Chapter 2: C'est une grande habileté que de savoir cacher son habileté.

The month was already given a bunch of drama. To the dismay of everyone, the classes' weekly private point gain fell to 0, meaning Class 1-D were receiving no class points whatsoever.

This was somewhat significant, as beforehand, most of the class were enjoying themselves, in a swimming pool or acting like school was the easiest thing in the world.

Now, they were seeing the consequences of their action. Even though Ryugetsu shows a stoic expression, he still suffers because he's part of the class.

In the event leading up to this, the sheer amounts of people joining the martial arts room had tripled, from roughly five to fifteen. The spread from the class was as follows, including the first and second years.

Class A: 5 (two 2nd years, three 1st year)

Class B: 4 (two 2nd years, two 1st year)

Class C: 3 (two 2nd years, one 1st year)

Class D: 4 (two 2nd years, two 1st year)

Due to the increase in regular attendance, the martial arts room was forced to expand, and become a whole new club.

Of course, with everyone doing different martial arts, like taekwondo, karate, judo, and more, the school decided that putting them all in one was easier. This upset some members, but they realized it meant everyone could learn different aspects of different martial arts, allowing them to learn from each other.

Ryugetsu was practicing his second martial art: Wing Chun with the Wing Chun dummy to practice his offense and defense. Ryugetsu is also learning multiple karate and judo, which allows him to use his hands more effectively. Ryugetsu particularly liked Judo, grabbing opponents in the right areas to maximize the amount of damage he could give off, but he lacked the muscle and strength to lift opponents. He would need to do more muscle development if he wanted to do so until Ryugetsu goes back to practice his Wing Chun.

Ryugetsu continued practicing on his Wing Chun while in his mind, there was something that Chabashira had explained.

(Flashback)

"Indeed, this is called the S-system," Chabashira said.

Sae Chabashira wrote on the board something about the point list for freshmen classes (S-system). For Classes A, B, C, and D, there are 940, 650, 490, and 0 corresponding class points.

"It evaluates students in real-time and assigns numerical value. Observe. Class D has thoroughly proven that you deserve to be ranked dead last. You truly are the worst of the worst." Chabashira stated.

All of the students were in disbelief by the teacher's statement until Chabashira started clapping her hand making everyone confused by her action.

"However, I am rather impressed with this class. Never in the history of this school, has a class blown through all of their points in the first month, not even Class D," Chabashira said as Hirata stood up his chair.

"Excuse me, will you at least tell us what the school's criteria is for gaining and losing points?" Hirata asked.

"You're preparing for the real world, so figure it out. In the workforce, you are expected to come to the table knowing what to do. On the board, I have written the current scores held by all first-year classes. For every point the class gets, 100 private points are distributed to each student individually. When the school year began, each first-year class was allotted 1,000 collective points. To be frank, you people lost every point you had." Chabashira explained.

"Teacher? Will we get the chance to earn any points back?" Kushida asked.

"Of course. And in doing so, if you earn more points than Class C, you'll be promoted up to Class C, and Class C will be downgraded to D. Your earliest opportunity to do this is coming up in the midterms. Depending on your scores, you can earn as many as 100 points for the class." Chabashira explained.

"A hundred measly points?" Ike repeated.

"Yeah. But it's better than nothing, right?" Haruki said hestiatly.

"However, these are the grades from the most recent quiz you took. And as you can see, they are complete garbage! From this point forward, anyone who receives a failing grade on any midterms or finals will be expelled immediately." Chabashira said coldly.

Some students in the class were shocked, neutral, and growled by the teacher's statement.

(Flashback End)

'The student's actions and behavior judge the S-system to know whether you're a good student or not. If the student chose violence over peace, their point will be downgraded. Considering this most recent development, everyone in the class is gonna have to completely change their habits, and that's only to get us a few meager points. So, if everyone doesn't ace the midterms, we're all going to be royally screwed.' Ryugetsu explained thoughtfully as he finished practicing his Wing Chun.

Regardless, while he didn't talk much to the other club members, he did learn a lot, as each would have their days willingly to teach the others how to do some techniques from their section of martial arts, whether it was kung-fu, judo, or karate.

When it came to him, and others wanting to learn taekwondo, Ryugetsu would merely go to the punching bag, and showcase a kick.

He never really said much, as he felt it was irrelevant. Of course, teaching others wasn't mandatory, and thus they could only pressure him into teaching them some techniques, which he declined for obvious reasons.

As Ryugetsu finished his martial arts, he eventually found himself in quite an interesting area of the school. It was a specific room, where a lot of individuals were within the area. Ryugetsu put on a mask he had worn before, the same one he used to protect himself whether he went out. Thus, many individuals didn't know who this masked person was.

"Who the hell are you?" One of the larger men asked, approaching the newcomer.

"Is this a betting club?" Ryugetsu asked deeply.

The man eyed him before nodding, "What, are you here to critique us?" The individual is on the edge and the defense.

Ryugetsu shook his head, "No, I'm here to bet your private points."

The individual seemed shocked, before relaxing, "Very well, what year are you in?"

"1st year, got 99,000 private points, what exactly are we betting on?" Ryugetsu asked, eyeing a chessboard. Ryugetsu could already tell what they were betting on.

"Place some private points down, and you play against the better on a chessboard." The individual spoke, " You can face him, he put 50,000 private points on the sideline."

Ryugetsu nodded before he approached the other end of the chessboard. Not speaking too much, he put 50,000 private points, meaning he could get up to 149,000 private points.

