Sakura, Sora, & the Mysterious Brooch

(Sora's POV)
*It's been a whole day since we captured the Thunder Card & met Sayroan. Today, we just arrived at school. Sakura was still feeling a little depressed about what Sayroan said. I've tried cheer her up, but nothing seems to work. As we were walking up the stairs to get to class, I heard a voice behind me that made my heart skip a beat & Kenji's. We both turned around to face them*
Tomoyo: Morning, Sakura!
Kenji: Morning.
Sakura: Morning, Tomoyo. Kenji.
Sora: Good morning.
Tomoyo: You don't look very happy, Sakura. Didn't you have a good sleep?
Sakura: Well, uh . . . Not really.
Kenji: Are you still upset about what happened last night?
*She didn't say anything.
(Flashback)
Syaoran: God of Lightning, come to my aid! *he fired his own bolt of lightning at Thunder & they collided. Thunder then landed on the roof* You catch it once it's become Raijū the Thunder Beast. Don't you even know that? *Thunder stepped towards us. I tried to think of a plan as it got closer* C'mon, you fools! Wind can't stand up against Thunder!
*Then he blew it away with a swing of his sword*
(Present Time)
Sora: But Sakura, remember. We still captured the card. Even with that jerk's help.
Tomoyo: That's right. You both still completely fulfilled your mission as the Cardcaptors.
Kenji: You guys are real live superheroes! Not like that stuck-up know-it-all. So you should be happy.
Sakura: C'mon, you guys. You're exaggerating. I'm not that good.
*Then I remembered what Sayroan said to us after we captured the card*
(Flashback)
Syaoran: Those are the Staffs of the Seal. But you're sure don't know anything, do you? Anyway, as it stands. You two are not capable of collecting the Clow Cards.
*He started to leave*
Sora: Hey! *he turned to me* Just because you're a descendant of the creator of the Clow Cards, that doesn't give you the right to decide if we can collect the cards or not! This was our decision to make! No one else's. Especially not some wannabe sorcerer!
Sayroan: What was that!?
Sora: You heard me! We'll prove to you how wrong you are!
*We glared at each other for a few seconds. Then he scoffed & stomped away*
(Present Time)
*Sakura started to look sad again*
Sakura: But the thing is, if Li hadn't given us that advice, I don't how things would have turned out.
Sora: They probably would have turned out like they always do. *she looked at me* We've always managed to capture the cards by figuring out what to do along the way & by working together. And we'll keep doing it. No matter what Li says.
*Sakura gave me a sad smile & we all went to the classroom*
Sakura: Morning!
Tomoyo: Good morning!
Sora: Good morning!
Kenji: Morning!
*Rika was putting a vase of flowers on the cabinet*
Rika: Good morning, guys.
Sakura: Morning, Rika.
*She went to her desk & sighed as she put her bag down. We all went to our desks. Just then, Rika gave her a pink flower*
Rika: You don't look very happy, so I brought you this.
Sakura: Rika . . . *she took the flower & smiled* Thank you.
*I smiled too. She may not know what's going on, but I'm glad she was able to help cheer her up. Rika smiled back & walked away*
Sora:*in his mind* Rika's always so kind and mature. She's such a kind person.
*Just then, his royal-pain-in-the-neck, Sayroan, came into the room. Sakura got nervous as he came up to the desk behind her. He just stared at us as he put his bag down*
Sakura: Uh . . . Well . . . Uh, thanks . . . For yesterday. *he looked surprised by the gesture* We . . . We were able to catch the card . . . Thanks to all the things that you told us.
Sayroan: You've got to know at least that much if you're going to catch the Clow Cards.
*She flinched & I glared at him. Why did he have to be such a jerk*
Sakura: Um . . . The clothes you had on yesterday were really cool. Is that how everyone dresses in Hong Kong?
Sora: Sakura, I highly doubt that.
Sakura: Oh! What I mean is . . . Sora & I had a dream about a boy wearing green clothes just like that, you see? So it surprised me to see you wearing the same thing.
