Chapter 6: First Hero Class
It was the first full day of class. Now UA most of the day was like a regular high school. They had to take regular classes like literature and English. Though to be honest all of the reincarnations were fluent in English.
Still they had regular classes before their hero classes.
As well as lunch before then.
And lunch was rather interesting. As Izuku had gotten used to being something of an outcast due to his old school's ideals taught to the students, now he was surrounded.
Not only most of the reincarnations were sitting with (not Katsuki of course as he was sitting alone). But also Shoto, Yaoyorozu and Iida.
Shoto and Yaoyorozu made sense, Shoto was his friend after all and it was clear that Yaoyorozu wanted to befriend him too. Iida though was a surprise.
"So you're members of the other class?" asked Iida.
"We are." Said Itsuka.
Iida nodded.
"We ran into each other while walking." Said Mina.
"ah that makes sense, I was hoping to walk to the train station with Midoriya" Said Iida, "But I couldn't find him before I had to leave."
Izuku blushed a little when he said that.
"Are you all right?" asked Iida.
"Sorry my quirk came in late, it's a rare type of quirk that doesn't show itself unless certain criteria are met..." Said Izuku, "And well…"
"You went to that school…" said Yaoyorozu.
Izuku nodded it was clear that they subject should be changed.
Thankfully it did when Lunch Rush the hero that ran the cafeteria showed up to have a friendly conversation (He liked to introduce himself to the first year students).
After lunch though it was the class everyone was waiting for…
The first heroics class.
"I am coming through the door like a normal person!" said Toshinori in his buff form coming through the door.
Most of the class cheered as he was the number 1 hero… really the only one who didn't were the ones who already knew him.
"All right for our first class we're going to have battle trials!" said Toshinori.
The class were all excited or that but then it got even more exciting.
"All right! Before we begin the first class you need to look the part of a hero." Said Toshinori.
HE took out a remote and used it. One of the walls opened up revealing cases with numbers on them.
"Hero costumes!" cheered most of them.
Needless to say even the whole class was excited for that…
"Get your costumes on and meet me in training ground Beta!" said Toshinori.
Of course everyone got on their costumes and headed for the locker rooms.
While changing into their costumes Izuku talked with Eijiro.
"Are you really not going without a shirt?" asked Izuku.
"Yeah I can't wear much since my quirk will shred everything." Said Eijiro.
Izuku nodded.
"You might want to walk with the Shields about that." Said Izuku as he put on a pair of red bracelets.
"Wait you're not using gloves?" asked Eijiro.
"Oh you'll see later." Said Izuku.
Izuku costume was a green suit with white lines all over it, a belt that appeared to be a utility belt and he placed a pair of goggle on his head.,
Eijiro's wasn't much due to not having a short m, he did have some kind of face guard thing, but he did have a red belt buckle that was a question mark, which Izuku did like an was kind of disappointed that he didn't figure out a way to incorporate his sign.
But he also knew that Ochaco had that problem so it balanced out.
They soon left and met up with the girls of the class.
Izuku started to blush at Ochaco's costume, it was a pink and black skin tight suit that had a some sort of thing on farming her face (he remembered here it was to help with her nausea) puffy high heeled boot and on her waist was two grappling hooks that were pink to match the rest of her costume.
Ochaco saw his ace.
"I didn't want it to be skin tight." Said Ochaco, "I wanted something puffy like Thirteen."
"I love the hero course." The heard Mineta nearby.
Both deicide to ignore him.
"Your shoes." Said Izuku noticing the high heels.
"They're specially built for my landings. Also I plan to activate my quirk if I have to run." Said Ochaco.
"Oh okay." Sad Izuku.
He then noticed her grappling hooks.
"I already tased her about it." Said Mina.
Her costume was a mix of hot pink and turquoise and she had vest that she noticed that the shooting star on it. She also wore a white mask covering her eyes and on her hip were also two grappling hooks though the gun portion one was turquoise and the other was shade of pink on her costume.
"Yeah… I mean it might her thing but it really goes well with my quirk." Said Ochaco.
Izuku nodded.
"All right! You all look like real heroes." Said Toshinori, "Now we are going to have two on two battles."
"Shouldn't we do basic training?" asked Tsuyu.
"There's nothing more basic than learning how to fight." Said Toshinori, "Now any questions?"
"What determines victory." Said Yaoyorozu.
"How were teams be picked?" asked Iida.
