Chapter 1: Death as Mortals and Rebirth as Deities
[Location: Ruined City]
[Time: Unknown]
Shigiraki couldn't process what was happening, only seeing the familiar black tendrils of his archrival around his waist. Following the tendrils, he was surprised to see the brat floating in the air. He didn't know why, but he had seen this quirk before, but couldn't pinpoint where he had seen it. Noticing he wasn't the only one, he saw all the heroes around him also being carried.
Everyone on the hero's side was surprised by Deku's new quirk he had yet to show. However, one hero, Grand Torino, knew this quirk very well, as his eyes latched onto Deku.
("This quirk. It's really you, huh Nana?") Grand Torino said quietly, exhausted from the fight he had with the "successor" of All for One.
[Location: Forest Outskirts]
[Time: Unknown]
While the fight between Deku and Shigiraki was occurring, another fight was brewing, a fight of massive proportions. Momo was ordering her fellow heroes to set up the trap they and others had planned to use to trap the villain known as Gigantomachia, who was being dealt with by Mt. Lady, though her efforts were only slowing the hulking monster down.
Momo's plan was to immobilize Gigantomachia using Honenuki's quirk, then to throw explosives inside the soften ground. Mineta threw his purple balls into the softened pit, all connected together with a yellow rope.
Momo went over the plan with everyone one last time, saying their job was to restrain Gigantomachia as much as possible, while they tried to put the villain to sleep using a solution she had created. When she confirmed that everyone understood the plan, they waited for the enemy.
The ground rumbled beneath their feet, and before Tokage could warn them, Gigantomachia was right on top of them.
[Back With Midoriya]
The heroes watched from the sidelines as Deku attacked Shigiraki with all his might, his own anger clouding some of his common sense. Each attack broke his body, each attack destroying whatever was left in his mangled arms and legs, but he didn't care. As long as Shigiraki was alive, he would always go Plus Ultra.
On the ground, the pro heroes were helpless and could only watch as Todoroki cooled Endeavor down, then moved to help Aizawa for first aid.
"Alright, listen up! I got a plan, but we only have one shot at it!" Bakugou roared to the remaining helping pro heroes.
"I can guess what you're planning. If we can hit him with a single, all-out attack, it might be enough to incapacitate him, maybe even kill him if we are lucky enough." Endeavour said, getting up from the ground, his falmes erupting back to normal.
"How are we going to do that?! They're hundreds of feet in the air, and you aren't fast enough to catch Shigiraki off guard." Rock Lock asked in worry, seeing the flaws in their plan.
"That's what me and Icy-hot are for. We'll act as boosters, allowing Endeavour to grab Hand Job from behind and burn him to a crisp!" Bakugou explained, cracking his knuckles in excitement.
With the plan set, Endeavour placed his arms over Bakugou and Todoroki, as they flared their quirks, Bakugou using his explosions and Todoroki using his flames, with Endeavour using his own flames to boost their speed even more. Todoroki also used his ice to cool his father, so he can unleash as much fire power as possible.
Shigiraki was too distracted by Deku to noticed the torrent of flames heading his way, but when he noticed the air suddenly getting warmer, he was grabbed from behind, his arms locked in place as the faint glow of red and orange gave him the idea of who was behind him.
"Deku! Get back!" Endeavour demanded, stopping Midoriya's rampage, his body unconsciously moving away, already guessing what Endeavour was planning.
"Get off me you old man! Let me go!" Shigiraki yelled, trying to throw the pro hero off of him.
"Over my dead body!" Endeavour roared at the villain, as he tighten his grip on even more, as she roared from the very bottom of his lungs,"ROMINENCE BURN!!!" Endeavour released his greatest move, a literal hell fire.
Flames burst out of his body in every direction, the flame's temperature reaching close to the thousands, barely reaching the temperature for his flames to turn blue, but was hot enough to burn a blistering white.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!" Shigiraki screamed in pain, his entire nervous system was screaming at him, yet he couldn't do anything to fight back, his brain was too overwhelmed with pain to react. Until...
*SPLAT*
"ENDEAVOUR/FATHER!!!" Midoriya, Bakugou and Tododroki yelled to the pro hero, as they watched his flames dwindle to nothing.
To their horror, they see Endeavour's back full of black, jagged tendrals, red lining all of them, and they retracted and returned to their owner; Shigiraki, or at least what was left of him, as fast as they appeared.
Endeavour began to plummet to the ground, the sudden pain knocking unconscious forcing his son and Bakugou to catch him.
Watching Endeavour fall to the ground, Midoriya felt his anger boil inside him, ready to be unleashed towards Shigiraki, but his body was frozen in fear. He wasn't fighting Shigiraki anymore. He was fighting someone else, the aura around him feeling completely different.
"Oh brother.~" Shigiraki and All for One's voice came from the charded villain, his arm outstretched towards Midoriya.
Midoriya couldn't react, as the same black tendrals from before erupted from Shigiraki's hand and went for him. Bakugou saw this happening and gave Endeavour to Todoroki. Using his explosions, he'll push Midoriya out of the way and tank the attack himself. But just as he was about to reach Midoriya, he saw his body glitch out of his way. Bakugou could only watch Midoriya get pierced by the tendrals, one embedding itself through his eye.
