BEGIN.

this one is a bit of a doozy

The air hung heavy with anticipation, crackling with an electric charge that seemed to envelop Asuka and Shinji as their lips met.

The world faded into obscurity, leaving only the intoxicating sensation of their mouths melding together in a passionate union.

With a slow, tantalising movement, Shinji's lips parted, inviting Asuka in as his tongue gently brushed against hers. It was a dance of desire, each movement a symphony of longing and need as they explored each other's mouths with a fervent intensity.

Asuka's senses were overwhelmed by the taste of Baka-Shinji, a heady mix of sweetness and spice that sent shivers down her spine. She responded eagerly, her own tongue intertwining with his in a sensual tango, each touch sending sparks flying between them.

Their lips moved with a desperate hunger, each kiss growing deeper, more intense than the last. There was a rawness to their passion, a primal need that seemed to consume them both as they lost themselves in the heat of the moment.

With every brush, Asuka could feel his warmth mingling with hers, a heady concoction that only served to fuel their desire.

Shinji moaned, his voice thick with desire as his hands began to roam over Asuka's body, exploring every curve and contour.

His fingers traced along her spine, eliciting a shudder of pleasure from the fiery redhead. Her skin felt like silk beneath his touch, and he could barely contain himself –

Asuka arched her back, pressing her breasts against his chest as she let out a soft moan. The sensation of his hands on her body was almost too much to bear, and she couldn't help but imagine those fingers moving lower-

"Baka-Shinji..." she whispered, her breath hot against his neck as she nipped at his earlobe.

The sound of his name on her lips sent a surge of arousal through him, and he could feel his might straining against the fabric of his clothes. He wanted her, needed her, and he knew that she wanted him just as badly.

With a growl of desire, he pushed her back against the wall, pinning her with his body as his lips captured hers once again.

Now it wasn't just the physical sensation that consumed them—it was the emotional connection, the unspoken longing that flowed between them with every touch. In that moment, as they shared this intimate embrace, both Asuka and Shinji knew that they had found something truly special, something worth holding onto with all their heart…

SNAP!

Neurotransmitters surged, a symphony of electrochemical reactions igniting within her brain. It was as if a switch had been flipped, and then suddenly, Asuka's eyes widened with realization,

Despite the obvious height difference – by about three or four centimeters – it felt as if, for a fleeting moment, he had towered over her.

"What are you -" NO "what are we doing!?" the red-faced, auburn-haired tsundere yelled, trying to push him away, but he refused to yield.

"Get Of," she demanded, failing to escape the wall. Impossible, how could the great Asuka Langley Soryu be losing to the pathetic idiot Shinji.

"What do you mean?" he asked, "We always-"

Always? Hell no. What the f*** was he talking about? what the f*** was going on? There was no way she would huddle up with him in any situation, especially not like this.

"I said get of!" she yelled, her voice echoing through the empty room as she shoved him away with one final, desperate push. He tumbled to the ground, landing flat on his back.

His chest heaved as he struggled to catch his breath, his heart pounding the sound ringing in his ears like a drumbeat. He could feel the weight of Asuka's gaze, heavy with unspoken words and unresolved tension.

Whilst she stood there, breathing heavily, her chest rising and falling with the remaining effort it had taken to break free from his grasp. She was finally free from his suffocating presence.

Asuka's lips parted, but no words came out. Instead, she simply stared at Shinji, her eyes ablaze with a mixture of frustration and longing.

Something burned hot and fierce.

what the hell was going on, how did we get here - her memory was foggy, she could recall nothing of prior events and when she tried to, it slipped through her fingers, as if her mind erected a barrier of sorts, shielding her, but from what?

"Aughh." echoed Shinji's groans, the sound a discordant melody in the air

Asuka watched as he struggled to rise, his movements sluggish and uncertain. A part of her reveled in the sight – him on the ground, and her standing tall above him, like a triumphant dragon, the greatest of greats.

But as she gazed down at his sorry, sullen face, a pang of pity gnawed at her heart.

