Author's Note

I had posted this story once during the time when Fanfiction was broken and decided that it seemed that no one liked it. But after reviewing the documents of it I still had only days before the site was going to delete them, I decided to give it a second shot.

So here we go again lol.

It's going to be a down to earth story, serious and dark at times, but with all the eventual fluff and adult themes I know everyone probably wants.

Chapter 1

A troubled red eyed man meets a troubled snake

Tsunade Senju had a problem, and she wasn't quite sure how to solve it.

No, she wasn't talking about her increasingly bad drinking habits, despite how much Shizune would hound on her for it, worried she was going to drink herself to death. She probably was, but that's besides the point.

No, her problem pertained to one Uchiha Sasuke, and more importantly, his likely increasing desire and urge to attempt to again flee the village.

When he'd been thirteen, after the failed invasion by the Sound village orchestrated by the traitor Orochimaru, he'd been confused and had been lured by the apparent power the snake bastard held. Were it not for the combined forces of a handful of her own ninja, and the sand sibling's interference, it was very likely the last Uchiha would have fallen into the vile snake traitor's hands.

During his chunnin exams, he'd been attacked by the snake Sanin and had been imprinted with the snake's special cursed seal power. The curse mark gave him immense power, at the cost of slowing brainwashing him to defect from Konoha and join Orochimaru in the Sound.

As it stands, he'd tried to once before, under the mind altering powers of the curse mark. When he'd been dragged back, beaten and bruised, she was sure he would've tried to once more.

The last Uchiha was a troubled young man, his background drenched in bloodshed and death a mile wide. His very own brother had taken the life of every single clan member of his. His cousins, his aunts and uncles, grandparents and their friends and families.

His very own mother and father, cut down all in one lonely night. And, as for the young Uchiha at the time, he'd only been mere boy, untrained in the ninja arts.

What happened that night, the sight of the bloody streets he'd returned home to, would forever haunt him.

But, more than that, it sparked a blazing hatred in his heart, one that would not be forgotten, one never to be forgiven. Everything he did in life after that was powered by his wish for revenge.

His life goal, if asked, there was only two he'd offer. One, take vengeance on the man responsible for bringing about the destruction of the powerful Uchiha clan. He'd stop at nothing to accomplish this task, even going so far as to cheat and steal, backstab and betray to reach the highest power he'd need to carry out his mission to enact vengeance, it was how bloodthirsty he'd been.

This problem was exactly why he'd tried to run to Orochimaru, after the man, as unbelievably powerful as he was, promised great things for the young man. His lust for power was tantamount, and overruled his loyalty to the hidden leaf village. Never before had the idea of him abandoning the village come to pass, until Orochimaru stepped into the picture.

Normally, with any ordinary ninja, attempting to abandon one's village was a crime worthy of death. The only reason that the red eyed young man had been spared such a fate, was due in heavy part to the village pariah, Uzumaki Naruto.

When the blond learned that her best friend had up and abandoned the village, she'd nearly deserted too, just for the sake of tracking him down and dragging him back by his hair, whether he was kicking or screaming, she didn't care. She wouldn't allow him to throw his life away for his lust for vengeance, even if she had to break his legs to stop him.

Eventually, with the help of others, they'd been able to drag the dark haired young man back to the village.

If anyone ever found out he'd tried to desert, he would be executed for treason. The only reason this didn't come to pass was because that same girl responsible for bringing him back had gotten down on her knees and begged her that she spare Sasuke, that she give him another chance.

If Tsunade was honest, she wanted to lock up the boy for good for what he'd done, but the Uzumaki girl had softened her heart. It was a special skill of hers.

So, that day came and passed, and Sasuke had been dragged back to the hidden leaf like nothing had ever happened, his attempt at deserting having been wiped from the record.

She had ultimately excused his attempted escape due to his mind altering from the curse mark. It wasn't a total excuse, as yes, it was in part due to the curse mark's effect on his mind and emotions. But, that only amplified what desires he already had.

