I'm here to go beyond my limit, not to compromise
And you can tell me if I mean it looking in my eyes
'Cause I've been waiting for my moment to strike
So, come close, let me show you what it's like
Yeah, you can try to stand in my path, but you're gonna regret it
I'll be the one who laughs last while I'm making my exit
'Cause this is only for the strong of heart, not if you get it
And no matter what the outcome, you better accept it
Long ago, on the night of your birth, your mother and I welcomed you into the world. Your mother was, well, attempting to deliver you! So she had her hands full! My job was to keep the Nine-Tails contained within your mother…
Little did we know what was about to happen. A masked man with malicious intent lurked in the shadows. He made it through the barrier I so meticulously crafted. I wasn't expecting anyone to get through it, so an intruder was the last thing on my mind. Which is how he grabbed you and began the chain of events that led us to this world.
I was able to save you through a series of events, but your mother was on death's door. He had taken the Nine-Tails from her… But she was stubborn, and someone in a weakened state mustered the energy to seal it back within her… She was not long for the world and knew the fox would reconstitute in several years. So together, we devised a seal to not only contain the Nine Tails…
But purify it through natural chakra. Her family… Your family legends told that at one time, the Nine Tails was a calm beast. One that sought peace with a man he called his brother. Through the years, man's lust for power, greed, and selfishness angered him. Drove his rage to all humanity.
She believed she could revert him into what he once was… Redeem and bring him back onto the path he once walked. Personally, I thought she was crazy, but I was already losing her… She did not want you to lose another parent. So I followed her plan and facilitated the natural chakra flow in her seal as she transferred the Nine Tails to you…
I was wrong about Kurama. All those times I have faced him within your mother's seal, he genuinely was what your family legends always said. …Still pissed off at me and doesn't trust most of humanity. But that is something I cannot blame him for… There are many rotten people out there.
Yet that damned masked man was tenacious. He continued his assault and tried to get to you. I thought I had him handled, but he did something I did not expect. He managed to touch you and tried to drag you into his realm. I had a seal on you so I could quickly grab you again… But something happened when I did. I now know exactly what happened.
Our separate techniques that rifted the very fabric of space ripped open a portal to this world. If he was sucked in here, I would have found him already. My mark is difficult to remove without the knowledge of how to do it. I would have felt him if he arrived here. So I know it was only the two of us, and I am glad. …You know I've been researching for quite some time, and it's time I told you what it was… I found a way back home.
Yes, it's exciting, Naruto… It is a whole world of new possibilities… I hope that someday you will get to see it.
I'm sorry… I am not taking you with me. That world is my world, and its problems are mine to solve. This is your world. You only know this world and its laws. And having come to know this world… I prefer this world despite the horrors it faces. Outside how humanity treats Faunus… Your people here, it is still preferable to the perviable threat of looming war. Or worse… Whatever the masked man was planning on doing with Kurama.
So, I'm going to head back on my own. I've prepared you the best I can and taught you everything I can teach you. Kurama is teaching you how to use your ancestral power and the art of Ninshu. You have long since surpassed me.
But you need to find the spark that drives you. You have all this power, but you haven't found your way. I hate to admit this, but I think it is obvious… I am the reason you haven't made the next step. I'm always here, guiding you… But it's time for you to step out on your own. You don't need me to keep growing, Naruto.
And I don't want my world to drag you down in that toxic spiral of hatred. This world may have its issues, but at least it's pretty straightforward with what the problem is. I leave them for you to solve. Got it? That's the job I'm tasking you with while I'm taking care of my world. Show everyone that fire I see in you and give them hell for your mother.
So keep your chin up. Kurama is here with you, so you are never alone. I'll return when I take care of all those problems and see you again. Maybe take you back home and show everyone how proud I am of you… And who knows, maybe I come back, and you have a cute girl on your side?
Haha, I know. Just have to fluster you one last time while I could… You may have learned from me and tried to become like me… But you are more like your mother than you could ever know.