"How badly can I hurt my opponents?" asked Katsuki.
"Isn't my cape Tres chic?" asked Aoyama who's costume had a very sparkly cape.
"Hold on, hold on… I don't have super hearing. Let me explain." Said Toshinori.
HE explained the scenario which was that two of them were to play villains that hijacked a bomb. And the other two would play heroes. The heroes would win by capturing either villains or touching the bomb which would win. The villain would win by either disabling the heroes or time running out.
"As for how teams would be picked out. We will draw lots." Said Toshinori.
"Is that a wise idea?" asked Iida who's costume was a fill body set of armor that was light weight.
"It does make sense as heroes sometimes have to partner with heroes from other agencies." Said Izuku.
"Ah yes, that makes sense." Said Iida.
"Now time to draw." Said Toshinori.
Izuku and Ochaco ended up as a team in Team A. Which they were both happy with.
Mina ended up with Aoyama E, Kirishima with Sero J and Katsuki with Iida in Team D
"As the first team going will be Teams A as the Hero and Team D as the villain." Said Toshinori.
Katsuki gave an evil grin while Izuku look at him determined.
Toshinori looked at them and realized something.
"Shit." He thought.
And so the two teams had 10 minutes to plan everything out.
'You're going to try to the spend the next 10 minutes just beating each other up aren't you." Sighed an extirpated Ochaco.
"Of course not." Said Izuku, "If you get the bomb first then…"
Ochaco sighed.
This wasn't a normal fight, there has been animosity building up since their past lives combined with the last nearly 11 years.
Yeah if they didn't do it now it would cause problems later one for sure when Bill finally show up.
"Just try to keep damage to a minimum." Said Ochaco.
"I'll try." Said Izuku as he pressed button on his bracelets. They glowed and started to wrap around his hands and arms. They transformed into something that looked like red boxing tape.
"So that's what Melissa built to help you." Said Ochaco.
"IT is." Said Izuku.
"Try not to break it in your first fight." Sighed Ochaco.
Izuku didn't answer.
He did have backups after all.
Ochaco sighed at her boyfriend.
"Honestly…" she sighed.
Inside Katsuki was smirking while his partner was say some stuff.
"Are you listening?" asked Iida.
"Doesn't matter, stay out of my way!" said Katsuki, "I have a score to settle."
Iida groaned.
Outside a chime rang.
"Looks like it's starting." Said Ochaco.
"Yeah." Said Izuku.
Ochaco kissed him on the cheek.
"Good luck… try not to get too beat up!" said Ochaco.
"Hey!" said Izuku blushing.
They went inside the building and separated quickly.
Izuku searched or Katsuki while Ochaco searched for the bomb.
Izuku as he was walking down the hall way suddenly jumped out of the way of an explosion.
"So you were expecting that?" asked Katsuki.
"Of course I was." Said Izuku.
He looked at Katsuki's costume which was more black, he had a mask with an explosion design in the back ground and he also looked at large grenade shaped gauntlets he had.
He had a bad feeling about the Gauntlets.
"Deku.." he practically growled.
"What are going to say?" asked Izuku.
Katsuki seemed to quiet down. As if he didn't know about to say.
"I'm not the boy who summoned a video game character to fight nor do we go to a school that would punish me for fighting back. I'm not your punching back any more." Said Izuku.
Katsuki glared at him and then realized.
"Wait they punished you for fighting back?" asked Katsuki.
"Are you really that surprised?" responded Izuku.
"Those fuckers…" he muttered.
Izuku then activated the quirk.
And it was clear that the two were going to fight.
Meanwhile upstairs Ochaco found the room where the bomb was being held.
She looked through the door way and saw that Iida was lamenting the fact he had to play the villain.
"I'm the ultimate evil!" he said in the hammiest voice possible.
Ochaco quietly chuckled as to not give herself away.
"He's hammier than when Ford played a villain in D, D n' More D." Mumbled Ochaco.
"I heard that." Scolded Toshinori through the coms they had.
Ochaco began to sneak into the room hoping that he wouldn't see her.
Back downstairs the fight was getting serious.
Izuku tried to kick Katsuki and he dodged and set off an explosion that Izuku dodged.
The two exchanged blows like this for a while.
"I think it's time to try this out." Said Katsuki.
"Try what exactly?" asked Izuku.
"You know how my quirks works." Said Katsuki.