When they finally got him back, she had the torture and interrogation devision go in and wipe his mind of the decisions he'd made that night, making him forget that he'd ever run away. After that, it seemed that they didn't have anything else to worry about from him.

At least, that was her thought for the last three years.

But, as the years passed on, he grown more and more distant from the village. His loyalty to the village was questionable at the best, and nonexistent at worst. As it was, she was afraid that he'd be converted to the other side easily if a situation like when he was thirteen happened again.

The problem stemmed from his lack of anything tying him down. There wasn't really much that tied him to the hidden leaf. He had one friend that he even felt anything towards, and he seemed to hate her because she was stronger than him. Even then, Naruto viewed him as a brother, even though he didn't seem to feel the same way on the outside.

His teammates he tolerated, more than others at least. He didn't like his Sensei all that much, seeing as the man didn't take his training all that seriously. Although, generally speaking, Kakashi Hatake didn't take anything in life seriously. After getting his student back, he'd begun taking his training of the young man more seriously, but that didn't erase the impact of Kakashi's irresponsibility on his life, and how the Uchiha would likely view the older man for years to come.

His pink haired teammate, Sakura Haruno was his biggest fan girl, seeing him as her future boyfriend/husband more than her teammate. And if there was one thing that the boy hated with nearly as much disdain as his older brother, was the gathering of girls that all sought him like he was a piece of meat.

The young Uchiha seemed to thoroughly hate the affections shown to him to the point that she, the Hokage, thought that he may not even find interest of the feminine variety. Were that to be the case, the Uchiha line was sure to end with him as its last member.

That had been her thinking, right up until something Naruto had told her came screaming back to her forefront of her mind.

She could clearly remember it now, what the young Uchiha's second goal in life was. She'd completely forgotten about it until that moment.

Naruto had told her it once, what his second life goal was…

"Yeah, bastard is crazy about killing his brother… I understand why, but I just wish he'd let me help him along the way, but he keeps pushing me away. That's fine, I guess, I can't really change him." The blond muttered, lacking her usual loud and excited exuberance that usually surrounded her. "He also told me once that his other goal was to restore his clan… Although I don't know how he plans on doing that by himself." The girl laughed.

That's what she said.

She'd not really paid her words any attention back then, but now she felt like an idiot for not listening. Sasuke intended on restoring his clan, and obviously, that wasn't possible without doing the deed with a woman, so he must've been straight.

That being said, if that was his intention, they why did he push every single girl he ever came across away? That was the question she couldn't answer…

It was something that had plagued her for days after she'd learned of the young man's second life goal…

He wanted to restore his clan, but completely refused any advances made on him from the girls his age…

She didn't know what to make of it…

She felt like she was going crazy.

Knock knock knock

The busty buxom blond Hokage was broken out of her dilemma when the sound of someone loudly knocking at her door pulled her from her thoughts.

She sighed, running a hand down her face before sucking in a deep breath. "Come in…" She called out, trying to put on her professional Hokage face.

The doors to her office slammed open, and in strolled a face she definitely had not been expecting to see this time of night. "Ah, Anko-Chan, what can I do for you?" She asked somewhat surprised.

If there was one person she expected to visit her this late at night in her office, it wasn't this woman.

Anko was a beautiful young woman, likely twenty four years old and still as young looking as ever. As a woman, she'd long come to use her own body as a weapon, and as such wore the most revealing things she could get away with. Standing before her now, she was only dressed in a short orange skirt and combat boots, a metal fishnet undershirt and a tan trench coat to go over that.

She was another troublemaker that the woman had been keeping her eyes on, yet for different reasons. While Sasuke had been lustful for power to the point he needed to be monitored, Anko was someone she checked in on often because of her past.

She too was involved with Orochimaru, having been experimented on at a young age, before being abandoned by him as he fled the country. She lived every waking moment of her life with the taint of the Snake Sanin hanging over her head like a war crime, and it was something many within the walls of Konoha held against her.

