Chapter 297
Hiccups POV:
It's been seven weeks since the adventure in Nepenthe and since then we've brought the foreverwings to the island and I am happy to say Roots helped them settle into their own section of the island where they now rest comfortably and just mind their own business. Along with this I'd received a package from king Mik who found it buried beneath the ground when he was digging and figured I might be able to use the item inside for something and as it turned out, it was a dragon eye lens containing information on the foreverwings. Besides that, my kids had finally begun taking it easier concerning their training since they'd learnt the value of taking a break to have some fun and rest a bit. This gave them the chance to spend a little more time with Zephyr and Xiu and bond with their baby siblings who had each grown their first tooth and were crawling more than ever, wanting to explore the world around them. It was always so adorable how the siblings would all play together in the garden or in the nursery since it showed how much they truly cared for each other.
I on the other hand had decided to get back to my roots a bit and began designing a few new inventions and automatons while also getting back to some automatons I'd designed but never built. First automaton I built was called the music pod, and it was for my baby girls in the form of a closed-up flower pod made of pure gold on the outer shell and when it opens up the petals are made of depths sapphire lined with gold to give it a little color. In the center was the life stone mixed with a glow stone to give it a little light and when it's opened the middle spins a small ten-pointed star in the center and as it spins the points strike small pieces of metal to make music. My wives loved it and so did Xiu and Zephyr who had begun falling asleep to the music as it filled the room through the night when it was on.
Then there's the automaton I built for battles which I called the 'spiked wheel' which was given this name since it was literally a wheel with ten-foot-long diamond steel stakes coming out of it. It has a metal shell with the inside being lined with spark stones, the center having the life stone and surrounding it were fever stones to make the spark stones explode when needed. As for the stakes with the bottoms of the stakes slots was ruby dragon and above it is fever stone because imbedded at the bottom of the steaks themselves is spark stone to launch them and the ruby dragon kept the spark stone in the wheel from exploding early. The way it works is I threw on it with the sides facing up and then they would roll at high speeds toward their targets, cutting up everything in their way and then they'd launch their stakes out with enough force to pierce stone. When they're out of spikes they'd fall to the ground and the fever stone would then heat up, igniting the spark stones to create a very big boom that would take out surrounding enemies. Perfect for when I'm going to war against large hordes of monsters or sieging enemy bases with large walls or long hallways since it could blow a hole in the wall or force enemies to flee to avoid the wheels.
Then there's the small automatons called the 'treasure shrimp' which were literally automatons designed to look like shrimp and was only a little bigger than my jewelwigs. These automatons were made for shipwreck scavenging since there were always parts of the shipwrecks my other automatons could never get into like small openings and others while also being able to dig for treasures in the sands. I'd already gone back to multiple ship wrecks I'd already looted and come up with a ton of new items that I couldn't get to before since they were too tight and came back with a small fortune since they were able to pull the items out and push them through the gaps for me or my other automatons to collect. As for the materials used to make them, their shells were made from depths sapphire mixed with gronkle iron with the eyes being made of depths sapphire mixed with eyes made from peer stone, in the center of the head was a small life stone and the feet were made of latch stone to grab onto things.
Besides my fortune getting a little bigger, nothing much has changed other than my dad deciding to partly retire from being chief and handing some of his chief duties over to me. These duties were mostly simple such as going through the naming ceremony of babies, helping repair things when needed, helping the people when needed but there were a little more complicated things like settling various disputes between people, organizing the dragon races and other duties. I didn't mind though since with Toothless most of these jobs didn't take all that long and with my negotiation skills that I'd learnt from the various leaders I've met, I knew how to easily handle disputes that took less than five minutes to solve. My dad kept telling me how impressed he was with my work since I'd often be done with my duties before him even though I had a lot more duties to handle than him. Other than that, things had been pretty good with me spending time with my family between chiefly duties and my continued training since I worked hard to get my skills and I was not going to run the risk of getting rusty or losing them completely.