His quirk worked by him sweating a substance similar to nitroglycerin and having the power to explode it using his hands.
"You see these gauntlets collect some of my seat and set off a large explosion." Said Katsuki put one of the grenade hand which released a pin.
He then pointed at Izuku .
"Bakugo! Don't do that you'll kill him." Said Toshinori.
However Katsuki didn't say anything as he pulled the pin.
Upstairs everything shook as Ochaco was doing her best to sneak in to the room.
She already laid a trap in just in case he noticed her which he didn't notice either.
However the whole budling shook because of the explosions.
"Thanks to the shaking she yelped al little and Iida noticed her.
"You!" he yelled, "You dare try to sneak into the room."
Ochaco sighed... and then he began to monologue.
Back downstairs, Izuku had managed to dodge thankfully.
A huge hole in the wall where the explosion had hit showed Katsuki just how powerful the blast was.
"Don't do that again!" he heard Toshinori from his coms.
Inside the observation room, Toshinori double face palmed…
And he knew it was going to get worse.
It was hard not to.
Back where Izuku was fighting.
"If you're going to use that against me, I'm going to use the same thing." Said Izuku.
"What the fuck that does means?" asked Katsuki.
"See these gloves, I can't use my full power without break my bones… however these are designed to take here punches at my full strength while also taking away the shock." Said Izuku.
Katsuki paled at that implication.
Izuku aim ed a punched at him clearly at full power.
Upstairs the budling shook again and Ochaco had the feeling that time was because of Izuku and she face palmed.
"How dare you stop listening to my monologue!" yelled Iida.
"Sorry it's just that my boyfriend is being an idiot right now." Sighed Ochaco.
"Wait… are you acting…" said Iida breaking character.
"No me and Izuku started dating not to long after the exam." Said Ochaco.
"Oh… I didn't know." Said Iida surprised.
"Yeah, but due his history with Katsuki he's being an idiot right now." Said Ochaco.
"I see." Said Iida.
In the observation room the students saw another massive hole in the budling caused by Izuku punch.
"No way!" yelled Kaminari.
"He's so strong." Said Hagakure.
However Toshinori was just rubbing his face in his hands.
"Don't do that again Midoriya." said Toshinori.
Mina walked over and patted his back.
"It's okay… it's okay… we both knew they would idiots in this fight." Said Mina.
Back inside the room where the fight was going on.
Katsuki had dodged the punch and he was sweating where the punch hit.
"The fuck…" said Katsuki.
"I think we're even now." Said Izuku.
Katsuki just numbly nodded.
"I think we can both agree that we're not going to do either of those during the fight." Said Izuku.
Katsuki growled but it was clear he agreed.
Izuku then aimed a punch.
Though much lighter it did send him flying.
"Do you know how hard you were for the last 10 years to deal with… trying to get you to admit the truth and you only came out when something really bad happened and only for a short time." Said Izuku.
"You did the same thing when I first remembered!" yelled Katsuki.
"I didn't remember yet!" yelled Izuku, "I didn't remember until my fifth birthday! We didn't think about that fact since we all just stupidly assumed that we'd share birthdays!"
Katsuki was about to say something but then realized.
"God damn it…" he muttered.
"I get it, we had five year old brains…" said Izuku, "But you should have realized as we got older what the truth was…"
Katsuki looked away.
"Maybe if you had gotten your head out of your ass we could have finally learned to get along." Said Izuku, "Though I do admit our schools were partly to blame."
"Why the fuck did we have to go to such shitty schools." Muttered Katsuki.
"I don't know… I really don't know." Said Izuku.
"Still I bet it would have been the same if you grew up with the others." Muttered Katsuki.
"Only Neito is older than me." Said Izuku, "And he knew the details of the spell so there was no way he would have been like you."
Katsuki growled as he tries to explode Izuku.
Who used his gauntlets to take the blast.
IT was clear to Katsuki had unlike him he would have been patient to those younger than him.
But it was clear that they were airing their grievances too.
Back upstairs, Iida finally stopped monologuing.
"Also as you can see I clear the room of any debris you can find useful." He said.
"I won't need that." Said Ochaco.
She used her quirk on herself to jump to the fake bomb.
However as it was made of paper Mache he was able to easily pick it up and he used his quirk, which was an engine based speed quirk to zoom away.
However he tripped on something and thanks to his speed he was sent flying and crashed hard into the wall.