There wasn't many places she could go that didn't hold a grudge against her, or view her with a hefty dose of suspicion.

The busty buxom purple haired woman played the constant harassment off as nothing, but Tsunade knew better.

Anko was suffering greatly, and she hid it well. But, it was something she didn't know how to help her.

Due to this, the snake woman had developed a bad habit of drowning out her sadness with alcohol and or a constant string of missions that would take her out of the village.

"I'm bored, do you got anything for me to do?" The purple haired woman asked, throwing her hands up behind her head, unable to meet the village leader's gaze.

Tsunade sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Anko, it's eleven thirty at night… Go home, get some sleep." She sighed tiredly.

The snake woman sighed loudly, rolling her eyes. "Come on, you gotta have something?" She asked rather rudely, crossing her arms underneath her large bosom.

True, Tsunade did have a mission she could give the troubled woman, but she didn't want to. She was tired of playing the motherly role to all of her ninja, but she wasn't going to stop now. "Anko, I'm not going to give you a mission. I want you to go home and get some rest." She said quietly, rubbing her forehead. She could already feel a headache coming on.

"Ugh, seriously…?"

"Anko-Chan, another word out of you and I'm throwing this chair. And trust me, you can ask Jiraiya, my aim has gotten better." Tsunade warned dangerously, hand threatening to toss her favorite chair.

"Okay okay, geez!" The busty snake woman groaned, turning away to leave through the doors.

The moment she was gone the village leader sat down, sighing loudly. If she didn't have one problem case then she had two.

Honestly those two, messed up as they were, were perfect for each other…

"Oh Kami, I'm a genius!" She shouted suddenly, slamming her hands down on her desk. A wicked grin split her face, eyes glinting with a dangerous glee.

She pressed her finger to her intercom, calling the front desk. "I need you to send a message. Tell Kakashi to report to my front desk tomorrow morning at seven. Also, tell him that if he refuses to show up on time, I'll track him down and burn every copy of Icha-Icha Paradise he has." She exclaimed quickly.

"O-Oh, yes, Hokage-Sama!" The rather rattled voice of her receptionist responded.

Tsunade smiled widely, sitting back in her seat. It was time for her and a certain sensei to play matchmaker…

She'd only hope that this didn't come back to bite her in the ass…

It was the sunlight peeking through his blinds that woke him, unable to remain asleep after so rudely being poked awake by the morning light.

He sat up slowly, blinking the morning blindness away, his sheets falling down to bunch up at his legs.

Slowly, jet black eyes scanned his room, turning to find a mirror beside his bed.

He looked like a mess, hair poking out in random places. Despite that, he knew a great number of people who'd call it handsome and alluring, so he would have to make sure to fix it before he left for the day.

He didn't need any more fan girl's trying to talk their way into his pants, he wasn't interested.

Glancing to his side, he took notice of the calendar pinned to his bedroom door.

"Oh…" He muttered, running a hand through his long black locks.

It was his day off. He'd been so busy with training and missions with Team Seven that he had completely forgotten what day it was. On his day off, Kakashi wouldn't train him even if he asked.

That being said, he was horribly sore from the nonstop training he'd been doing prior.

He slipped out of bed, going about everything at his own pace as he gathered his ninja gear and clothes.

A few minutes later saw him dressed in his high collar open white shirt, black ninja pants and high shin guard sandals, with his dark blue oversized yet loose fitting belt around his midsection.

Seeing as he'd no planned training or mission today, he'd decided to forgo his katana for the time being, only bringing along a small pouch of kunai strapped to his right thigh.

A moment later he stepped out of his room, and into his silent house. He closed his eyes, noting not for the first time just how quiet it was. It was entirely empty, not only his house, but his neighborhood, the entire clan compound, completely devoid of life save for him.

As dark as it was, he used to find solace in the silence, and the peace that came with it. But, as he'd grown older, he'd found that he'd rather have sound fill the ambiance then nothing at all. The silence only left him to his thoughts, and nothing about what ran through his head would be considered healthy or anything of the sort.