Now I was getting a little training in while doing my chiefly duties by helping repair the roof on the village armory that had a hole blasted into it by a gronkle who had caught a cold and sneezed out a blast into it. The way this worked as training is I was fixing the hole while dangling upside down from a rope connected to Toothless' saddle which helped me exercise by lifting my body up to get the tools, nails and other things needed to fix the hole. This helped me train my body a bit since when training under the Ancient One I'd been forced to dangle upside down for long periods to enhance my pain tolerance and help my body adapt a bit so it wouldn't get dizzy easily. I'd also been hung upside down while training to be a zodiac master, so I'd be easily able to deal with enemies from above if I was restrained by my legs. I hammered the final nail in with a smile as I pulled myself up right by the rope and said.
"That takes care of that." I climbed the rope up and got back onto Toothless. "That's another job done for the day bud." He growled. "Next up is dealing with a dispute between a husband and wife who live down in the village square so how's about you grab some fish and the feeding station while I handle the couples domestic dispute." He growled and nodded, liking the idea before we took off.
10 minutes later
I walked out of the hut of a once arguing married couple and let out a sigh of relief since that was not a pleasant conversation to have with them as they were arguing about what happens in their bed. I was able to convince them to just try new things and take turns deciding who would get to decide on how they do things in their evening alone times. I took a breath and ran a hand through my hair before I noticed Bucket and Mulch walking up to me with looks of both confusion and pain on their faces. I walked up to meet them and said.
"Is something wrong?" Mulch answered.
"There's some foreign man down at the docks crying out for you and jabbering things in some weird language." It was then a voice from behind them said.
"He's speaking in Greek actually." They stepped aside to reveal Egil. "I was down there watching the boats come in and after his ship landed, he ran off talking his head off in Greek to the dock workers and grandpa Stoick so I heard what he was saying." I nodded.
"Weren't Brant and Chara?"
"I left them down there to try and calm him down and keep grandpa Stoick from punching him."
"Alright Egil, did you understand what the man is talking about and why he's looking for me?"
"My Greek still isn't as good as everyone else's but from I could understand, he claims to know you and really needs your help." I nodded before calling Toothless over and mounting him.
"We better hurry then since as much as I love your grandpa, he is not a patient man." Egil hopped on behind me.
For attack
"Then we better hurry because he was beginning to grind his teeth."
"That is never a good sign."
We quickly took off into the air and towards the docks, arriving there in two minutes and found a crowd formed around a Greek ship with my father standing in front of it with Brant and Chara at his sides. We quickly landed and I walked over to see what was happening since the way my father was rubbing his head, it looked like he was getting ready to explode in annoyance. I sighed and made my way through the small crowd that had formed to see what was happening only to find none other than Icarus, son of the great inventor Daedalus standing there pleading to my father to let him see me and I have to say I was surprised to see him since I hadn't seen him since he landed on Toothless after flying too close to the sun. (AN: Chapter 28 guys) I could tell he was nervous about something and if it had anything to do with his father, he was right to be scared since his father was one of the most amazing inventors I've ever met in my life. I walked up and said.
"Icarus, it's been a long time." He turned to me.
"HERACLES!"He rushed up to me and pulled me into a hug and when he pulled away, he looked me up and down. "I see you've grown." I smiled and shrugged.
"Well it's been years since we last saw each other but why are you on Berk?" All joy left his face and was replaced with fear and worry.
"I came looking for you!" I raised an eyebrow. "My father has been captured by a group of bandits lead by a disgraced Greek general who wishes to force my father to design weapons for him to aid in his conquest of all of Greece."
"But why come to me?"
"All others I have met have only wished to help so they could abuse my father and his inventions." He sighed. "Heracles although we have not seen each other in years, I have heard the tales of your adventures and know you would be the only one who would help without any ill intentions or plans to use my father." I knew Daedalus was a brilliant inventor and if he was forced to design weapons than there was going to be big trouble for many cities and their inhabitants.