"YOU BASTARD!!!" Bakugou yelled with fury, unleashing the biggest explosion he has ever created, snapping the tendrals and cutting All for One to One for All.
Midoriya's body fell limblessly towards the ground, and Bakugou was the only one who could catch him in time, so he focused his attention on the nerd, as they both safely landed on the ground.
"Deku, get up! You can't die on me! Not now!" Bakugou shook Midoriya, trying to pull out all the tendrals from young hero's body, but they were impossible to pull out.
Grand Torino felt his heart break, watching another user of One for All; a kid no less, die by the hands of All for One.
"K...Kac...chan..." Midoriya quietly spoke, grabbing the blonde's attention.
Bakugou told Deku to not speak, wanting him to save his energy, but Midoriya says he doesn't have much time to live, as he felt light-headed and cold. Bakugou screamed at him that he will not let him die, not when he can do something.
"It's t...too late f...for me..." Midoriya spooe quietly, as his arms moved to his hair, plucking a strand from it.
Midoriya said that if he dies, One for All will die too, and Kacchan is the only person he trusts to inherit it and continue its journey to make a better tomorrow. Bakugou could only stare at the strand, refusing to take One for All.
"Please Kacchan, do it for me. If not for me, then for everyone in Japan. Only One for All can stop Shigiraki and All for One. Take it, before I die." Midoriya pleads desperately with Bakugou, wanting to preserve the power that can save the world.
Bakugou hesitated, tears falling from his eyes, but finally he accepts, taking the curly green hair and swollowing it, Midoriya giving him a smile earily similar to All-Might's.
"A hero always smiles in the face of danger." Midoriya spoke his last words, his body finally succumbing to its injuries, and passing on, leaving Bakugou to morn over him.
Bakugou felt his rage and anger rise to a level he has never once felt before, his quirk simering in his body for a fight. He feels the presence of another quirk, its rage greater than his own, wanting to rip the villains limb to limb.
Bakugou's body began to spark with orange electricity, sparks of explosions joining them. Black tendrals erupting everywhere from his body, joined with purple smoke. He also started to float off the ground, still holding Midoriya's body in his arms.
"Oh, so the ninth has past on One for All. Well, let's see what you can do 10th, don't you agree, brother." All for One and Shigiraki's voice called from high above, sensing One for All taking its presence inside the explosive hero.
"You bastard! I don't care what anyone says anymore! Not you, not All-Might, not even the old hag! I'm going to fucking kill you, FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE!!!" Bakugou roared, power exploding from inside him, air being pushed away from him and the ground cracking under the pressure.
"I'm sorry, Izuku. Please, let me apologise for everything I have done, by killing this bastard!" Bakugou placed Midoriya on the ground, flinching from the smile he saw, as he glared at Shigiraki.
"You are very similar to the 2nd, so let's see where the similarities and differences meet a and end, shall we." All for One provoked, Shigiraki's body starting to heal from his burns.
Bakugou wasted no time and launched himself towards Shigiraki, his sheer speed catching the villain off guard, as Bakugou slammed his fist into Shigiraki's jaw, an explosion erupting ont contact, but when Shugiraki was recovering, another explosion was created, this time from nowhere, equaling the massive size of the first one.
"DIE YOU BASTARD!!!" Bakugou roared with unbridled fury, continuing to hammer explosion after explosion on the villains.
[Back With Momo]
Momo and her team was able to trap Gigantomachia in their trap with no problems. Now all they have to do was to open his mouth and throw the solution in to finish him.
Momo watch the giant's mouth open, as she readied to announce to everyone to throw their glass of solution, but suddenly, before she shouted her command, Gigantomachia started to glitch, shocking everyone.
"What the hell?! What's happening?! Are we in a video game or something?!" Kaminari yelled, frightened.
When Gigantomachia stopped glitching, his left arm was no longer stuck, and his attention was fully focused on Momo, his almost lifeless and sunken eyes staring directly into her soul.
Gigantomachia hurled his free hand towards Momo, the girl frozen in place, unable to move or react.
"Momo!" Jiro, Mina, Toru, and all her friends yelled in fright and desperation, all of them heading their way to save Momo, but they were just too slow to save her.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" Gigantomachia's hand slammed into the ground, a sound of cracking bones and water splashing echoed through everyone's ear.
Everyone, heroes and villains, stood still, like they expected something to happen. When the giant villain lifted his hand, what was left could only be described as a horror scene. The hand shaped crater Gigantomachia left was covered in blood and various amount of ripped clothing and mangled organs and hair. Bone shards could also be found scattered everywhere. Some blood and guts were even on Gigantomachia's hand, as they dripped off of it.
"Momo..." Jiro knelt before the ruined corpse of her best friend and crush.
Jiro couldn't believe it, nobody could. Whatever caused Gigabtomachia to glitch out, either a quirk or a fucked up weapon, it cause the death of one of their smartest friends.