But he didn't like loud obnoxious places either. However, this early in the morning, he was sure not many were awake anyway.

Slipping out of his front door, he took to the rooftops of the abandoned compound. His destination, he wasn't sure, but he'd been ordered to take the day off and he didn't feel like upsetting the Hokage by ignoring her orders again.

Maybe he could find a nice place to have breakfast. Eating out wasn't something he'd done by himself for…

For years.

He was sixteen now, his seventeenth birthday still many months away. He honestly couldn't remember the last time he went anywhere for food by himself without it being related to a mission...

He landed across from a new place he'd never before frequented, taking notice of how empty the restaurant was so early in the morning.

"Perfect…" He muttered to himself quietly, making his way inside. Upon slipping into the establishment, he took notice of just how large it seemed upon entering. He also noticed, with a sigh, that it was more akin to a pub than a restaurant.

"Great." He muttered dryly, deciding to resign himself to his fate instead of backing out now. He was an Uchiha, he couldn't back out of a situation he'd knowingly walked into. He had the pride of the clan to take into consideration.

Unfortunately, even here he was not free from the looks people gave him. There were a handful of civilians already here, eating or doing whatever it was that they wanted. However, upon seeing the heir to the esteemed and powerful Uchiha clan stride in, suddenly all eyes were on him.

Although he hid it nearly perfectly with his stoic outward demeanor and a total air of superiority about him, he was not comfortable with all the attention drawn to him. He'd only become better at hiding how he felt as he grew older, but even then…

The pressure, the responsibility placed on his shoulders, the way he was supposed to act as the last remaining member of a dead clan. These things had been placed upon his shoulders by the civilian council since he was young, alongside a plethora of thing's expected of him.

Being the last of his clan, at least, within the village walls, they had pampered him something fierce since he was a child. He'd always gotten what he'd wanted, when he'd wanted it. Of course, that was something he never wanted, but he'd never get a say in the matter.

If he went to a restaurant for food, they'd give him his meal half off or more, even when he tried to pay what was owed.

He didn't like being treated as different, even if it was in a good way. Because, all it ever did was remind him that he was the last to a dead clan, with all the expectations that had been on their shoulders having been placed on his entirely alone.

He'd grown tired of it once he realized what was happening, and that was when he'd been twelve…

He was sixteen now, and even then, he'd still been treated as a king by many, if not all the civilian population.

He hated it.

"What'll you have, Uchiha-Sama?" The bartender asked, Sasuke having taken a seat at the front of the bar.

The young man was regretting this excursion already, although he hid his discontent with a neutral outward expression.

"I don't care. Whatever you think is good enough." He said neutrally, keeping his voice level. The man at the bar smiled, his actions making it obvious that he was trying to get into the young man's good graces.

It made Sasuke sick.

This man was just like everyone else in this village.

Every girl within his class had been openly trying to do so, hell even older ninja had been trying to get into his good graces. All because he was the last Uchiha.

Because he was special.

It was partially why he'd always turned down advances from girls like Sakura or Ino, as, despite being unbearably annoying, they only seemed interested in him in the beginning because of his status, and the fact that they found his past cool.

He grit his teeth, somehow managing to keep his expression neutral.

There was nothing cool about his past. They'd never understand, never really get why he was the way that he was.

That was why he hated them, because all they saw in him was his background, his physical appearance, and his strength. And more than that, they only sought what privilege it would bring them if they managed to get personal with him.

He hated it…

"Oi! Bartender, get me a drink!" He tried not to show his surprise outwardly as an unfamiliar face plopped down right next to him. He frowned, taking note of the fact that the entire bar side was empty.

Why did she have to sit next to him of all people? Unless she knew who he was, and had done so on purpose…

He frowned, already regretting his decision to stay here…

"Tsk, watch your tone lady! You're lucky I even let someone dirty like you into my bar." The bartender snapped, glowering at the new woman.

