The factory was getting closer and closer.
Or so it seemed to the orange Lombax, who ran madly towards the old factory where his best friend was once built, or even born. The fact that Victor had chosen this planet for the final confrontation was still a mystery to Ratchet, but to be honest, the hero didn't care. Clank and Kit were trapped, and Ratchet was determined to free them both from the former general's clutches.
At last he entered the rusty entrance and headed for the nearest elevator. As far as the lombax had seen correctly, Victor was at the top, on a roof that also served as a landing pad. Fortunately, the elevator was still working and Ratchet was already on his way up. He reloaded his blaster, checked the omniwrench and exhaled sharply. His fight would be soon, and only one would come out alive. But Ratchet also hoped that Rivet would manage to escape from Kettil and rush to the orange one's aid so that together they could put an end to von Ion.
The ping of the sound system brought him out of his thoughts.
The sliding doors opened and Ratchet stepped outside. The landing area was so huge that it even served as a battle arena, at least for today. And just a few meters ahead, Ratchet could see Victor, his back turned to the lombax and his hands resting on it, clenched into fists. "You took your time," the white robot finally turned around and its red optics stared piercingly at the lombax. Ratchet also began to grin his smirk again and crossed his arms in front of his chest, "To be honest: You were much scarier as a red blockhead than you are now in white." Victor ignored the biting comment, stepped aside and showed his prisoners, who were still tied to the mast. Now the games were over. Ratchet was on alert again and shrugged out the omniwrench, "Clank...Kit...Let. Them. Free!" Unfazed by the threat, Victor just laughed maliciously, "You wish! The malfunction will pay today for humiliating me and making a fool of me.
Now his eyes lit up menacingly, "I'm going to start killing his closest friend!"
The chest opened again and a swarm of missiles came shooting in. Ratchet hurried and dodged the missiles flying towards the lombax in time. Victor kept firing in the hope of catching the orange one, but it refused to be hit. The rain of fury was interrupted and this was Ratchet's chance to return fire. He whipped out a blaster and fired the plasma at the former general, who was able to block it with his forearms. The hero took advantage of this and slipped through Victor's legs, past him to Clank and Kit, who were staring at the hero with wide-eyed stares. Ratchet began to rattle the chains in an attempt to free them both, "Don't worry, I'll soon have..."
But he was interrupted by a large hand.
"RATCHET," Kit cried out as Victor's hand grabbed the furry face and lifted the hero up at the same time. He threw Ratchet away from his captive and then slowly approached him, "Not like that, meatbag!" He followed up with a kick to the lying man, which sent him a few meters away and the lombax clutched his stomach. That had hurt. His head was barely resting on the edge of the landing area and it happened that he had taken a quick look down. There he could see the production melting ovens, which were cold but could start up again at any time. Fortunately, they were cold, because that would only have given the robot new ideas. Victor approached again, but then came an unexpected attack.
Ratchet swung the wrench backwards.
The weapon slammed against the face with the mouth mask, and landed back in the lombax's hand, who was back on his feet. He didn't utter a word. Ratchet immediately jumped up and rammed his omniwrench against Victor's head again, who staggered backwards. Several attacks to the body area followed, staggering the former general and giving the lombax more to attack. Victor finally had enough and intercepted the key, despite being much larger than the lombax. "Not bad... My turn," the robot in white snatched the trusty weapon and tools from Ratchet's hand and hurled them at the small bots on the mast. Now Victor lifted him up again and rammed his fist against his stomach.
That hurt even more.
The hero had to spit a lot of blood on this blow, which only just hit the robot's armor and a few drops stuck to his white material. Victor wasn't finished yet. He launched another fist at Ratchet, throwing him backwards again, before the former general followed up with a kick. The orange man was already close to the edge again before his back was violently grabbed. Victor swung the lombax around like a wrestler and then threw him back towards Clank and Kit. Before Ratchet could attempt to get up and free them, Victor landed just behind him and his hand pressed against his back.
"Ready to go!?"
With the help of the propulsion on his feet, Victor hovered briefly in the air, lombax in hand, and then hit the ground again with full force. He had hammered Ratchet hard onto the ground, causing Clank and Kit to raise their eyes in shock. However, the white robot then grabbed one ear of the hero's head, who gasped and showed his face, just barely hearing Victor's loud voice.
"Is this your hero?"