"Do you know who it is who captured your father and where he's taken him?" He nodded. "Good, we'll set off tomorrow while spending the day preparing for the journey." He gasped and looked at me wide-eyed as I smiled. "Did you think I would turn down the chance to help an old friend and fellow inventor to be forced to design weapons to harm the innocent did you?" He smiled. "Come on, you can stay on my island where we can plan things out but for now just wait on your ship while I explain things to my dad who doesn't speak Greek." He nodded once more and boarded his ship while I turned to my dad and began explaining things to him and the people who had gathered to find out what was happening.
Afternoon the next day
I was once again on my ship, sailing in the sky above the waters of Greece towards the island fortress that held Daedalus and was ruled by the disgraced and exiled Greek general, Leander. As I watched the waters go by beneath me, I thought back to what Icarus had told me about Leander and what he did to get exiled in the first place. Apparently, he was once one of the greatest strategists in all of Greece and mighty warrior who was said to have been able to hunt a cyclops on his own, but it all came to an end when he got power hungry and tried to kill the nobles he served when they refused to help him in his quest for more power. He failed and both he and the men loyal to him were banished from the land they once called home vowing to return with an army that would help him to become ruler of all of Greece. This led to him seeking out Daedalus, having heard of his inventions he hoped to use him to create new siege weapons that would destroy any walls and armies that stood in the way of his army.
He found them living on a small island that wasn't well known to the Greeks and was mostly ignored so they thought they'd be safe, but the father and son were captured and taken to the island Fortress where they were held prisoner. For two weeks they were tortured to try and force Daedalus to design weapons until he was able to help Icarus escape under the cover of night through a hole in the wall while a straw dummy served as a decoy to deceive the guards. Icarus was able to steal one of their boats and remembered the stories I told him about the land I came from and after speaking to a couple of travelers he found his way to Berk after three weeks of travelling, seeking my help in saving his father.
Last night I'd been using my golden falcons to check out if Daedalus was still alive and I am happy to say he was, but he wasn't doing well since it looked like he'd been beaten pretty badly and barely fed anything. I'd also used the falcons to check out the fortress and saw it took up the entire land mass that had edges lined with walls and multiple connecting buildings on the inside, guards patrolling the walls, ballistae on towers, catapults and six ship sheds along with courtyards filled with armed guards and six ships had begun circling the island. In other words, this place was not going to be an easy place to deal with and chances are, would require all my mystic forces to break in and even by stealth, it was going to take some planning. That is how I'd spent most of my night and my entire morning with my dragon pipe in my mouth to help me focus and my wives around to help plan some possible tactics to handle the attack. In the end it was decided I'd use my Scouter automatons to drop a few of my orange Loki balls in one of the ship sheds causing a large fire to happen.
This would cause a bit of a distraction that would allow me and Toothless to fly onto the island and break into the base unnoticed through a blind spot between the guard towers. Toothless would then be brought into my shadow to avoid being spotted while I went and rescued Daedalus from his cell and pull him into my shadow. Then I'd get us out of the base and back to the ship where he'd be safe and reunited with Icarus before I begin the full-on attack on the base since from what Icarus told me, Leander and his men had gone from banished men to wanted pirates and those who had joined them were already wanted bandits with big bounties on their heads.
When it comes to the full-on attack on the base, I'd first send out my boom beetles to all the ship sheds to destroy them and cut off all possible ways for the men to escape the island while also providing a distraction so nobody would see me capture the surrounding ships. To capture the surrounding ships, I'd be using my own ship to pull them in and sending the crewmembers to be locked in the cells so they could be dealt with later. Once that's done, Toothless and I would take out the Ballistae and catapults from above and then use my arrows and other ranged weapons to deal with the men. Once that was done, I'd then come down and summon my ninja before we sweep up any remaining men, free any prisoners and loot the place for all its worth before going to Athens to let the people deal with them. I sighed and pushed myself off the railing before heading inside so I could go to my bedroom and meditate for a bit to calm my nerves a little before the attack.