"My, my, what a mess. I'm terribly sorry for our pet's accident. Why don't I help clean up after himself, just like a responsible pet owner should." Dabi spoke from the giant's back, hopping down in front of Momo's corpse.
"Get away from her!" Jiro roared, plugging in her jacks into her boot and letting off the loudest soundwave she has ever made, thanks to her rapid heartbeat.
Dabi and all the villains covered their ears in pain, even Gigantomachia began to feel pain in his ears, but as soon as Jiro sent the attack, she was too exhausted to continue, Dabi recovering first.
"You're a feisty one you are. You really care for your friends, don't you." Dabi mocked Jiro's loyalty to her friends.
"Momo was my best friend, and I won't let you cause more harm to her." Jiro spat, ready to attack Dabi again, but she was tackled out of the way by Kaminari when Dabi sent a strong burst of blue flames at her.
"No!!! Kaminari, let me go! She needs me!" Jiro tried to pry herself off of Kaminari, but her other friends helped him hold her down.
"Jiro, it's too late! She's gone! There's no point in trying anymore! We need you alive!" Kaminari tried to reason with her, watching one of his closest friends break down in tears.
When Dabi finished, Momo's body was now only spects of ash, the remaining bits of her on Gigantomachia's hand.
"So, what are you hoping to do? Are you going to fight and join your friend in the afterlife, or are you going to value your own lives and run away like the children you are?" Dabi said coldly, fire sparking from his raised hand, his smile as creepy as his scars.

[Time: Unknown]
Midoriya felt weightless, like his body was under the effect of Uraraka's quirk. But at the same time, he felt something soft underneath him. Softer than any pillow he had ever layed on. He felt so relaxed, so peaceful.
Midoriya was looking back on his memories, remembering his fight with Shigiraki and his own death, but with how calm and peaceful he was feeling, he couldn't believe the war even happened. It only being a horrible nightmare. But that couldn't be true either, as the whole experience felt too real for him, and the pain he felt was worse than anything he has ever felt in his life.
Midoriya opened his eyes, expecting the feeling of calm to go away when he wakes up in his dorm room, but all he saw was open sky. But the sky wasn't your usual blue or cloudy white. No, it was a cotten candy pink, with lemon yellow clouds dotting the unusual sky.
Midoriya thought he was still dreaming, looking around, and seeing the exact same clouds as the ones in the sky underneath him.
"(Wow, these must be the softess pillows to ever exist.)" Midoriya thought, as he pressed and squeezed the yellow clouds, their texture reminding him of high quality marshmellows.
Midoriya felt an intrusive thought make its way into his head, and he couldn't stop himself, sitting up straight and ripping a small piece off. He stared at the small cloud in his hand, and before he could stop himself, he shoved it into his mouth. Midoriya's eyes sparkled, his taste buds being bombarded with some of the best flavours and textures he ever had. The cloud was sweet, soft, juicy, delectible, like the sweetest gummy bear in his life. His hand went to grab another piece, but his other hand slapped him out of flavour heaven.
Slapping himself also brought the logic half of his brain to the forfront, as he realised he was in unfamiliar territory and he needed to assess his surroundings. When he stood up, he saw many cherry blossum trees around him, each on their own grassy hill that stuck out of the clouds. Midoriya awed at the beauty of the trees and their leaves. He has never seen anything as beautiful as this place before or will he ever see if he leaves this place.
"Greetings, Izuku Midoriya. I hope you are enjoying the view as much as I am." An angelic voice spoke from behind Midoriya, scaring him.
Midoriya jolted forwards, almost tripping over his own feet, but he was able to catch himself before he could land face first in the clouds.
"Oh my, I am terribly sorry. I did not mean to scare you like that." The same voice spoke, drawing Midoriya's attention to its source.
When his eyes locked onto the one who was speaking, his eyes widen in awe, shock, fright and maybe even horror, as he craned his head upwards to take in the absurd height of the being in front of him.
Standing only a few feet from him, stood a being Midoriya could only describe as an angel. Sporting three pairs of enormous wings, each feather tipped with pure gold. Four arms, the bottom pair folded behind their back while the other pair seemed to reached towards Midoriya, like they were trying to catch him when he fell. The angel also wore a white robe with various gold highlights and decoration. Lastly their face, being the most stunning visual of their body, with their face being pure white, like the rest of their body, and their eyes having long gold eyelashes, each attached to a pair of glowing eyes. Their smile drew across their face like a small river and their long blonde hair draped down pass their shoulders, the length down their back reaching to their waist.
"W...who, a...are you?" Midoriya asked, his body tensed at seeing the over 10 foot angel in front of him.
"Do not be scared child. I seek no intentions to harm you." They said, raising one of their hands to wave off Midoriya's stress.
"For who I am, that is quite complicated. I do not own a name like you humans do. Nor do I have a title. I exist to do the bidding of the universe, for I am a part of it. An extension of the universe's will, if you want to get technical." The angel explains, seemingly glowing even brighter as they splayed their wings.