Sasuke's eyes widened slightly at the response she'd been given, the vehement expression on the man's face seemingly coming from nowhere.

"Price is double, take it or leave it." The man grumbled, turning away from her.

"W-What the hell! What'd I do to you?" She snapped, slamming her hands onto the table.

He couldn't help but listen in, seeing as this was happening right in front of him. He told himself not to get involved, but something about how this man was treating this random woman pissed him off. It reminded him of how the village would treat Naruto.

He didn't like it when they treated her like shit, and so, he wasn't going to let them treat this other woman the same way.

"I'll pay." Sasuke suddenly spoke up, drawing both his and her attention towards him. His expression was neutral, but his eyes were angry.

The bartender cowed behind the will of steal behind the young man's gaze, not willing to upset him. He cursed his luck silently, being obedient and bringing her a drink.

Finding any excuse to not have to stick around the woman any longer, the man disappeared into the back to clean while business was slow.

Sasuke sighed, still keeping his gaze locked onto the table. He could feel the woman's eyes on him, but he didn't feel like meeting it. "Sorry about that. I don't know what his problem is with you." He said lowly, taking a bite of the food he'd been given.

"Whatever. The bastard is like all the rest, it doesn't faze me at this point." The woman responded, her tone uncaring. "Oi, don't think you're as smooth as you think, buying a lady like me a drink." She snapped, turning a glare on him.

Of course, that's when she realized who it was.

She had to resist the urge to roll her eyes and scoff.

Of course she'd managed to sit next to tall dark and brooding.

Just her luck.

"Hn. I wasn't trying anything." He scoffed, not taking his eyes off of his food.

"Of course, play the tough guy act all you want. I just know you're trying to get your hands on these puppies!" She bit back, copping a feel of her own bosom as if to make her point.

Finally Sasuke looked, and almost regretted it immediately.

For the first time in quite a while, the stoic and dark Uchiha Sasuke's tough facade broke as he turned to catch an eyeful of a busty purple haired woman, her large feminine assets nearly breaking free from her trench coat. His eyes betrayed him as they momentarily wandered downward, taking note that she wore nothing underneath that fishnet shirt, the only reason she wasn't flashing him due to her trench coat hanging ever so precariously where it did. If she opened it a little bit more, he'd be greeted to a sight that would-

And he was quickly turning away now, facing his food with righteous determination, cheeks faintly warm. He definitely had not been expecting her to be so well endowed, nor wearing what little she did.

He cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure. "I don't know what you're talking about. I just don't like the way he was treating you." He clarified, taking a sip of his coffee.

Thank Kami it was coffee…

"Hey, stop that." She grunted sharply, poking him in his rib. He withheld his wince, unwilling to voice how that made him feel.

"Stop what?" He'd found himself asking cooly, the same way he'd grown to speak at this point.

"You've got that look on your face, I don't like it." She explained pointedly, pointing a finger wt him.

His eyes narrowed. "What look?" He asked. Usually people all swooned over his facial expressions, not call him out for them.

"That! That one right there! That, 'oh, I'm so much cooler than you' look!" She ranted vibrantly, the action having interesting effects on her feminine anatomy.

Not that he was looking or anything.

"I don't have that expression." Sasuke responded cooly, glowering somewhat.

"See, there it is again. You're such a sourpuss, lighten up Mr. dark gloomy and brooding." She sighed loudly, resting her head on the bar with one arm.

Sasuke's cheeks warmed slightly, taken aback by her accusations. "I-I… what?" He voiced his confusion, eyebrows raised in question at her.

"Quiet, don't question your Senpai. Learn your place, brat." The purple haired ninja sniffed, turning away.

His expression faltered, although, for Sasuke, that was the equivalent of his eyebrows furrowing more than usual, lips curled down in a little frown. His next mistake was opening his mouth to speak again. "Which would be where?" He asked, unable to stop himself.

