito held his shoulder in a gentle squeeze, glaring at Sam.
"Use your damn head you fucking idiot," Neito snaps, standing up with red eyes, tears streaming down his face, "and not your smaller one!" Hotaru gently grabs his hand, pulling him back down and wrapping her arm around him.
Everyone was silent, before Foster sighs, "First, she released Mothra, and now Monster Zero," she turns to the others, "Anyone else sensing a pattern here?"
Chen nodded her head, "Yes, and not a good one. Its as of she is trying to start a mass awakening," Melody turns her head to Angilas who was frowning, his yellow filled with concern and fear.
"Well, its just too bad that no one warned you that that was going to happen!" Mark growls, glaring at Chen who narrows her eyes.
"Hang on, guys," Sam sputters, grimacing when Neito glares at him, "Why the hell would she want to release them? And why would she team up with Jonah, of all people, to do it?"
"We'll ask her," Serizawa stated, his shoulders slumped, "when we find her. So, lets keep looking,"
Being in a Titan's mouth was never an experience Izuku thought she would ever be in. But here she was, sitting on the monster's tongue and praying that Monster Zero didn't get the urge to swallow. "But I guess since he hasn't done it yet he doesn't plan to," she thought, covering her nose with one hand.
The smell was just bad, terrible. It was old, rotten, warm and just completely slimy. Drool dripping down from the roof of his mouth and onto her head. It was the worst thing she had ever smell, worse when some kids at school had forced her head into a portable toilet at a school fair, or when someone had put some sort of roadkill in her locker. And the smell seems to get worse the more she was trapped in the mouth. She didn't know how long she had been in here, maybe an hour…or two but it seems longer. Monster Zero was still flying to who knows where.
It was when she felt the sensation of diving and the loud thud of landing that kicked her out of the light daze, she had been in. Izuku's head snapped up, her eyes wide when the teeth caging her opened up and she was dropped not all to gentle onto the ground. She gasps, taking not only deep breaths of fresh air, but also of pain. As the piece of metal was still stuck in her side, making it hard for her to sit up. But she did, pushing herself up to see that she was on some sort of island. Surrounded by miles and miles of water, with no other land in sight.
A bright light shined behind her, and she turns her head over her shoulder to stare, watching as the three headed hydra began to shrink. The light was too much, and Izuku had to bring her arm up to block the offending light. But when it died down, she couldn't help but recoil at the sight of the man that stood before her. The hydra was now human shaped, but his skin was unnaturally pale, so pale that she could see golden veins. Instead of regular fingernails there were golden claws at the end of his fingers. It was his face that made Izuku grimace, for it looked like three faces mushed into one. Three pairs of red eyes stare at her, two in the front, two on the right, and two on the left. The mouth, which was grinning at her, was spread wide across his face.
"Welcome to your new home hatchling," the middle of the man's mouth moves as he spoke, slowly walking towards Izuku. She glares at the man, who slowly stalked towards her, his two tails swaying behind his, making a rattling sound, "Oh look at that fire in your eyes. It's the very same I have seen in my beloved King's eyes," the right side of the mouth began to speak, the voice slightly changing to have a growl to it, "the only thing wrong is that you are in a body of a worm…but that can and will be fixed," the left mouth then began to move, a slight giggle in his voice, "Though we have to grabbed our King first to do so…but soon…very soon we will have him~"
"Get away from me!" Izuku hisses trying to scramble away, but she was lifted up by Monster Zero, carried bridal style into the cave. The whole place was lit up by torches, the walls marked by scratches that were placed on the stone many years ago, by something big, something not human. She couldn't help but shiver as he carries her through the dark cave. Even with the torches, there was no feeling of warmth, no feeling of being safe.
Not in this place.
To her confusion, he passed through a stone archway that opened up into a large chamber, exotic sea creatures were carved into the walls, and oil lamps cast a golden glow. In the back was a small, streaming pool. Izuku stares as Monster Zero gently set her down, "But first, we need to get you cleaned off and properly dress," and with those words, he grabs the piece of metal and pulls it from her body.