However, since Ryugetsu had played a lot of chess in his dojo, he won multiple times against his opponent last year.

To say they were experienced, it simply was not true. He had beaten them nonstop five times. He now had 349,000 private points.

"Well, I think it's getting late. I'm heading out now, thank you." Ryugetsu said, not hearing the others confused about his identity and skills.

In the end, he had added 250,000 private points to his account.

After days had passed, once the revelation that they wouldn't get their private points, it did seem like Class 1-D, was finally taking their studies seriously. Of course, there were the occasional ones who still didn't agree with most of the class, but Ryugetsu couldn't care less.

He simply didn't need to change his habits and schedule, as he had already been scoring consistently high in his assessments.

The only thing different about these midterms was the fact that the class was going to try, meaning the average may be higher. Of course, Ryugetsu didn't care, he was fine in the subjects required and taught.

He excelled in sciences like chemistry, alongside mathematics and civics, but English and modern grammar were the only subjects that made him stumped but he wasn't worried.

He felt confident in his abilities, to study hard and get good marks as a result. He just needed to be in the middle, meaning he would have to score higher. This just became a game of prediction.

Ryugetsu just needed to focus a bit more to get stronger grades, but he didn't care. What he didn't care about was the serious cold girl and the emotionless boy creating a study group. He didn't care at once, he had never studied with others in his past.

Luckily, it seemed that being invisible had its benefits, as that was what allowed him to mostly stay away from the people's eyes. Unexpectedly, Ryugetsu felt someone was watching him making him look around and saw no one. Ryugetsu shrugged indifferently and continued his schedule.

When class started, the teacher asked the class about specific elements and transformation states, Ryugetsu had written the answers down, but no one answered.

After class was done, Ryugetsu approached the teacher and gave the correct answers to her questions, as if everyone was quiet, she wouldn't reveal it. He could see the surprised look Chabashira was giving him. She was to say something but Ryugetsu stopped her with a shh gesture to tell her to keep it a secret.

She knew of his potential in intellectual and academic abilities, but she didn't expect a student to write the answers and give them to her, without expecting anything in return, showcasing his potential willingly. Ryugetsu was truly a strange student, even when he was the only one excluded from an invite to this study group.

Regardless, she was intrigued to see how this class would do with the midterms in general, considering what was at stake. But even then, Ryugetsu was an interesting student in her eyes. This whole class was interesting.

Yet again, he ate alone outside, enjoying the environment, and reading books in the library so he enjoy his life in peace.

After finishing afternoon classes and lectures, he went to his martial arts club, which he reluctantly joined. Ever since the room became an official club, Ryugetsu had been sparring more with the others wanting to know the mysterious student.

Ryugetsu was so far the only student who had not officially lost a sparring match. While he did tie, or win. He would rarely win by knockout, something only he could do. Perhaps it was because Ryugetsu was the only one known to strike the sensitive parts of the human body or that sparring should be taken as an actual fight, something he emphasized when he fought and was brutal to all his opponents.

He showed no regrets or hesitation in his actions. This sparring match was the most difficult and formidable he had done.

The opponent he had emphasized in judo, which was a martial arts Ryugetsu found himself getting increasingly interested in.

As a result, blocking most of his opponents' attacks was difficult, as grabbing them would have a devastating effect on Ryugetsu.

What helped him, instead was the fact that his overall attacks were relatively easy to predict. His kicks were somewhat strong, but not as strong as Ryugetsu's. While leaping to perform a hook kick, Ryugetsu was struck unexpectedly by a punch to his abdomen. Ryugetsu shows no reaction and sweeps the dust out of his abdomen.

The airborne taekwondo fighter grunted, still going through with his attack, striking his opponent in the shoulder blade, before he landed, taking a breather from the punch. Ryugetsu can punch and use his different kung-fu but he didn't want to draw attention in the dojo. He eventually realized that his fist was more akin to a knife-like motion, which explained why that blow hurt. Quickly dodging a follow-up blow, he kicked the hang away before twisting his body to kick him behind, which struck his target.

Ryugetsu's opponent tapped out afterward, which gave Ryugetsu the win. He took a sigh of relief.

He certainly will have to ask the opponent for his advice about Karate and Judo considering Ryugetsu lacks the power and the speed to punch forward, throwing opponents, rather than defending himself. Speaking of those in the club, Kamiya had not joined the club recently, probably to focus on midterms, and joining the ice girl's study group.

Unknown to Ryugetsu, the same girl on the upper platform observed the whole fight scene but mostly observed Ryugetsu with interest. She shows a sadistic grin and she even licks her lips.

After Ryugetsu finished martial arts, he passed the library, seeing the majority of Class 1-D showing up, much to his relief. He did not have to worry about her clinging to him, something made obvious when he saw her among the group. He made his way past the library and toward his dorm, not caring about what they were thinking or doing. He could study on his own, and get the marks he deserved based on his studying habits.

Sitting down at his work desk, he worked until he began falling asleep on his desk. He had never really dreamed before, compared to average people. He was somewhat taught not to, as it could impact his function. As a result, he rarely has dreams these days. He just went blank.

Waking up early and heading to his bed, he hoped the rest of his day tomorrow would be as uneventful as the coming days.