*Sayroan nearly jumped out his seat*
Syaoran: These were the Li Family ceremonial clothes. You two could'nt possibly know about them.
Sora: We didn't know about them. She just said that we saw them in a dream.
Sayroan: Are you saying your magic powers enable you to dream of the future?
I was about to tell him yes, when a boy our age with black hair, brown eyes, & wearing the same uniform as me & Kenji came over to us*
Yamazaki: Li.
Sakura: Yamazaki.
Yamazaki: I know you're an exchange student, but you're on duty.
Sayroan: On duty?
Yamazaki: Yeah. That means doing things like cleaning the blackboard, writing up the journal, singing songs during school breaks, and dancing too. *I rolled my eyes. he's telling one of his stories again. I learned a long time ago not to believe them, but it's not the same story for Sakura* All kinds of things like that.
Sayroan: You mean students have to do all that at schools in Japan?
*Yamazaki nodded. I decided not to tell a Sayroan he was making it up. Just for laughs*
Sakura:*whispering* Was part of our duty singing songs and dancing as well?
Sora:*whispering* No.
Yamazaki: So, first of all, let's clean the blackboard. *Kenji & I chuckled as we watched Yamazaki take Sayroan up to the board* You have to sing as soon as you finish.
*Sayroan just looked at him in confusion*
*Later, during our last class of the day, Sakura & I both fell asleep & dreamed the same dream we saw two nights ago*
Kenji:*whispering* Sora?
Tomoyo:*whispering* Sakura?
Sora: Who are you?
Sakura: Who are you?
Mr. Terada: Sakura! Sora! *we both woke up & jumped out of our seats* Have you both had enough sleep?
*We both got embarrassed*
Sakura: Um . . . Yes . . . No, I mean.
Sora: Sorry, sir.
Mr. Terada: Well now. Make sure you both get enough sleep tonight. Homeroom's now over. Okay, that's all for today.
Female Student #1: Goodbye, Mr. Terada!
Mr. Terada: Make sure you do your homework.
All: We will!
Female Student #2: Goodbye, Mr. Terada!
Mr. Terada: Take care! Don't run!
Sora:*in his mind* That same dream again. What does it mean?
*I then looked at Rika, who got out her chair & just stared at Mr. Terada with pink cheeks. Tomoyo & Kenji then came up to us*
Tomoyo: What's the matter?
Sakura: Oh, nothing at all.
*Suddenly, Sayroan got up from his seat with a loud thud. Then he just stared at us for a few seconds & left*
Kenji: What's his problem?
Sora: I've been trying to figure that out since the day I met him.
Tomoyo: Li must make you nervous sitting right behind you both. *Sakura nodded* Oh. Do you guys have any free time today?
Sakura: Yeah. Sora and I don't have to make dinner today, you see? Dad's gonna be late at the University and Touya's working too.
Sora: And we don't have practice today either.
Kenji: So we're all free.
Tomoyo: Rika said her Mom's found a really nice store. Would you like to all go together?
*Sakura was quiet for a moment &
Sakura: Thanks a lot. *she turned to me & Kenji* You guys too. *we all looked confused* I haven't really been very chirpy today, so you've all been trying so hard to cheer me up. Thanks a lot.
Sora: You know I'll always be there for you, Sakura.
Tomoyo: You don't have to thank me. I just want to spend as much time with you all as possible, that's all.
*I blushed at Tomoyo's smile, but Kenji quickly snapped me out of it.
Kenji: Yeah. What are friends for?
*Suddenly, a mop appeared in our faces. It was Yamazaki*
Yamazaki: Just a reminder, you guys have to stay here and finish your cleaning duties.
Sakura: Uh . . . Yeah.
Sora: Thanks Yamazaki.
*After we finished cleaning, we all walked with Rika to a pretty little antique store*
Rika: This is it. *the girls seemed to be in awe of it. We went inside & saw it was full of old toys, old dinnerware, old furniture, & lots of other antiques* Sakura, do you like stores like this?