Nightfall
Night had fallen and I had begun my attack and so far, there'd been no issues with the one ship being sunk and while the men had on ship had been rescued by their allies, it provided me and Toothless the chance to land on the island and break into the base. Now Toothless was in my shadow and I was silently making my way through the halls of the base or to be more precise, I was making my way through the rafters of the ceiling since the halls were full of guards. This made it impossible for me to make my way through the halls on the ground without alerting at least one of them that there was something going on which is why I was sticking to the high ground.
It was then I found the cell that held Daedalus with two guards armed with spears on either side of the door and knew exactly what to do with them. I brought out my blow pipe and took aim after loading two white darts. I launched the darts nailing each guard in the sides of their arms, making them freeze up, completely paralyzed and with that taken care of, I jumped to the ground and walked up to the door. I then used the eye of the dragon to check inside and saw there were two guards inside while Daedalus was suspended by his arms using shackles against the back wall. I smirked since my jewelwig automaton was still in the room with them so I could easily deal with the guards without causing any noise that would alert the others about Daedalus being freed. I quickly had my jewelwig deal with the guards before bringing out my red bell and using it on the door, pushing it open after the lock was disabled and silently closed the door so nobody would know anything was going on. I walked up to Daedalus who noticed my shadow but didn't look up as he yelled out.
"NO, I WILL NEVER DESIGN WEAPONS FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF GREECE SO JUST GO AHEAD AND KILL ME!" I smiled.
"Afraid I won't be killing you old today old friend; your son would never forgive me if I did since I promised him that I'd help get you out of here." He gasped and looked up asking.
"Heracles?" I nodded. "But how?"
"Your son let me know about what happened but as for how I got into the base unnoticed, let's just say a lot has happened since we last met." He smiled and nodded.
"That's understandable since it has been years since we last met." He then raised an eyebrow.
"How are we going to get out of here though?" I smiled and pulled out my red bell.
"I've picked up a few new tools to help with our escape." I lifted the bell and rang it near his shackles making them open up before Daedalus fall forward but I caught him and gently lowered him to the ground, sitting him up against the wall.
"Forgive me, I've been trapped in here for so long with little food and water while also continuously beating me to the brink of death." I smiled and put the bell away while pulling out my mystic Ganji waters.
"I can't do anything about the hunger or thirst right now, but I can at least take care of the wounds." He raised an eyebrow until my waters began flowing around his body, healing his open cuts, bruises and broken bones until he was physically alright before he turned to me with wide eyes while I took my waters back and put them away.
"What in the world?"
"Like I said, I've gotten some new tools since we last met." Before I could do anything else though, the door opened, and a voice said.
"Tools that shall be of great use to Emperor Leander." We both turned to see a single guard backed up by no less than fifteen other armed men, all wearing dark blue Greek soldier uniforms with a lion's face on the chest plates. "I must say that I'm impressed you were able to infiltrate our fortress so easily but what you did not know is we change guards for this cell every hour and when the ones outside collapsed after being shoved a bit, we knew something was wrong." I glared at him and got into my fighting stance making him chuckle. "Do you honestly think you can take us all on and even if you tried, we've already set off the alarm so there's no possible way out." I smirked.
"I may be outnumbered but you're all outmatched and out geared." He raised an eyebrow as I turned to Daedalus. "Stay behind me!"
He looked at me confused but did as I ordered before I released my crystal spear and slammed it on the ground towards them, causing crystals to burst from the ground and throw the men back. I then quickly took out a digger arrow and threw it against the back wall where Daedalus was once held, creating a giant hole, leading to the outside as I released Toothless and mounted him while the crystals shattered with my spear being returned to my prosthetic. I grabbed Daedalus and pulled him onto Toothless, behind me and we flew out the opening and into the sky, but sadly we didn't make it that far into the sky before the soldiers took notice of us and began crying out demon. When the archers spotted us, they quickly took aim and began firing arrows at us which is when I released my sentient metal discs and tail joints, using them to shield us from the arrows. They didn't do all the work though as Toothless returned fire at them, taking out four ballistae as I poured two bags of Damen's teeth towards the courtyard, growing a large group of armed skeletons who attacked the men as they screamed. I ignored them and steered Toothless towards my ship before we landed on the deck where Icarus was waiting for us with a big smile on his face. I helped Daedalus off Toothless and led him to his son, allowing the two to share a happy reunion while I began steering my ship to begin attacking the ships that were still circling the island.