Unfortunately, he would wake up to some drama straight out of the bat. He decided to walk and get a drink with the private points he saved up. Thankfully, he was smart in saving his private points, so he was able to at least buy some stuff. Considering he didn't eat dinner and instead plopped to get extra sleep, he needed something to fill him up. He figured a simple vending machine treat with an additional drink would be nice to help him get focused on the upcoming class material he would probably need to know for the midterm.

The next day, Ryugetsu walked into the room and took a complete corner of the class. Once again, Chabashira looked at him, expecting his early arrival these days.

She sighed, clearly upset that the antisocial loner had yet to improve in his ability to speak to others, she felt somewhat sad regarding his state in the classroom. Even the fact that none of the students in this class knew his name, was saddening enough, and she had done nothing to stop that.

She sighed, feeling she needed to do something regarding his state in social life. However, hearing he was in the martial arts club did make her feel somewhat hopeful.

In particular, when another student entered, her eyes went straight to the loner, and this intrigued Chabashira somewhat.

"Hey," Kamiya exclaimed to Ryugetsu, who yet again ignored her.

Already this was weird, to Chabashira. She had observed Kamiya multiple times, and she was always portrayed as a somewhat bubbly girl who got along decently well with everyone but also kept her distance. Kind of like a less energetic one.

However, with Ryugetsu, she seemed unusually more reserved, more passionate, and more serious when around him. It was a wild difference from how she acted outside of the instance. Perhaps she was more natural around him. Did being around him make her feel more real with herself?

And what shocked Chabashira more, was the fact that Ryugetsu responded, "Yes?"

Kamiya sighed, "I wanted to apologize for not attending martial arts club recently, this girl created a study group for the class to do better on the upcoming midterms."

Ryugetsu nodded, "I understand, I'll let the others know."

This confused Kamiya, "Wait, you're not attending it? The study group? Even if you knew they were going on?"

When Ryugetsu nodded his head, Kamiya gasped, "But if we don't do well, you run the risk of expulsion!"

Her passionate self was again taking Chabashira off guard, as she watched the conversation. It was more Kamiya talking while Ryugetsu answered in the simplest of terms.

Ryugetsu answered, "Simple, I was never invited to join."

This seemed to shock Kamiya, "What? I must tell Horikita to invite you."

"Don't bother," Ryugetsu replied, getting up, "I'm fine without a study group, I can study on my own. Also, joining the study group makes me feel like an outsider."

Chabashira sighed, she expected that from the loner. To reject the chance of being within a group. He always left as soon as he could to avoid interacting with others. But the question was, why? Why was Ryugetsu so hesitant and cold towards others? Chabashira thought. Why did Ryugetsu manage to get excluded from many class-related ventures? Even in his martial arts club, she could only assume that he was somewhat alone during his hobbies.

Chabashira only watched as Ryugetsu told Kamiya not to ask Horikita, instead insisting he did these things alone.

Chabashira thought, she was the homeroom teacher and thus could maybe pull some strings. Since he's smart, she could make him tutor someone. Or maybe a group project. She didn't know, but for now, she was just going to observe the stuff happening right now.

As she expected, while the other students were interacting and discussing various topics, Ryugetsu was yet again quiet and studying.

Still, at least he was now talking to someone, even if it was someone for now. Progress was progress, she thought and perhaps he will fix that defect of his.

Little did she know, however, that was only a part of the many he may have. While one would be happy for a student focusing on his studies, Chabashira was concerned for his social life. It was very bad.

Realizing she had a class to start, she sighed, getting the class started.

Once again, he was quiet, calculated, and hard-working. The exact qualities that perhaps could've gotten in Class 1-A, if only his communication and social skills were better, then perhaps he wouldn't even be in this class.

As she continued through her lessons, she could see the difference in how the class learned. Some didn't even try, others were listening but not taking notes, while a few took in what they were doing. Ryugetsu was among the last of the groups, and in the mock test she gave the class, he scored average precisely again.

It was clear his academic prowess was very good.

Ryugetsu did not care, he remained stoic and composed, as he took down his notes. To him, the day seemed the same. Nothing would change, and he would just get through the school year, and move with his life.

When he did try to leave for lunch, Kamiya stopped him, trying to convince him to join the study group. Once again, he retained his stance, not caring for the sad look Kamiya was giving him. Whatever people said about "puppy eyes" and the like, it was a clear mask. It was not as bad as people made it out to be.

He noticed the angry look the teal ponytail girl was giving him but ignored it.

Heading out to get some lunch, Kamiya would not give up, continuing to pressure and ask Ryugetsu to join the study group. It's not even that he did not want to socialize, but rather he was fine on his own. He didn't mean to brag but he felt confident in his abilities and thus did not seem willing to join.

Thankfully, Kamiya eventually conceded and left the loner alone, as Ryugetsu merely went about as if his day was the same. Gathering some food and drinking water, he made his way back and found a nice place to eat outside. But, he feels like someone is watching him when he tries to enjoy his life eating his lunch in peace. Ryugetsu looked around with a stoic expression to see any student spying on him.

So, to circumvent the chances he meets them, he merely chooses to walk back into the classroom, avoiding others to the best of his ability. Sitting back in the classroom, he quietly ate his lunch as he observed some others, whether it was interacting with others, or if they were in a group eating.

Slowly, he began to work while he could. He may be a loner, and perhaps a creep to some, but he would always be into his books.

Once class was finally over, he went over to his martial arts routine. At this rate, his casual schedule, but that was what he wanted. A schedule he could repeat over and over. If he were to forget to do something within his schedule, then it would be difficult to repeat it. And therefore, he stuck to this schedule. The days when it was a weekend were different as there was no school.

