Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Bloodlines. Enjoy the 5300-word chapter. I don't own My Hero Academia. Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi, and a few others do.

Volt had a feeling someone was watching him. His eyes scanned over the concrete jungle in front of him. Every rooftop, every back alley… But nothing stood out to him. It often felt like he could be lost in the stone-grey rooftops and towering skyscrapers.

"Volt, you good? You look like you've seen a ghost." Volt heard as he turned to his friends.

"Yeah, I just feel like something is off, you know?" Volt questioned as Vines hummed.

"Yeah, I guess, thanks for the backup." Vines responded as he crossed his arms. "It's shocking, the big guy stops being the hero, and EVERYONE comes out of the woodwork. Where are these guys coming from?" Vines questioned as Volt raised an eyebrow.

"The woodworks? You just said so, plants." Volt stated as his friend chuckled. "But you know how things are, without HIM to keep the peace? Everyone thinks it's safe to do whatever they want. You don't appreciate heroes like All-Might till they're gone, huh?" Volt asked as he took a deep breath, his eyebrows furrowing.

The retirement of All-Might was still surprising him, it wasn't like the man wanted to. He heard thousands of rumors about why the man had stepped down from his role, which left THOUSANDS of heroes to pick up the slack in his absence.

"You want anything to do with that symbol thing?" Volt asked to which he got a shake of the head.

"No, you?" Vines asked as he leaned on a street lamp. "You could probably be up there one day. We both know how powerful that quirk of yours is." Vines said while he shook his head.

"No, I don't think I will," Volt responded with a chuckle. "I'm good, but I don't think I could be up there. I know there are plenty of better heroes all suited to keeping the peace. We both know I'm not the kind of guy who gets thermos and lunchboxes and inspires people." Volt added to which Vines raised an eyebrow.

"I'm going to get back to patrol if something pops up. Let me know." Volt stated as he turned on his heel, slowly starting to leave.

The plant-controlling hero watched as his friend left. He turned back towards the crooks who had been captured, someone was pulling their strings, and he just needed to figure out whom.

(With Volt)

Volt could still feel that pair of eyes on his back. He spun quickly, electricity dancing about the palm of his hand as he did so. He looked over the pitch-black street, the chipped concrete asphalt only added to how run down this part of town seemed, but that was just more reason as to why they were here.

"Hmm," Volt muttered, pausing as he straightened up. "You know, I've been feeling like someone's been following me for a bit, you wouldn't have happened to be trying to sneak up on me, have you?" Volt questioned; his eyebrow raised under his costume.

A low giggle was his answer, a small sound that slowly started to build as he watched something fly by his head. Volt turned to see a knife slammed into the wall, the steel object was slammed right into the brick and mortar behind him.

"Goody, I finally get to play then." Volt heard as he raised an eyebrow. "You have no idea how boring it is to look around, spying on someone without getting to taste ANY yummy blood." Volt also heard as he balled up his hands.

'So, they had been following me? Why? How long have they been…? Never mind. How did they find out where I was? What did they want?' Volt thought to himself as he waited for the figure to arrive from the shadows.

They didn't, a whistling noise spilled the air as a pair of objects shot out towards them. Volt rolled to the side as they sailed overhead and into the wall behind him. He didn't turn to look at them as it'd only take the interest off the threat in front of him.

There was a laugh, an insane giggle that seemed to echo through the alleyway. It sounded innocent in the way a horror movie villain would when they decide to let their victim survive so they can draw out their suffering more and more.

He turned to see someone who looked like a schoolgirl… If not for the massive needles which seemed to jut from her back and the tooth-like mask. She seemed to smirk under her mask as she let out a giggle that seemed FAR too eager for someone who was attacking a man in an alleyway who had powers.

Then again? He wasn't stupid enough to think that she had no powers or abilities or any such attributes. Not only did she look like a villain or rouge hero? Almost all people had some sort of quirk that allowed them to keep up with this ever-adapting world at the end of the day. She slowly approached him as she flipped her hand open, and a knife slipped into it.

She tilted her head to the side as she started to flip the knife through her fingers with a precision that seemed inhuman. He wondered if it was her quirk or something similar. The needles did throw him off, but he knew that she was also after him for a reason like had stalked him.

"That was nice… It was sad you dodged it, though." The woman said as she held up the knife. "It'd be nicer if this had some delicious blood on it. ~" She added as she tilted her head to the side.