She turned to him, offering him a saucy grin that made him feel things he'd never felt from any other girl before. "Underneath me." She grinned widely.

He nearly choked on his food, and she began laughing hysterically, slapping her hand down on the table. She devolved into a fit of mad giggles, wiping the tears out of her eyes. "Oh, this is great! You're far easier to tease than I'd thought you'd be, I'm going to have fun with you." She exclaimed with zero hesitation.

Completely caught off guard by her words, the young man couldn't stop the blush that spread across his cheeks, his cool guy expression falling apart from the open teasing from the beautiful woman sitting before him.

"Hn…" He grunted, trying to return to his food. Despite that, his face was still flushed, even though he was frowning.

She giggled a bit more, before leaning on the bar again, trying to draw his attention once more. "Oh, don't be like that. What's wrong, getting too excited by just a little teasing?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No." He responded quickly, perhaps just a little too quickly… "I'm just thinking." He muttered noncommittally, trying to end the conversation.

"Oh yeah, what about?" She asked, tone taking on a rather serious sound. It wasn't much, but it was enough for him to know she was listening and not teasing him again.

Although she loved teasing the handsome stud before her, she also knew who he was, at least in passing. She knew he was a problem child, at least from what she'd heard of his background through the vine. It wasn't what he'd done that gave her that impression, but merely the world he came from.

She'd only seen him once before, during the chunnin exams when they'd been invaded by the hidden sound. He was young back then, but now he'd grown to be quite the handsome looker.

It also helped that he was just a tad taller than her.

"It's nothing. Don't worry about it." He muttered darkly, huffing as he instead rest his chin on his hand, elbow propped up on the bar.

She went to immediately poke fun at him again, yet stopped when she caught the look in his eyes. That's when she realized he was as messed up inside as she was.

His tough guy demeanor wasn't something he put on to impress others, such as herself.

It was a mask he'd hidden behind, and from the looks of it, he'd been using that mask so long that he'd probably have difficulty taking it off.

His eyes were troubled, filled with pain and loneliness that he hid behind a mask of coolness and holier than thou attitude, whether or not he realized it himself.

He wasn't a pretentious asshole, he just looked and acted like one, and it was to defend himself from breaking under the stress.

"Come on kid, I've been around longer than you. You think you're the only one with problems?" She asked rhetorically, laughing a bitter sound.

Finally that managed to get a reaction out of him, as he finally glanced her way, that miserable look on his face. He sucked in a breath as if he was going to immediately jump at her verbally, claim that she couldn't possibly understand what he'd gone through and then compare her life troubles to his own. She could see it in his eyes, a burning hate that filled his eyes, not necessarily directed at her, but someone he knew.

Then he deflated, exhaling softly, that burning hatred that had temporally filled him leaving him with the same breath. He sighed, trying to level out his facial features to his typical mask once more.

"No… I suppose I'm not." He finally said, giving her the floor to go ahead. He deflated, losing any will to argue further, seeing no point in doing so.

He knew that there were a fair number of people that all came from tough backgrounds, whether or not they were as bad as his, and they likely weren't, they didn't matter. They all had people to help them get through it, but he did not.

He hadn't seen Naruto in three years, the girl having gone galavanting around the country with the legendary pervert. She was the only one he'd ever felt close to, and even then she was more of a sister to him, a long lost sister.

"When I was younger, just out of the academy, my Sensei abandoned the village and brought me along. Had no idea what was going on back then, and I was technically a traitor. Then he abandoned me, leaving me with his fucking curse mark to mind control me to do his will or whatever." She bit out, taking a long drink from the glass before her.

"Didn't matter that I didn't know what was going on back then, even though I willingly returned to the village. The people here still connected me to the bastard that ruined my life, and they all think I'm working for him. If not that, then I'm their damn scapegoat to take their anger out on, bastards." She hissed bitterly, finishing her drink.

She didn't seem to notice how silent Sasuke had gone, thinking he'd just been quietly listening instead. "…curse mark?" He muttered quietly, as if testing the words on his tongue.