Goodbye, my son. I hope this isn't the last time I see you, but in case it is…
I love you.
The sunset was gorgeous at this time of day. It greatly contrasted the slimy, moss-covered bogs through the Mistral Trade Path.
Gave him something pretty to look at…
"Although Sakura Park was nice… What is it with pink that I like?" A young boy with spiky blonde locks and a long white tailcoat stood in the wind after plucking a kunai directly from a Nevermore's skull.
Big Bird never stood a chance.
'You ain't lying.' The boy slid the kunai into his pouch attached to his thigh, his pale red pants dusted with the dirt of the road. Needs a wash…
Haphazardly cocking his head back, his gaze sharpened at the trailer truck behind him. It was filled to the brim with crates from what he imagined were supplies. Waving his hand forward, the driver blinking profusely at what he just witnessed, he signaled them to move forward. "Mah, let's keep going, would ya! Nothing worth worrying about!"
"We're almost Kuroyuri. I got ya covered!"
Stepping out of the warehouse, night had fallen. The full shattered moon stared down at him. It was a bright night, all considering as he filed the cards in his hand by the amount and slid them into his wallet.
Bastards sold us short!
"It's fine, Kurama." Naruto softly whispered, not fearing being heard as he moved toward the sparsely lit street. "These are disenfranchised merchants trying to build a town away from the Kingdom of Mistral. It's understandable they are not paying full price…"
Nah, these bastards' penny pinch! Don't forget I can see through lies. It is why many of these 'disenfranchised' merchants are stacked. Greed fills these streets…
'Along with many poor refugees they took in just trying to find a place to call home.' Naruto passed his thought to Kurama, passing by a roaming street guard and a few younger teenagers. 'They may be greedy, but they're taking in the needy and at least looking after them.'
Not well. That girl over there looks hungry.
Naruto scrunched his brow, noticing a very young girl with brilliant orange girl absently roaming the streets, looking skittish as she looked at everyone around. Repressing the sigh building, Naruto rolled his eyes. "Touche, Kurama."
Carefully approaching the wary girl as she wandered about, she nearly fled as he stepped beside her. Seeing this, he carefully squatted before her and minimized his size to hers to calm her. "Hey, hey, hey! Nothing to be scared about… I saw you wandering out alone. I was worried. Do you need help finding your way home?"
The timid girl quivered, intently focused on him, watching his every move as she stared directly into his eyes. Ready to flee at any given second. She did not answer, but the mist building her eyes was everything he needed to hear.
"I see…" Naruto internally frowned, keeping his outward expression relaxed so he didn't seem visibly frightening to the girl. An orphan… So many bandit attacks around these parts.
"Do you have a place to stay?" He followed up, holding out his hand to the girl. "I can take you there. It's not safe at this time of night for adults. For a pretty little girl, it's even worse. I don't want to see you hurt."
To his surprise, the girl sunk her head and shook it. Did she trust him enough to break eye contact? Wait, was she reading him and could see he didn't mean her any harm? …She was talented if she was…
But still… "No? What's the matter? Is something wrong with going back?" Naruto felt his gut clench at the question as he kept his thoughts from his expression. For a kid not to want to go back, it had to be pretty serious. What did they…
"Hungry." Her head lowered as she finally broke her silence. "Want more… Not enough."
"Oh…" Naruto took a deep breath to keep his composure. Reaching into his pouch, fiddling with his things, and finding the correct one, he withdrew a meat stick. Holding it out to her, he softly smiled. "Here. It isn't much, but it's packed with protein and keeps me mildly satisfied while on the road."
"But be careful," Naruto chuckled as the girl swiped from his hand. "They are tough as a roc…"
"Or you could shred right through them." Naruto's eyes narrowed in utter amazement as the little girl bit through it with such a bite force he felt the pressure from it where he stood. "Mental note… Don't get bitten."
She could put a shark to shame! Damn, that kid has a bite!
