David opens his eyes and he sees that his in the high commission room. He sees on the other side or the room is the high commission but it seems that they are more lively than before. They were all having a conversation with each other for a bit and they turned back to him with smiles on their faces...well some do.

"It's good to see you again, Boy" The blue man said "believe me, I would have done it sooner but I kinda life less."

"But-" David before he could ask Glossaryck cuts him off

"I know, I know, I was but I was just stone facing it and frankly magic is my life source. Anyway, we are forever in debt." The blue man said as he bows in gratitude.

"Now, let's fully introduce ourselves. My name is Glossaryck, I am the one who trained your heritage. From the first queen to your mother. Now you'll be my student."

"Hey what's up, the name's Hekapoo. Created all dimensional scissors and the enforcer of the scissors" the red haired woman with horns while having a large book in front of her "though I'm just here to assist in spell casting."

"Greetings! I am the great, the powerfu-"

"Just get on with it" Hekapoo said

"Alright, Alright. geez can't even have my own fun...ugh my name is Rhombulus and I was the caretaker of Lekmet and keeper of the crystals but now..uhhhh I forgot.."

"Ughhh...your role is to be his guardian!" Hekapoo said exasperated

"Oh yeah, I'll be your guardian! Hehe. You can summon it anytime by calling my name."

"Okay I'm next, My name Omnitraxus Prime. I'm the master of space-time. For my role is to be the materials handling and weapons creator." Said the orb

"How?"

"How what?" Omni asked

"Weapons"

"What about the weapons?"

"I think he was asking how you bring it to him" Hekapoo continued his thought

"Oh well, Hekapoo will send it to you but why are you speaking like that?"

"Incident"

"Incident? Did something happen when we were out of commission?" Omni asked

"I'm also curious about what happened to the universe" Hekapoo comments

"Better hope Eclipsa did corrupt the whole universe" said Rhombulus with a hint of venom in his voice.

"Still on about that?" Hekapoo said whilst having a irate look

"You don't know that!"

"Enough children!" Glossaryck said calmly "if you want to know, I'll tell you all later. For now, David is waking up from the other side."

"And for that, I bid thee farewell"

David's vision slowly turns dark as his body feels like it's on fire.

David lazily opens his eyes and sees that his not in room but rather a white ceiling with a sound of beeping besides him.

He tilts his head beside him and it seems no one was there at first but as he turned his head to the left, he saw James and Pacifica sleeping on their respective chairs.

The first one to awake is Pacifica. She stretches her body while rubbing eyes tiredly and looks at newly awakened David. She then suddenly stood up from her seat and checked on David.

"Heeey sleepyhead, did you get sleep well?" She said with an annoyed tone in her voice.

"How long?"

"Ohhh I don't maybe a WEEK AND A HALF!" she said angrily "you just had to leave me with Sir Puns a lot here."

"Wha-what?" James said as he woke up from his sleep "Hey, my puns are always the best."

James stands up from his seat and he walks beside Pacifica and checks on David.

"You okay, bud? The doctor said you exhausted yourself but what really happened?"

"Well...we just played some games" Pacifica nervously said

"What kind of games made you sleep for a week? That sounds pretty shady if you ask me.."

"It's none of your beeswax! We just played and that's it"

"Hey don't get all offensive or is this something else? Come on, spill it" James teased

"Wha-wha" Pacifica stuttered while having a blush on her face "what are you implying! There is nothing between us...geez"

James chuckled at her response as Pacifica turned her head away from him.

"Anyway, better get out of here, I got some practice today." James said

James leaves the room, leaving only Pacifica and David alone. Pacifica goes closer to David and looks at him with a sad look.

"Sorry for the outbursts, I'm just frustrated that you didn't do anything when you were exhausted. Honestly, the first night I saw you fight those blobs, i got scared...I didn't know what they were but you were brave enough to even fight them, so I thought I could do the same...and I thought you count on me because I'm your buddy" She poured out her emotions while tilting her head down

"It's fine"

"What is?" Pacifica tilts her head back up and has a confused look

"I wasn't"

"Wasn't wha-oh...Hey!" Pacifica said but in the last part she got irritated

"You really know how to make a girl angry. I was worried for you."

