David is in front of his bedroom mirror checking on his outfit.
After checking his outfit, he heard a knock on his door and answered.
Opening the door to reveal his mother holding a spatula covered in batter.
"Morning, David." She greeted him "breakfast is ready. Hurry up now or the food will get cold."
David nodded in agreement and Star smiled brightly.
Soon after she left him and went to the kitchen as David left his room and went to the dining room.
David sat down on his chair that is next to his dad which he is in the middle. His dad, Marco, is using his phone scrolling through the daily news while eating his food. A plate landed in front of him courtesy of his mother.
Star placed her plate on her side of the table and sat parallel to David.
"By the way David, why were you home late?" Star asked
"I was with aunty" he responded
"Mari? Did she have you pick berries in the forest again?"
"No, just eating" he answered
"For that long? Must've been on sale on Britta's Tacos." Star comments
Marco looked up from his phone and said "you should be careful next time. We don't have another incident"
"His fine. Look at him, he may just be lacking emotions but his still functioning."
"Star, we don't know if he had another incident. Hidden Hour is unpredictable." Marco argued
"I know but a little adventure outside wouldn't hurt. Besides you taught him Karate." She assured
Marco sighs in defeat and just accepts it "I don't know why I argue with you."
"Because you can't" she playfully said
"You really are our child's favorite" Marco said
"It was too easy" she smirked for a bit then turned to David with a serious look "but it's still very dangerous David. if it's too much to handle, just run okay?"
David nodded at her and she smiled. They continue eating their food until Marco widens his eyes to certain news.
"What the? Have you seen the news?"
"No phones on the table!" She said while grabbing Marcos phone and chuck it on the other side of the room.
"So what's the news?" She asked innocently
"Really?"
"Just say it!"
"Fine, just let me get my phone" he said as he got up from his chair and went to the other side of the room. He came back with his phone in hand. He kept his distance and scrolled to find the article.
"Here it is" he then read aloud the article " 'Shattering Boundaries' 'at approximately 1:20 AM, reports from concerned citizens to have seen that the barrier surrounding Echo Creek had visible cracks upon inspection. Eyewitnesses described the scene as surreal, with fractures spider webbing across the previously solid barrier. Local authorities swiftly cordoned off the area, deploying emergency teams to evaluate the extent of the damage."
"Wait, why did no one report it to me?" She said as she pulled out her phone and checked her email with a lot of reports about the cracking a few hours ago.
"Oh... Must've put it on silent...oops" she said as she slowly pockets her phone
"The station will probably need some help. I'll take my leave now" he said
Marco got closer to Star and kissed her forehead and Star reciprocated with a kiss on the lips.
"See ya later tiger."
Marco lovingly smiled at her. Marco ruffles David's hair from across the table.
Marco grabs his essentials and takes his leave while waving goodbye to them.
"Alrighty, you go on ahead and go to school." She told David as she got up to her seat and started picking up the dirty plates but before she could go into the kitchen, she turned back to David and said "oh after school can you buy some pies from Mom and grandma Comet okay? "
David nodded and Star left him. David got up from his seat and he went to his room and grabbed his bag then left the house.

In Echo Creek Academy
David was walking to the school while listening to music. As he was walking to school, he saw the girl from before but now she's wearing a pink cardigan.
The girl is leaning at a pillar while talking to other people. He walked past her and continued to the lockers.
Reaching the lockers, he opens his and grabs the books and notebooks he needs for today. He closed his locker door and headed for his class.
As he was headed for his class, someone from behind called out to him which he stopped and turned around to see his childhood friend named James Ordonia-Lucitor
His friend in question has pale skin and black hair with horns on the side of his head. His outfit consists of a black blazer with a blue undershirt and a golden pentagon on his neck. Black jeans and black sneakers.
"Sup dude" his friends said "heard the news?"
"No"
"We got a new transfer student from another town. I haven't met them though, but I'm hoping it will be a girl." He said while saying the last part slyly
"Either way is pretty exciting when a new guy transfers here. Probably got some stories to tell about the outside."
"You think so?" He asked
"I don't care"
"Aw come on man, be a little excited at least" James complained
The bell suddenly rang loudly and other students quickly walked to their classes.
"Oh crap, see ya later dude" James said as he quickly left him while waving goodbye at him.
David turns around and heads for his classroom.
David barely made it to his class and he sat on his usual chair. His classmates are gossiping about the new student, saying various things about the student.
The classroom gossiped more until the teacher walked in the room with the transfer student beside her.