It was a shame the overall midterms were at the end of this week, meaning there was only a day to study for the midterms. He did feel better about it, he did also think about the others but why should he? He stopped caring for people ever since he was betrayed. All he cared about was his own life, and that was his goal.

Making his way to his martial arts room, to his mild surprise, it was empty. Perhaps since midterms were very soon, he digressed.

'There's no one here what a pain but at least I have my alone time.' Ryugetsu thought stoically.

Still, this gave him much-needed alone time to practice his techniques and even try new ones specifically Judo and Karate techniques. Polishing his knife hands, he struck the punching bag.

However, this was perhaps the main reason why he rarely punched with his hands, he can do Jeet Kune Do techniques but the fist isn't as strong.

He would punch so hard, that his knuckles would start bleeding. Sighing, he gathered some hand wraps to protect his knuckles from the impact of the harsh texture of the punching bag. After finishing his karate and judo techniques, he continues practicing Wing Chun for better self-defense.

Sighing in relief when he finished, he realized it was late. Grunting in annoyance at how his day was messed up slightly, he made his way out.

Gathering his supplies and bag, he made his way to his dorm. However, he felt someone was watching him and turned his head behind him but no one was there. Ryugetsu shrugged it off thinking that it was just a cat. He was about to move forward when he heard a metal pipe being dropped making Ryugetsu look in the direction of the noise with a suspicious glare.

Ryugetsu walked in the direction of the noise cautiously and slowly went near the wall to prevent it from being seen. As Ryugetsu moved slowly to the back of the dojo, he quickly went to the end to find the stalker but to disappointment, there was no one there. Ryugetsu looked around his surroundings to see any noise or presence of the stalker. Sighing, he made his way to his dorm.

Ryugetsu was not in a good mood from the incident of being stalked. He did not need that in the come-up to the midterms. Hoping he would finally be able to get into his dorm, he was yet again met with another confrontation, that he wished he could ignore.

The sound of commotion was evident, and Ryugetsu noticed two boys fighting.

He could see the emotionless boy defending himself from what appeared to be an older boy. He also noticed the ice girl, her usual serious face instead of a more frightened tone. It was strange seeing the usual serious girl terrified, but he digressed, instead watching the fight go on.

Seeing two others fight somewhat intrigues him because he is spared a lot and loves fighting.

Despite being in the pitch black of night, he was able to see the figure move well. Probably because his eye reflected a lot of light, even the smallest he could get. He didn't care for the commotion that was happening, nor the conversation the older boy was having with the emotionless boy. All he cares about is going to his room.

He could recognize these two as being in the same class as he is. Regardless, he realized the older boy and the ice girl looked familiar. Are they siblings or relatives?

Eventually, the older boy left, the two looking at each other. The older boy seemed to be staring down Ryugetsu, observing him, and confused at his overall appearance. What made this interesting, was the fact that Ryugetsu was still wearing his martial art uniform, which was white in the night.

"Who is doing club activities the day before midterms..." The older person said before leaving.

Before he knew it, he had the emotionless boy and the ice girl yet again staring at him. It was clear he could be seen due to his white martial arts uniform, however, Ryugetsu stood his ground, ignoring the strange look by the two students. He knew the two well, because of Kamiya and himself. In addition to them being in the same class. They're Horikita and Ayanokoji. He had heard of the two quite a bit, and according to his surroundings had developed a reputation, so they sort of led Class 1-D.

Sighing, he merely walks past them, pacing himself for any possible aggression from either of them, verbally or physically. He certainly was anticipating it. So it was somewhat surprising to him when he received none. He was just allowed to go like that. He sighed, at least he was finally able to rest for the upcoming midterms.

'That's a close one, encountering Horikita and Ayanokoji is not what I expected in my cover but somehow they didn't say anything, good for the reputation of my invisibility.' Ryugetsu thought.

Arriving at his dorm, He didn't get to study but he could do some last minute if he got to class early. It was somewhat weird that the midterm day occurred on Thursday, but he digressed. At least, he can enjoy his weekend off afterward.

Heading to bed, all he thought about were the strange interactions he had with those people. He once again hoped they would keep seeing each other. He doesn't need to lose his invisibility status.

Eventually, midterms were starting. Unfortunately, they were starting with Ryugetsu's two main struggles in terms of subject: English and grammar. He did not enjoy these subjects, but at least he had to learn them, as he was bored. When someone is bored, they desperately will do anything to get rid of it.

The next was his strongest point: Chemistry. He was strong in science, and Chemistry was a small subsection of the field.

Civics was alright for Ryugetsu, he understood them well.

And finally, Mathematics would be an ok end for Ryugetsu. It was clear that he would end strong, he just needed to get through the first two.

Eventually, he got through the first two, which he felt like he struggled with, before pushing through chemistry, civics, and mathematics. He finished first for the last three, and somewhat in the middle for the first two. Of course, he didn't care how he did it nor were any of these midterms difficult. He knew how he did it, purposely getting the easy question wrong, and the hard question right. He knew the class would aim higher to assist in the weekly points, but he also had to make sure none of the students got expelled.

Heading over to the martial arts room, he was met with celebration from those in the club, who said today wasn't the day for practice but for celebration. Ryugetsu groaned, not wanting to celebrate but train and practice his techniques and others. To say the celebration came as a surprise, Ryugetsu decided to leave early.