They had a bit of silence as Pacifica was completing to say something. After a bit of thinking, she exhaled softly and looked at him.

"Sorry to spring this up but I didn't have a great childhood, my dad passed away when I was young and was taken in an orphanage but people didn't want to adopt me because of the incident 10 years ago"

"Incident?"

"Yep, I was in echo creek when this happened, news said there was a huge explosion with a certain forest and my dad was in the middle of it." She then began to tear up as she continued "but seeing with all the syndrome, really hurts because my mom got one right after which made her unfit to take care of me...

..and now my name got trashed when I got adopted by The Davenports, they abused me a lot. And they didn't care for me. I covered all the pain by smiling through all the pain, that's what mom said when she was still okay..."

David then places his hand on to her and mustered even a smile but he couldn't

"It's okay.."

"Huh?"

"You're...here"

"Yeah...guess I am...I know, you're trying to help me feel better but you're really not doing a good job of it." She said while smiling with tears in her eyes.

"But thanks anyway. " She said

"I'll let the nurse know that you are awake now, be right back"

And with that, Pacifica leaves him as David goes back to sleep.

Afternoon, May 17

David is on the couch and reading a book that was long over due but Meteora was generous enough to have it extended.

His intelligence and emotion went up a bit by reading the anecdotes of his mom's adventures when she was a kid.

He stopped reading, so he could read more later. He closed his book and left the house. He decided to go to the mall and do something with his spare time. Before he could go anywhere, a hand was rested on his shoulder which made him look and saw that it was James hand.

"Sup , dude. I rarely see you here, so what's the plan?" James said enthusiastically

"Nothing..."

"Nothing eh? I might fix that. Let's go to the arcade, it might be fun"

"Fine..."

"Alright! I know a place." James said as he leads the ways.

David follows him to the arcade which took them a bit of time because of how large the mall is.

They finally reached the arcade and they went inside. James took a deep breath and exhaled it all out.

"Smell that arcade goodness. So...whatca wanna play?"

"Anything"

"Anything? Come on man, you got to pick something. We got a wide range of games, man"

"Fine...crane"

"A crane game huh? Sure, I was about to show my sick crane game skills" he confidently said

They find a worthy crane game and James plays the game but only to fails right after.

"A darn it! Biffed it" he then puts in another coin and tries again.

The claw picked up one of the toys and was about to drop it but it fell out of the claw at the last minute.

"Aww man..." James said defeated in conquest.

David goes to the crane games and tries on his hand on the game. He positioned the claw to a plush of a dog with big eyes and he pressed it to make the claw go down and grab the plush.

The claw grips the plush and moves it to the hole and successfully drops it in.

"Whoa! That's some luck!" James said "you gotta give me some"

David gets the plush through the door and he hands it to James but he refuses it

"Nah man, it's your win. You get to keep it." He said with a smile

David nodded and David held on to the plush as they both fist bumped each other.

Then He felt a warm feeling from before and with a voice speaking in an almighty voice.

"With that done, wanna play more games? I got time"

David nodded in agreement and they played a bunch of arcade games until it was night and they said goodbyes and went their separate ways.

David doing his week of missed homework. Even though it was an overwhelming endeavor, he didn't have up on it.This made his intelligence improve a great bit from all the missed lessons.

Morning, May 19 Monday

David was walking to the school. He was about to enter but he overhead two people talking about clubs in the school.

"I heard that they are opening clubs, though I didn't see what the clubs are. It could be a lot of fun"

"I saw the list and I say, the writing club would be cool to go."

"Writing? You should take a sports club and be guaranteed a scholarship."

"I think about it"

'Clubs?' David thought to himself.

David considered a club to join again, he did do soccer club before but due to the incident, he got laid off until he was clear to do so.

He stopped eavesdropping and went inside the school.