PITY - the idiot shinji, No! this fool deserves every bit of pain that comes to him

BUT -

Despite his flaws, despite his weaknesses, he was still human – still worthy of compassion. And considering what they had just done or what they were about to do…

With a resigned sigh, she began to speak, "Listen–"

Before she could finish, he abruptly, almost alarmingly, rose from the ground, a determination burning in his eyes that sent a shiver down her spine. Devoid of self-pity or self-preservation, he strode towards her, his resolve unyielding and unwavering.

But then Asuka held her hand up in an almost defiant pose, yelling, "Stop!" And miraculously, he did so.

"You may come this far but no further," she declared, drawing an imaginary line between them. "Here is where your stupidity stops."

She had anticipated him to do something foolish, but to her surprise, he simply paused, staring blankly at her as if unsure of what to do next.

Asuka seized the brief respite, gathering her thoughts before she began to speak.

But as Shinji stood there, frozen in uncertainty, a glimmer of realization flickered in his eyes. Suddenly, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small notebook, its pages filled with scribbled notes and sketches.

With a determined look, he flipped through the pages until he found what he was looking for – a hastily drawn diagram labeled "Asuka's Defenses."

When did he time to draw that? Was that notebook always there? Why didn't she see it?

Asuka watched in confusion as Shinji held up the notebook. "You see, Asuka," he began, pointing to various points on the diagram, "you may have built up these formidable defenses, but every fortress has its weak spots."

He pointed to a spot marked "Ticklish Zone" and wiggled his fingers suggestively. "And I happen to know exactly where they are."

"Don't you dare." She threatened, but he would not falter.

Before Asuka could react, Shinji darted forward, his fingers expertly finding the spot on her side that elicited the most laughter. Asuka's protests turned into surprised giggles as she squirmed, trying to evade his playful assault.

In that moment of vulnerability, Shinji closed the distance between them, wrapping his arms around her in a genuine embrace. "You can build all the walls you want, Asuka," he whispered softly, "but I'll always find a way to break through."

ENOUGH!

It was lighting fast, a kick so quick, it hit him like the doppler effect, nyoom the Formula-1 McLaren goes by and he was left unconscious.

As she stood there, laughing amidst the chaos of her tangled emotions, she couldn't help but say: "I've gone mad."

A little while later…

As Shinji stirred from the depths of unconsciousness, a writhing pain and drilling headache greeted him as he reluctantly opened his eyes. But as his vision cleared, he realized that was just Asuka looming over him.

"What... what happened?" he groaned, pushing himself upright as he struggled to make sense of his surroundings.

"I'm sorry, Mien Liebling, but you get the tsun with the dere," she remarked, her expression innocent yet tinged with mischief.

Shinji's puzzled expression morphed into bewilderment. What on earth was she talking about? And why was he sprawled out on the floor? The last thing he remembered, he had been cooking dinner, and then...

A sharp pang shot through his skull, intensifying his headache.

"Feels like I was hit by a brick," he muttered, clutching his head in discomfort.

"Actually, it was a kick," Asuka replied matter-of-factly, offering him some painkillers and water to ease his suffering.

"Thanks," he muttered, swallowing the pills with a gulp of water - silently hoping they would offer some respite from the relentless throbbing in his skull.

Asuka offered him a small nod in response, her expression softened momentarily before her usual facade of aloofness returned. "Don't mention it," she replied, her voice carrying a hint of genuine concern beneath its usual edge.

For a moment, they sat in silence, the only sound being the faint hum of the city outside as they each grappled with their own thoughts and emotions. Shinji couldn't shake the feeling of disorientation that still lingered, like pieces of a puzzle he couldn't quite piece together.

"What happened to me?" he finally ventured, breaking the silence as he turned to her, searching for answers in the depths of her turquoise eyes.

Asuka's gaze met his, her expression unreadable for a fleeting moment before she sighed, a hint of resignation in her voice. "I kicked you," she admitted bluntly, her words cutting through the tension like a knife.

Shinji blinked in surprise, his mind struggling to process the revelation. "You... kicked me?" he repeated incredulously, unable to fathom why she would resort to such drastic measures.