Izuku couldn't help but cry out, feeling great pain as blood began to flow through the wound. Closing her eyes, trembling as tears stream down she growls, her hands closing into little fist, wanting nothing more than to slam one in his face. But she didn't have time to do so as his claws began to tear at her clothes, easily tearing them like it was paper, "Stop that!" she shrieks trying to cover herself up. But soon, the clothes that were made for subzero weather were torn from her body, making her bare. Monster Zero snorts, throwing away the tatter remains and turns to her. Glaring, Izuku wraps her arms around herself, trying to stay modest, but she yelps as he grabs her arm, pulling her towards the steaming pool.
The water was thankfully not too hot as she was shoved into it. The water reached her waist, but it licked at her ears when she was shoved down to sit. Izuku glares at him, watching as he grabs some sort of fruit that was sitting beside the pool, easily breaking it in half and scooping up a glop of the juice that was inside and began running it through her hair, across her body. She tries to pull away, to break from his hard grip but he just chuckles washing it hard, his golden claws scratching at her scalp.
Izuku then screams as the man, Titan, washed hard against her arms and legs, her skin breaking a bit and bleeding slightly. Trying to pull away, Izuku swings her hand, the palm stinging as she slaps his face. Both stood still, staring with wide eyes before Monster Zero growls, grabbing her by the hair and shoving her down.
With her head under the water, Izuku thrashes, grabbing at the hand that had a hold of her head and tries to pull it off. Her lungs burn for air, to be able to breath. She kicked and scratched as her chest started to hurt, her heart beating rapidly and louder in her ears…when her body started to feel heavy, when she started to lose feeling, she was pulled up. Coughing and sputtering she breaths in deeply, gasping for precious air as if afraid that she would be shoved once more into the water's deathly grip. The hand holding onto her hair pulled slightly, making her whimper in pain, "Are you going to be a good hatchling and listen to your father?" Izuku shivers in disgust at the thought of calling this monster father, but she nods her head, "I want a verbal response hatchling,"
Sobbing a bit, Izuku takes another deep breath, "Y-yes, father," she whispers, shoulders trembling as the hand lets go of her hair.
"Good, girl," he praises, patting her on the head before he goes back to cleaning her. She didn't know how long she sat in the pool, anytime she tried to struggle, tried to pull away, he would grab her arm, and squeeze it tightly. Afraid that he would break her arm, she stops and stood still. Finally, she was pulled out, shivering as cold brush against her skin. A soft towel was wrapped around her. It was definitely not made of cotton, but the fabric easily absorbed the water much better than the thin towels they used at the orphanage.
Once she was dried, the towel was wrapped around her and she was gently lifted up once more. Cradle close to his golden armor covered chest he walked out of the chamber. Izuku took a deep breath and looked around, trying to memorize which way they were going so she could find a way out, but Monster Zero chuckled, heading towards some black curtains that she figured hid another chamber.
When he pushes past them he rumbles, "Here we are. This is going to be your room now hatchling. It is connected to mine, so if you ever need your father or your mama when we get him, all you have to do is call us.
And that would be something Izuku would never do. Despite her fear, Izuku looked up, wanting to know what the room looked like. Only to be disgusted and horrified to see a bedroom fitting a little kid. The stone floor was covered in plush furs, with murals of the stars and the moon on the wall, short bookshelves filled with scrolls and a massive toy box filled to the brim. There was a large pile of pillows and blankets in the middle of the room, surrounded by metal post circling with a sheer golden canopy hanging that was drawn back.
"Crib…that's a crib…this is a nursery…" Izuku thought as she was set down. Wrapping her arms around herself, Izuku glares up at him as he heads over to a dresser, pulling out some clothes, "I am not a baby!" she growls, face burning red as Monster Zero chuckles, "This is really demeaning and cruel!"