"Yeah, this seal he placed on my neck by-" She started, pulling aside her trench coat just a bit to reveal her neck.

"-biting you." Sasuke spoke up, cutting her off. Her eyes widened, surprised that he knew how the snake bastard had gone about doing it. She turned to him to find him having slid his right shoulder free from his shirt, revealing the same curse mark on his neck as was on her own. "If it's who I think you're talking about, he did the same to me…" He muttered, letting her get a good look for a moment before pulling his shirt back up.

Her eyes widened in shock, thoroughly stunned.

It was a little known secret to only few, the Hokage being one of them, that the curse mark made rebelling against the one that gave it to you extremely difficult. It took considerable willpower and determination to resist the mind altering effects of the mark on one's mind.

To see him sitting here before her, still in Konoha at such an age impressed her more than anything all day.

It also helped her level with him in a way that she couldn't do with anyone else.

"Hey, bartender! Get us some more drinks! Don't make me come back there!" She snapped, barking orders the cranky man's way. With that settled, she turned to fully face the young Uchiha before her. "The name's Anko." She grinned, the look more sincere than it had been before.

Sasuke's eyebrows raised, finding himself again unable to keep his mouth shut. "No last name?" He asked on instinct.

Usually he wouldn't care about others, but he found himself increasingly interested in this woman. He told himself it had nothing to do with her looks, the fact that she was older and more experienced than him, the way she teased him without caring about his name. It also had nothing to do with the fact that he struggled to look her in the eyes, his mind betraying him with wanting to get another look of her bountiful boso-

Nope! Eyes forward Uchiha.

"You'll get that if you're a good boy." She added saucily, the tone sending shivers down his spine. Wisely, he turned back to his food, coughing inconspicuously as if to regain his composure.

By now the bartender had brought them both drinks, and this time, Sasuke didn't turn down the alcohol. Talking about stressful things had gotten him worked up, and he needed something to drown out the pain.

"So, I'll ask you again, Mr. sourpuss. What's got you so worked up?" She asked again, poking him in the ribs, although perhaps a bit lighter this time.

He frowned, but didn't push her away. He sighed, resting his head in his hands, elbows propped up on the bar. "It's… It's difficult, being a symbol…" He finally said, voice soft, lacking that usual terseness.

She raised an eyebrow in question. "Oh?" She intoned, not saying anything further, letting him continue. She'd finally gotten him to talk, so she didn't want to blow it now.

"I'm the last loyal Uchiha to the Hidden Leaf, and as such, people place a lot of expectations on me. I'm expected to act or behave a certain way, it disrupts the civilians when I don't, or act a way that's unbecoming of their precious last Uchiha…" He said, struggling to keep the disdain out of his voice.

He looked up, staring at a random wall, but she knew better. She could tell he was reliving a certain moment of his life. "During those exams, all eyes were on me. The civilian council, the people, the Fire Daimyo, even other villages. They wanted to know how strong I had gotten, how fast and hard I was willing to work, just so they could flaunt me to the other villages. It makes it so hard to focus on anything when I know everyone is focused on what I do…" He grunted, running a hand through his long black locks.

"I feel like I've stagnated. I don't know how I'm supposed to become powerful enough to kill him, and with everyone watching me, it's like they expect me to do it. Sometimes, it's just too much…" He muttered, trailing off at the end, unwilling to talk anymore.

She felt like asking who it was that he was trying to kill, but decided to ask later. Now didn't seem like the best time…

They didn't talk for a little bit after that, both enjoying their drinks.

Something the young Uchiha would learn that morning was just how heavy of a drinker Anko was. By the time he'd finished his first tall glass, she was already downing her fourth, cradling it to her cheeks like it was her baby.

Seeing as she was in no condition to be wandering the streets on her own, even during the day as it was, he offered to take her home. After all, it was only right. He was the man in this situation, he had to act like it.

