In 1942,The Axis powers were winning the War. Most of Europe was being conquered by Nazi HYDRA forces led by Johann Shmidt,aka the Red Skull,who has found a Cube.
A Frail Steve Rogers was recruited into the program and was given the Super Soldier Serum by Erskine. A Nazi Spy has fatally shot Erskine,then commit suicide. Rogers became known as Captain America and recruit his friend,James "Bucky" Barnes and other Soldiers,dubbing them the Howling Commandos.
Cap and Bucky have been several missions,their latest one led them to meeting with undercover agent,Peggy Carter,who was after Armin Zola,a HYDRA Scientist. They quickly captured and interrogates him. Zola reveals that the Red Skull's plans to launch a bomb-loaded drone-jet to destroy New York.
Cap and Bucky infiltrate the base as Red Skull tries to escape on a jet. The two climb aboard to capture Red Skull. They both realized that there's only one way to stop it. Bucky knock Captain America off the jet into the icy arctic waters below as the jet exploded. He then became frozen in a state of suspended animation.
Peggy and the Howling Commandos continue to fight with Allies. In the Presents,Cap is brought back to life by Nick Fury nearly 75 years.