"Oh, but you are a baby hatchling!" the left head's voice, Kevin's, giggles, "You are our baby, mine and our Broken King's baby...no one else," he walked over and kneels beside her. She hisses in pain as she began to wrap her side up in bandages. Izuku didn't struggle with him doing that. While the bleeding had stop and the wound clean from the weird juice from the fruit, it could still get infected if it wasn't covered up. Once he was done with the bandages, he grabs her by the wrist and pulls her up. The clothing he got was put over her head and he pulled it down. Frowning, Izuku looks at the white gown, almost made of silk, fully on her. It fitted her perfectly, going to her ankles but had no sleeves, showing her arms bare. "Oh look at you…so perfect…soon you will be a proper Goddess that will rule this pathetic dirt ball in my place when my time comes," he chuckles and Izuku stares at him in confusion before she was once more picked up, carried over, placed onto the soft pillows. Before she could push herself up, he grabs some shackles and chains that she hadn't notice. She struggles trying to get away but soon found her neck, wrist and ankles chained, the ends attached to the ground. It gave her room to roam around the chamber, but Izuku knew that she wouldn't be allowed to leave, at all.
"Why do you want me?" Izuku asked, staring at him in confusion, "What's so special about me…you killed those other humans…you almost ate one,"
Monster Zero chuckles, "Oh you have a lot to learn my dear hatchling. You see you're very special~" he grabs her wrist and turns her hand over, showing the patch of scales on the palm of her hand, "This…is the mark that shows that you are Godzilla's heir, that you shall be the next King of Monsters," he chuckles, "Though Junior is doing it all wrong. He didn't take you away from those worms " he snarls out the word, as if he ate the most disgusting thing, "to start your training, to change you into the great being you are meant to be,"
"But why me?" Izuku asked looking up. But then she stood still as she stared at his red eyes. They were so warm, pink swirling in the sea of red. She yawns, her eyes growing heavy and she didn't fight as Monster Zero gently pushed her down. She tried to fight off the sleeping feeling, but it felt like she was floating, only the clouds holding her up and that if she focused she will slip through and fall to her death. She knew that wasn't possible, she wasn't in the sky but in some sort of nursery in a mountain on an island, but this…was so different from Hitoshi's mind control. Stronger.
And it was so hard to fight it when you felt so comfortable. Izuku wiggles a bit, embarrassment running through her but she yawns. She was so tired, and the pillows were the softest she had ever felt, much better than the lumpy mattress she had at the orphanage. But still she whines, trying to keep her eyes open, even though they felt so heavy. She couldn't fall asleep, who knew what Monster Zero would do to her if she did. But she looks up with half closed eyes as he places a plush rabbit beside her. It looked so soft, and comforting, she couldn't stop herself from grabbing it, wrapping her arms around it and holding it close to her.
Cooing at the sight, making Izuku's cheeks burn red as she buries her face into the toy, "Sleep, well hatchling," he whispers, pulling a blanket over her and tucking her in, "When you wake I will have your mother here," he grins, "And then we can be a one big happy family,"
Izuku mummers at that, couldn't speak with how heavy her tongue felt, but watches as he stood up, going to the oil lamps and turning them off, leaving the nursery dark save for the glowing fireflies that flew across the ceiling of the chamber. She trembles a bit, feeling tears falling down her face, but she felt pure exhaustion wash over her and she lost the fight to keep awake. Her eyes slowly close, her last thought was a silent plea.
"Help,"
"I'm coming, Pup…just hold on," Godzilla or better known as Junior thought as he swam through the ocean, trying to find Ghidorah. If he found Ghidorah, he would find his pup. He growls, trying to push the images of what Ghidorah was doing to her right now.
"Godzilla appears to be following the same path as Emma's osprey," Hotaru frowns, her red eyes watching Foster, wondering what was happening to Izuku. Was she eaten? Was she already being digested? She remembers when the small child was brought to Odo orphanage, scared and alone, thinking her life was over because of her Quirkless status…Hotaru didn't give a crap. She knew many Quirkless people on the streets who were badasses, who could beat down anyone. Some were the one taught her to steal, to pickpocket, which helped get them money either from the streets or from snitching away the matron's beer money that was supposed to go to them. "Outpost 56 in Isla de Mara, Mexico. We touch down there in 10 minutes,"
"What about the people?" Mark asked, shoulders tense, "The people. The people down there in that village that don't realize they're gonna be the special of the day,"
"We've sent G-Team to begin evacuation," Serizawa stated, "Led by Angilas…the people will be safe, I promise,"
"Dr. Serizawa," they all turned when an Officer calls, "we have a call on the emergency channel from Isla de Mara,"
"Answer it,"
Hotaru tenses, grabbing Neito's and Hitoshi's hands when Dr. Russel appeared on the screen. Her red eyes narrow at the woman that got her sister in all but blood killed, "I suppose I should go first,"
"Where's Madison?" Mark demands, all but growling out. Hotaru could see that his shoulders slump in relief as his twelve year old daughter appeared on the screen, "She's right here with me,"
"Dad, are you okay?"
