In that moment the men of the front lines forget all about the Rumbling. Their breath hitched in their throat as they stared into the horizon. Something was stirring. Something big.

"It's Godzilla!"

The creature reared its head and stared out from its deep ocean habitat. It blinked, tiredly, as it stared at the giant wall of approaching titans. It bared its fangs, and let out an unearthly screech.

The people on the ship watched in awe in terror as Godzilla slammed his tail upward and slammed it back down. An entire wave erupted from it, and the men on the battleship cried out in surprised as they were thrown back, holding onto the barriers for support.

"General!" One of the men screamed. "If any creature can stop the Rumbling… It's Godzilla!"

A shadow fell across the man's face.

"Then we are certainly doomed." He said, as Godzilla's next wave topsided the entire thing. The entire ship keeled over, causing all of the men onboard to scream out in pain and suffering as they fell into the ocean… the ship flipping over completely right over them.

Godzilla took no notice of this. Instead his gaze hardened as he faced his ancient enemy. It had been hundreds of years since he had last fought a Rumbling: Doubtless it had found a new host to exploit.

He opened his maw wide and a blast of energy shot forth. He fired in a horizontal line, obliterating the approaching giants with effortless ease. He knew better than to expect that was all of them… Creatures like this were now walking all over the planet.

And if he went back to sleep now it wouldn't be long until they woke him back up.

"Godzilla has returned."

A heavy silence fell around the table as the leaders of the Kingdom of Marley sat around the table, their faces grim.

"It awoke the moment the Rumbling began." The man in charge of the Godzilla Task Force spoke. "It is speculated that the Rumbling disturbed its hibernation period… it goes into statis for long periods of time in between its rampages."

He tapped the blackboard behind him. "This information was never released to the public… but traditionally Godzilla was seen as the only creature who could stop the expansion of the Eldian Empire. He was our hero…. He is likely the reason why our civilization still exists to this day."

"This isn't the first time he has stopped a rumbling."

"That is correct." The man said, nodding. "Every time one has been triggered in the past Godzilla has risen to defeat it. However…"

"However?"

"Godzilla, in certain ways, is more dangerous than the Rumbling." He said. "It leaves a trail of dangerous radiation that destroys wildlife for generations. Furthermore it is possible to destroy it a titan. It is impossible to destroy Godzilla."

"Surely with modern weapons-"

The man was already shaking his head.

"It cannot be done." He said gravely. "Our only hope now is that the Eldians and Godzilla destroy each other…"

The room fell into a dark silence.

Godzilla advanced. No matter the foe, no matter the monster, in spite of the endless titans beyond the walls, he continued on unflinching. His rage was building: The spikes on his black glowed with a destructive radiation as it approached the endless wall of titans. Wave after wave of titans threw themselves at him, and they fell like all the rest.

Godzilla let out a screech that could be heard miles and miles across the ocean. The Rumbling continued onward. In spite of his overwhelming power, it would continue until Godzilla reached the source of the titans. The creature that hosted the founding titan, and that had triggered the Rumbling.

Wave after wave of Titans fell as he advanced, completely unphased. His natural instincts directed him to the source of this threat. The thing that had to be destroyed.

The creature was like all of the others. A giant skeleton loomed over the horizon. The center of it, was the face of the One who had triggered all of this. Godzilla reared his head and roared.

The thing continued its advance. Titan after titan spawned from it and flung themselves at him, but Godzilla stood tall. He took in a deep breath, and then exhaled his atomic breath.

Eren Jaeger was consumed completely by the energy. Godzilla stood triumphant as the Marleyans watching from a distance began to cheer.

"Long live Godzilla!"

"Our savior!"

"Our hero!"

Their commander stood above them all, his eyes narrowed. Godzilla advanced, stepping foot on Paradis Island, and the cheers became even louder. His brow was furrowed.

"You know what this means… do you not?"

The commander glanced down. Two tiny fairies were staring up at him.

"Godzilla will see this Island as his new territory." They said, in unison. "He will live out his days here until the next Rumbling."

"What do you mean?" The man hissed, leaning forward. "Godzilla brings nothing but destruction!"

"Destruction to his enemies." They answered. "Once it was the titans. But now…"

The commander's face tightened. "It will be us." He rasped.

"This was Eren Jaeger's plan all along." They said. "To make Godzilla the guardian of Paradis Island. Never again will you be able to exploit the goodness of the Eldian people And never again will the Eldian people rely on the power of the Titans to protect themselves who would destroy them."

"Wait just a moment-" The Commander began. "You make it sound as if the Eldian people never did anything wrong."

The tiny fairies stared at him with something that resembled contempt on their faces.

"It is no matter." The Commander said. He raised his voice and pressed his hand on the loudspeaker button. What he said next rang out all over his ship. "We will find a way to destroy Godzilla, and those people he would protect."

The crew stopped. They turned around and stared up at him in shock. The man's face tightened.

"It cannot be done." The twin fairies spoke again in unison. "The Eldian people will not be destroyed."
