Author's notes before this story begins. The basketball star in this series is an original character to make it stand out more from the original Space Jam movies. And there is one other original character who has been added due to a request. Welcome to the jam!
It's a bright sunny summer day and thirteen year old Richard Krantz is shooting hoops in his backyard. He is an aspiring basketball player who is quite a fan of the Looney Tunes. The basketball attire he is wearing happens to be a Tune Squad attire from the first Space Jam movie. He's been a fan of the Looney Tunes since he was a little kid. His father introduced him to it before he left for another woman.
"Yes!" Richard exclaimed. "I got another three-point shot!"
His mother came into the backyard to greet her son and share some important news with him.
"Richard, today I met someone." She said. "His name is Alan, and he has a son who is just about your age."
"That's great, mom!" Richard replied. "I can't wait to meet them."
"Just a little heads up." His mother replied, her tone changing from a happy one to an informative one. "Alan and his son, Jeremy, are huge fans of Disney."
Richard shrugged. He thought Disney was okay, but it didn't produce as much entertainment to him as the Looney Tunes did. He always had it in his head that Mickey Mouse had nothing on Bugs Bunny.
"Well, I just hope they don't shove it in my face." Richard said at last.
"I'm sure they won't." His mother replied.
Later that day, Richard was introduced to Alan and Jeremy. Richard was dressed in a full Mickey Mouse attire, complete with a fake ears hat, while Jeremy was dressed in a Donald Duck outfit that came with a mask and hat.
"Hiya, fellas." Alan greeted, in a voice sounding like Mickey's.
"Aw phooey!" Jeremy exclaimed, in a Donald Duck voice.
When the two saw Richard's Tune Squad attire, they both immediately ceased their impressions and gave looks of pure disgust and contempt.
"What the heck is he wearing?" Alan demanded, sounding strict.
"It's my Tune Squad attire." Richard answered. "I'm a huge Looney Tunes fan."
"Nononononononononono!" Jeremy replied quickly.
"That will not do at all." Alan added. "If you're going to be a part of this family, you've got to be a fan of Disney."
"But this is my house." Richard's mom replied.
"Oh, and it is." Alan replied. "Silly me. Alright Mousekateers, let's get to introductions. Do you have Disney Plus?"
"No." Richard's mom replied. "We have HBO Max."
"Nononononononononono!" Jeremy replied quickly.
"You must get Disney Plus!" Alan replied. "Actually, your son should so he can become a Disney fan like us."
"Why don't you get a Disney Plus?" Richard asked.
"We do have one." Jeremy replied.
"We just want you to get one too." Alan added. "So go ahead and get one like a good boy."
"I don't plan on getting one." Richard replied. "My mom is already subscribed to HBO Max and I'm saving up to take over."
"No!" Alan replied. "No, no, no, no! You need to get a Disney Plus!"
Over the next few months, Alan and Jeremy have been badgering Richard and his mother to get a Disney Plus. Then one day, Richard's birthday approached, and what he wanted was a tour of the Warner Brothers headquarters so he could meet the staff of the Looney Tunes.
"I'm all ready to go!" He happily exclaimed.
"Oh, you are not going to the Warner Brothers headquarters." Alan scolded. "Because you kept disobeying me by not getting Disney Plus. I am taking Jeremy to the Disney headquarters for a tour. You are to go to your room and stay there because you are punished until you stop this Looney Tunes obsession and start a Disney obsession! Furthermore, as of today, Looney Tunes is banned in this house!"
Not staying around to argue with Richard, Alan took Jeremy to the car to go to the Disney headquarters, the latter giving Richard a smug grin while he left with Alan. Richard looked for his phone to discover that Alan took it as part of his punishment as he could "watch Looney Tunes on it". Richard decided to use the house phone to call his mother and tell her everything. This prompted Richard's mom to clock out of work, come home, and take Richard to the Warner Brothers' headquarters.
Inside a certain part of the headquarters was a secret room with computers linked to a certain world: the Looney Tunes world. From inside the world, the Looney Tunes managed to get views of the real world. Bugs Bunny was watching Richard and his mom through a monitor.
"That doc seems to be loyal to us Looney Tunes." He said, harbouring a smile.
He decided to call a meeting with the other Looney Tunes.
"Docs, we've got a loyal one." Bugs announced.