"Alright settle down! Now I would like you to meet our new classmate for the next year" she said as she gestures at the new student which she is drawing a bunch of rainbows and bunnies and many more bright things alongside her name which is 'Pacifica Davenport' written on the board.
"it seems you got" the teacher said as she smiled at Pacifica
"Hello everyone!" She said enthusiastically
"my name is Pacifica Davenport, right over here." She points to the board "and I like cute things, like rainbows, bunnies, and candy. My favorite color is pink and I just moved here for a better education but in reality I blew up the school with some pink confetti. Soooo...hi"
She smiled at the end while her new classmate just stared at he with bewilderment then a guy from back said "You rock, Pacifica!" And they all except for David cheered her.
"Oh no..." The teacher said "alright class, settle down. Now Pacifica, how about you sit and take a seat on the vacant in front of David."
"Aye aye ma'am" she said as she salutes the teacher and takes her seat.
She turns her body around and smiles at David.
"Hey, new friend! My name is Pacifica and I'm your classmate."
She then extends her hand to him which he just stared at her blankly.
"Ohhhh...Imma fix ya, just you wait"
She then turns around to face the class. The class continued until the day was over.
David puts away his stuff and was ab5out leave until Pacifica blocked his way.
"Hey you about leave right? How about you show me around town? The principal did say you're the best guide for this town"
David just stares at her with a blank expression and he just walks away which kinda ticks Pacifica.
"Hey! Wait, at least show me around school!" She said as she chased after him.

David walks around the School with Pacifica which she just insert herself as she asked questions to David which he didn't even try to answer fully.
"Ohh what's that?" she asked enthusiastically
"Water fountain"
"Oh...then what's that?"
"Lockers"
"Okay...oh oh what is that?" She points at a statue of Star Butterfly.
"Statue"
"Are you seriously just going to say anything than just a word?" She asked
He stared at her which just made Pacifica sigh in defeat.
"Fine...be that way but ain't gonna give up on ya."
They then continued walking side by side until they exited the school.
David puts on his headphones and leaves Pacifica.
After a bit of walking he arrived at The Comet's Pie Shop and was about to head inside until he heard a bunch of voices to the side which caused him to investigate.
He walks to the source of the noise and he sees a bunch of girls being rude and laughing at a timid blue haired girl who is staring at her books on the ground.
"Be sure to clean that up haha" the one girl with a ginger hair said
After they insult the timid girl, they leave while laughing at her. The timid girl slowly picks up her books until David picks some of the books and hands it to her.
"Oh...t-thank you David" she said with a blush on her face
After that, he leaves her alone and heads back to the pie shop.
He enters the pie shop and the aroma of the freshly baked pie of Moon And Comet Butterfly.
"Welcome to Comets- oh Hello David" Moon said as she exited the kitchen.
"Is that my great grandson that i sense?" a voice from the back said as it comes out and reveals to be Comet Butterfly with a robotic body and a screen for a face. "Oh it is so nice to see you my dear boy."
"As do I" she agrees"what would you like to have today?"
"Usual for mom"
"Of course, dear" Moon said
Moon and Comet go to the back and do their thing and bake the pie David ordered. David waited for the pie and he mindlessly scrolled through his phone.
As he was waiting for the pie to bake, the door opened and revealed to be the same blue haired girl from before.
"Oh h-hey David..." She shyly said "it's nice to s-see you here...I mean you did enter b-but...never mind"
"Another customer, what would you like to order Daron?" Moon asked with a paper bag on hand
"Some uhhh pie with extra whip cream please?"
"We'll be on it deary and David here's your order."
David hands over the money and Moon accepts the transaction. He grabs the paper bag and leaves the establishment
"Be safe David."
"S-see y-you around, David" Daron said her goodbye to David.
David exits the shop and heads back home. As he was heading back home, he noticed something about select people he felt a small connection but was very faint which he also felt with the two girls he met but he shrugged it off.
He reaches his home much earlier than before. As he was walking up to the house, he heard a bunch of voices and laughter.
He opens the door and sees that Pacifica is talking to his parents and laughing with her.
"Oh, David. So nice to see that you're early. Meet our new guest that will be living with us." Star said
"Wait, this is your parents! I didn't know you were the son of the mayor of Echo Creek! You should've told my bestie" Pacifica said as she drags David closer to his parents
"Just like me when I was a kid but now we have more upbeat and lively energy around the house."
"But at least shes doesn't have magic that a start" Marco comments "so it's probably a safe bet to-"
Then an explosion came from the kitchen and the smoke alarm beeps like crazy
"Nevermind"
"Ohhh the cookies are ready!" Pacficia said as she went to the kitchen
Star gasps in surprise as she follows Pacifica, leaving David and Marco alone.