He sits down on a chair and waits for the teacher to arrive while the others are having conversations.

Star Butterfly's Office.

Star is tired of reading a report and organizing the papers.

She puts down her glass and rubs her tired eyes from all the reading shes has been doing.

Star sighs deeply and she stands up to peer out of her window. She then touched her cheeks and thought about what was happening.

"So...my cheek marks are back...and I don't know how..." She said

Star pulls out a mirror compact and inspects her cheeks which has nothing on it. Star was confused that there was nothing on it.

"What the? Why is it still not here?"

She checks the other cheek which was also nothing.

"Okay...this is weird" she thought out loud "why did I have that night but not after..."

"I need to get to the bottom of this."

"Bottom of what?" Said a voice behind her which causes Star to jump in fright.

She turns around to see Eclipsa and Moon in the room.

"Mom, Eclipsa, what are you doing here?"

"We just wanted to visit but what did you say earlier?"

"O-oh that, it uhhhh...nothing really"

"It sounds like nothing, come on you can tell us." Moon said worryingly

Star sighs nervously and she tells them about a week ago.

"Well, it's about my cheeks. They...appeared again"

The two older Butterflies widen their eyes in shock and surprise.

"What?" Eclipsa flabbergasted

"Star, what are you talking about? Your cheek mark returned? That's impossible, magic was destroyed" Moon said

"I thought so too but a week ago, me, Marco, David, and Pacifica went to Babel an-" she was cut off by Moon

"Wait, wait, you went to Babel with David and his friend?! You know how dangerous that is!" Moon scolded

"Come on, mom. His my son and his fine."

"Star, please...I don't want him to get hurt. His condition, the week of him being bed ridden."

"I know what I'm doing mom. Besides he fights like Marco."

"*Sigh* fine. Let's go back to the topic."

"Cool, so as I was saying. We went to Babel and got attacked by a giant blob with swords on each hand and a mask!"

"A mask?"

"Yep, then we fight it until Marco gets hit and me soon after. Pacifica was all scared and didn't get to shoot her arrow because she was scared."

"Wait, she can move in the Hidden Hour?"

"I was just as surprised as you. Then his hands and eyes started glowing then summoned a robot with a guitar."

"Ohhh..he did like rock music, probably my fault. Hehe" Eclipsa comments

"Then he clutched his head and It changed into a thing and ripped apart the large blob until there was nothing left"

"My goodness" Moon said in a horrified voice

"That would have been a killer to see." Eclipsa said in a excited voice

"After that, he fought smaller ones with the use of my magic and got knocked unconscious"

"Are you not worried?"

"Of course I'm worried!" Star exclaimed "Mom, he was sleeping for 2 weeks that's not normal! I thought he would be dead because of that even with all the life support."

Moon and Eclipsa were taken aback by her sudden outburst but also know the feeling of their kin getting hurt.

"Calm down,Star. All that matters is that his safe"

"Sorry, sorry. It's just that, work has been piling on and stress is skyrocketing when he gets hurt and-and"

"It's okay, Star." Moon said as she put her hand on Star's shoulder.

She tilts her head down. she walks back to the window and looks out of it.

"It's just, a bad feeling I have for him. Something up with my cheek marks returning, the barrier breaking, the Hidden Hour. If I don't do something, there will be consequences."

"Star...look, how about you relax for a bit. All that stress will kill you. I say we go to a spa to freshen up your mind, okay?" Eclipsa suggested.

Star thought about it for a second but she ultimately accepted it.

"Sure, I really need a break now. I'll have my assistant organize the files."

Star pulls out her phone and calls her assistant. After a short call, she put away her phone and they went to the spa together.

Back at David's school.

David is listening to the lecture about the history of mewni. David feels his eyes getting heavy as the lecture keeps on going but he will himself to stop falling asleep and this causes his intelligence and patience to improve a bit.

"Alright, can anyone tell me, who was the Monster Carver? Anyone?"

The teacher scanned the room to a good candidate for her question and her eyes landed on Pacifica.