10 minutes later
All the circling ships were now in bottles, their crew members in cells, the islands ship sheds were in flames and now Toothless and I were attacking the base fully. We'd already dealt with all the men who were on top of the walls by swooping down and sending them falling to the ground, plasma blasting the ballistae or hitting them with a fire arrow while also doing the same to the catapults. As for the men on the ground, their numbers had been thinned a little thanks to the skeletons I'd left for them to deal with but they had been able to destroy my skeletons by taking their heads off, still the battle had left them tired. I smiled and knew it was time to finish off the remaining men, steering Toothless towards the destroyed watch towers and landed before dismounting him making him growl. I smiled and rubbed his head as I said.
"Don't worry bud, I got this." As soon as the words left my mouth a man holding a shield rushed up the stairs but Toothless fired a blast at him, throwing him back down the stairs. "Thanks bud, keep me covered from above."
He nodded and took off while I rushed down the stairs leading down the tower and saw three men armed with swords coming up to meet me and pure anger on their face. I smirked and quickly launched a bola at the one in the front, quickly binding his arms to his sides while he dropped his weapon before I charged at him, slamming my shoulder into him. This threw him back into his friends and with them not expecting this, they all tumbled back and proceeded to roll down the stairs while yelling and grunting in pain. I didn't get to enjoy it for long as I looked over the railing and saw three more men rushing up before I smirked and jumped over the railing, landing on the three of them. I then rushed down the stairs and once I reached the bottom, I saw there were still twenty men remaining, all glaring daggers at me as I got into my battle stance and gestured for them to come at me. They charged and the fight began but with my kung fu, ninjutsu and other forms of training, they didn't stand a chance against me and were taken down in five minutes.
With them dealt with, I made my way into the fortress and was greeted by ten men armed with loaded crossbows all pointed at me with the men ready to fire their arrows. I simply took a breath as they fired their arrows but before the arrows could even get near me, my blade scarf made short work of the arrows. While my blade scarf dealt with the arrows, I released my prosthetics hooks and wires and once the arrows were dealt with, I swung my prosthetic down and moved my fingers to direct them. In seconds the wires had wrapped around the crossbows before I had my prosthetic pull the strings back in, slicing the bows into pieces and stunning the men. Before they could react though I activated my rhino helmet and charged down the hall with the rhino forming around me, slamming past the men and throwing them against the wall unconscious before I continued my charge to deal with any other men in this place.
15 minutes later
After fifteen minutes of nonstop charging in my rhino form, stopping to check rooms, beating the men inside and dealing with any other foe that I could find, strangely while singing filled my ears and what was stranger was it seemed to come from everywhere, but I shrugged it off figuring it was some kind of mental attack. Now I'd fought my way all the way to the room where I knew Leander was hiding in and I'd just pinned the two guards who were on either side of the door to the wall using my spiderpack to launch a web at each of them. I released my lion gauntlets and walked up to the door before punching it with my one gauntlet, shattering it open and walked in to begin my final fight. What I saw was a room with tapestries lining the walls and at the end was a single desk with one man sitting at it and three Greek women on either side and behind him.
The man was wearing a golden helmet shaped like a lion's head with the mouth framing his face and wrapping around the bottom of his chin, a golden chest plate with pauldrens shaped like the top of lions' heads and a crimson red cape. The girls on the other hand were truly beautiful but I got a bad feeling from them as if they weren't what they seemed to be, and I knew to trust this feeling from experience with shape shifters. The one on the righthad long straight black hair that went down to her butt and was wearing a long red skirt with cuts in the side to show off her legs, a high top that hugged her chest while leaving her stomach uncovered and had a sash that went over her right shoulder leaving the other shoulder uncovered. The one on the left wore a green version of the outfit but the top went up to a strap that wrapped around her neck and her brown hair was tied up in a large bun. Then the final one wore a purple version of the outfit with her top having two pieces that crossed over each other and met behind her neck and he long brown hair was tied up in a long ponytail. Although I didn't know who the girls were, I knew the man behind the desk was Leander who was giving me a slow clap before he said.