Naruto could only nod as he watched the girl wolf down the meat stick with a few bites, her formerly misty eyes not bright and glowing. "Thanks mister…"
"Naruto." Naruto chuckled, scratching the back of his head. "Now, let's get you back. Kids shouldn't be wandering the streets alone at night."
"What now?" Naruto scrunched his face as she looked at him strangely.
"You are." The young girl pointed out the obvious.
Naruto's brow twitched. He was fourteen, dammit! It wasn't abnormal for a kid his age to be out at this time… Even if he was far from ordinary.
"I have to agree." A voice Naruto didn't recognize spoke up. "There is a town curfew. Kids under sixteen are to be home by ten."
Seeing the girl panic and nearly flee, Naruto stepped in front of her as he stood up, glancing back at the person who spoke. A tall man with black hair and a beard with gray streaks approached them.
Observing his posture as he approached, Naruto was more at ease with the man. Didn't seem to harbor any motives from a cursory glance. Didn't mean there wasn't one, but he wasn't displaying it.
But he had an answer as he reached into his pocket, withdrawing his scroll and holding it before him. It lit up as a screen appeared, showing his credentials. "Curfew laws do not pertain to certified Huntsmen. I am well within my legal right to be patrolling at any hour, anywhere."
The man in the ornate green vest with long tail coats was clearly stunned at this revelation as he scanned through the information on his identification. A frown built as he finished reading. "A certified Huntsman at such an age? …What is Lionheart thinking…"
"I am more capable than most." Naruto pocketed his scroll while keeping steady eye contact with the man. "In order to skip academies completely, I had to take a far more grueling test than the standard one they issue… And I exceeded every single expectation."
The man's brow rose, further surprised, before his expression returned to a placid state. "I see… I didn't mean to interfere, but when seeing two children on the streets at this time of night, I felt it was my duty, regardless if I am not a guard, not to ensure your safety. Our town… Has not been safe throughout the last couple of days."
"Nah, you're good. I was doing the same with this little gal. I saw her running on the street and wanted to ensure she was okay." Naruto waved it off, understanding the man's reasons.
"Oh, I see." His gaze fell onto the frightened girl huddled behind Naruto's leg. He looked almost bewildered that she was still there but gave her a gentle smile. Then, with a nod toward Naruto, he exhaled. "Her situation… It is quite unfortunate. The shelter isn't too far from here. I can show you where it is… It's where she stays."
"Thanks!" Naruto gave a radiant smile before he looked behind him at the scared girl. "Like the nice man said, it's not safe at night. Let's get ya back… Still don't want to go back, huh?"
"Hungry…" She lowered her head again.
"Ah, well, that's a pickle." Naruto furrowed his brow for a moment before smiling wide. "How about this? You come with us… And I give you another treat?"
Her eyes shimmered as her head snapped up to meet his. With a vigorous nod, Naruto chuckled. "Well, alright then. Let's follow the nice man and get you back to the shelter safely…"
"Nora." Aqua eyes brightly shone.
"Alright, Nora." Naruto chirped, holding out his hand for her. "Let's get you back, and I'll get you another snack."
"And if you're well-behaved on the way there, I'll return tomorrow with some ice cream."
With a ring of the bell attached to the door, middle-aged, brown-haired Faunus with wolven ears perked as she lifted her head from her desk. She yawned and looked over at the clock.
It was reasonably late… Rare to get a customer this late at night.
"Welcome!" She closed her eyes to keep from showing her exhaustion as she smiled. "We have plenty of rooms for rent! Do you need one bed? Two? A loft?"
"One will be fine." A voice of a fairly young voice caught her off guard.
Opening her eyes, she was surprised as what looked to be a blonde Faunus teenager with a bushy orange tail and similar colored fennec ears that couldn't be more than fourteen, fifteen years of age, stepped into her inn as the door closed.
"Um… Are you traveling alone, young sir?" Her eyebrow raised at his entrance. It wouldn't be the most surprising she had seen.
