Chapter 5: The beginning of the journey

A Arceus: AllAPokemon I would like to remind all that dad will start his journey tomorrow. As you all know that dad was given permission to carry twelve pokemon at the time and it been decided that dad will leave six slot open for new Pokemon he will catch and train on his new journey while the other six slot will be save for us here.

A Arceus: After discussion with dad we decided one slot will save for me and my siblings who will take turn on staying with dad for his safety with how he seen to attract trouble to him. The remaining five slot will save for any dad pokemon including us if they wish to visit dad and travel with him for a bit.

A Arceus: But please do tell dad first if any of you plan to visit him or spend time with him. Don't repeat the same thing I did when I once visit dad one day without noticed him which end up scaring Professor Oak and end up give him more grayhair.

A Arceus: If there anyone wish to visit dad or travel with him just dm me or Palkia, Dialga and Giratina, and that is all for today.

When the next day arrive, Ash exited to get his new starter from Professor Oak, however instead of getting the Kanto starter he ask for a different pokemon instead since he want to try something new pokemon as starter. Not to mention two more new trainer will too start their journey with Gary today so he feel bad for making them lose their chance.

Ash: You really don't have any other Pokemon Professor Oak?

Oak: I afraid not Ash. You sure you don't want to just choose one here?

Ash: It alright Professor Oak. I want to try a different starter for experience.

Ash: Since there not other Pokemon available, I guess I just—-

Ash: Hmm?

Oak: What wrong Ash?

Ash: Oh it nothing. Just one of my pokemon ask me to bring him here now.

Oak watch as Ash press few time on his Arc Rotom phone and soon a pokemon arrival in his hand as Ash release the Pokemon inside. It was then revealed to be a pikachu but however he also wearing a hat that coincidentally similar to the one Ash currently wearing.

To Professor Oak this is just a normal pikachu wearing a hat, but to Ash however this is a special pikachu that was give by his friends Kei back when he was still a gamer dreamer. Have been told that this pikachu was belong to a special trainer before and was given as a gift during an event where every dreamer can get one. It was before Red was created so he didn't get it but was given one by his friends.

But it been a while since Ash saw him while he is get along with pikachu but however after Red become Ash, Pikachu has been avoiding him for some reason and said that he been busy so Ash didn't press him for details. So it why it a surprise that pikachu ask for bring him to his side.

Pikachu look around the surrounding area before look at Ash as he crouched down in front of pikachu.

Ash: Hey Pikachu! What with the sudden visit?

Pikachu: …..Let me be your starter Ash.

Ash: Wait what?

Oak: What did your pikachu say?

Ash: He said that he want to be my starter here. Is that alright Professor Oak?

Oak: Well this is a surprise but at least it solves the problem to give you a starter. If you alright with your pikachu as your starter.

Ash: Im fine with it! Let have a great adventure Pikachu!

Ash hold out his hand to Pikachu who hesitate a bit before quickly dismiss it and climb up to Ash shoulder with a smile.

Pikachu: Definitely!

Oak: Well now that solved the problem. Here your Pokedex and six pokeball. I know you already have your phone as your Pokedex but at the current time it not possible to register it as your Trainer ID yet so keep this one for now.

Ash: Thanks Professor Oak!

When they leave Professor Oak lab and walk toward Route 1 outside of Pallet Town, Ash noticed Pikachu have been looking around the town on the way but didn't ask and pretend to not know. Soon they reach Route 1 as Ash let out his Pokemon that is decided to join him on the start of his journey for now. The pokemon that are keeping Ash company today is his Suicune and Garchomp.

Ash: This is it! Finally time for another adventure! I wonder what Pokemon I will catch this time?

A Suicune: *Belly Grow*

Ash: ….

Pikachu: ….

A Garchomp: ….

A Suicune: …..

Ash: …Hehe. I guess we can have another lunch before start ok the road.

A Suicune: Sorry dad. I didn't eat anything this morning when I want to join you today in a hurry.

Ash: It fine! Still what sandwich should I make now?

A Suicune: Oh oh I want to choose!

Pikachu and Garchomp watch Ash begin to set up the picnic table with Suicune helping him.