"How about you Pacifica?"

"Oh crap, I didn't read about this." She whispered "hey, dude, got the answer?"

"Solaria"

"Uhhhh...Solaria?"

"That's correct. Solaria is known as the Monster Carver because she killed a bunch of monsters. Good work, Pacifica but I'll let this one slide."

"Phew, nice save there , Diaz"

This made his relationship with her deeper than before.

After school

David packed up his school stuff and left the classroom. As he was exiting the classroom, some bumped onto him causing him to fall. David sits up from his spot and rubs his aching side. He looked to his side to see a boy the same age as him but he has white hair. The upper half of his outfit is a black long sleeve polo shirt under a blue vest. His lower half is brown trousers with brown sneakers.

"Sorry, I'm in a hurry." The guy said as he quickly got up and ran past David.

David gets up from his spot and looks at the hurried teen. He dusted himself off and he left the school. He decided to go to the mall again to buy a small snack but before he left the vicinity of the school, his phone vibrated in his pocket and he got his phone from his pocket and saw that his dad massage him.

/Hey, Son, meet me at the Echo Creek mall. I'll be at the front. Love your dad/

He pocketed his phone and he went to the mall. After a bit of walking, he reaches the mall and sees that his dad is there with Pacifica beside him, playing on her phone.

He goes to them and they notice David is here now.

"Glad you came" Marco said

"Hey, bud."

"Alright, now that everybody is here, let's go to two places today. First a store called Janna's Weird Sorts. Then the police station."

Pacifica was caught off guard by the mention of The police station.

"Wait, wait! I didn't do it! It was that rat that stole those watches!" She plead

"The heck are on about? we are visiting it."

Pacifica sighs in relief as she calms down.

"Phew, I really thought you were arresting me.."

"Whatever, let's get going"

Marco enters the mall and the two teens follow him inside. They reached the Store that has the name of Janna's Weird Sorts and they head inside.

Once inside, the store has an eerie atmosphere with a bunch of weird and creepy artifacts, Eyes in jars, shrunken heads, and many more creepy stuff.

Marco shuddered before he could speak "still can't get used to this place."

David felt a tight grip on his left arm which he looked at and saw that it was Pacifica visibly shaking.

They walked to the counter and Marco rang the bell on the counter. After he rang it, a creepy laugh was heard all around them and this made Pacifica tighten her grip on David.

A mysterious figure rises up from behind the counter which scared Pacifica but David and Marco are unimpressed.

The figure then shakes uncontrollably then it changes to a horrific monster as it roared to them, causing Pacifica to yell bloody murder.

As she was screaming, a laugh was heard from the figure which it removed its head and its reveal to be Janna with a big grin on her face.

"Hehe, did I scare ya?" Janna teased

"Her at least but my ear is ringing." Marco said as he rubs his left ear.

"Alright, we got a screamer. You'll be fun at Halloween"

Janna's statement made Pacifica faint which David caught before she could fall over.

"Bonus points too. I'm on a roll"

"Okay, enough with the scary stuff. I'm here for some of your wares." Marco asked

"My wares huh? Of what kind? Cause you know, I have more than that just creepy stuff."

"How about something invigorating? Like an energy drink?"

"If you wanted an energy drink then to the store you, dingus"

"But I want more of a powerful kick to it. Come on, I know you have one."

"Ughh..fine, I'll be right back." She said as she went in the backroom and search for an item.

They waited for Janna as sounds of chaos fills the air. After the commotion, she came back with vitals of something in it. She puts down on the counter and presents it to them.

"Here it is, a little kick for your "stamina" problem."

Marco then blushed in embarrassment as he pointed a finger at her.

"This is not for that!"

"Whatever, that'll be 650 bucks."

"What! This again!? No, I ain't paying that for just some weird vitals."

"Don't worry, you already paid for it" she said as she held his prussian blue wallet while exposing his cards and codes.

"What the?" He pats his body then turns back to her "Stop stealing my wallet!"