'What the hell? Is this woman related to Stain or something? I need to stop her before she does something unpredictable. Then again? She's not exactly someone who looks predictable.' Volt mentally thought to himself as he started to crackle the electricity of his quirk between his fingertips.

The woman laughed harder at this. It was almost like the mere thought of pain was enough to excite her. Not something that made him confident in a fight if she enjoyed it to this type of degree.

"Who's that?" Volt asked himself with a raised eyebrow as he slowly walked forward. "This isn't exactly the best thing you could have done, though." Volt stated to himself more than the woman in front of him.

"That's funny, your silly." She started to say while she raised an eyebrow. "Then again? I suppose it's to disguise the fear that's in your head." Toga stated to herself before she frowned to herself for a second before, she rolled her.

She was interested in what happened next if she managed to stab him. If she managed to stab him. She wonders if she managed to stab him. Maybe there were some yummy jolts inside his bones.

She was interested in him when it came down to it. She found it fun. The easier it was to stab someone. The more boring it was. a real fight was rather fun, and it made her blood pool and boil in so many exciting ways...

She watched as a bolt of plasma was thrown toward her. She was ready for what he threw at her. She held her knife in the air which made her knife dance with lightning and made her wonder if he was being silly. She giggled to herself as Volt threw another blast of lightning again with interest toward this woman. This woman was something else in her mind.

Volt looked at her with interest as he tried to blast at her. She grinned as delicious pain started to dance through her body as she giggled to herself as the pain started to flicker in her body when it came down to it. there was something weird in this battle.

Volt was caught off guard by one of these sorts of attacks. She tried to stab him only for him to reach up to stop her wrist from stabbing into him. She started to giggle as she leaned her face closer to him before tilting her half-lidded eyes while she tilted her head.

"I seem to think your rather insane when it comes down to it. Who's paying you?" Volt asked while he frowned under his mask as he waited for her to do something.

"Yor silly. That's Funny." Toga said while she rolled her eyes to herself and frowned a moment later. "If there's any real hiring when it comes down to it?" Toga asked before she started to think to herself.

She flipped backward with another smirk herself. He was as fun as she had seen beforehand. It made her wonder what happens next to it now. There was plenty to do before this came down to it.

She was plenty ready for this type of battle at the second. She was happy to battle someone. They hadn't let her loose for a moment at the time. It was finally time to rip her chains off and handle business the way she wanted to. She wouldn't be denied what she wanted more than anything. She'd be damaged if someone ruined her fun.

She zipped forward with her blades raised toward him as she grinned with glee behind her mask. She was ready to rip into her with her blades ready to slice into his skin.

He managed to watch her approach in time for her to zap her back with a careful blast of electuary. She giggled despite the sparks dancing from her body. It told him a LOT about her and she slowly started to approach him again.

"MMM…" She said before she slowly approached once again. "This will be FUN…" She added before she leaped towards him with another blast of energy almost hitting her.

'She isn't normal. Is it her quirk to ignore pain or something? She doesn't seem hurt at all by that strike that I had hit her with. Damn it, I need her to stay down. She gets too close, and she'll slice me to pieces before I can do anything about it.' Volt stated mentally before he sighed and started to think of how to best stop her without lethal force.

Then again? Considering how she seemed to shake off a zap capable of flooring a regular man? He almost seemed to wonder if it was worth trying more lethal force on her. She didn't look at all bothered by a zap that would have taken someone who was twice her age at the end of the day. It had simply come down to how far he was willing to press his advantages with her.

She lunged forwards while smirking under her mask at her prey. He rolled to the side of her life and she barely missed him by inches. Only a few inches between both as he flipped to the side and fired more bolts of lightning at her which was dogged easily as she made another attempt to stab at him.

He brought his arms up in a cross shape which paused her from stabbing him. He grabbed at her arms to stop her from stabbing him and blasted her with more arcs of electricity. Her body lit up like jack o lanterns on Halloween. She leaned towards him as her body shook with the energy which was enough to light her entire skeleton up.

"Hi." She said before she tried to force her blades forward. "I wanted this fight to be fun. Thanks for making it fun." She said before she kicked off his chest which sent her flipping into the air and almost throwing Volt to his knees.