Ochaco then jumped to the bomb and grabbed it.
"The hero team wins!" yelled Toshinori.
"You okay?" asked Ochaco.
"What did I trip on?" asked Iida.
Ochaco pointed to a rope a trap that was stretched out from one to the opposite corner (create a diagonal cut across the room.
"How?" asked Iida.
"A specially made grappling hook gun…. One of the bonuses is that I can use it to lay traps." Said Ochaco.
Iida was shocked but also impressed.
"Oh what the fuck." Said Katsuki.
"Ochaco got the bomb." Said Izuku.
We are going to fucking fight again! You hear me!" yelled Katsuki.
Izuku nodded in agreement.
They both knew that they still had a lot of stuff they needed to get out. Btu it was clear things were a little less strained between them.
Not by much.
And so all four students headed back to the observation room for their grades.
"now for the MVP! Uraraka!" said Toshinori,
"Really!" said Ochaco.
"Now can anyone guess why?" asked Toshinori.
"It's because she was the one least distracted." Said Yaoyorozu, "Bakugo and Midoriya were distracted by their grudge match, while Iida was distracted by his role as a villain and hammed it up. Not only that but she laid a successful trap, though. I will admit that in real lie it probably would have destroyed the bomb and blew everything up."
"You are correct!" said Toshinori, "All right for the next match!"
It was match between Shoto and Shoji as the heroes with Hagakure and Ojiro as the villain.
Katsuki headed to the corner.
However as he did Izuku whispered to him "Heads up. We're not the only powerhouses in the class."
Sometime later outside of the budling where their fight was happened Shoji ho's quirk let him create body parts from his recycles created extra ears.
"One of them is in the hallway while the other guarding the bomb." Said Shoji.
"Okay. I'm headed in, back me up if something goes wrong." Said Shoto.
Shoji nodded.
They first headed to hallway where he heard Hagakure.
He knew that she was invisible and he froze the hallway and they saw her feet trapped in the ice.
"Oh no! What happened!" she cried.
"Wait… are you naked?" asked Shoto horrified.
"I am!" she cried.,
Shoji used his capture tape to tie her up.
"Hagakure is captured!" called out All Might.
He quickly melted the ice and warmed her up as face as her could with causing complications, then took out something from his belt which was a shock blanket and covered her.
He then headed up stairs.
Upstairs to the room where the bomb was and froze it from the outside.
When he opened the door he walked to the bomb.
"Seriously?" asked Ojiro.
"Sorry you didn't have a chance." Said Shoto.
He turned the bomb.
"Hero team wins." Called out Toshinori.
Meanwhile in the obversion room
"What is it with our classmates!": yelled Kaminari.
"He's actually showing restraint." Said Yaoyorozu.
"Yeah his brother told me that he used to jump to freeze the whole building when he was going through scenarios." Said Izuku.
Almost everyone in the room gaped at this.
And so it was time for their score given.
"All right. So the MVP of the Match." Said Toshinori, "Todoroki… and that's not just me saying that for favoritism…"
"I think if he wasn't the one to carry the match, then we would think it was favoritism." Said Jiro.
"She's not wrong;." Said Mina with a shrug.
"Also I think Hagakure should file a complaint." Qaid Shoto.
"May I ask why?" asked Toshinori.
"Her costume is just her gloves and shows." Said Shoto.
"It's true." Said Hagakure.
An awkward silence filled the air.
"Okay… I think that needs to be done as soon as possible…" said Toshinori, "I'll also tell my friend so should be able to help you make a costume that more than that."
"Really?" asked Hagakure.
Toshinori nodded.
The next match was Mina and Aoyama as the heroes and Yaoyorozu and Mineta at the villain.
"Okay! I have the perfect way to divide and conquer." Said Mina, "You come in from the front and I come in from the top!" said Mina.
"How do we do that?" asked Aoyama.
Mina just smiled.
Inside the room where the bomb was stored. Yaoyorozu had finished created a small thing to the stop the team from entered the room.
Mineta had been watch her create the wall.
She rolled her eyes in disgust.
They wait for the hero team to try to break through the door.
'Hero team wins!" called out Toshinori.
"WHAT!" yelled both of them .
"Hey!" called out Mina from the top of the bomb.
They noticed the window nearby was completely melted down.
"It's hard to make that kind of acid, but it was worth it." Said Mina.
After taking down the barrier, they got the score.