But a child of this age without a group of friends or his parents was peculiar. It typically was a sign of trouble to come…
"Yeah, it's fine." He signaled passively as he pulled out several green Lien cards. "I can pay for the night. Is that a problem?"
With sparkles shining with her eyes at the sheer among of Lien he was displaying before her, she rapidly shook her head. Preconceived notions be damned! The kid was stacked!
"No, sir! A room for one!" She quickly sifted through her available keys, plucked a key, and put it on the desk. "That will be…"
"Keep the extra for the trouble." The spiky blonde fox shook his head as he laid out several cards on her desk before lightly smiling as his ears twitched. "Gotta look out for one another, right?"
Taking the key at her look of shock, he saw his room number and nodded, moving toward the stairs. And he ascended, his fox ears light resonated as he heard the woman's voice. "Thank you… If you need anything…"
"Just a good night's sleep before I hit the road again." He lightly lackadaisically waved as he kept walking up the stairs, hiding his smile.
"Glad I made your day."
The room was nice. Cozy even.
A small round table in the corner with a chair. A nightstand beside the bed. A window with the tone outside within direct sight of the shattered moon. What looked like a not too soft, but not too hard of a bed…
Good little room.
"This has been a longer day than I expected." Naruto contently sighed as he pulled off his white tailcoat to reveal a yellow buttoned shirt beneath with an orange collar, opening the closet door at the entrance to hang it up.
Took every side mission possible today, kid.
"Mah, making sure Nora was safe was worth it." Naruto sat on the edge of the bed and slid off his navy blue boots, groaning as he did. "Gah, unpaved roads are rough…"
Suck it up.
"I can take it all day…" Naruto glowered at the fox as he removed his fingerless, knuckle-padded gloves that matched his boots. "But I'm gonna complain about it. If we could repel the Grimm long enough to build a major street from Mistral out here…"
Well, better get to convincing them that you could give them that time!
"Right… Me, a Faunus, convincing the Mistral council to do something? What alternate reality do you live in?" Naruto scoffed and shook his head, glancing over to the door to what he expected was the bathroom.
He could use a bath right about now… Not a shower… But a nice, hot bath.
He needed it.
Gonna have to figure it out, kid. Can't tell you how. It's your job to reach them. I detest people. Rather just make them listen.
"That only lasts for a little while… Fear is only temporary until it is overcome by hatred." Naruto shook his head before standing up and striding toward the bathroom.
Getting now, are we? Learning the lessons from Ashura I've been teaching ya?
"Shut up, Kurama." Naruto shook his head. "I need a moment to shut my brain off for a little while."
"Never felt like I could use a bath more than I need now."
Kid, wake up. We have an issue.
"What?" Naruto immediately rose and kicked up into a seat position, kunai in hand, as he scanned the room for an intruder before leaping out of his bed and rushing to the window. "Kurama, what is it? What am I seeing? Fire on the outskirts of town tells me nothing. Bandits? Grimm…"
That one. There is a lot of negativity pouring in… This village is about to get overrun… I've never seen them swarm like this without a negative outburst drawing their attention.
"Well, it's not good either way!" Naruto snarled as he hopped toward the nightstand, sliding on his navy blue fingerless gloves and similar color-themed boots. "Can you sense how many of them there are precisely beside it being a massive horde? If there is enough, I might need to use natural energy to keep from succumbing to the negative energy pollution they put off."
Already on generating it for you when you need it, kid. Can't estimate a number when it's a wave of negative aura this large. What's worse, I can sense several more intense negative outputs within it. This doesn't feel like any swarm I've seen before.
"That's lovely info! Thanks!" Naruto sarcastically snapped before wincing as his ears curled. "Sorry…"
Yeah, your mother's temper. I'm used to it. Let's go. These people aren't gonna survive if we sit around.
"You're right," Naruto grabbed his tailcoat and exited the door, sliding his coat on as it flowed behind him as he descended the stairs. "Time to go make a difference."