Sakura: Yeah! *she went to look at a pink lamp* There's so many nice things.
*She went to look around some more*
Sora: Thanks for letting us come along with you, Rika.
Tomoyo: Yes. Sakura's just seemed so down today.
Rika: No. Not at all. I was worried about her too.
*We all went to look at a case of antique pins*
Kenji: Wow, cool.
Sakura: That's so cute.
Tomoyo: It really is.
Sakura: Oh!
*She picked up a heart shaped one*
Sora: That would look good on you, Sakura.
Sakura: Yeah, I would like it, but . . . Um . . .
Rika: Are you gonna get it?
Sakura: Yeah! I just got my allowance. *she started to cry* Although, I won't be able to buy any candy for a while.
*Tomoyo picked up a cross shaped one*
Tomoyo: I'm gonna get this one.
Rika: Oh, that one's cute, too.
*I blushed as I imagined her wearing it*
Tomoyo: Yeah, I've been wanting a brooch, too.
*Kenji picked up a flower shaped one*
Kenji: I know my Mom would love this one.
Tomoyo: It's perfect for her. She loves flowers.
Rika: Okay. I'm gonna get this one.
*She picked up a brooch that looked like a European Rapier with a winged hilt & guard on it's handle, a gem was mounted in between the hilt-wings, & another gem as its pommel*
Tomoyo: Ooh, a pin brooch.
Sakura: That'll look good in you, Rika.
Sora: Very pretty.
*She just smiled*
*Later, we all arrived at our house. Sakura went upstairs to tell Kero not come down since Rika was here. I made tea*
Tomoyo: Would you like some help?
*I blushed at her asking*
Sora: Oh! N - No! I got it! Thanks.
*She smiled at me & I blushed even harder. I set the tea down on the table in front of Rika, who was on the couch with Kenji*
Rika: I'm sorry. We should'nt have come just before dinner.
Sakura: Our Dad and brother are coming home today.
*Tomoyo picked up the teapot*
Tomoyo: Alright. I'll pour the tea.
*Rika reached for a teacup & flipped it over*
Sora: Th - Thank you. *in his mind* She's so sweet.
*Sakura went to the kitchen & came back with a tray of pudding, one for each of us*
Rika: Wow! That looks good.
Sakura: Yeah, our Dad made it. They're good. Let's all have some.
Kenji: Yeah!
All: Bon appetite!
*We each took a bite*
Rika: Delicious!
Tomoyo: Yeah. It's great your Father really is a good cook.
Sora: Yep. He's the best.
*After we finished eating, the girls all took out their brooches & tried them on*
Sora: You all look beautiful. *in his mind* Especially Tomoyo.
Kenji: Very pretty.
Girls: Thank you.
Tomoyo: It was such a nice store, wasn't it?
Sakura: Let's invite Naoko and Chiharu next time, okay?
Rika: Sure.
Sakura: That brooch really suits you. That makes you look very mature and pretty too. That pin really look good on you.
*Suddenly, Rika looked dazed. I got up to check on her*
Sora: Rika? Are you okay?
*Suddenly, the brooch on her shirt glowed & grew into a real sword. She swung the sword at me & I dodged. We swung the sword at both me & Sakura, but we dodged every attack*
Sakura: Rika!
Sora: Rika, stop!
*We ran & she chased us all the way to the front door. We tried to open it, but it was stuck. We managed to get it open & ran outside, but Sakura tripped along the way*
Tomoyo: Sakura!
Kenji: Sora!
*Just then, Kero came downstairs*
Kero: What's going on!? I suddenly sensed a Clow Card! *he sniffed the air* I smell pudding! You had some without me!
Tomoyo: Forget about that and help Sakura and Sora!
Kenji: This sword took over our friend and she started attacking them!
*We dodged another attack*
Sakura: Rika!
Sora: Get a hold of yourself!
Kero: Sakura! Sora!
*He flew up to us*
Sakura: What's wrong Rika?