Victor then rammed Ratchet's furry face against the ground. The screams and pleas of the little robots could not be ignored, but the revenant rammed the lombax against the ground several times. A red puddle slowly formed on the impact area where Ratchet's face was rammed several times. Blood was coming from his mouth and nose when Victor finally let go and pulled him up by the ears.
He presented the lombax like a trophy to the two little robots, who were panting as they tried to free themselves from his grip, but the iron hand would not let go. "I've saved that for last," Victor activated the mast one last time and gave Clank and Kit the worst kind of electric shock. But that had activated something. The furnaces suddenly activated and from above they could see the iron slowly melting again and a reddish light illuminated the landing area. Like a gateway to hell, the lombax thought to himself as Victor dragged him along again.
Apparently the revenant had something special in mind.
"Die already, lombax!"
Meanwhile, the rebel was still panting as she dodged Kettil's attacks. The leader was pretty shaken up from the crash landing, but his will to kill the lombax was still there. Despite looking like he'd escaped a bad fire, he was still in top form and swung his sword at Rivet. She herself hadn't taken any damage yet, but she was running out of breath and a solution had to be found quickly to defeat the red robot. Something inside told her that Ratchet needed her at that moment, and the rebel couldn't refuse. "Kettil...you better give up. The rangers are already on their way here to put your iron butt in jail," Rivet tried to scare the red robot, but he wouldn't let go of her.
"YOU'RE BLUFFING, MEATHEAD! No one can find the Heavy Vikings," his sword swung at her again, but this time the rebel counterattacked. The hammer slammed against the blade, creating such a force that it was torn from Kettil's hands. The leader was stunned, but he didn't have long to do so. The lombax in white leapt up and delivered a hammer blow to his face, almost shattering his optics. The blade was flung away from the opponents until the Viking regained his composure and ran towards the rebel. With all his might, he pulled the smaller one with him and hurled her against the nearest stone. All his rage came to him as he tried to strike her face with his fist, but Rivet barely dodged and the blow landed against the large stone.
The stone even broke a good bit before the leader turned his attention to the rebel crawling away. Kettil took the initiative and jumped up until he was standing over her. With a kick, he turned Rivet around so that her blue eyes met his face. The iron beard had suffered many scratches, as had his face, and one of his horns had broken off. He diabolically blocked her escape with his iron feet by placing them next to her waist. The rebel was unable to perform a roll to escape the large robot, which formed a new weapon with smoke. This one was something completely new. It was a giant scythe that Kettil finally finished forming in his hands and swung upwards. "You and your partner ruined everything," the robot suddenly began, "Everything we worked for...destroyed. You should have just stayed out of our buisness, but no...because of you I lost my friend..."
"...When this is all over, we'll enslave all the meatbags and we robots will finally be free," He had talked enough. Kettil finally swung the scythe upwards, preparing for the final cut that would turn out the rebel's lights. Rivet looked all around until something caught her eye. The hammer was too far away, but the sword was a few meters from her prosthesis. She reached for it with all her might, even though it seemed impossible. The hilt of the sword was within reach, but Kettil had already reached the peak of his weapon and was ready to ram it into the rebel's heart.
"NOW DIE...ARGH", but nothing happened.
Rivet had managed to grab the blade and rammed it through the robot's ribcage from below. You could see the sword sticking out of Kettil's back with oil on it. With a violent jerk and a short scream, she pushed the weapon in a little deeper so that the oil shot against her face. The red one finally staggered away from her and fell back to the ground, the force of the sword knocking out of him from the front. Rivet immediately got up after it and looked at the downed robot, whose optics had gone out, but it was still in tact. "How tough is that guy," she could really tear her hair out, the rebel was so frustrated and stunned.
But she wasn't paying any more attention to the unconscious bot, because her eyes were fixed on the factory. How long had Ratchet fought Victor? She immediately tore off a piece of her scarf, wiped the oil from her face and then ran to the factory herself. Hammer in one hand and a blaster in the other, Rivet set off for the factory at lightning speed until she also reached the entrance. Something rang out in her large ears. It sounded like a scream. "Oh no... Ratchet," the rebel couldn't waste any more time, so she took the stairs to the landing area. The elevator would only take time to appear and then go up. Rivet ran along the stairs at full speed, even skipping some of them, just to get to her friends in time. Kit and Clank needed your help.
And the Lombax, who she loved, "Hang in there, Ratchet! I'm coming!"