Midoriya felt his body tremble at the sudden power being displayed from the angel, feeling himself fall to his knees at the sheer pressure of the angel's power. The angel noticed and stopped flexing their power.
"Oh I am terribly sorry. I haven't been around many mortals during my time of existence, so I have trouble keeping my power in check around you. Here, allow me." After apologising, they waved their hand, Midoriya's body suddenly floating off the ground and by gently put down.
"U...um, thank you?" He said, still confused and terrified of what's happening.
"Please child, do not be afraid. I am not here to hurt you." The angel said, giving Midoriya a kind smile he only saw from his own mother and Uraraka.
Midoirya asked what they wanted from him. He still didn't understand what the angel said during the lightshow, too distracted from trying to resist the pressure of their power.
"Well, child. I am to aid you and your friend during your, unfortunate circumstances." The angel said, confusing and causing Midoriya to realised where he actually was.
This, this was heaven. It has to be. First the clouds and bright colours, the wondrous flavours from the cloud and the angel in front of him. It has to be. Which means he was... dead. He had died. The whole war wasn't just some horrible nightmare. It actually happened. An event he couldn't stop and was a victim of.
Midoriya cried, tears bursting from his eyes, curling up on himself from the pain, stress and horrors of the whole event suddenly coming back to him. He couldn't handle all of it at once, overwhelmed as more things just kept getting added on top like his burdens, his promises, his goals, everything. All pushing him further into pain and misery.
"Child, please! Calm down, everything will be okay. I promise. It is not best to cry in such an environment. Allow me to take you to your friend, so that she can help you relieve your stress easier." The angel asked, using their massive body and wings to wrap Midoriya up in a hug, his body easily accepting the hug, starved for any type of affection during such a low pointnin his life..
Wait.
"Did you say a friend of mine?" Midoirya asked, stopping his crying for a second when he realised what the angel just said.
"Yes, I did. She was, unfortunately, one of the many victims of that horrible war. Quite a tragedy, I must say. Seeing such cruelty is such a horrible thing to watch." The angel said, their face showing remorse and sadness.
"Can... can I see her?" Midoriya asked, seeing the angel's face lighten up, if their smile was anything.
"Of course. I was going to unite the two of you anyway. But it is nice to hear that you are eager to see her." The angel said, holding out one of their hands for Midoriya to grab it.
Midoriya hesitated, but the angel's smile gave him the courage to grab it. Once their hands were holding, they were suddenly engulfed in a bright light even greater than the angel's own natural glow.
[Location: Unknown]
[Time: Unknown]
Momo was very overwhelmed at the moment. All the information she was told by the angel was quite frightening, but at the same time comforting and intriguing. The whole idea was foren to her, but she couldn't help but be thankful for the angel's offer.
"I wonder how long they'll be? They said they would bring someone with them, but they never said who." Momo thought, as she drank from a cup of tea the angel gave her.
Suddenly, her question was answered when a massive flash of light appeared near her and the table she was sitting at. Momo had to cover her eyes from the extreme brightness, almost dropping her cup of tea. When the light finally subsided, Momo was able to see, but her eyes bulged and her mouth hung open, her grip on her tea cup finally loosening and it smashed onto the ground, spilling all her tea.
"Mi...midoriya?"
[Location: Unknown]
[Time: Unknown]
Midoriya felt drowsy and dizzy. The feeling of disappearing from one spot to another was very disorientating for him. But as quickly as the dizziness came, it just as quickly went away, allowing Midoriya to view his surroundings. But his attention was drawn to the sound of shattering glass or porcelain, and a familiar voice.
"Mi...midoriya?" Midoriya looked over to see Momo sitting at a table, shattard porcelain around her feet.
"Yaoyorozu?" Midoriya whispered, his full attention on his friend.
Neither of them knew what to do, but stare at each other. Their own shock preventing their bodies to act, their brains racked with questions. They were thankfully brought out of their stupor when the angel spoke up.
"Alright, I know this may be a questionable reunion. But we need to discuss why the both of you are here in the first place." The angel said.
Midoriya was confused, but Momo knew a little; the angel already telling her some information before Midoriya arrived.
Clicking their fingers, the angel reconstructed Momo's cup of tea and teleported Midoriya to his own seat, his own cup of tea in front of him, nice and hot. Midoriya was even more confused, but he tried to keep himself calm. The angel approached the table, conjuring up their own chair and cup of tea. Sitting down, they cleared their throat to begin speaking.
"Well, I know the both of you have some questions about who I am and what this place is, correct?" The angel asks, getting nods from the two teens.
"Well, to make a very long story short, you are in a place many would call, heaven. And that also means you are both dead." When the angel explained where they are, they could see the tension in their bodies.
"I know this may be a lot to unravel, but I do have some good news for the both of you. Miss Yaoyorozu already knows a little, because we discussed it before you arrived." The angel explained, gesturing to Midoriya.
Midoroya was a little shocked, but stayed quiet so the angel can explain further. The angel took his silence as a confirmation to continue speaking.
"This may be hard to understand, but your deaths weren't not supposed to happen, and now I will have to fix what has been broken." The angel surmised, shocking Midoriya and even Momo.
