9. Chapter 9

Chapter 8

After Ivan leaves, I just stare at emptiness for a while. The whole day was just too much and all the situations I could never have imagined. The shock at the press conference, the interview and my head still doesn't want to wrap around what had happened. I don't interpret much on the fact that Ivan kissed me... my very first kiss. Yes, I know, eighteen years old and not even kissed, but with my past you have other things in mind. He probably just noticed that someone is near his age and wanted to have a nice evening without his team telling him what to do all the time. My thoughts are promptly interrupted, however, when the phone rings.

"Hello?"
"Yo Alexa." It's Rocky.

I can feel my heart starting to beat faster and my guilt eating away at me. It's only then that I realize what actually happened. I was having dinner with the man and let the man kiss me who is going to get in the ring with one of my best friends, actually more like family.

"I wanted to check in and see how you're doing? You know, after all the drama today?"

"Well, if we're honest with ourselves, we were both already expecting it.".

"How was your meeting with Drago?" he asks, and I gulp. "Today was your interview with him, right?"

"Yeah," I just give a short response as I try to calm my pulse.

"Are you okay? Alexa did something happen? Or at the interview, I don´t want to get on Apollos bad side, but if he did or said anything wrong, I'll punch him in the face first."

"No, no," I quickly interject. "It's nothing, Rocky. I just...I've got some articles to write and well I've been thinking about Mickey." I hear him sigh, "I know, I miss him too kiddo."

We talk for a while about everything and before we end the conversation I stop him; "Rocky... I may not be able to tell him, but I can tell you. I have a very bad feeling about this fight."

"If it makes you feel better, neither do I, but I'm in his corner and if something really goes wrong I can intervene in time."

I only hope that my head is telling me more than what actually is ... I have seen a lot with Mickey. Also the end. I push away all the bad thoughts and say goodbye to Rocky. "I'll see you soon, Rocky. Take good care of yourself and your family."