The amusement in her giggle made him realize she was WAY more insane than she seemed. He almost wanted to flee into the city, yet he still had a duty to protect people, despite all fibers of his being telling him to flee into the city. He didn't for many reasons. The woman in front of him was terrified and with no air of menace lost did he not ponder if he had no chance to beat her?

Yet? If he did that? He'd be handing her a free meal by letting her go crazy despite his dislike for the issue. She was crazy, yet he'd be a fool for simply allowing her a free shot at the city and its people.

"This only ends one way." She said with what had to be a smile present under her mask. "I slice you up and have some of that delicious blood, or you kill me and break that hero role. It isn't like I'm not aware of what you can do. Someone had to watch you and report back what they found." She added while she tilted back and forth on her feet as she did so.

He sighed as he realized that this woman had to be stopped. If she shot, her mouth off the way she had been now? He'd honestly let her babble all he needed away. She was not going to tell him willingly and from little, he seemed to find from her. She had been rather insane and simply not willing to fall into line when it came down to it. He wasn't one to simply let her get to him if he had any say about it. If she wanted him dead to this degree? She'd need to earn it.

"C'mon then. Don't want your boss all freaked out, right?" Volt asked as she seemed to spin her blades in his direction.

She was all too ready to ponder what to do next. He was rather interesting if she was honest, and she had seen a lot to know that he was a good hero. Yet? All heroes had their dark sides and people such as him were so easy to shatter to pieces if the hammer feel the wrong way. All it had been a small push or screw-up. There was far too little for her to let this be as of now. He wasn't going to back down when he considered it.

She was rather interested in how to ponder this while she smiled at him and started to slash at him. He started to dodge away from her blades while zapping her with many bolts of electricity to which she simply giggled with glee. He tilted his head and started to step away from her while he started to dodge once more. He only rolled his eyes while he grabbed at her wrists while he stopped her from slicing him to pieces.

He forced the blades away from him and kicked her to the ground as he did so. He was always hopeful that she'd collapse into the ground before this was all said and done. He planted her onto the pavement while starting to bow out.

He was rather interested in how best to handle this. She was rather insane and yet he didn't at all wish for this to spill into the next place around here. He tapped at his face while he started he glanced around the room and frowned at him. He wished for it to end and end as of the second.

"She's been insane, and it ends as of now." Volt stated while he crossed his arms. "There are dozens of villains when it comes down to it. Yet I need to deal with the insane woman who has blades and drinks blood like vampires." Volt stated while he crossed his arms and sighed to himself.

Still? He was rather interested in what to do next himself. He smiled to himself while he rolled his eyes and stared at her. She was almost inhuman with her power. Did the blood somehow render her unstoppable to pain or such? Did it boost her ability to attack people or something? He had 1000 different questions and simply no answers as to how it ended at the moment.

She giggled at him as she slowly started to climb to her feet. He was rather interested in how to handle this and yet she slowly started to pace back toward her. He held his hand before he started to slice into the rest of the area.

Still? He was rather interested in what to do next as moving forward meant dealing with her. He was rather hopeful when it came down to how to beat her. He fired another blast of plasma from his fingertips while leaping off the wall and seemed to stare down at her as he leaped to the far wall and stared at her with a frown.

It was then an object plunked into the wall next to him. One of her throwing knives. He sighed and realized she'd probably be able to rip him down before he even managed to reach halfway up the wall. She was insane and Volt was aware of what happened if he didn't put a stop to her at the second. He had a lot more on his plate than her simply becoming insane. He didn't at all wish to deal with her insanity.

Yet he did, anyway, leaping off the wall and firing a bolt of plasma which forced her to flip backward before she seemed to smile under her mask at him. He landed on a dumpster and stared at her with interest and confusion. This was honestly fun now.

"Heh, you're all tingly, it's adorable." Toga said, her head tilting all the walk to the side as if she was some sort of overgrown snake. "It's so nice, I'm going to explode," Toga said while she began to giggle and chitter to herself.

'Ok, she's insane. I don't even think she is dangerous because of her quirk. She's dangerous because something made her lose it and snap.' Volt stated while he seemed to sigh to himself.

"Ok, I'm not going to meet with you when it came down to it." Volt stated before he crossed his arms and seemed to stare at her with a smile. "I'm not going anywhere. Creepy that you've been stalking me." Volt stated before he started to pace while he frowned.