"What do ya know?" Daffy asked. "He could turn on us for Disney any moment."
"Suffering Succotash!" Sylvester exclaimed. "Have ya gotta think thso negative all the time?"
"Speaking of Di-Di-Di-Di Disney, what if they want to buy us?" Porky Pig asked.
"Now boy, that's I say that's ridiculous!" Foghorn exclaimed.
A strange figure stepped forward, and spoke in a way that got Pepe's attention.
"Eet ees possible zhat they might." It said, speaking in a feminine French voice, that caused Pepe to step forward.
"Pauline?" He asked. "Ees zhat vou?"
"Oui Pepe." Pauline replied, fully showing herself. "Eet ees moi."
Pepe lunged at Pauline in a hug.
"I 'ave meesed vou to mon core." He emotionally said.
"Zhe feeling ees mutual, my beloved brittle." Pauline emotionally replied.
Penelope was left flabbergasted. Who was this woman? Why was Pepe crazy over him? Why didn't he go after he in the first place? Was she even a Looney Tune? Before Penelope could take any further action, Pauline noticed Penelope and stormed over to her.
"So vou are zhe one who rejects Pepe and caused him physical and emotional harm!" She snarled.
Before Pauline could continue with her tirade, Lola stepped in.
"Take it easy, Pauline." She said. "It's not worth it."
"Lola's wight." Tweety agreed. "Don't get hostile to the girl puddytat."
"If I may speak out, what do we do when Disney does try to buy us?" Wile E asked.
"Then we know just who to get in touch with." Bugs schemed, looking tot he monitor which showed Richard.
Meanwhile, Alan and Jeremy were touring the Disney headquarters and were talking about Richard in detail, about how much of a Looney Tunes fan he is, how he would refuse to order Disney Plus, and how Disney would never buy the Looney Tunes. Just like in the Warner Brothers studio, there's a secret room where Disney characters could see the real world, most prominently Mickey Mouse, who has been watching and listening to everything they said.
"Not buy Looney Tunes, huh?" He scoffed. "Well, we'll just see about that!"
He called a meeting with other characters from the Mickey Mouse universe.
"Fellas, this family has a son who thinks we won't buy Looney Tunes!" He exclaimed.
"Well Mickey, the Looney Tunes are very popular property of Warner Brothers." Minnie explained. "I doubt you'd get Disney to buy them, as well as Warner Brothers to agree."
"Perhaps there are ways to... persuade them." Mickey schemed.
"Well what do we do, Mickey?" Goofy asked. "Hu-yuck!"
"I know just the way to get them to sell the Looney Tunes to us." Mickey announced. "We challenge those tunes to a Basketball game. They've been down that road twice."
Mickey sent the idea to the heads of Disney, detailing everything, but letting them know the appropriate time.
Back at the WB headquarters, the heads of WB received the email from Disney, offering five billion dollars in exchange for the rights to the Looney Tunes. Naturally, they rejected the offer, so Disney sent another email, detailing the basketball game between Bugs' team, the Tune Squad, and Mickey's team, the Clubhouse. If the Looney Tunes do not win the basketball game, they will be sold to Disney for the offer of five billion dollars. To the surprise of the Looney Tunes, the heads of WB agreed to the challenge.
"This is despicable!" Daffy exclaimed. "We'll be sold to Disney if we lose a basketball game?! Who are we gonna get for this one?!"
Bugs looked through the screen, his eyes fixated on Richard.
"I know just who." He said.
"But, when is the game and when are we gonna recruit him?" Lola asked.
Meanwhile, Mickey was looking through the monitor, his eyes fixated on Jeremy and Alan.
"When are we doing this game and recruiting him?" Donald asked.
Bugs and Mickey answered Lola's and Donald's question in the same words.
"We're waiting for the appropriate time."
We then see the footage of Richards past and his rise of becoming a basketball star. He moved out of his house at sixteen due to Alan and Jeremy's constant harassment and shoving Disney in his face. His mother never broke up with Alan because she believed he would change his ways. Richard has been training with his friends for years and has now become a top basketball superstar. He is now happily married and has three kids at the age of twenty seven. As for Jeremy, he was still crazed with Disney, and started his own family who is as crazed with Disney as he was. The only cartoon his kids watched when they were little was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. As we see the montage of Richard's amazing rise as a basketball star and his skills, we see the title for this series.