*He saw the sword in Rika's hand & his eyes went wide*
Kero: That's . . . *we dodged another attack* That's the Sword Card!
Sora: Rika's never taken fencing! Why is she's so good?
Kero: The secret is the Sword Card. Anybody can become a expert swordsmen with the Sword Card. The Sword has completely taken possession of of her consciousness!
Sakura: Oh no!
Tomoyo: Look out!
*We dodged again. Then we out the miniature forms of our wands*
Sakura & Sora: Oh key that conseals the power of of darkness. Reveal your true nature to us! We command you by the powers given to us! Release! *our wands grew to their full size & we brought out a card Jump!
*Wings appeared on our feet & we jumped over Rika as she attacked us. Then we ran, but Rika chased after us*
Kero: Don't act cool when there's a sword like that around. It's powers hinge on the heart of the person who carries it. The person only strikes with the back of the sword if he doesn't want to kill. *we jumped on to a wall to dodge. but Rika sliced a mirror instead* But this one wants to kill.
*The mirror shattered when it hit street*
Sora: But we can't attack Rika, we might accidentally hurt her!
Kero: Then run for it!
Sakura: But we can't just leave Rika behind like this!
*Suddenly, Rika jumped up & got ready to attack. I was about to block her, but suddenly, Sayroan blocked her with his sword*
Sakura: Li!
Sayroan: You're both weak.
Sora: Hey! We were thinking of a plan before you butted in!
*He ignored me & jumped into the street. He got ready to fight*
Sakura: No, don't!
Sora: Stop!
*We each grabbed his arm*
Sayroan: What are you doing!?
Kero: Sakura! Sora!
*We both jumped, holding on to Sayroan, as we dodged an attack. We landed in the bushes next to our house*
Kenji: Are you guys okay?
Sora: Yeah.
Sakura: But poor Rika . . .
Sayroan: If you two hadn't have stopped me, I would have got her too!
Sakura: Look, you can't hurt Rika!
*All three of us glared at each other*
Kero: Listen you guys, you've got to get that sword out of her hands, even if it's just for an instant!
*Just give, I got an idea. I looked a Sakura & she nodded, getting the same idea. We both ran to the front gate*
Tomoyo: Sakura!
Kenji: Sora!
Kero: Where are you going?
Sakura: Look after Li, Kenji, and Tomoyo!
*We got our wands ready as Rika came towards us*
Sayroan: Those idiots!
*Kero bit his hand*
Kero: Shut up and watch.
*We brought out a card*
Sakura & Sora: Project the image of the person she feels strongest about! Illusion!
*The shape of an adult man seemed to form from the card*
Rika: Mr. Terada . . .
*We were both surprised by what she said*
Kero: Sakura! Sora! Now's your chance!
*I ran forward & knocked the sword out of her hand. She collapsed, but I caught her. Then we got ready to seal the Sword Card*
Sakura & Sora: Return to your true form now, Clow Card!
*The Sword turned into a card*
Kero: Alright!
Tomoyo: You did it!
Kenji: Awesome!
*It's picture showed the Sword wrapped in chains*
Sakura: Rika!
Sora: Rika!
Sayroan: She'll be fine.
Kero: Hey wow. Sakura and Sora got the card back all by themselves!
Sayroan: Big deal. Of all the mischievous cards, the Sword Card is one of the easiest to catch.
Kero: Say what!?
Sora: In denial much?
*He glared at me & Kero bit his finger*
Sakura: Kero!
Tomoyo: I hear footsteps!
*I could hear them too*
Sora: Kero! Get back to Sakura's room, quick!
*He let got of Sayroan, kicked him in the head, & flew back to Sakura's room*
Yukito:*off-screen* Hello? Is Touya here? *he turned & saw him**on-screen* I came over to return a CD that I borrowed. *then he saw what was going on* What's the matter? *me & Sakura just looked at him, nervously. then he noticed where Kero bit Sayroan. he took his hand to get a look at it* Are you okay?