Toga giggled and tilted her head to the side before she seemed to become far more aggressive. She slashed at him much more feral-like while he rolled to the side, trying to grab one of her knives from his hands before he started to try and grab her before she cut him.

The two locked hands once more, Volt glanced into her eyes which seemed to sparkle with sheer amusement in her eyes. She grinned behind the teeth like a mask. Sparks danced from his fists which didn't at all seem to bother her as she grinned when he considered it.

Still? He wasn't backing down despite her crazy demeanor or lack of personal concern. If she wanted to press him to this confrontation? He'd do what he did best and fight her as best as he was capable of. He started to ponder what to do next.

She grinned through the pain before he slammed her to the floor and tried to fry her once more. She seemed to point out what to do next when he seemed to point out that there's more fun to be had if they combated the other. She spun her knife while he slowly felt his leg lance up before he grunted in pain.

She had cut him. Blood trickled from the gash on his leg as the woman giggled insanely at her attempt to defeat him.

"Perfect. That is so perfect. Isn't it nice?" Toga questioned as Volt raised his hand.

"You mean like this?" Volt asked before he fired another blast of plasma.

Toga was thrown backward as she spun like a top that was twisted the wrong way. She slammed into the wall with an audible thump as he rubbed at his leg. He couldn't run or move that fast now and he was going to need to stem the bleeding sooner or later when it came down to it.

He sighed and slowly placed a hand on the dumpster next to him for support. The pain was still throbbing in his leg and yet he pushed it aside as best as he was able to. The pain would slowly fade with enough time and effort, he had to focus on fighting her. No matter what.

"He he~" Toga stated as she slowly started to stand up while Volt rolled his eyes at her. "That was fun. We're not done yet, still." Toga stated before she flipped onto her feet.

Volt only rolled his eyes once more. This woman was going to kill him. There was no doubt about that when he came to think about it. The only time he doubted beating her was as if he managed to close the distance with her before she stabbed him somewhere vital.

"Do you want to see how fun it is to be a villain? All those silly rules? They're just holding people with quirks back." Toga said while she flipped her knife around in her hands.

"You mean the rules that stop you from stabbing people and hurting them?" Volt questioned with a raised eyebrow. "This is too much for one day. All the days and I get someone who has a blood fetish, that's great. Next, I'll be fighting someone obsessed with thumbtacks." Volt joked while he held his hands up to try and blast her again if… No, when she made another attempt to turn him into Swiss cheese.

"It isn't exactly the most amusing thing I can do if I'm honest," Volt said while she rushed at him again. "C'mon, don't you have any new tricks? The knife thing is getting old now if I'm not going to lie. Isn't helping with killing me if that's what you're trying to do. It hurt, yeah, but it isn't helping." Volt said which made her giggle at him.

"I can do more than stab someone," Toga said while she flipped her knives into her hands. "But it's better this way. Turning people into Swiss cheese so I can taste their yummy blood is honestly the best way to fight. You only really get to enjoy life if you're fighting for your life this way. It helps when you're pushed to the limit when it comes down to it." Toga stated while she rolled her eyes.

Volt only crossed his arms as he seemed to find this odd before now. He could see she was becoming more violent, more eager to cut into him despite her best efforts. She had wanted more than anything to own this. She had been a lot more curious as to what he could do, what she'd find about him.

It was fun fighting him when all of this was said and done. She trusted him at the time. She knew he found this to be enjoyable when it came down to it. There was more to this game. More to their little battle before now.

Still? if their game was going to be a lot as of the second. It'd be a lot more fun if they were able to relax. She wanted to cut at him, enjoy the fight when as of the second.

She watched as he dodged one of the slashes before catching one of the slashes, she seemed an odd little part of this was a lot more than she had been before. It had been a fun little fight.

Still? he kicked her back, sending her to the floor with a laugh from her as she giggled insanely, all too thrown off by this and how best to do this.

He dodged the slashes as if she hadn't been there before. She had seemed to toss her to the ground, honestly all too thrown off by this despite himself. His mind was in so much pain that this was honestly beyond what she had been used to now. it tickled her to know that this had been a lot odder when this was an odd little moment for now. She had giggled despite herself at the time.

"Why do I even get the crazier ladies?" Volt questioned before he seemed to crack his fingers.

"You're not going to just walk away THAT easy." Toga said as Volt sighed and started to question how to beat this girl without frying her brain.