After paying the bill, something he footed the entirety of as well, he helped the woman to her feet. "Come on, I'm not leaving you here like this…" He grumbled, throwing her right arm around his shoulder, allowing her to use his body for support.

"Awe come onnnn… I was gonna stay here for a while… let it wear offfff…" She whined, completely out of it. The young man's expression faltered at her slurred words.

"Uh huh…" He muttered dryly, having already dragged her out of the establishment.

He swallowed thickly suddenly, as she instead threw her other arm around him, resting her head on his shoulder as she leaned into him from behind. His face flushed brightly, not that she could see it thankfully.

"Where's your home?" He asked, clearing his throat. He realized that he'd begun walking without even knowing his destination.

Perhaps the alcohol had really gotten to him already. He felt shame wash over him, knowing that he had the pride of the Uchiha to worry about. He couldn't be seen wandering around drunk with such a hot woman hanging off of his shoulders, people would gain the wrong impression…

"Mmmhmm…" She moaned into his ear, eyes blinking rapidly. "Why…? Already trying to get into my pants, pretty boy?" She cooed, clearly drunk.

He silently praised himself for managing to keep the hitch out of his voice when he responded with a straight face. "No. I'm trying to get you home before someone else tries to do that…" He responded dryly, his expression falling.

"Hmm. Mkay, I'll believe you cutie…" She hummed in his ear, before pointing off in a random direction.

He passed by a small group of girls, all civilians roughly his age or older. The moment they laid their eyes on him and the hottie he had around his shoulders they began giggling like school girls, whispering things to each other just out of earshot.

He sigh loudly, frowning.

''Great, there goes not giving people the wrong impression…'' He thought sarcastically, resisting the urge to roll his eyes.

Eventually he stopped in front of a rather ratty looking apartment complex. He had to withhold his sneer at how messy it looked, recalling what she'd said about how she was treated. She probably couldn't get anything better than this, and had to settle for what she could.

He helped her up the stairs, before stopping in front of a door she pointed at.

"I can carry myself, you know…" Anko sighed, voice carrying a bit of an edge.

His dry neutral expression was his response. "My apologies, Anko-Senpai. You didn't look like it." He apologized, although his heart clearly wasn't in it.

Now that she was home, he could finally leave. He still wasn't sure what he was going to do with the rest of his day, but he supposed he could find a place to relax. Maybe the hot springs would help sooth his ragged emotions…

"Mitarashi." Anko suddenly spoke up, pulling his attention back to her.

"Pardon..?" He asked in question.

She grinned saucily, reaching out to grab him by the collar of his shirt. "My name is Anko Mitarashi, but you-" She clarified, pulling him in close. The Uchiha's eyes shot open wide as she roughly pressed her lips to his, taking his breath away as her tongue easily broke past his weak surprised defense to raid his mouth. A surprised moan escaped his mouth, muffled by her own. He blinked rapidly, face blushing hotly as she bit his lips.

Finally she pulled away, a trail of saliva connecting the two's lips. She gave him her widest grin, deeply pleased by the reaction she'd managed to get out of him. "-can keep calling me Senpai." She finally finished. Before he could even make a sound, she leaned in again, roughly pressing her lips to his repeatedly, before leaving a trial of purple kisses down his chin, to his neck where she left a bite mark.

His mouth opened in shock, the Uchiha doing his best impression of a fish, face on fire, eyes blazing red.. Anko laughed loudly, a genuine and sincere sound. "I'll see you later cutie, momma's gotta go sleep this headache off." She said before disappearing into her apartment.

Sasuke didn't move, standing starstruck at her front door, eyes wide and surprised. He raised a hand to his lips, unconsciously running his tongue over them as if to remind himself him of how she tasted. His lips had already swollen somewhat, the little hickey she'd left him not going away anytime soon.

She swallowed thickly, face catching fire. The image of her passionately kissing him forever burned into his mind via his accidental use of his Sharingan.

He vanished in an embraced swirl of leaves a moment later, likely making his way to the hot springs…