With nothing else to do, he didn't know what to do. He couldn't study anything new, but he didn't want to sleep. As a result, he went walking around aimlessly, not knowing what to do.

Eventually, he found himself in the library, looking at the book to read. He read quite a number back in his early life to escape reality so perhaps now he could start on a new series. He never understood why many English professors chose such boring books for the class to read.

He found a drama and adventure-filled book, and he was about to head his way to rent a book when he stopped. Ryugetsu sensed someone was staring and realized a boy was staring him down.

It wasn't just any boy. It was the boy from yesterday, the emotionless one.

Ryugetsu and Ayanokoji shared a glare for a few minutes, Ryugetsu sighed, not caring for a moment, and went past Ayanokoji.

"You didn't eavesdrop on anything about what happened last night, right?" Ayanokoji asked, more interrogating for answers.

Ryugetsu sighed, "Whatever happens between you and that girl is your business. I don't pry into people's lives, as I don't want to do the same happen to me."

With that, he left Ayanokoji pondering the mystery: wait, what was his name?

Ryugetsu got to his room and began reading his book. He hadn't realized how late it got until he got tired.

The next thing he knew was that he fell asleep.

When he woke up, he realized he woke up somewhat late, and that he may be late. Thankfully, seats were assigned so it didn't matter.

He ended up being only three minutes early. Wasn't bad, so he wouldn't be seen if he was late, but many were already in class.

Kamiya noticed Ryugetsu just joining the classroom. Sitting down, she almost yelled.

"You're much later than you usually were, I thought you weren't coming today?!" Kamiya silently yelled somehow, and Ryugetsu sighed.

"I just stayed up late reading a book," Ryugetsu stated, which made Kamiya interested.

"Oh wow, it must be a good look if you stayed up late to read it," Kamiya commented and Ryugetsu nodded, before seeing the teacher enter. The teacher seemed somewhat intrigued by a mix of expectations.

Eventually, she began to talk about the class average, and how each student performed.

Looking at the leaderboard, he noticed his markings and everyone else's markings. Most of the students were celebrating their achievement, they all thanked the beige-haired girl for helping him pass the test.

Daisuke Ryugetsu: Midterm Results

English: 70

Modern Grammer: 70

Chemistry: 80

Civics: 75

Mathematics: 80

Average: 79

Surprisingly, in terms of average throughout the class, he had scored eighth lowest only. Thankfully, no one seemed to care, which made his life easier.

He looked at Kamiya for some reason and Ryugetsu nodded of improval.

Asami Kamiya: Midterm Results

English: 85

Modern Grammer: 90

Chemistry: 95

Civics: 100

Mathematics: 80

Average: 90.3

'Huh, she did better than I perform. It's like every day she's nothing but a bubbly girl with a bad ego. It turns out she's smarter than the rest of us in my opinion.' Ryugetsu thought.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" Kamiya asked, and Ryugetsu sighed.

"Yeah, what is it?" Ryugetsu responded indifferently.

"Uh, I just want to be honest, how did you do it exactly?" Kamiya asked curiosity.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Ryugetsu continued playing dumb.

"Don't play dumb, I can tell you by the look at your eyes, that you did something." Kamiya pouted as she continued to glare at Ryugetsu seriously. Ryugetsu shared a glare with Kamiya.

(3 Days before the test)

Near the Tennis Courtyard, Ryugetsu was heading toward the library and planned on returning the rented book he just finished reading and checking out the new book to read. He was about to go in the direction of the library when he heard the commotion near the tennis courtyard. Ryugetsu decided to investigate what was happening. He hid behind the back of the building and took a peek. What he saw was the delinquent in Class 1-D that Ryugetsu knew confronted by three class 1-C students.

The left side has dark green hair and dark green eyes. He is wearing a school uniform but it's quite different. He wears the red vest but it's unbuttoned, green slacks, no tie, magenta shoes, and a purple shirt under his red vest.

The center appeared to be a young man of average height with shoulder-length magenta hair that was styled on either side and sharp magenta-colored eyes that struck fear and trepidation onto anyone he came into contact with. In addition, he has a slim and muscular physique. his attire consists of a standard red jacket and an unbuttoned black shirt underneath without a tie.

The right side has black buzz-cut hair on the side and black eyes. He wears a school uniform but it's unbuttoned.

"What do you think you're in some kind of gangster movie with that thug act."

"Man, you ugly inside and out, you pathetic loser."

That compliment makes the hot-headed delinquent pissed off. He was about to charge in the attack but the two Class 1-C students wind up against Ken Sudō to stop him from inflicting an offensive attack on the center student. The two Class 1-C forced the hot-headed delinquent to go down to his knees as the magenta-haired student walked towards them.

"I can't wait to see how many Class D idiots get expelled after they fail the next test. I bet I know who will be first."

The magenta-haired student pointed his finger to Ken Sudō's eyeballs but then he poked his forehead instead. It was a moment of silence until the hot-headed delinquent broke the silence.

"I hope you've said your prayers." the hot-headed delinquent stated and started charging toward him with force.

"Alright, that's enough!" said a female student which stopped the whole commotion between them.

The person who stopped is described as a young teenage girl, who is esteemed to be one of the most alluring and attractive students in high school by her peers and seniors. She has back-length strawberry-blonde hair and blue eyes.