"Of course Ashido got the MVP!" said Toshinori, "Does anyone want to guess why."
"She went in through the window in a way they weren't expecting." Said Izuku.
"Exactly." Said Toshinori.
It was clear that Yaoyorozu was taking the loss hard though.
"Hey! It's okay! You weren't expecting me to come through the window!" said Mina.
"Still… I should have known." Sighed Yaoyorozu.
The next match was Eijiro and Sero on the villain's team against Asui and Tokoyami on the hero team.
Sero laid out a trap of tape all-round the room.
However it didn't work as the door burst open.
Tokoyami has a rare sentient quirk known as Dark Shadow, it took the from o a shadow being that shared his bird like head.
Dark Shadow tore through the tape and distracted the two student playing at the villain, enough for Asui to copy Mina and beak through the window, she used her tongue which she could stretch out to touch the bomb.
"Hero team wins!" called out Toshinori.
Tokoyami was in decided in the end to be the MVP as Asui admitted that she took the idea from Mina and that they wouldn't have won if they had the distraction.
The last match was the only one where the villains as the Villain Team of Sato and Koda were able to hold off Kaminari and Jiro off.
At the end of class Toshinori gave a speech.
"All of you did a great job today with minimal injuries…," said Toshinori.
HE did give Katsuki and Izuku looks of "We will talk about that later".
"I will also file a complaint about Hagakure costume and also seek help from a good friend of mine. No hero should be forced to go around naked." Said Toshinori.
"Thank you so much!" said Hagakure.
"Now do you kids want to see how a real hero leaves?" asked Toshinori.
He then ran away as fast as he could.
Many of the students thought that was a cool exit however those that knew the truth were very worried.
"Do you think he's okay?" Mina whispered to the others.
"I hope so…" sighed Izuku.
Meanwhile Toshinori was breathing heavily as her revert to his thin form.
He had plans to be in his muscle bound form later but for now he needed to rest.
The class got back into their uniforms and many of them hung out in the classroom for the rest of the day, though some of them had to errands for class… including Ochaco and Kaminari.
"So she built you the gauntlets you used." said Yaoyorozu who had heard about what happened when Izuku used his quirk the first.
"She did." Said Izuku.
"I have yet to meet her but I have heard a lot of good things about her work." Said Yaoyorozu.
That was when Ochaco an Kaminari returned.
"So what's your favorite food?" asked Kaminari.
"Sorry you seem nice but I have a boyfriend." Said Ochaco.
"Wait? What?" asked Kaminari.
Ochaco looked over to Izuku.
"Is your mom expecting me?" asked Ochaco.
"She is/" said Izuku.
"That's good." Said Ochaco.
The class that was in the room bar Shoto, Yaoyorozu (who had heard about them acting) and the other reincarnations were shocked.
"I thought you were dating Ashido!" yelled Mineta.
"We! We! We!" said Mina, "Gross! We've known each other a long time and I see him as a brother!"
"We haven't seen each other in a long time before yesterday." Said Izuku.
It was a good way it put things as it was her to explain.
Outside Katsuki was the first member of the class to leave.
"Katsuki!" called out All Might in his buff form.
"Should you be like that?" asked Katsuki.
"I shouldn't talk to you so publicly in that form." Said Toshinori.
"Whatever…" said Katsuki.
"I'm going to talk to Izuku about this when I can but…" said Toshinori.
"Look! Don't plat dumb, you know the issues we have with each other and my other problems." ,muttered Katsuki, "I don't need to hear it over and over again."
Toshinori sighed.
"We're not going get into a another eight like that again." Said Katsuki, "And I won't use the gauntlet on him… just leave me alone until it's important."
HE walked away and it was clear there was still some tension between the two.
He could only hope that it was true an the two wouldn't blow up again in the future.
Next Time: It's time to choose the Class Representative... followed by a field trip... will something go wrong both days? Find out next time!
A/N: Okay to clear up things up about the costumes.
Izuku: Didn't give him a hood obviously and I deiced goggles for this version of the costume.
Ochaco: Partially her later costume, but just the head thing and no helmet. Also because she was inspired by black whip that's why I gave her semi-regular grappling hooks.
Shoto: He has his second costume and not his horrible first costume which makes sense as he never surprised his fire in this world.
So yeah those are the major costume changes (minus the additions of Eijiro's question mark belt buckle and Mina's shooting star patch and grappling hooks).