Marco glared at her nonchalant attitude for a long while.

Pacifica wakes up from Marco's yelling and she looks around, confused.

"Wha-what happened?" She lazily asked

"Dad" he said while he helps her stand up on her own

Pacifica sees David's dad and she makes a confused expression.

"Is your dad, okay?"

Marco grabs his wallet from Janna then the vitals.

"Pleasure doing business with you, Officer Diaz."

"This is not over, Janna. I'll talk to you again later."

"Sorry, I'm taken"

They left the store and headed for the police station. After leaving the mall and onto the Police station as they enter the station. They walked up to the reception desk and Marco asked for two guys named Ferguson and Alfonso. The receptionist Told them that Alfonso was out for today, and Ferguson is on the east wing.

"Thanks, Gracie."

"No problem Commisioner Diaz."

The trio then went to the east wing and visited Ferguson. They stopped by a door with 2 plates on the door with the name etched on it

The first is the Procurement Specialist and the second is Ferguson's full name.

Marco knocked on the door and waited for a few seconds for Ferguson and it opens to a slightly chubby guy with ginger hair. The room is jam packed of boxes with folders on the floor and a bunch of energy drinks scattered around the room.

"Hey, are you Commissioner Marco or Normal Marco?" He asked nervously

"Does this tell you about me?" He asked as he brings out a box of Britta's Tacos.

"Whoo hoo, Normal Marco" Ferguson then grabs the box and places it on his desk "well don't just stand there, come in dudes"

The trio went inside his office and they sat down on the couch and Ferguson places a plate of snacks and drinks.

"Sorry for the mess, RD is near a breakthrough and they wanted me to get them a box of pixie dust."

"Pixie dust? Why do they need pixie dust?"

"I don't know but they are getting more difficult to find. Anyway, what brings your son and the new recruit here?"

Pacifica was surprised that he knows that she went out with them to fight the blobs.

"Wait, you know?"

"Well, It's kinda obvious that this has been happening for 10 years now and Marco filled me in about this Hidden Hour. Also, Marco and Star get really, really tired the day after."

"Wait, your friends with the mayor too?"

"Yep! Though we don't hang out as much as before but I still consider her as a friend."

"Alright, with all that settled, this guy's is my good friend Ferguson O'Durguson, he has been working as a procurement specialist for 5 years now and able to give us some quality equipment for somewhere and for a price. I still don't know he got some though."

"And you never will comiss-i mean Marco."

"As long as you keep it clean, I'll turn a blind eye."

"Sweet"

"Alright, now let's get some equipment." Marco stood up from the couch with David and Pacifica followed him to the desk. Ferguson then drags a rack of weapons and stacks of armor.

"Alright, what would you like? I have a wide variety of weapons fit for your style."

Pacifica checks all the weapons from the rack and Marco goes to David and talks to him

"Hey son, how about we pick you a weapon? Fist and hands are good but having a weapon is safer."

David nods at him and Marco smiled at his response. They then peruse the weapons until David finds a good weapon for him.

After 10 minutes of checking out weapons and Pacifica suggesting some weapons for David, he finally picks a normal short sword.

"A short sword huh? Good choice." Ferguson comments

Ferguson taps something on his tablet then shows it to Marco for which it's a bill for their purchase of the weapons.

Marco pulls out his credit card and swipes it on the card reader and enters his pin.

Few buttons from Ferguson and places the weapons and some armor they bought to cases.

"Alright, I'll have them by tomorrow be ready and deliver it to your house. I also do special deliveries if you need some specific items or better gear for a higher price."

"Alright, see ya Ferguson."

"Get well soon, Dude"

The trio leaves his office and the police station. They stopped in front of the police station and Marco pulls out a 400 bucks behind his pockets and gave it to them.

"Ohhh, War funds!" Pacifica said excitedly

"You can do whatever you want with it but I suggest that you use it wisely. And David, you'll buy the equipment from now on. I won't be with you a lot because the Cases of the Hollow Syndrome has been piling up again."