"Madison, you alright hon?" he asked, ignoring her question. Madison's yellow eyes looked at him, tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry,"
"You don't need to be-" Hotaru frowns at the way that Dr. Russel leans forward, whispering in her ear. It reminded her so much of the times when her own mother was lucid, sober and not drunk off her ass. When she said what she was doing was for the best of them, for the world.
"She's fine, Mark, trust me,"
"Trust you?" Melody growls, and Hotaru could see the pain and rage flashing in her blue eyes, "Trust is a little hard to come by, Emma. Especially after what you pulled,"
Foster nods her head, crossing her arms, "Couldn't have said it better,"
"I know," she rubs her face, a tired look on it, "And I can only imagine what you're all thinking. But if there were any other way to do this, I would. If I had known Izuku was alive,"
"What does Izuku have to do with this?" Hitoshi stood up, arms trembling as he curled his hands into fists. "What does it matter when she got eaten by that…that thing that you released.
"She wasn't eaten…and what I'm doing is saving the world," Emma said, her blue eyes flashing in bit of annoyance at Hitoshi.
"But by releasing those things? That doesn't make sense," Emma raises an hand, and Mark goes quiet.
As impossible as it seems, it does. Hear me out, Mark. After we lost…Andrew, I swore his death would not be in vain. That I would find an answer…a solution to why the Titans were rising. But as I dug deeper, I realized that they were here for a reason and that despite all the years that we spent trying to stop them, we never dared to confront the truth,"
"Which truth…" Mark asked, staring at his ex.
"Humans have been the dominant species for thousand of years, and looks what happened. Overpopulation, pollution, war. The mass extinction we feared has already begun…and Gaia knows it,"
"Gaia…who is Gaia?" Dr. Stanton asked, looking at Dr. Chen, before he yelps when she stabs him with her Quirk, which made earphone jacks grow out of her ears.
"Gaia, or better known as Mother Gaia from the transcripts I read, is the God of all Titans. More of a spirit of light and peace, the very earth herself," the screen shows a picture of a mural, of what looked like a giant green bird, "She protected the world, seeing the Titans as her children…she had four favorites though," Emma explained, "The Skullongs," a picture of Kong showed up, "The Volcas," Melody tenses seeing a picture of Rodan, "The Garakis or Divine Moths," A picture of the larva form of Mothra appear, "And finally the Gojiras," a picture of Godzilla appeared next, "They helped her keep the balance from her opposite, Uranus,"
"Why is this sounding like Greek Mythology," Neito whispers and Hotaru shrugs.
"Uranus was the opposite of Gaia, the God of the Sky and Chaos...every thousand of years, these two great beings fought, which determined the fate of the world. And there are signs of infection that Uranus brings to the world, showing that the battle draws near…the Dawn of Quirks was one, and now we, humans are the infection. But like all living organisms, the Earth, Gaia unleashed a fever to fight the infection. Its original and rightful rulers, the Titans. They are part of Gaia's natural defense system, a way to protect the planet, to maintain its balance," Emma sighs, closing her eyes, "But if governments are allowed to contain them, destroyed them, or use them for war, the human infection will only continued to spread and Uranus will get stronger and bring darkness to our planet, and within our lifetime, our planet will perish and so will we. Unless we restore the balance,"
"And what's going to be left, if you do this? And you still haven't answer our question on why Izuku is so important,"
"Its because of the mark on her hand!" Emma growls, "We all know that when Izuku was four, she met Godzilla and touched him, gaining the patch of black scales on the palm of her hand. We never knew what it meant but I found out. Gaia while having favorites…had a Chosen. A Gojira, who keeps all the other Titans in check, keeps the balance between them, the peace and thus they become the King of them all. Godzilla is the current King, his mother Auroura was the King before him, and the first Titanus Gojira to appear before humanity, Goro, was the King before her. Izuku is the next King,"
"Uh…problem with that," Dr. Stanton points out, "Izuku is a human and well…she got swallowed,"
"She wasn't swallowed," Emma growls, "The Titans will never harm Izuku. At least not on purpose or until she is transformed. Izuku may be human now but she always won't be. At a certain age, she will be transformed into a Gojira herself,"
