Chiro cupped Antauri's face and pulled him close.

Every second that their faces got closer, the harder Antauri's heart pounded. It was nerve-wracking, but it also felt thrilling. He wanted to kiss him for a while now, and since they got together a week ago, it felt like a lifetime had passed before they finally got this chance. Chiro closed his eyes, but Antauri kept theirs open. He wanted to see his first kiss with him. His lips looked so soft and lovely, he had to see it too.

But when their lips were close enough to touch, they pulled themself away so quickly. They covered their mouth and looked away. It should've been simple, something great, but he was too nervous to actually do it with Chiro. They felt so bad that they didn't kiss Chiro like he hoped.

He gazed at Chiro, who simply had a smile on his face. He seemed so understanding of how he felt.

"It's okay if you're nervous, Antauri. If you can't do it right now, then that's fine too." Chiro reassured.

Chiro kissed his forehead and held them close. Antauri simply hugged him back.

They sighed, feeling down about it not happening.

Antauri held Chiro's hands.

Their heart pounded as he looked at his face. Chiro lightly chuckled, knowing what they thought about. He leaned closer, but their faces never touched. Antauri's heart leapt to his throat. His face was so close. If he didn't stop where he did, Antauri thought he was about to kiss him. Their hold on Chiro's hands became firmer. His exhale was shaky.

He then looked to the side. Everyone looked at the two and Antauri felt their stares. They were all watching in anticipation with Otto being the most excited. Antauri's stomach twisted and turned. He should be happy they weren't judging him, but at the same time it made everything much harder to do. It made him tremble more and second guess this more than he needed to.

They quietly gulped; he buried his face into Chiro's chest. Chiro caressed his head while Antauri wrapped his arms around him.

"I'm sorry," Antauri whispered.

He just couldn't do it with so many eyes on the two. They couldn't even take their face off Chiro.

"I guess we'll have to try again next time." Chiro lightly chuckled.

Everyone around them started to feel bad for watching them.

The cool night air brushed against their bodies.

They sat on the Super Robot to enjoy the moment of peace they had. Antauri looked over to Chiro, who had his eyes set on the starry sky above them. Some of his hair blew in his face. He didn't have a care in the universe. It made their heart explode and melt at the same time. Everything was just perfect for a kiss.

Antauri moved closer. When he was close enough to kiss his lips, Chiro looked at him. They panicked and kissed his cheek instead.

Antauri looked and moved away.

The fourth time certainly had to be it, right?

There shouldn't be any problems now. It was a nice, peaceful moment. Antauri and Chiro were the only ones in the room. Maybe they could actually kiss this time. They brought their faces in. Antauri slowly closed his eyes. Their lips were so close, almost touching. He could taste it before they even touched.

"Hey, Antauri!"

That made Antauri jump. If they were startled more, they would've hit the ceiling. He buried his face into Chiro's sweater.

"Oh, uh, sorry! I'll come back later." Sprx chuckled and left.

Chiro sighed profusely.

Antauri smiled as he rested in Chiro's arms.

He put his hand on Chiro's face. They moved in to try to kiss him, but they stopped. He rested his face on Chiro's neck. He sighed and looked down.

"I'm sorry, Chiro." Antauri started. "I know how much you wanted to kiss me. I just… can't seem to do it."

Chiro cupped his face and pulled him into view. "Hey, don't beat yourself up over it. Do you have any idea how long it took me and Jinmay to kiss? It took us months before we kissed for the first time. It's not the first time I've been in this situation. Trust me, I don't mind it at all. I'll wait forever if I need to."

Chiro smiled at them with reassurance. Antauri sighed with relief, thankful that he wasn't as impatient as they believed. Their tail swayed from side to side.

"Thanks, Chiro. Since it doesn't need to be right away… I simply wish to be in your arms right now."

Chiro sweetly smiled before he put his arms around him. He pressed his forehead against theirs.

Even if they hadn't kissed yet, Antauri cherished being in his son's arms.

They simply stared at Chiro.

His heart pounded, their breathing slowed, everything swirled in nervousness and excitement. Months went by as the two tried to have their first kiss, but it felt like an eternity when he looked at him. Antauri figured it was now or never, even if they had to make it a quick one. They floated over to Chiro, who looked at them and smiled.

"Hey, Anta-"

Before he could get anything out, Antauri grabbed his sweater and pulled him into a kiss. Their hands trembled and their breath was shaky, but they made themself go for it. Within moments, Antauri melted into his lips. Everything he felt during every attempt drained away.

Why was he so nervous about this?

When Chiro tried to pull away, Antauri brought him back in again and again. After a couple attempts, Chiro stopped trying to speak and kissed back with everything he got. It was like the rest of heaven was unlocked, and that kiss was it. Maybe it was an exaggeration, but that was what it felt like.

Finally, they pulled away and they pressed their foreheads together.

"I love you, Chiro."

"I love you too, Antauri."

They smiled.