"Again? It went down before..why?"

"It's a theory but it seems that the giant blob did something to the cases but it was temporary."

"Aw man, wasted effort." She said

"we need to continue this, so that it won't just pile up even more or worse we get one ourselves."

"That is bad"

"Anyway, I'll let you go and do what you need to do. if you need something for me, just call me,okay?"

"Okay..."

"Sure"

"Okay, I'll see at home." said Marco

He re-enters the police station as Pacifica waves him goodbye.

"Alright, how we stock up with some medicine? Couldn't hurt to do so."

"Idk"

"Wow, an acronym? You really don't to talk normally huh?"

"Whatever."

"Aww, come don't be like that. now , come on and le-" before she could finish her sentence, her phone rings and she pulls out her phone and her eyes widen from what she read.

"Ah Crude"

"What?"

"My archery team is having a late practice today" she explains in an annoyed tone "and i was about ready to hangout with my bestie. I'll see ya at home"

She waves at him before she left him. He continued to the mall to buy his small snack.

After he went to the mall and bought his snack. He went back home and did his homework until it was dark out.

He went downstairs to his home and he was greeted by Star and his Aunt Moon and Aunt Eclipsa and Meteora.

"Oh, hey son. I didn't know that you're already here"

"It's good to see you again, grandson"

"Howdy ho, nephew"

"Pleasure to meet you again, David"

"Can you come here for a bit, we wanted to discuss some things." Said his mother with a serious look.

David complied and he sits besides Eclipsa.

"Thank you, son. Remember what happened the last time we went to Babel? Anything that involves using your hands?"

"Yes...fuzzy"

"I don't blame you." Meteora commented

"Can you try using your magic? Or at least use dip down." Star asked

"Dip...down?"

"You know, the glowy thing that you dip your hands on some hot soup and get a cute little pony?"

"That's not how it works,Star. From what I remember from Glossaryck is that, it's tied to your emotions. But some are different from doing, like Star's soup while mine is the focus of everything I have."

"I didn't have one." Eclipsa said "but Meteora had one when we were at the magic."

"I don't exactly remember what happened but they explained it to me well enough."

"Try..."

David then closes his eyes and focus his emotion but it seems he can't connect with the emotions. He tried to remember what happened when his parents and Pacifica got hurt and this made David breath heavily.

"David? You okay."

David's breathing rapidly became heavier and suddenly tears starts forming out his eyes and everyone gasp in surprise.

"David!" Star yells as she runs closer to him and tries to comfort him with a hug and rubbing his back "don't worry, I'm here David."

Then David's eyes opens and it shows only his eyes to be glowing along with his body. His cheeks marks started appearing but its more prominent that before, his cheek mark appears to have a crescent moon and a heart orbitinh around a ball of light.

"His cheeks!" Moon points out as Moon's cheek marks appeared "Mine as well."

"Oh" Eclipsa said as her cheek mark also reappeared

Meteora pulls out a compact and looks at the mirror to see her's also appeared.

Star check on hers and it also reappeared.

"Wait...it's David. His the key to it." She mumbled

Star let go of David and she back away a bit. David starts calming down and looks at them.

"What... happened..."

"We don't either but it seems you're the source of our cheeks. That would mean..." Moon said

"Spider with a top hat!" Star shouted a spell from her hand while pointing at the ground and a small purple spider with a top hat shot out from her hand. The spider was confused to what is happening and panics. Everyone except David and Meteora, gasped in surprise but Meteora just had her eyes widen.

"I can do magic again..."

"That would be my thought too."

David cheek mark starts disappearing but the others didn't.

"His cheek marks, it's disappearing" Meteora points out

"Yeah but ours isn't?" Eclipsa added

"I know. Alright son, thanks for showing us. You must be tired now. I'll bring some dinner for you later, okay?"

David nodded and he stood up from his seat and tiredly walks to his room. He crashed in to his bed and he slept until his mom brought him a light dinner and he went back to sleep after he ate his dinner.