*Sayroan's face turned red & he ran away*
*The next day, we found Rika in the library, reading*
Sakura: Rika?
*She looked up at us*
Rika: Oh Sakura. Sora. Sorry about yesterday. I can't believe I just passed out like that. You know, it's strange. I don't remember anything after putting on the brooch. Nothing at all.
Sora:*in his mind* It's probably better that she doesn't remember.
*Sakura started freaking out & took a yellow bag out of her pocket*
Sakura: Here.
*Rika took it*
Rika: Can I open it?
Sora: Of course. It's for you after all.
*She opened the bag & found the heart brooch Sakura bought yesterday*
Rika: This is the one that you bought, Sakura.
Sakura: We looked all over the place, but we just couldn't yours anywhere.
Sora: So, we thought . . . You could have this one.
Rika: You didn't have to. It was my fault anyway.
Sakura: Not really. We really want you to have it.
*Sakura had tears falling from her eyes*
Sora:*in his mind* We turned Rika's brooch back into a card, so we can't give it back. But we can't tell Rika. I don't even know how we'd ever explain it to her.
Rika: Thank you. I'll take good care of it.
*We both turned to her in surprise. She just smiled*
Sora:*in his mind* She just let it go without asking us to explain. Because she knows it would probably embarrass us. She's a great friend.
*We both smiled back at her. Just then, Mr. Terada walked in*
Sakura: Good morning!
Sora: Morning, sir.
*We both ran out*
Mr. Terada: Morning.
(Third-Person POV)
*Later that day, Touya & Yukito were in a tree in the yard of their school, waiting for the twins*
Touya: What? That brat was outside my house?
Yukito: Yeah. But he left right away.
Touya: I'll have to teach him a lesson one of these days.
Yukito: Is that what you do? Chase away all the boys who get near Sakura?
Touya: Sure. I'm the only one who can tease her and Sora.
Yukito: I knew it. You've really got a younger-sibling complex.
Touya: Cut it out!
*Yukito looked at his watch*
Yukito: Well, they should be here any minute now. What did Sakura want me for?
Touya: She said she had something to give you. And in turn for giving you the message, she and Sora are on cooking detail tonight.
Yukito:*laugh* You're cruel.
Suddenly, a yellow piece of paper came flying at Touya's sleeve, causing it to catch fire. He quickly put it out & saw Sayroan glaring at him*
Touya: You brat!
(Sora's POV)
*Later that day, at lunch break, we ran to the high school, with something for Yukito*
Sakura: Sorry we're late!
*When we got there, we were surprised to find Syaoran was there, glaring at Touya & him glaring back. Yukito smiled at us*
Yukito: Hi, Sakura. Sora. You wanted to see me?
Sora: Yes. This is to say thank you for helping us carry Rika inside yesterday.
*Sakura handed him the pink bag she was holding. He kneeled down to us*
Yukito: Are you sure? Thank you. *he opened it* Chocolate! I love chocolates! They look delicious. But you really didn't have to.
Touya: Wait!
*Just then, Sayroan came up us, holding a box of chocolates*
Sayroan: Here . . . Chocolates . . .
*Yukito smiled at him*
Yukito: For me? Are you sure? *Sayroan nodded. then he jumped back over the fence to our school & ran away* Thank you!
Touya: What did you get?
Yukito: Chocolate. You want some?
Tomoyo:*off-screen* Sakura!
Kenji:*off-screen* Sora!
*We turned to see them coming out from behind some bushes*
Sakura: Tomoyo.
Sora: Kenji.
*They came up to us*
Tomoyo: I wasn't able to tape you guys getting the card yesterday. So you know what? I bought a present for you both today.
*Kenji whispered in our ears*
Kenji: Hey. I think Li really likes Yukito.
Sakura: What!?
Sora: Are you serious!?
*Tomoyo then brought out her camera & started filming us*
Tomoyo: There's always competition whether it be love or collecting Clow Cards!
Sora:*in his mind* I know I have competition for the Clow Cards, but I know I don't have any competition when it comes to you.