"Mam! Please calm down!"
"No, I'm leaving! I don't want to be here!"
Naruto's attention was snapped to the desk below where the friendly wolf Faunus was struggling with a young woman with vivid sakura-tinted hair, attempting to leave the premises. It would have been bizarre to see an innkeeper trying to corral one of her customers…
If she wasn't explaining the problem.
"Mam, you can't leave! The wall guards have lit the warning flames! We are to stay inside for safety!"
"No, I cannot stay here any longer!" The young woman with fluorescent pink hair wildly flailed, pushing past the innkeeper and sprinting for the door.
Only for Naruto to snap his hand around her wrist, pulling her back and drawing her hazel eyes into his. "She is correct. Grimm are swarming the walls. If you leave, you have nowhere to run to. Staying inside is your safest option."
"No, it isn't! You don't understand what's coming!" She struggled against his grip, her eyes flickering widely. This wasn't normal… She wasn't attempting to hurt the innkeeper, just trying to get by, so she wasn't trying too hard…
But the harder she tried to break his grasp… The tighter it was. And she couldn't break his hold!
Kid… She knows something.
"Ah!" Her eyes widened as she was suddenly flung to the ground, her arms roughly being wrapped behind her back. "What are you doing? I'm…"
"You know something about what's going on, and I'm going to find out just what." Naruto scowled, tightly tying the knot after firmly wrapping her arms with rope. "If you run, I will find you wherever you go. I will get my answer from you, whether you like it or not!"
"Take this!" Naruto drew a tri-tipped kunai and slid it across the floor to the innkeeper. "If at any point you are in danger, stab that into the ground! I'll come back and deal with the situation."
"Young sir." The innkeeper hesitantly glanced down at the young woman before gazing at Naruto. "You can't go out ei… What?"
"Official Licensed Huntsman." Naruto held out his scroll, and his identification flashed on the screen as he gave her a thankful glance before following with a confident grin. "I know you are doing your job and keeping your customers safe… Now let me do mine and keep you all safe."
"And if any Grimm gets this far, don't hesitate and use that kunai. I'll come running."
This was a nightmare. Why now, of all times? What had caused so many to come here? There had to be a reason for this.
What was drawing them here? There was no bandit attack. No travesty… Nothing!
Why were Grimm being attracted to his home with such numbers?
"Fall back!" He yelled as he retreated down the main path with his back turned to the city, letting loose the string of the bow as the Grimm had breached the gate, the walls doing nothing to stop their march.
It struck true into the head of a Beowolf and crumpled to the ground. Its body began to disperse, signifying its death, but that was hardly of any consequence. There were so many more that killing one solitary one meant nothing.
"Get as many people out of here as you can! We can't stop this horde!" He called out, attempting to rally what little of the guard remained to protect everyone.
"Wasn't there Huntsman that came to town?!" One screamed as they were nearly overrun, narrowly avoiding a Boartusk as it rolled toward him.
"Someone go find him! He can…"
"One Huntsman can do nothing against this!" He snapped at the town guard, rapidly pulling back his bow as fast as possible. "All we can do is evacuate and pray! Now get to the city and…"
Before his very eyes, time slowed for him as he caught a flash of metal tossed between him and all of the town guards. Aimed directly toward the oncoming horde of Grimm. He recognized the shape. He had seen it many times in his life.
It was a single ninja knife… A kunai.
But it was peculiar in shape. Why did it have three points?
"Kage Kunai no Jutsu!"
As everything sped up, a cloud of smoke enshrouded the kunai briefly before hundreds of the same knife dashed and cut through the Grimm. Yet many missed and embedded into the ground.
And then when he saw a golden flicker of fight. It glistened through the darkness of night. The Grimm's ebony bodies only magnified its magnificent light as it cut through them in the blink of an eye.
He couldn't believe what he was seeing. The horde of Grimm all lay on the concrete slabs of the main road. A thick mist of their essence oozed into the sky from their lifeless bodies.