They both quiet until they both out of Ash and Suicune ear shot before Garchomp turn to Pikachu.

A Garchomp: ….You been keeping some secret from us aren't you?

Pikachu: Whaaaaaat? What make you think so I keeping something from you all?

A Garchomp: You really bad at acting you know that? Believe it or not most of us already notice your behavior here, especially Ash Legendary Pokemon since they keep each other up to date anything that happen.

A Garchomp: Im sure even master also noticed your behavior too but didn't ask since he probably think it something personal.

Pikachu: …..

A Garchomp: Look you don't have to tell us anything about it if it something personal but just know we always be here for you, you part of our family here now Pikachu so know you can count on us.

Pikachu: …*Sigh* Fine.

Pikachu: It not just I don't feel comfortable to tell you why but also there some rule of the AU dreamer applied here so I can't say anything here even it didn't seem to effect me like you all as I remember everything.

A Garchomp: …..I guess that probably relate to why you recognize master appearance when he come home after he become an AU dreamer and also you seen to know this place so well.

Pikachu: …..You know you pretty smart for a Garchomp.

A Garchomp: I take that as a compliment and just so you know when I dress up as a detective I wasn't really for show.

Pikachu: Yeeeeaaaah….but still if you want to know I can tell you about it. Just not all of it.

A Garchomp: Are you sure Pikachu? You don't have to force yourself if you don't want.

Pikachu: It fine. It probably better to tell this to someone rather then holding it alone.

Pikachu: But first you know that Im one of the 'Gift' pokemon from one of the 'Event' from the Gamer dreamer world right?

A Garchomp: Of course.

Pikachu: The things is….we 'Gift' pokemon retain our memories of our previous trainer when we were given to the Gamer dreamer in the 'Event' and we know that we won't able to return to that life we have.

Pikachu: So before I was given to Red, your trainer actually I have a conversation with other 'me' which kinda weird believe it or not since they are me.

Pikachu: We already accepted that this was our new life while remember our previous life. So when I see Red become an AU dreamer…

A Garchomp: …Let me guess. That the form Red has taken form Ash is your previous trainer and Pallet Town is your home isn't it? That will explain your behavior.

Pikachu: …

A Garchomp: You don't have to answer me if Im right or not since the question better remain unanswered because of the rules. Still at least you know the direction we should go at least right?

Pikachu: Well…..I can point out where we should go at least but don't expect to say why and explain it.

A Garchomp: Won't even ask here and I be sure to pass on to other to ask them to never ask you for reason.

Pikachu: ….Thanks.

A Garchomp: Still is there anything you look forward in this journey?

Pikachu: Well….

Pikachu look toward Ash who is still making the sandwich with Suicune while also join by Ho-oh of this world who happen to pass by and decide to join them for lunch. After all you never say no to free meal when being offered by Ash and not to mention Ho-oh is kinda hungry.

Pikachu: …..Let just say I look forward to the reaction Ash gonna encounter.

A Garchomp: What?

Near a small lake in the forest a young girl name Misty is fishing hoping to catch a Gyarados but so far having no luck. As she continue fishing she soon heard running footsteps before look toward where the sound coming from the forest behind her.

Soon the culprit reveal themselve and she fell down from the rock she was sitting on when she saw the legendary pokemon Suicune burst out from a giant bush with a young boy riding it while another pokemon who is Pikachu happened to be holding his dear life on the young boy shoulder yet when his eyes saw Misty reaction the Pikachu laughed while still holding on the young boy.

Ash: Sorry to disturb your fishing! We be on our way!

Misty watch as the young boy shout apologize to her as they continue run forward to the next city on the river along with the sound of the Pikachu laughing sound. She continued to watch them until they are no longer can be seen while remain sitting on the ground.

Misty: …..What was that just now?

Well here another chapter and sorry it a short one but busy with work here so got no time for it. And now this chapter is out gonna pause this fanfic for a bit as I plan to write a short cross over fanfic between Persona Series and TCF (Trash of the Count's Family) so until that one is finish gonna put this one on hold but still the next chapter will be about a short chat between Misty and Brock and the three Kanto Starter react to the Ash Kanto Starter here.