She happened to be often seen wearing the school's standard uniform with a buttoned crimson blazer which is also connected to and covering most of her white blouse. Within the center of her formal attire, she sometimes uses either a dark red or blue ribbon tie. In addition to that, Honami has on a short-length white sailor striped pleated skirt that all girls from her high school typically wear. More so, she put on black mid-calf socks that are below the skirt.

"What? Who Are You?! Keep your damn nose out of it!" the hot-headed delinquent yelled.

"As one of your fellow students, I cannot allow violence to be perpetrated on this campus. Understand? If you all insist on continuing to fight anyway, I'm going to have to call security." The female student stated.

"Look, Ichinose, there isn't even a fight to continue. Sudo's victimizing us." the magenta-haired student said.

"Is that so? Well, from where I'm standing, you certainly don't look like victims to me, Ryūen. And if you don't cut it out, I'm going to report every one of you to the administration." Ichinose warned suspiciously.

After hearing a warning from Ichinose, the magenta-haired student decided to let it slide and walk out.

"Ha, hey monkey" Ryūen insulted, offending the hot-headed delinquent.

"You son of a ..."

"I think you're going to make a mighty fine plaything." the magenta-haired student commented as he and his gang walked out.

Ryugetsu glared at the whole commotion a bit and lay his back against the wall as he closed his eyes for a moment to think. After a few minutes of thinking, he opened his eyes and saw the hot-headed delinquent heading to the gym for basketball

Ryugetsu glanced at the hot-headed delinquent and sighed as he had better things to do.

'That hot-headed student is going to fail someday.' Ryugetsu thought as he headed to the library.

(2 days before the test)

Ryugetsu is at the cafeteria looking at his phone with his 350,000 private points and he starts to do some thinking to find ways to prevent anyone from Class 1-D from getting expelled. Ryugetsu sighed knowing his time of action was starting so he stood up and walked to the counter.

Ryugetsu quickly looked at the person at the counter and followed him. He saw a loner upperclassman sitting on a blank table row.

'Looks like it's time for a plan of action.' Ryugetsu thought and headed to the loner upperclassman.

"Excuse me. Are you an upperclassman?" Ryugetsu asked calmly.

"Huh?" making the upperclassman look at Ryugetsu

"I'm Daisuke Ryugetsu from Class 1-D. You're in the D class for your grade 2, aren't you?" Ryugetsu asked calmly.

"Well, yeah"

Ryugetsu looked at the upperclassman tray and he could tell the upperclassman bought a free meal.

"The free food selection is pretty abysmal, isn't it?" Ryugetsu asked. The upperclassman is not a fan of interacting with anyone.

"What do you want from me?"

"I wanna consult with you about something. Don't worry, I will make it worth your while." Ryugetsu answered stoically.

"About what?"

"Do you still have any of your class's midterm questions from two years ago?" Ryugetsu asked making the upperclassman confused.

"Huh?"

"I want you to hand them over to me," Ryugetsu demanded.

"Ugh. Why are you asking me and not the other upperclassmen?"

"Is it that hard to see? People like you who are short on class points are way more likely to see the benefit of striking a deal with us. And don't think I didn't notice how hard you were struggling to eat that wild vegetable lunch combo. That seems sad don't you think." Ryugetsu said calmly.

The upperclassman looked at the plate knowing that Ryugetsu was right and he glared at him.

"How much will you pay?"

"Ten thousand points. It's as high as I'll go" Ryugetsu offered which made the upperclassman surprised by how low the private points Ryugetsu offered.

"I'd be taking a big risk here, too. I would need 30,000, at the very least."

"I'm afraid that won't work. Sorry to disappoint," said Ryugetsu.

"You can forget making a deal with me, then." said the upperclassman angrily as he was about to leave for the different blank table.

"Alright if that's what you wanted, who am I to go against you? But, if it changes your mind, I will give you a bonus private point for your hard work." Ryugetsu stated making the upperclassman stop in his tracks after he heard about the bonus private points.

"A bonus point?"

"Yes, a bonus point, if you accept a deal of 10,000 points I will give you 40,000, for example, nothing more nothing less all add up to 50,000. You decide the deal or not is up to you." Ryugetsu explained.

The upperclassman has a lot of thinking in his mind about what Ryugetsu offered him so the upperclassman changed his mind and decided to ask for more private points.

"Twenty-five."

"Ten thousand."

"Twenty thousand."

"Ten thousand, that's it."

The upperclassman hesitated for a moment and started to speak his final decision.

"Fifteen thousand. I can't possibly go any lower." The upperclassman hesitated.

Ryugetsu nodded his head in approval knowing that he had met his deal.

"I can live with that. You've got a deal. That is if you include your quizzes from the first term as a bonus and give you 35,000 bonus private points for your hard work." Ryugetsu accepted.

"Okay." the upperclassman said defeated.

Outside, Ryugetsu was eating a rice cake waiting for a notification to respond. After waiting for a few minutes, Ryugetsu received a message notification from the upperclassman.

'Huh, looks like he started with a quiz.' Ryugetsu thought.

Ryugetsu reached into his pocket and pulled out a paper. He started looking at the image of the quiz and the paper that Ryugetsu had just written knowing that the midterm test and quizzes were the same as the paper he wrote down.

'It's the same. Identical down to the letter. It'll probably be the same as last year's too.' Ryugetsu thought. 'This means that every year and last year are the same questions from chemistry, English, modern grammar, civics, and mathematics. This will be interesting.'