It almost seemed as of this moment that he wasn't able to relax. He was probably going to pass out before today was done. He was already focused entirely on how to stop her, how to slow her down. She was tougher than he had been, a lot tougher than it seemed he had been or wanted to be at the end of the day. Oh, did it hurt to try this when he was done and dusted? The very idea that he had been falling apart. It had been a lot worse as he seemed to try and understand when this was to happen before now. He had been an odd little question as of the time before now. It had been intense before he questioned now.

He had been a lot more to question. There was far too much insanity that it seemed before now that he was going to pass out from just how insane when this was odd before now. it was going to be crazy.

He threw her to the side, pain skidding through his entire body. He had been too tired, too eager for it to have been something he decided. No. He wanted this to have gotten when it was all said and done. He didn't think of it the same way she was trying to have used it.

She grinned under her mask as she tried to tackle them, making him grip a trash can lid and send her knife skidding along to the side as she did so.

"C'mon… Let's have fun…" Toga stated as he sent her flying with a blast of lightning. "I know how your quirk works. You get tired and tired with each blast… Till it goes from you using your suit to using your body's natural electric energy, isn't it?" Toga asked as Volt stayed silent.

He was too tired, he felt blood dripping from the stab wound and he felt weak. She was right, she had caught him far too much off guard for him to have been able to have relaxed. It was such a fun thing for her. There was so much that he could have done to have ended.

"Mmm…." She grinned; her voice muffled to where she could have done such a thing.

This was a problem. It hadn't yet seemed to have such a thing happen the way it could have done something before he found it seemed to have gotten to such a degree.

She grinned, gripping the knife as she did so before she still questioned how to have gotten to such a thing. He watched her rush at him, eager to have gutted him like a piece of Swiss cheese. He dodged to the side, easily dodging her move but allowing her to kick to send him skidding backward before it was all said and done. He didn't know what to have questioned.

He sighed, too unsure of what to have gotten before now. He tilted his head… He wanted this done. He clicked his jaws against one another. He smirked before he seemed to have prepared for the worst. Blood was pooling on the ground and he was still hurt. He didn't know what else would have happened. He understood what it had been for the time.

"Eh heh he… I'm going to cut you half into a thousand pieces." Toga stated before he shook his head. "C'mere… This will only hurt a little bit." Toga stated as she tilted his head to have focused before it seemed to have gotten where it had been.

He was thrown to the ground, making him raise his eyebrow. He hadn't yet gotten to have prepared for such a thing. She slashed at him only for him to throw her to the side. She seemed to question before it seemed to have prepared for now. He tilted to question what to have gotten to it.

He rubbed at his nose, trying to keep himself from what had happened, and seemed that it'd have been going on. It had to end here and it had to end now. whatever else he did do? Well, that was too secondary for now. It was just going to have been too peachy… Yes, it'd have all fallen apart if Jolt let her catch him.

Nope, he wasn't going to have let that nightmare gain any real traction… Not while he had prepared for the worst… it'd be nice for now if it hadn't yet gotten there… Yep, I was all too bothered by this… Yes, if anything.

Well, he'd not let her get away as he shoved her into the garbage can. Her knives spilled out as he turned and ran, trying to put any amount of distance between them. It was so terrible that it had gotten past the worst. Such a thing only served to have bothered him.

However? He knew better than all of this. He wasn't sure as of now. Not at least when it had come to how he felt it should have gone. No. There was just nothing here and nothing else on the mind this was going to have been something else. It'd have to have been a big play for him to get her anywhere when it was all over for.

There was almost nothing else on their mind for him to have done so. He was so bored when it came down to it, there was such amusement in his movements when all of this was over that he wanted to have screamed. He knew that she knew about something he didn't.

Yet? He was terrified when it came down to it. She was insane, she wanted him to have taken him down and he knew it.

She lunged at him; her blade ready to cut through him easily when it came down to it. Volt dodged it and sent her skidding backward. He had to get out of here and did so now. the second he put more distance between them? There was a focus to which he hadn't yet gotten where he should have been. It was a horrid thing, something that only made her laugh.

He snorted to himself, so tired and thrown off, so exhausted and caught off guard by this, so very caught off guard.

"C'mon, it's not so fun when you don't fight back." Toga said as Volt sighed and realized it.