A flicker of light emerged near the closest kunai, a lone figure strolling toward them as more flowed through the shattered gate. It was the young Huntsman.
"Man the walls!" Naruto ordered, calling out to the guards, and pointed back to the city's entrance. "I will push them back and keep the gate! Keep them funneled to it, and we will live through this night to see another day!"
The men hesitated. Even despite what they just saw… The sheer amount of Grimm…
A horrid screech rooted every man to the spot as the dust rattled as concrete shattered beneath a large black form. A horse Grimm clomped its feet at the cracked concrete as its deep red eyes stared at its target, who turned from the guards and faced it.
Yellow irides bored into the Grimm's hollow red eyes as the rider on the back screeched once more, striking fear into the hearts of all the guards. Its arm flicked forward and stretched unnaturally toward the young Huntsmen at rapid speed and was on him so quickly that dodging didn't seem to be an option.
Yet with two lightning-fast flicks of his wrist, as he stepped in between both arms, the Grimm screech was no longer fear-inducing. It felt pain as its hands crumpled onto the road, severed from its arms by the knife in the Huntsman's hands.
He approached without wasted motion, undaunted by the horrific creature. He had never seen a Grimm of such caliber. Of such strength…
Yet this young Huntsman did not fear it. He had already crippled it!
The horse neighed and sprinted forward to trample him with its mighty hooves. And it collapsed into the ground, its head rolling as the Huntsman landed on its back, facing the rider face to face.
With one last swing of his knife, the deed was done, and the head came clean off.
And as the body began to smoke, the young Huntsman turned back to each of them and called out to rally them. "I will get you and your people through this night! You better damn believe it!"
In a flash of golden light, the men, spirits raised, roared as they sprinted back to the walls. With his bow drawn, a look of hope dawned on him as he struck true to a Grimm's skull with his arrow.
His son… Nay, his village would make it through this night.
What was she witnessing?
This was unprecedented. It had been such a long time since she had seen something of this nature.
The Silver-Eyed Warriors? No, a solitary warrior, even at their peak, would have fallen to this brew. And this was a golden light.
She had calculated for this night. Planned for it. There should have been no way this town would have survived such a rush… And she would claim what she so desired.
Yet, through her vision, she could not comprehend what she was observing. A single person was slaughtering them all? Using his magic to rally the town's defenses and wipe out her remaining forces?
No, not a person… This was a child. A child had impeded her plans?
"Who are you, boy?" She tapped her fingers on the length of her chair, frustrated at the vision before her. "Where did you come from? And what power is this?"
"I will have my answers." She scowled before her eyes flickered as flick metal appeared before her vision. "What? He knows my Seer is there?
Watching as the light flickered and saw the boy hovering in the air, red-voided eyes shimmered at the loss of her vision as her will was not quick enough to react.
A blue swirl of energy ripped through her mind's eyes as a shout screamed to the heavens, causing her heart to thunder in her chest as she leaned back into her throne.
"Rasengan!"
Light dawned on the battlefield as the sun rose from the east.
Grimm corpses lay strewn across the entrance of their town and outside their walls. Their bodies slowly evaporate into mist, staining the air with their negativity…
But not a single one stood alive.
Even with the aura they would bring for the foreseeable future, their town had been saved.
All due to the actions of the young Huntsman as he stood on top of the city gate, gazing down onto the field below.
He stood in awe, gazing up at the young man. He had thought he was just a boy evading curfew when he happened upon him with the young orphan. And yet here he stood…
The savior of the settlement.
Words could not express the gratitude he had. No amount of Lien could ever pay him back for what he did for the people of this village. For the men. The women. The children…
Everyone needed to know his name. The name of the single Huntsman that overcame unfathomable odds to bring them salvation.
Naruto Uzumaki.
For the first time all night, Li Ren smiled.
He would remember that name and spread his valor for all to hear.