"Not supposed to happen?! What do you mean?! If we weren't supposed to die, why did we?!" Midoirya asked, unable to process anything that is happening.
"Well, Midoriya, I can easily answer your question. First, the progression of time can not be changed or altered, except by time travel or time travelers, or from someone powerful enough to physically alter the events of the timeline." The angel explained, more questions popping in the hero's head.
"So, if our deaths weren't supposed to happen, that means they were altered, but I don't think it was time travel because Gigantomachia glitched out. So I'm guessing it was the latter senario, correct?" Momo proposed, surprising Midoriya with how quickly she pieced things together.
"You are quite right, Miss Yaoyorozu. Normally, I, or my brothers and sister, interfere with anyone who causes such things, but I was unable to stop them because their power was surprisingly greater than mine." The angel said sadly but got a question from Midoriya.
"If I remember, you said you were an exstension of the universe. Right?" He asked, getting a small nod from the angel.
"Doesn't that mean you have infinite power? How can anyone be stronger than infinity?!" Midoriya asked, slightly raising his voice, unable to comprehend the amount of power someone needs to overpower the universe itself.
"It does not work that way, Midoriya, but I will not bore you with the complications of such matters, as they do not concern you. What does concern you is what is going to happen to the both of you." The angel said, believing it was best they focus on the present then the past.
Midoriya wanted to know who the person that basically killed him, but he somehow knew he'll never know or understand how they succeeded with such a task. Like, seriously! Changing the event of a timeline and being stronger than the infinite power of the universe. It was all incomprehensible.
"Now!" The angel clapped their first pair of hands, "Allow me to get to the good news." Midoriya and Momo quietly listen to the angel, ready to absorb all the information they will say.
"Fortunately for the both of you, you will be granted a second chance at life." The angel exclaimed, shocking Midoirya, but Momo's face didn't change besides a little smile.
"Wait! A second chance at life?! You can do that?!" Midoriya asked, getting a chuckle from the angel.
"Of course, Midoriya. I control every aspect of the universe. Which also includes the concepts of life and death, along with everything that resides inside the universe." The angel said, a little proud to boast their powers.
Before Midoriya could celebrate quietly in his head, the smile on the angel's face fell, concerning both the teenage heroes.
"But there is one, caveat to this process." Hearing the silence from the two, the angel continuing, "You see, because your deaths were caused by an outside force and not from time travel, the very concept of your existence have been corrupted." The angel explained, shocking the both of them.
"Corrupted! How, why?!" Momo exclaimed, horrified from what the Angel said.
"Do not worry. Being corrupted is not a bad thing. It just means you are incompatible with your own timeline." The angel explained.
Midoirya asked how they could be given a second chance at life, if they couldn't be brought back to life in the first place. That is when the angel began to explain about divergences. Branches of the main timeline that follows their own flow of time, different from their own or the main timeline. The angel explained they will create one of these divergences to place their souls in.
"But that does mean we need to change something about the two of you." The angel said, confusing the two heroes in training.
"Change? Why? Is it because we're corrupted." Momo asked, but the angel waved off her concerns.
"Of course not. But to create a divergence, I need to change something about the main timeline to create one. And I believe it will be best for the two of you to change instead of something from the timeline to change. But that is up to you to choose." The angel explained, seeing some relief in the two of them.
"What can be changed. If we want to change something about ourselves, I believe it is best to know what can be changed." Momo said, seeing a conformation nod from Midoriya.
"Anything! You can change your eye colour, your personality, your history, anything! But the choice is yours to choose." The angel listed off, watching the two students think.
Midoirya thought about the many things he could change, but then he realised. He won't have One for All when he is brought back to life. He'll be quirkless. And if they change something about themselves, then why couldn't he give himself a quirk. He wondered if they could give themselves new powers. For him, he'll gladly agree to that, but he doesn't know what Momo will think about it.
"Um, what about quirks? Can we change what quirks we have?" Midoirya suggested, gaining the attention of his friend and the angel.
"What?" Momo asked, a little surprised.
"Um, w...well, I mean. For most of my life, I was quirkless, so having a quirk much earlier in life sounds a lot better for me. B... but you don't have to change your quirk if you don't want to Yaoyorozu. It's your quirk, after all." Midoriya explained, flailing his arms, telling Momo she doesn't need to follow his example.
"I understand where you are coming from, Midoriya. When you were given One for All, you never saw it as your own quirk. But if I give one of your own, you will live a much more happier and comfortable life." The angel laughed but realised what they said when they saw Midoriya's horrified expression and Momo's confusion.
"Oh dear, I may have said something I should not have said." The angel said, Midoriya screaming in his head,
("NO SHIT SHERLOCK!!!")
"Midoriya. What is the angel talking about? I would understand you being quirkless with a quirk as dangerous as yours, but what do they mean about being given it?" Momo questioned Midoriya, seeing him shake aggressively in his seat.
"Uuuuhhhhhh, w...w...we...ll..ll I...I...I..." Midoriya tried to think up a response, but he just couldn't speak.