"I Better get some cleaning equipment. And maybe some nails." He said as he leaves him David alone. He places the paper bag on the coffee table and heads up stairs and to his room. He places his bag down and does his homework.
After about 30 minutes, he heard a knock on his door which made him get up and answer the door.
He opens his door which is revealed to be Pacficia with a plate of cookies on her hands.
"Heyyyy bestie, I got a plate of cookies here with your name on it." She said with a big grin on her face "want some?"
He grabbed one cookie and ate it. The taste is very nice with a hint of strawberry to the frosting which David liked.
"Well? How is it?" She asked
"Good"
"Good what?"
"Taste"
"Awesome, I know you won't resist, I asked your mom what type of cookies you like by the way."
He was about to close the door while she was rambling until Pacifica stopped it with her foot.
"Dude seriously? I'm just trying to be nice here. Just give me a chance okay?" She said as she peeks at the crack of the door.
"Fine..." He said
He pulls the door open to release her foot.
"Good, that was starting to hurt. Anyway how about we restart okay? My name is Pacifica Davenport" she said as she extended her hand.
David then accepts her hand and handshake.
He then felt something inside him warm and lively. After that a voice, speaks inside his head.

"Well, here ya go. See ya tomorrow, Bestie" she said as she hands him the plate.
He closed his door and placed his plate beside his table.
He ate the plate of cookies while continuing his homework until it's dinner time.

After having dinner with Pacifica, he takes his bath and gets dressed for the night. He climbs into bed and drifts off to sleep.
A few hours later, a loud knock woke him which caused him to get up from his bed and walk to his door.
He opens it up and the other side is his parents with weapons on hand.
"Hey son, up for some night out with us?" Star asked excitedly
"Star this is just a field test if he can handle it. Remember?"
"I know, I know but I'm just excited that my son is gonna be a fighter just like me." She comments with stars on her eyes.
"Either way, we should be careful. Its almost midnight" he said the last part with an ominous tone
"That's why I'm excited"
"Okay...let's head out" Marco said
He leaves while Star follows him, David heads back to his room and gets dressed in his usual outfit but he replaced his red hood with a black leather jacket.
After he gets dressed, he exits his room and heads outside. As he leaves, the door next door opens slightly which was Pacifica who peek through it.
Outside the house, Marco, Star, and David are waiting around for the hidden hour to approach.
As they were waiting for the hour, David stared at the waxing crescent moon and something in him is rumbling but his staring got interrupted by Star
"Hey, it's almost time David. Be ready to put up a fight but don't be afraid if you're getting overwhelmed okay?" She said while making a small smile which David nodded in agreement.
"Good, now be careful okay? I really really don't want that to happen again"
Star leaves him to devices as he stares at the moon again.
Tick*tock*tick*tock*tick*tock
The atmosphere suddenly changed and the hue of the moon changed into blue. David stopped staring at the moon and on to the street to see that its starting to spew out black goo from the ground.
They all gathered together and get themselves ready to fight.
"Alright, here's the plan, Star take one the bigger one and chopped them int-Star!" Before he could plan the attack, Star was already chopping up the blobs into tiny pieces causing them to be destroyed.
"Hey, stick to the plan Star!"
"Plan is for suckers! Just smash it up" she said while chopping some the blobs.
"Ughh fine, David don't let them close and dodge if you can't handle it and I'll support you with the remaining blobs okay?"
David nodded in agreement and they both sprinted toward a small blob. David came in and flying kick the blob then follows it up with a low kick when he landed. Marco uses his staff to destroy the blob behind David then twirls it to hit another one beside him. As Marco was twirling his staff, David dodge under it then punch the blob came behind Marco then followes it up with a open palm attack.
Marco bends down a bit and David uses this to do a overhead kick to a blob while he twirls his staff to hit a blob.
Star saw the whole sequence and she was in awe. She stabs a blob that comes behind her while looking at them in awe.
A few hours later, the siege of the blobs stopped and the atmosphere changed back to normal.
David breath heavily from all the fighting. Marco and Star moves closer to David and leads him back to the house. As they were leading him home, he fall asleep in their arms.
"Awww he looks precious when he's sleeping." Star comments
"Yeah and his fighting is really great, I mean you saw what he did? That overhead kick was clean"
"You two were really great. His probably ready for that." Star said mysteriously
"Why are you being mysterious? His asleep"
"I like the being mysterious"
Marco made a 'really' face to Star which she is oblivious to his look.
They carried David to his bed and tucked him. Star kissed David's forehead and they leave him to sleep.