Everyone stares at her, Melody growling under her breath and placing a hand to her face, "Are you out of your mind?" Rick asks eyes widen in shock, "How in the world do you think-"
"Because Aurora was once human," Emma stated, making all of Monarch go silent in shock, "From manuscripts and scrolls she was once a human that lived on an island called Fylo Island," Emma shakes her head, "It was a fascinating reading, about how she and a small group of her family were force to flee, how she transformed for the first time, how she took over, taking the title of King from Goro. But enough of that, every few years, Gaia choses a human to one day become a Gojira, to become the King, to establish balance between Titans and humans, for even if we are the children of Uranus, Gaia still loves us and wants us to be at peace. That's why I know Monster Zero didn't eat Izuku, because she is the Princess of Monsters. I created the ORCA after San Francisco because I thought Izuku died alongside Inko..without Izuku the world will be destroyed, so the Titans need to wake up"
"Okay," Dr. Stanton looks at her crazy, "And what's going to be left, after you wake them all up? A dead, charred world, overrun by monsters. Newflash Emma, not all the Titans like humans, especially if we are somehow the children of this Uranus,"
"No Dr. Stanton, the exact opposite. Just like how a forest fire replenishes the soil, or how a volcano creates new land, we have seen signs that these creatures will do the same. San Francisco, Las Vegas, wherever the Titans go, life follows, trigger by their radiation. They are the only thing that can reverse the destruction that we started. They are the only guarantee that life will carry on. But for that t happen, we must set them free"
"You are murdering the world," Chen hisses.
"No," Emma shakes her head, "Because as difficult as this will be, I promise humanity will not go extinct, especially since now Izuku lives. Using the ORCA, we will return to a natural order. A forgotten order where we coexisted in balance with the Titans. The first Gods to humanity,"
"This is a dangerous path," Serizawa stands up, looking at Emma in disappointment, "You are meddling with forces beyond our comprehension. Gambling with the lives of billions!"
"And what are you gambling with, Serizawa?" Emma snaps, shaking her head, "Monarch is broken. Its on the verge of being shut down by the governments whose only objective is to eradicate the creatures. And if that happens, what will our chances be?"
"You are out of your goddamn mind!" Mark yells, stomping over to the scren, "First, you put our daughter's life in danger and now you get to decide the fate of the world? That's rich, Emma!"
"I couldn't be more sane, and Madison couldn't be stronger," Emma crosses her arms, "After we lost Andrew…and you when to become an alcoholic, I trained her to survive. And at least now she will have a fighting chance,"
"A fighting chance?" Mark stares at his ex with wide eyes, staring at her with disbelief, "Why don;t you listen to yourself? Its not all math, Emma. Some things, you can't control,"
"And there are some things you can't run from,"
Mark glares, grabbing a hold of a table as he leans forward, "This won't bring him back to us,"
To many other people, they would see great sadness on Dr. Russel's face, but Hotaru didn't see any of that. In her blue eyes, she saw annoyance and anger, anger that they didn't see things her way, that they wouldn't listen to her, "I can only urge you all to take refuge. Over the last 60 years, Monarch has prepared bunkers around the world to save and restart civilization. I suggest you find them," and with that the screen goes black.
"That bitch," Chen curses, shaking her head.
"Agreed," Hotaru remarks.
"How long until this thing lands," Mark shakily asks.
"Three minutes,"
"You might want to rethink that," Dr. Stanton said, making them all turn towards him, "Something's not right. Check this out," he points to the screen, "Emma is not at Isla de Mara. I mean, the signal's too weak to be local. She's bouncing it off our satellites. They must be holed up in one of our old bunkers, could be anywhere,"
Hotaru frowns at this, walking over, and wondering if she may be able to find out where the signal was coming from when an alarm beeps, "What's that?"
"Oh jesus," Sam whispers, staring at the monitor in horror, "She shut down the containment system," he runs his hands through his hair, "She's releasing Rodan,"