Midoriya didn't know what to do. I mean yeah, he is dead, so her knowing about One for All wouldn't be a bad thing, but they were being brought back to life and he didn't want to burden her with the knowledge of such a secret. And how will she react he lied to her and everyone about his quirk. If she found out he was just some quirkless nobody, she would just make fun of him like everyone does when they find out he's quirkless. That is just how things work in their society.
"Allow me Miss Yaoyorozu. I believe it would be best to show you what One for All is. Midoriya seems to be incapable of telling you at the moment." The angel said, bringing one of their hands to Momo's head.
Pressing their index and middle finger to her forehead, they inplanted all the knowledge of One for All, from what the quirk is, to its creation, its history with All for One, and its previous holders, including even some snippets of Midoriya's training to wield the power.
Once Momo was finished processing all the information she was giving, slightly blushing at the memory of Midoirya screaming shirtless, she couldn't believe it what she learned. The kindest and most innocent boy of their class; besides Koda, was hiding such an incredible and dangerous secret. An understandable secret and a secret she believed was eating at Midoirya's psyche slowly.
"Midoriya. I want to know why you kept this a secret. I understand why you needed to, but I want to hear it from you." Momo asked, knowing how stressed Midoriya might be feeling that she emidiently clarified herself so he can speak without fear.
Midoriya stared at her, petrified, but her stern face turned into a warm smile, silently communicating she wouldn't judge him no matter his reasons. Midoriya, now calm, took a deep breath in, ready to explain himself.
"Uh, well. All Might wanted to keep One for All a secret, so I just did what he wanted me to do. And then there was the league of villains and All for One." Midoriya started, his nerves relaxing the more he talked.
"I also wanted to keep all of you safe. If you knew about One for All, you could have been targeted by horrible people and I didn't want that. So I kept it to myself." Midoriya continued, not noticing Momo's saddened expression.
"Midoirya, I want to know. Was keeping One for All a secret hard? Like, were there times you wanted to tell someone, but couldn't?" Momo asked, seeing a hesitant look in his eyes.
"Well, I did try to tell Kacchan after our first hero class, but he didn't believe me. He only learned about it after Kamino. But after that, I tried to keep it a closed secret from everyone. You are the second person to know about it from me." Midoriya said, Momo's eyes widening in shock and even horror.
"Midoriya. How many people know about One for All?" Momo asked, waiting for Midoirya's answer.
"Six. Seven if we include yourself." Midoriya said.
"I see. Y'know I would've supported you Midoriya, y'know that. Right?" Momo asked, placing her hands over Midoriya's clentched ones.
"But I didn't want to put you in danger. If I told you, what would have happened if someone went after you because of what you knew? I didn't want to burden anyone. I just..." Midoriya trailed off, but was cut off from a sudden hug from behind by Momo.
Midoriya frozed, blushing hard from such affection from someone as beautiful as Momo. His body was shaking, and he couldn't stop himself.
"Midoriya, please. It's alright. You need to understand that you are not a burden to anyone. I don't know where you got that from, but non of us see you like that. We will always do our best to help you in any way possible." Momo consoled him, Midoriya's shaking stopping from how caring Momo was being.
Momo then heard sobbing and looked down to see Midoriya crying, but she could tell they were happy tears with his small smile. Midoriya then turned around to fully hug her, quietly speaking through his sobbing how much of a good friend she is. Momo was embarrassed from his praise, but couldn't help but cry herself, Midoriya's tears being very infectious.
The angel was just on the sidelines, watching them bond with each other, allowing the both of them to bring out their emotions to clear their troubled minds. But they realised they don't have much time left and needed to speed things up.
"Alright, you two. I am sorry to break up this heartfilled moment up, but I need to know what you want to change about yourselves so I can send you off to your new lives." The angel asked, watching the teens break from their hug and sitting back into their seats.
"Well, angel, sir. I believe Midoriya's proposal of being given new quirks sounds like a wonderful idea. If we are going to start new lives, I believe we can learn something from using new powers." Momo suggested, shocking Midoriya, but he nodded in approval.
"Wondeful Momo. But I do want to ask, do you want to choose the powers yourselves, or do you want me to do the honours?" The angel asked, watching the teens discuss among themselves.
After a few minutes of talking, they came up with an answer. Midoriya cleared his throat to speak.
"Um, well, mr angel sir. Momo and I believe it would be best for you to pick our powers. It would be cheating if we chose ourselves, and having the element of surprise sounds like a more fun idea." Midoriya explained, seeing the angel's face grin with happiness and joy.
"Hohohohohoho! Wondeful, absolutely WONDEFUL!!! I was hoping you would choose the latter. Because I already have the perfect powers for the both of you." The angel said, snapping their fingers with one of their hands.
With a flash of light, two orbs of light appeared infront of Midoirya and Momo. Bright gold for Midoirya and deep purple for Momo. For the first time for Midoriya and Momo, the angel showed off their second pair of arms, as they unfurled their wings and splayed out all their arms.