Asuka nodded, her gaze unwavering as she met his gaze. "You were being insufferable," she replied simply, her tone tinged with a mix of frustration and something else that Shinji couldn't quite place.

Despite the pain still throbbing in his head, Shinji couldn't help but feel a sense of clarity wash over him in that moment…but only for a moment…

"Insufferable how?" Shinji asked, his voice tinged with curiosity as he attempted to mask the pounding ache in his head.

Asuka's blush deepened as she struggled to explain. "You were tickling me and saying all sorts of embarrassing sh**," she admitted, avoiding his gaze as she spoke.

"Like?" Shinji inquired, his voice tinged with curiosity as he held the paper aloft.

"It doesn't matter, I just had to knock some sense into you," Asuka replied curtly, her tone brusque as she brushed off his question.

Shinji's expression remained blank, his thoughts swirling as he mulled over Asuka's cryptic words.

But what's this?, something in his pocket, he pulled it out and as he stared at the piece of paper clutched in his hand, he couldn't help but wonder…

Asuka immediately leapt and took it out of his hands. "you don't need this." She tore it apart and threw it in the bin.

"Why?" he asked.

"It would only have made you stupider." She replied, heading towards the direction of her room.

With a resigned sigh, Shinji decides to set aside his questions for the time being. Asuka's enigmatic behaviour only added to the confusion he felt and he knew that pressing her further would only lead to more frustration.

Instead, he turned his attention to the task at hand, determined to make amends for whatever antics he had gotten up to earlier. Despite the lingering ache in his head, he quietly, made his way to the kitchen, intending to finish preparing dinner as he had originally set out to do before the events of the evening unfolded

Meanwhile, in her room, Asuka paced back and forth, her thoughts in turmoil as she grappled with a terrifying prospect: Her feelings for Shinji might run deeper than she thought or was it that the madness of it all finally got to her? whatever the case was now, there is one certainty, one way to fix this mess, the idiot-shinji must die

In the shroud of night, Shinji's migraine morphed into a kaleidoscope of hauntingly vivid images. Memories flooded back with an intensity that seared through his consciousness: passion intertwined with pain, two diametrically opposed sensations converging into a cacophony of emotions. In that moment, amidst the tumult of his mind, Shinji began to wonder:

The next day...

Perhaps it was time to accept this cream of a nightmare dream as the new reality, the hoo-ha's were here and it would mean an involuntary immersion into this clandestine duality, exposed to prying eyes for God knows how long.

she groaned,

This would mark the demise of Asuka Langley Soryu, her reputation shattered, this was the unraveling of her public facade. No longer would she be the self-sufficient, powerful figure atop the hierarchy – No.

Now, she was just a regular girl, and worse, a regular girl entwined with the idiot Shinji as her boyfriend.

But what's this at the corner of her eye:

"A cultural festival?" Shinji arched his eyebrow. "Is it already November?"

"In about a week yes," Hikari said, appearing before the odd couple. "And this year we added a special event just for the two of you."

"But why?" Asuka asked

"Well we thought what better way to celebrate our newly-wedded couple than at our annual school festival."

"Are we the only couple in the entire school?" Asuka asked, unable to comprehend the sheer nonsense of it, surely these people must realize this too, right?

"No." Hikari answered, "but you are the most prominent, I mean you practically announced your affections in front of all of us."

"She's got you there." Toji chimed in, waking from the seat of his table.

"Plus the other couples wanted something to do." Hikari continued. "this one just so happened to be love-related."

Both Shinji and Asuka sighed, any attempts to fight this insanity would be futile.

"The Shin-Asuka cosplay event," Hikari mused, her gestures painting a vivid scene of countless Asuka and Shinji replicas roving around the school.

"They're like…your children." Hikari reminisced, swept away by the romanticism. The Inspiration, the subjectivity, the primacy of the individual – Or more likely she was just intoxicated by the allure of romance.

But if one were to inquire of either Shinji or Asuka, it might appear more akin to Dadaist absurdity.

"Hooray," Asuka chimed in with dripping sarcasm. The teacher strolled into the classroom, and the monotony of the school day unfolded as usual, with tedious lectures and all.

END.