(A day before the test)

In Class 1-D, Ryugetsu was sitting at his desk listening to music as he was studying his notes for the upcoming midterm. He saw the door open and the one coming out was none other than Kushida holding a stack of papers which Ryugetsu knows what Kushida was holding.

"Hang on, everyone. There's something I want you to have before you leave for the day." Kushida announced as she passed to her classmate.

Everyone started passing it down to the back and all of the students started to look at the paper Kushida gave to them.

"What test questions? Did you make these up or something?"

"Actually, they're questions that were in the midterm a couple years ago. I got them last night from one of the third-years." Kushida answered.

All of the students looked shocked when they

"Seriously?" said Ike surprisingly, to which Kushida nodded.

"Mm-hmm. He told me that the tests have been pretty much identical for the last couple of years. So I bet they'll be helpful in studying for tomorrow's test too!" Kushida answered.

Some of the students were happy about this and knew that they were going to succeed in their midterm tests. Ryugetsu, on the other hand, didn't care much but at least that no one is going to get expelled.

'Huh, this tells me that someone has the same tactics as I do. Beating me right to the

Unexpectedly, Kushida walked in front of everyone making Ryugetsu look at Kushida with a stoic expression. He felt there was something different about Kushida but he didn't want to point fingers about why.

"Hey, uh, even though I don't get your name, I want you to have one too," said Kushida offering a paper to Ryugetsu.

Ryugetsu glared at the paper for one minute. He sighed and decided to accept her offer. He looked at the paper and gave Kushida a nod which made her happy as she continued to pass the midterm questions to her classmate.

'As expected, all the questions from the midterms are the same down to the letter, just as I planned.' Ryugetsu thought.

(Test Result Announcement Day)

All of the students surrounding her thanked Kushida for her help.

"To be honest, why don't you thank Kushida for giving you the midterm test instead of thinking about me," Ryugetsu stated indifferently as he rested his head with his fist.

"That's an insult, you know it, and besides, I know you did something." Kamiya pouted.

"Like I said, I don't know what you talking about," Ryugetsu stated indifferently.

"I must say, I'm impressed with you. I never imagined you'd be able to bring your scores up so much on this exam. I acknowledge that you must have put in the effort. However..." Chabashira stated as she headed to the board and drew the line under the student.

The student who's under the line is the hot-headed delinquent, Ken Sudo.

"...Sudō got a failing grade. Too bad." Chabashira said sarcastically making Sudo confused.

"What? You've got to be kidding! How could I possibly fail?" Sudo exclaimed in disbelief.

"The threshold for failure on the midterm exam was 40 points. The average class test score was 79.6. When I divide that by two, then round up to 40 points, I get the minimum score needed to pass." Chabashira lectured as she wrote that 79.6 divided by 2 equals 39.8.

"By less than a point?" Sudo exclaimed in shock.

"We only knew each other for a short time, and I know you tried. Your expulsion notice will be issued after class anyway."

"So that's it. I'm getting expelled." Sudo mumbled like he was empty inside but Hirata stood up his chair.

"Wait, Miss Chabashira! Is there anything we can do to save him?" Hirata asked.

"A failing score is a failing score," Chabashira answered sarcastically making Kushida stand up from her chair as well.

"Are you sure that's the final word? We just can't let Sudō get kicked out like this. It doesn't seem right." said Kushida feeling saddened.

"Rules exist for a reason. Just get over it." Chabashira said coldly.

Most students were disheartened by what they just heard.

"Homeroom is over for today. Sudō, I'll be waiting for you in the faculty office after school." Chabashira stated as she walked to the door and closed it behind. Kushida turned to her classmates.

"Well, are we just gonna let them do this? It's terrible. Sudō was going to be expelled." Kushida begged but everyone just stayed seated and didn't want to get involved. Ryugetsu looked at the whole classroom and sighed knowing it was pointless.

Sighing in relief, he felt a lot of stress escape him once he knew about the midterm score. Well, more than his prediction for his mark was right.

However, as he heard about Sudo getting expulsion and others defending him, he felt somewhat weird as if he felt bad, did he pity him? Perhaps, but did he want to help him? Why? He doesn't know him. He shouldn't be caring for those around him, yet he was considering helping someone in his class he hadn't even talked to.

Why should he help him? He doesn't know.

And so, he walked off trying his best not to care. Getting his lunch, he was about to head back to class, after having a long lunch, when he heard something.

"I thought that you people might keep me on my toes. Very well then. I'll sell you Sudō's test point. You can tell him you saved him. He won't be expelled after all." Ryugetsu could hear the voice of his teacher, Chabashira.

"Are you sure about this?" The boy's voice can be heard.

"You made your case and I agreed. I couldn't refuse now. Just so you're aware, never in this school's history has a D Class managed to advance. Do you think you'll be the first?" Chabashira asked after she smoked her cigar.

"I can't speak for him, but I will ascend to a higher class." Another girl's voice can be heard. He looked out and once again saw those two: emotionless boy and ice girl standing, seeming to make a deal with Chabashira to save Sudo from expulsion.

"Is that so? And how did defective such as yourselves plan to achieve such a goal?" Chabashira asked curiously.

"From what I've seen, defectives can sometimes be fixed with only the slightest of alterations, at least in my experience," Horikita answered.

"I can't wait to see how that turns out. As your teacher, I sincerely hope that you'll succeed." Chabashira stated.

Ryugetsu merely scoffed, 'Why help those who never help you?'

And so, he made his way to his class, before lying down.

