Chapter 5: Confronting the Dragon
With their hearts pounding and their nerves on edge, Alice and Dorothy stood before the dragon, steeling themselves for the battle that lay ahead.
But to their surprise, the dragon did not attack. Instead, it regarded them with a wise and knowing gaze, as if testing the strength of their hearts.
"We mean you no harm," Alice said, her voice steady despite the fear that gripped her.
The dragon nodded in acknowledgement, its eyes softening with understanding. "You have passed the trials of the enchanted forest," it rumbled. "You may proceed to the grand masquerade ball."
And with that, the dragon stepped aside, allowing Alice and Dorothy to continue on their journey.