"Bravo Heracles, a most impressive feat saving that annoying inventor and then taking on my entire army singlehanded before coming out victorious." He smiled. "I admit, I never put much thought into those legends I'd been told about you but now I see that I was right to as those rumors don't do you justice as they do not measure up to what me and my women have seen tonight."
"It's been a long time since I did the things in those rumors, so I've had a lot of time to get stronger." He stood up.
"Which makes you perfect for my army." I raised an eyebrow. "Not as a mere soldier but as one of my generals." He then placed his hands on the table. "Think about it, join me and you shall have limitless wealth, untold glory, the very best this world has to offer whether it be riches, food, livestock, land or women." I shook my head.
"I've already got all that and more plus the whole ruling the world thing never really appealed to me." He sighed and lowered his arms.
"I am disappointed Heracles but if that is how you feel" He quickly pulled out a dagger from beneath his desk. "THEN DIE!" I raised my hand and caught the blade between my fingers and saw the tip had a purple liquid covering the blade and knew it was poison.
"Nice try but if I was that easy to kill, I would've been killed years ago by some common bandits."
He growled and pulled out a sword before vaulting over the table with his sword ready and thrust it right at my head, but I stepped aside and slammed my guantlet into his stomach, sending him flying back into the wall while knocking the air out of him. I walked up to him, ready to finish him off but before I could knock him out, he looked up at me with a look of pure confusion on his face instead of the look of pained anger I was expecting. He looked around before looking up at me and asking.
"What's going on?" He groaned in pain. "Where am I and who are you?"
As soon as he asked that the singing that seemed to come from everywhere got louder and he grasped his head in pain before he opened his eyes again that were now glassy and then back to normal. I realized what was going on as he growled, thrusting his sword at me but I dodged the blow as I collapsed my gauntlets and grabbed his wrist before slamming my fist into his gut, knocking him out cold and then gently laying him against the wall. Once I was sure he was down for the count I turned to the three women who were standing there behind the table and glared at them as I said.
"I'm guessing you three are the reason Leander went against those he served and began this whole plan to take over Greece." Their eyes widened. "I've dealt with mind control enough times to know it when I see it and I saw it being used on Leander." I then gestured to the room. "Then there's the singing that seems to echo throughout the entire fortress but the thing that gave you three away is the magic I can see you each have." They each gasped as I rubbed my eyepatch covering the eye of the dragon which allowed me to see the magic. "So why don't you stop singing and drop the disguises, sirens."
They glared at me as their beauty dissolved and their illusion faded showing their true forms that were something that made me nearly gag in horror. What I was now looking at were harpy like creatures with black scales covering their entire lower bodies that were human shaped while their upper bodies had skin that were the same color as the dresses, their eyes had a fire of hatred in them while their mouths were full of fangs with black ram horns coming out of the tops of their bald heads. If that wasn't bad enough, they had large black wings sprouting out of their backs, black talons for feet and black claws that looked as if they could cut through iron.
What caught my eye the most though were the gold pendants around their necks and knew why they were different to the sirens I originally faced when Cronus was taking over Greece. These sirens were named Parthenope, Leucosia, and Ligeia and Cronus imbued them with his own power so they could easily hunt down human males and bring them in to be enslaved and placed into Cronus' army. When Cronus was defeated though, they disappeared but I had been warned about them and to keep my guard up if I ever met them and to end their lives since the power within them was too dangerous to leave alone and after seeing what they'd been doing with it, I was in full agreement. It was easy to guess their plan, but I wanted to make sure I was right, so I said.