"Spending more points to save one student from expulsion..." Ryugetsu mumbled to himself. He looked at his phone and saw the amount he had. Because of betting over chess, he was rewarded 250,000 private points. This means he technically had bonus private points. Further compounded by his ability to spend them when needed. As a result, whilst some had between 0-100,000, Ryugetsu somehow had 349,000 but dropped to 299,000 because of the offer to the upperclassmen for the midterm test and quizzes.

Now, what made this weird was the fact that it was supposed to theoretically cap at 100,000. However, since he joined later but was enrolled, and his class was decided before he began moving, he was rewarded like every other student. Meaning, that he had to get rid of these amounts, or he wouldn't get rewarded with the others. He had over the limit of private points and it's not like it was a benefit whatsoever. Any private points gains he could get afterward would be rendered useless due to the fact he was far past the cap.

Once again, his mind was working in two ways. On the one side, he yet again reiterated he owed this person nothing. However, he also wanted to help for some reason. Was it his deep desire of wanting to have friends or to be a good person, after years of torment of being called a murderer, he just didn't know the answer.

As a result, when everyone left, Ryugetsu noticed Ayanokoji and Horikita both looking at their digital phones, cringing from the loss they took to save Ken Sudo from expulsion.

Why should he help those two, both he never talked to?

He was not going to help them, he told himself. However, later that afternoon, he fell back on his mind. Something telling him to help. He sighed, at least he wouldn't be affected by this...

Approaching Chabashira after class, where everyone was gone, her face seemed shocked after Ryugetsu placed his digital phone in front of her.

"Is there something you need?" She asked, and Ryugetsu nodded.

"Did those two students spend their private points to prevent Sudo from expulsion?" Ryugetsu asked, which Chabashira flinched.

"How did you find out?" She asked, somewhat surprised that a student from her class found out she was doing, something she shouldn't be. Especially someone like him.

"It doesn't matter, I would like to offer you 100,000 private points to make up his expulsion" Ryugetsu stated.

Chabashira rolled her eyes, "Silly boy, the points have already been transferred."

"That's a point," Ryugetsu replied, which made Chabashira look at him seriously. "I'm giving you the 100,000 private points to evenly give 50,000 to both students who evenly split it."

Chabashira looked shocked, "You don't possibly have enough points to give 100,000 private points."

"Take a look at the digital phone." To Chabashira's shock, there were around 299,000 private points on his digital phone.

"How..." was all she asked.

"Don't know, Don't care. I also wanted to know myself and for some reason, it stacked up. As a result, I have this amount of private points."

Chabashira looked at the phone, "There's no way, how did you...-"

"Accept it, either take the 100,000 and I can walk away with my 199,000 or I can walk away with my 299,000 points. Your choice." Ryugetsu stated in a more serious, colder tone, giving the terms of the deal.

Chabashira looked at the serious expression Ryugetsu displayed before sighing.

"Very well, I will spit your 100,000 into two and give them to Ayanokoji and Horikita," Chabashira stated.

Ryugetsu nodded, watching as he was deducted 100,000 points, which didn't impact him as much as the others, before walking away.

"I told those two this, but you may seriously have a chance at making it to Class A..." Ryugetsu heard Chabashira comment, to which Ryugetsu stopped.

"That will be my greatest dream of all time but I prefer to live my life peacefully and do what I think is right. If anyone asks, keep my name out of the behind-the-scenes. I don't want any attention." Ryugetsu said before leaving.

As Ryugetsu walked, looking at his 199,000 points, all he could ask was: why?

Why did he sacrifice a piece of himself, for three people? He didn't want notoriety, but he was being nice.

He didn't know Sudo, an emotionless boy, or ice girl, yet he helped them. Why did he? He shouldn't be caring about them. He should be focusing on himself. Was it because he wouldn't get hurt by his sacrifice? Was it because he secretly wanted to have connections or just to be a nice person wanting to make up for his previous actions?

It became quite a nuisance, as he entered the martial arts room late, which Kamiya noticed but didn't comment. Ryugetsu was now confused about his action and had yet to figure out a definite answer.

All the while, Chabashira was out, still smoking, wondering and intrigued about that boy. He had yet again, in the midterms, scored a perfect score distribution. Like his entrance exams, his English and modern grammar were -3 of the average he got, civics was average, and mathematics and chemistry were +3 average. He had yet again gotten a precise spread chart of his results.

And so, Ryugetsu was the second boy of interest she had begun to look at more carefully. Like the other one, he also seemed to hide his potential.

Ryugetsu is heading to his dorm after the long practice of his marital arts. As you can tell, Ryugetsu is beat.

Ryugetsu started to yawn out of tiredness after he got out of the elevator. He was at his door, he reached into his pocket to get his key card and successfully access his dorm. He was about to get in but he stopped in his tracks. He looked over to his right and saw a shadow figure peeking its head out until it saw Ryugetsu looking at them. When Ryugetsu saw them, they started to run.

Ryugetsu felt like someone was stalking him and he doesn't like people who get his attention or being stalked.

'Why do I feel like someone is stalking me.' Ryugetsu thought but he shrugged and went back to his dorm.

Ryugetsu got to his room and began reading his book. He was enjoying his time reading his book when he heard someone was having a good party. He didn't care about all the commotion to his left, but he felt like someone was watching him and everywhere he went, someone could follow him around, making Ryugetsu sicken his stomach. He will someday find the perpetrator and take down the stalker even if he will take down the stalker by force.
