Cordelia hadn't meant to upset him.
"Ceddy, dear brother! Wait! You misheard!" The conjuror called after him, running to the place where she knew her baby brother would be. Sofia and Calista watch on, as Cordelia chases after her brother, Callista desperate to help her uncle, but the princess Reassured her that her mother had it under control.
Meanwhile, Cedric slammed the door to his workshop shut, as he lent against it breathing heavily to catch his breath, before sinking to the ground in tears.
Even though the incident between him and Cordelia was fixed now, it was still really painful even all these years later, Cordelia had brought it up as a joke, probably forgetting that Cedric had a lot of guilt still from that memory, and most likely a certain amount of trauma as well.
Cordelia finally reached his workshop, worried sick about her baby brother.
She politely knocked on the door.
"Ceddy, little brother, I'm so sorry... What I said was a thoughtless joke, I haven't been a very good big sister to you for all these years, and I am so sorry. Please, dear brother, forgive me..." Cordelia said gently.
She didn't get a response from the door, she took a deep breath, sat down on the other side of the door, and held out her wand slowly, one more trick up her sleeve. She hasn't tried the trick in years, they hadn't tried it since long before the incident happened, but she hoped he remembered this, because she never forgot it. She took another deep breath and began to recite the song gently.
"Be still, don't move, it's easy to smile with you by my side..." Cordelia sang gently, her wand starting to glow.
Cedric's wand also started to glow, he looked down at it and gasped quietly . "Our song..." he whispered to himself.
"Don't blink," Cordelia continued, her wand glowing brighter little by little.
"Don't blink." Cedric repeated his wand also starting to glow a bit brighter.
Cordelia smiled as she quietly heard her little brother start to sing along to the song spell, she smiled to herself continuing the lyrics again .
"Wand high," Cordelia continued feeling the spell get that little bit stronger.
Cedric felt the same too as he continued singing. "Wand high..." he whispered back
Together, the two siblings held their wands close to their hearts, as they felt the magic grow stronger.
"Just being with you, my heart opens wide..." They sang together, their voices blending in quiet harmony as their wands both grew stronger.
Cedric smiled to himself as he turned around putting his hand against the door, Cordelia doing the same as they both put their heads to the door and closed their eyes, feeling each other's magic, the spell definitely working.

We're not the same, but I know we've been
Find yourselves on different pages
Different notes mean bigger stages..." the two of them sang together the door to Cedric's workshop opening as the siblings were drawn together thanks to their sibling magic, they held each other's hands as they started to float, shooting their wands like they were young children again, as magic zipped through the air.
"As it all comes clear to me
You're my best friend, my family
I wanna capture this moment as we hit our stride
With you by my, you by my side." They continued singing, still floating around the castle. Together as they did flips and tricks as they hadn't aged at all.
Sofia and Calista watched in awe as their mentor and uncle came floating through the castle hallways, both girls smiling eagerly as they ran to follow them.
"Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah 'ide, side
We're tried and true, I want you by my side..." The siblings sang as they descended before pulling each other into a hug.
Their wands had stopped glowing as they both still hugged each other. Their foreheads touched as they smiled at each other like giddy little children.
"Oh, Cordy..." Cedric whispered, smiling at his big sister. "I...I haven't heard that song in such a long time... I can't believe, after all these years, you still remember it..." Cedric said his voice wobbly as he's about to cry again.
Cordelia giggles, rubbing their noses together as she booped Cedric's playfully, causing Cedric to giggle. "Of course I did, I never forgot it. It reminded me when we used to be close, before..." Cordelia trailed off, looking away with guilt in her eyes.
Cedric's gloved hands cupped her face, bringing her eyes back to meet him, he smiled at her.
"I know, Cordy..." Cedric whispered. "I forgive you...We can put this behind us now, we can start again. It'll be like old times, because to tell you the truth, I missed you, Cordy... I really did., but now with you staying in the castle for a few months, we can mend what was broken, and this time we don't need a fix it spell..." Cedric said with a laugh.
"I would love that, Ceddy..." Cordelia whispered.
As would I, Cordy..." Cedric agreed, booping her nose back in return, making her giggle.
The two siblings pulled apart looking at both Sofia and Calista with loving smiles as the girls smiled back at them.
"What was that, Mr. Cedric?" Sofia asked.
Cedric smiled at his sister again before turning to his apprentice. "That, my dear, is sorcerer sibling magic. If a sorcerer's bond with their sorcerer sibling is strong enough, they can create sibling magic, magic that can only be activated by writing a special spell that only you and your sibling can know, when you sing it, it unlocks very powerful sibling magic that cannot be broken until the song has been completed. Cordelia and I wrote it when we not long started sorcery together." Cedric explained.
Cordelia smiled. "It's a sorcerer's way of showing their siblings that they love them" she added quietly looking back at her big brother with a smile.
The two hug each other again, their sibling magic fully restored, and this time the magic would never run out.

I'm back from the dead! The writers dead anyway, hello! How is your 2024 going? Mine? Splendidly well! I've missed everyone's so much I really apologise for not posting in absolutely ages, writers block hit me really hard, I started writing tons of stories but then my writers block would like die, like not even 15 minutes after I started.
Anyway, let's talk about this story, shall we?
Sofia the First is currently my hyperfixation. I started watching it again on Disney+. I was already like halfway through season two I think, and I just sat and watched it over the next like four days.
Oh my goodness Cedric dear God! I love this dorky sorcerer so much! I want him as an uncle, I want to learn sorcery spells!
Jess Harnell does an amazing job! I love him so much! Cedric's one liners are gold, I quote them daily, my favourites being; 'come in, you will anyway...' and 'now, if you excuse me, I will return to my workshop to cry...' I quote these two quotes way more than I should because dear God are they relatable...
So, I was on season four, and it was the episode 'Through the Looking Back Glass' and I loved it! Always in my re watches of this show I love that episode it's one of my favourites, not limited to season one episode ' Cedric's Apprentice' Cedric the Great has no right to be as good of bop as it is! I swear to God! Every time it's on I belt it out. Good song to sing to in the shower, which I have done, multiple times. Currently listening to it as I write these notes, I'm thinking of doing an edit with it with my character Anti Sparkle.
Also, not related to the story at all but Cedric's voice in like season one and the TV movie sounds awfully like Wakko Warner, don't ask me why I think that, please don't, I don't know why but I can hear the middle warner sibling in his performance, I feel like he's getting revenge on his older brother for taking all the credit XD
Okay, back on topic.
I was heavily inspired by the song Portrait Day from My Little Pony G5 Make Your Mark, I heard it on my brain immediately went this reminds me of Cedric and Cordelia! It also reminds me of Amber and Sofia, let me know if you wanna see a version with them.
Anyway, I wanted to kinda give the season four episode a little bit more closure because I just hate how some episodes of the show just randomly end and I'm like what? I want episode closure thank you so I feel satisfied with this, also it was really fun writing their sibling dynamic., I definitely wanna write more with them