This was someone he could only dream Lie could follow in the footsteps of.
"Young Huntsman!"
Those words caused Naruto's fennec ears to curl as he stepped back into the inn for the first time as the sun shone behind his back. He was tired and needed sleep. The last thing he wanted to hear was a shrill…
"Why are you tied up?!" Naruto immediately cut free the wolf Faunus as she lay on the floor, arms tied behind her back and legs bound. "Oh, son of… That idiot did have something to do with this!"
"I'm sorry!" The innkeeper grimaced as she slowly picked herself up, her expression gloom-filled. "She was so fast… The next thing I knew…"
"Yeah, she was stronger than she was letting on," Naruto grunted as he stood up, taking the kunai from her and embedding it into her floor. "Sorry, I'll pay for that… I'm going to drag that idiot back."
"She must be long gone." The innkeeper looked surprised. "Surely you can't… Huh?"
A golden flicker of light dispersed before her very eyes… And the young Huntsman was gone.
"Where did he… Was that a Semblance?"
Breathing heavily as she sprinted as far as she could through the swampy terrain, hazel eyes scanned every inch of her surroundings. There was no choice… She was so sorry, but she couldn't have stayed. If she had…
Everything that Silver-Eyes did for her would mean nothing! She had to escape. Continue to run…
Never be caught by her!
"Ah!" She screamed and was suddenly slammed into the ground by a heavy hand.
No, they had found her! And caught up so quickly! This was… She couldn't let this end here! She couldn't fail!
A pink aura spread across her eyes. With a shout, a fire burned all around her as she forced her attacker off her. Skittering to her feet, she turned to face her attacker. There was no choice… She was going to have to…
The pink energy surrounding her eyes sapped. Her Aura crackled and shattered as she fell to her knees, doubling over as she clutched her chest. A sharp, unbearable pain rippled through the core of her chest and throughout her body.
She couldn't breathe! Her lungs felt like they had collapsed!
Hacking and trying desperately to inhale, making a rasping noise as she sucked in air, a voice echoed above. A familiar voice…
The boy's voice.
"I told you I would find you no matter where you went." He growled lowly at her, kneeling before, gripping her by the back of her shirt before tossing her to the damp grass beneath them. She felt him rip her arms behind her back painfully as he tied something far more cutting around her wrists than before.
If she tried to struggle against these… They cut into her!
"You tried to escape, so we are doing this the hard way!" He spat as he forcefully lifted her to her feet, and hazel bored into furious ceruleans. "I want to know what the hell you are and just what you know about what happened, dattebayo!"
"And if I don't like what I hear, I'm gonna make sure you stay locked up for the rest of your life!"
Will the whole world know your name
When we dance with destiny?
I've been there, and I've seen it
I'm never gonna stop believing
You'll find your flame
Oh, we can save the day (the day!)
It's been a while for those that don't follow on Ao3.
No. This isn't a come back. I have not stopped writing, either. Stories like Legend of Golden Kitsune, Torn to Oblivion, From Ashes to Leaves, NWBY, Fairy Tale of the Sun, The End as We Know It, Guiding Light and Lost Destiny (which will have an update here on 4/24, Pyrrha's and my birthday) have been updated along with Snippets from my concept bin.
I am no longer updating on FFN. This is my swan song from the site I join in '07, one I will not be coming back to, and my last notice to you, the readers who I respect and wish to inform of my intentions without leaving you in the dark. The site has been entirely too unstable this last year (and honestly, since I've returned from writing) and while Archive of Our Own has its issues (ironically, they have one of their own right now where they had to shut off all guest reviews due to a mass outbreak of spam comments which I heard may have even included pornography), they are far fewer and I don't want to deal with the stress.
That is where you will find stories like this I have written continued. If not, I hope you enjoy this one last story, my friends. Your reasoning is valid, whatever it may be, and I hope you enjoyed it. For those that will continue to follow me over, thank you.
For the last time here, Peace my friends.