"Midoriya Izuku, I grant you the power of true creation! With this power, you will have the power over creation itself. Just by saying the word, 'Sozo' you can create anything you want! Nothing is impossible with it. Only your imagination can limit your powers!" The angel declared, their second right hand moving the golden orb into Midoriya's body.
Midoirya felt a stream of unimaginable power flow through him, a small aura of gold surrounding him. Momo watched in awe at the display and the happiness in Midoriya's face.
"And Yaoyorozu Momo!" The angel spoke, gaining her attention, "I grant you the power of true destruction! With this power, you will be able to destroy anything you look or point at, just by saying, 'Hakai'. But be warned, using too much of this power will cause your mind to fall into madness, so use it wisely, and sparingly." The angel announced, using their second left hand to move the purple orb into Momo.
When the orb passed into her, she was suddenly hit with a wave a raw power. So much powershe screamed from how much it was, a powerful aura erupting from her, as the ground beneath her shattard. Midoriya watched such an event happen, and from standing right next to her, he could tell she has the power to rival or even surpass One for All easily.
When Momo's burst of power passed, the angel apologised for the sudden wave of power, as the power of destruction is more focused towards raw strength. Momo said it wasn't a problem, because she felt great, better than she ever had in her entire life and death.
"Alright, now that we have everything prepared. Are you both ready to begin your new lives?" The angel asked, watching the both of them look at each other.
"Umm, angel sir? Do you mind giving us a few minutes to say goodbye to each other? We might not be able to see each other for a while after this." Momo asked, and the angel nodded, dissapearing in a flash of light, saying to just call them when they are ready to begin.
Midoirya didn't know what to say. He knew Momo was struggling to cope with this, like he did with One for All. He may not be a people person, but his years of analysis allowed him to pick up details in people's behaviours. When he observed Momo, he could tell she has similar problems like him, like his anxiety and shyness, but she also has her own problems like her self confidence issues.
"So, how do you feel about all of this?" Momo asked, bringing Midoriya out of his train of thought.
"Huh? Sorry, I was rambling about something." Midoriya apologised, Momo only giggling.
"It's okay. I just wanted to know what you thought about this whole thing?" Momo said.
"Oh, well, at first, not great. Being killed isn't the greatest, but now with these new abilities and the prospects of a new life. I feel as excited as I did when I was given One for All." Midoirya said, clenching his hands into fists.
"What about you?" Midoriya asked.
Momo was quiet, thinking about her answer to Midoriya's question. She was looking down into her cup of tea, as hot when she was given it. Momo couldn't think of many good things coming from this. Starting a new life for her is basically saying all her efforts before are now meaningless, and she would have to do it all over again. How can she cope with such a thing?
"I don't know. I know you're excited to have a redo on your whole life, but. I just feel like everything I worked for, everything I strived for and everything I have accomplished, are now meaningless. All because someone used us like toys." Momo said, tears falling and her grip on her tea cup increasing, not noticing the cracks forming until the cup shattered.
Neither of the teens acknowledged the shattard cup, because Midoriya was thinking up a way to help cheer his friend up.
"I understand what you are saying. Feeling like everything you have done means nothing. But you can see it in another way." Midoriya said, seeing Momo looking up at him.
"What do you mean Midoriya?" Momo asked.
"Well, if we remember everything from our previous life, we can use that to help make our second life better. We would be able to fix our mistakes, we can help people we never did, and we can create new bonds with new people. Nobody said we have to do everything all over again. Its a new life with new challenges." Midoriya listed off all the benefits, but Momo didn't seemed convinced.
"What if you're wrong? What if we try to do something different, but are forced to do the same things we did in our old lives?" Momo asked with pleaded eyes.
"We shouldn't let our previous lives dictate our new ones. If our lives are set in stone, then we'll just have to break through that wall. I did it once with Sir Nighteye, and I'll do it again. But this time, we'll do it together." Midoriya said, seeing a small smile cross Momo's face.
"Hehe, thanks, Midoriya. Thank you for cheering me up." Momo thanked Midoriya, seeing a bright smile on the boy's face.
Midoriya was about to call the angel to send them off to their new lives, but he saw Momo's face drop again, telling him she was still doubting herself. Midoriya understood that one speech wouldn't help her entirely, so before they would have to be seperated for an unknown amount of time, he dicided to give her something to remember him and keep going.
"M...momo?" Midoirya asked, seeing her eyes slightly widen from hearing her name from him, "D...did your mum ever sing you a lullaby?" He asked, confusing Momo.
"Umm, no. Not from what I remember. Why?" She asked curiously.
"Well, when ever I had trouble sleeping, either from nightmares or when I was really sick, my mum would sing me lullabies to help me sleep. They were usually songs from america, but I never knew why she sung american songs." He said, Momo's confused face not changing.
"Why are you asking me this, Midoriya?" Momo asked, finally realising he was calling her Momo, unable to understand where he was going.
"Uh, well. I wanted to ask. Is it okay for me to sing you a lullaby, to y'know, give you something to remember me by? I know I might be overstepping, but I just want to help keep you calm, that's all." Midoriya explained, seeing Momo's eyes sparkle a little.