"Let me guess, you were using general Leander to form your own army so you could try to take over Greece and bring down the gods while also hoping to find a way to bring Cronus back to power." They just let out screeches that reminded me of a banshee, but it was enough to confirm my suspicions that I was right. "Well, I admire your loyalty but here's my opinion of your plan."
I brought out my lion gauntlets loaded with mist white crystals and slammed them together towards the sirens, letting out a sonic roar that threw the sirens into the wall and leaving a dent in it before I collapsed my gauntlets. I walked up to them intending to finish them off but before I could do anything they looked up at me glaring and began singing again making me raise an eyebrow. Then the sound of footsteps echoed through the hall and when I looked through the eyes of my automatons that I'd left around the base in case of trouble and saw all the men had risen and were now marching down towards the room with blank looks on their faces showing they were being controlled. I turned to the sirens and knew if I was going to stand a chance of getting out of here alive, I needed to silence them somehow and fortunately I had just the tool in the form of my voice stealing jar which I immediately brought out and pointed at them. As soon as I did, a mist flowed out of their mouths and into the jar silencing their songs, making them keep their mouths open wide as if they were trying to scream making me smirk in amusement as the men in the base collapsed. I looked at the sirens and said.
"Don't even bother trying to sing or screech, your voices are now trapped in this jar." They stared at me in horror as I put the jar away. "Your army is down and even if they weren't you have no way of controlling them now so just give up." They screeched before the green one charged and tackled me just as I activated my leather armor, causing the chains to shoot out and keep me from falling back while burning the siren but before she could jump back, I grabbed her by the neck using my prosthetic. "Nice try."
I lifted my other hand, turning it into its prosthetic form and released the blade that quickly launched forward into her chest, piercing her heart as it went right through her body which turned to dust leaving only the top of her skull behind along with the pendant. I turned to the two remaining harpies, and I could tell they were not the least bit happy with the death of their sister if their mouths open in attempts to scream were anything to go by. She lunged at me and swung her talons at me but I stepped aside to dodge and as soon as she turned to me, I punched her in the gut with my prosthetic, releasing my punch blade as I did so, stabbing her with it before dragging it up, cutting her entire front open. Her body turned to dust like her sister and just like before, all that was left was the top of her horned skull and the pendant leaving only the red siren who looked at me with fear now. She didn't attack me and instead turned to the shutters of the window and slammed into them taking off in flight as I glared and said.
"Oh no you don't!" I rushed up to the window while whistling for Toothless who swooped down as I jumped out the window and landed on him. "Let's go catch us an ugly songbird bud."
He growled and nodded before we took off after the last siren and with Toothless speed, we were able to catch up to her in seconds before Toothless nailed her in the back with a plasma blast. She didn't go down from it though but instead turned to us trying to let out a screech and turned to fly right at us, but I smirked while thinking how easy it was to provoke her and patted Toothless' neck in thanks making him croon. I then turned to the last siren who was flying straight at us and when she was only a few feet away, I released my spear and impaled her on it and for a few seconds we just hovered. Her body than turned to dust that fell into the ocean below, but I grabbed her skull and pendant thinking they'd make good trophies from this fight. I then turned Toothless back towards the fortress and sighed as I said.
"We've got a lot of cleaning up to do, bud." Toothless growled while rolling his head. "I know bud, but Leander is a great general who was manipulated by evil forces along with his men while most of the other men are bandits and pirates wanted for multiple crimes." He groaned and looked down while shaking his head. "I know bud, it's going to be a long couple of days." With that said, we took off back to the fortress.
AN: And another chapter done and right now some of you may be wondering why Greece again and to answer your question, I received a request to have a reunion with Daedalus and Icarus since it's been years. I figured a little reunion with these two would be good for a short adventure and would help for a few future chapters that are to come later on. Anyway, if you're having trouble picturing the sirens than just look up the sirens from Class of the titans as they gave me the idea. As for the one who gave me the idea for meeting with Daedalus and Icarus, along with the shrimp Automaton, it was all the idea of 'cwilloughby0209' thanks for the ideas man. Have a nice day all and remember to review kindly.