Momo accepted his request with happiness, saying how much she appreciates Midoriya for caring about her so much. Midoriya said it's a hero's job to care for people, and it's just in his nature to help others. Momo giggled, remembering the many times Midoriya would put himself into danger to protect others, from protecting Tsuyu, saving Eri, and fighting off Stain to save Iida.
"Well, I'm not really great at singing, so don't expect too much." Midoriya said, a little nervous and his smile a little shaky.
"I don't mind Midoriya. I believe you have a lovely voice, so I know you'll sing wonderfully." Momo complimented, making Midoriya blush a little.
"A...alright. T...th...thank y...ou, Momo." Midoriya thanked Momo for her compliment, blushing.
Midoirya took in a deep breath, calming his nerves and clearing his throat. As if on cue, a quiet melody began to play, but Midoriya and Momo didn't mind the lovely music, as Midoriya was ready to sing.
["Flower, gleam and glow..."]
["Let your power shine..."]
Momo carefully listened to Midoriya's song, entranced by the beauty of his voice. When he said he wasn't good at singing, he massively underestimated hinmelf.
["Make the clock reverse..."]
["Bring back what was once was mine."]
Momo's felt her body relax, completely enthralled by the song. She was the smartest in their class, so she knew the english language quite well, and these lyrics to her were nothing but beautiful.
["Heal what has been hurt..."]
["Change the fate's design..."]
Momo couldn't help but inch her chair closer to Midoirya, not realising how close she was, the song distracting her too much.
[Save what has been lost..."]
["Bring back what once was mine..."]
["What once was mine."]
Midoriya finished singing, the background music subsiding. Midoriya never knew singing would feel so comforting, but he definitely appreciated his mother's singing more than he ever had now.
"So, umm, Momo, how was... AH!!!" Midoriya turned to Momo to ask for her opinion, but the sudden closeness of their faces threw him off his chair, his face turning fully red.
"Ah, Midoriya! Are you okay?! Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you like that! The song was so good I didn't realise how close I was. Sorry!" Momo apologised for her mistake, a visible blush plastering itself on her face, but she ignored it in helping Midoriya off the ground.
"No, it's alright! You didn't mean to do it on purpose, so there's no hard feelings. Thanks for helping me though." Midoriya waved off her apology and accepted her hand.
The two laughed a little, with Momo saying she liked his singing, thanking him greatly for giving her such a wonderful memory to remember him by, till they meet again in the future. Midoriya kept his blush, saying he only did it to help her feel better. Momo says he succeeded, saying she will cherish it till they finally reunite.
"Alright you two, I think it is about time for you to leave. I do not want you to take up too much time here." The angel suddenly appeared in a quick flash of light.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. I'm just nervous about all of this. What about you Momo?" Midoriya said, looking over to her.
"I'm a little nervous too, but we've been through much worse, so I know we'll get through this, right Midoriya?" Momo said, Midoriya never losing his blush for a second.
"P...please, c...call me Izuku. I've b...been calling y...you by your f...first name, s...so I b...believe it is f...fair." Midoriya offered, seeing Momo's smile widen a little.
"Alright then, Izuku. We'll get through this like heroes!" Momo cheered, both her's and Midoriya's blushes also growing,
[A Few Minutes Later]
Midoriya and Momo were standing underneath the cherry blossum tree, standing only inches away from each other, as the angel stood a few feet from them.
"Well, Midoriya Izuku and Yaoyorozu Momo, I believe it is time for us to part ways for good. But for the pair of you, it is only a temporary goodbye." The angel spoke, as the two nodded.
"Our time with each other may have been short, but I know you will remember this moment fondly?" The angel podered, which Midoriya said he'll remember them for the opportunity they gave them.
The angel happily smiled, as they unfurled their second pair of arms and placed both pairs together, as the brightest light from the angel shone from each hand.
"MAY YOUR NEW LIVES GRANT YOU HAPPINESS, OPPORTUNITY AND PEACE!!!" The angel announced, their voice suddenly sounding like multiple voices stacked on top of each other.
Midoriya and Momo felt their bodies glow, beginning to turn into light, feeling their existence dissapearing from this plane to another. Midoriya looked over to Momo with a smile, as she did the same.
"Till we meet again." Midoriya said and Momo returned the gesture, as the light traveled up to their heads, as they finally dissapeared from heaven.
The angel smiled, breathing a sigh of relief that they have finally taken care of that problem. But now they have another one to attend to.
"You know you could have created a divergence a safer way, right?" The angel asked no one in particular.
"Well I mean..." Someone teleported next to the angel, a smile plastering their face, "I just got bored creating new timelines the normal way, so I wanted to spice things up a little." The mystery person said.
"Well, how you did it does not matter anymore, as they are now under your care now. You know that, right?" The angel asked the stranger.
"Of course, of course. I'll make sure they are in good hands." The stranger promised.
"Please do. They have suffered enough to go through such troubles again. At least, for a while." The angel said, leaving the stranger alone.
The stranger just smiled, thinking of all the adventures their new timeline would create. Placing two fingers on their forehead, they left, ready to overview the new timeline they forced the angel to create.
