Date With the WWE
"Axel, do I really have to do this?"
"Millie, you promised me that you would."
"It's just that…"
"You took me to the Planetarium on our last date, and I almost died of boredom. I took the risk because I love you, so the least you can do is enjoy an episode of RAW with me," Axel explained, hands on her hips while she was sitting on the couch in the middle of the living room of Millie's parents' home. Millie sighed before sitting down next to her, allowing Axel to rest her head on Millie's shoulder, grabbing a handful of popcorn, and shoving it into her mouth before RAW started. When the show started, Millie saw something that caught her eye and looked over at Axel in shock.
"Woah!? Is that Dwayne Johnson!?" Millie asked, shocked seeing who she only knew as an actor being involved in a wrestling angle.
"Yeah, he used to be a wrestler before he became all big in Hollywood," Axel said before explaining to Millie what the Rock was doing right now on the Road to WrestleMania, and how he was involved in one of the biggest storylines heading into WrestleMania 40. Millie was kind of confused, to say the least, but a random question popped into her head that she had to ask.
"Do you think he knows Nichelle?"
"Oh, I'm sure he's WAY too big for Nichelle to know," Axel said with a chuckle. The two shared a brief chuckle before the show moved on, with, in her mind, an admittedly exciting match between Ricochet and JD McDonagh. Then, there was an intense promo battle between CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre. As Axel took some bites out of her pizza, she noticed out of the corners of her eyes that Millie looked a little on edge. Axel saw Millie's hands shaking in front of her chest, which combined with the concerned look on her face, told Axel that Millie was definitely stressed about something. Seeing the tenuous promo battle between CM Punk and Seth Rollins, Axel assumed that Millie was thinking that something was going to combust and that there was going to be a legitimate fight in the middle of the ring.
"Millie, calm down, sweetie. Nothing bad's going to happen," Axel said, patting Millie on the shoulder to try and relax her.
"I heard a lot about this CM Punk guy on the news. He caused some fights in the last job that he had," Millie explained, causing Axel to chuckle again, patting Millie on the shoulder.
"Yeah, but I wouldn't worry. Apparently, he's got some sort of clause in his contract to make sure that he behaves himself," Axel explained, causing Millie to breathe a sigh of relief, which Axel thought was adorable. The show continued on, with Candice LeRae stealing a victory over Ivy Nile, the Judgment Day destroying both #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) and the New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods). Then, the match between Andrade and Giovanni Vinci happened, and Millie looked impressed at all of Andrade's Lucha moves, causing Axel to let out a chuckle.
"Like what you're seeing, sweetie?"
"How is he doing all of this stuff?" Millie asked with her eyes still glued to the screen, where she was entranced in Andrade not only landing on his feet after a Diving Moonsault but also immediately hitting Giovanni with a Standing Moonsault.
"I have no idea, but isn't he awesome?" Axel asked, which Millie responded to with a nod as Andrade got the victory over Vinci. The show then moved on to Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley calling out her WrestleMania opponent, Becky Lynch. While Rhea's partner in the Judgment Day, Dominik Mysterio, was arguing with Becky, Axel noticed that Millie's wide eyes were following every little move that Rhea Ripley was making while the champion was laughing at her opponent and showing off her Women's World Championship.
"Axel, you never told me that they had some gorgeous women like this on the show!" Millie exclaimed, her pupils practically transforming into hearts as she heard Rhea's voice insulting Becky. Axel's eye twitched slightly, knowing of Millie's preference for strong women, and knowing that she would be a huge fan of the Women's World Champion. However, Axel couldn't help but feel a little jealous that Millie had been doing nothing but singing Rhea's praises since the segment started. When the inevitable brawl happened between Rhea and Becky, Millie was yelling out and rooting for Rhea, which did nothing to assuage Axel's growing jealousy.
"Hmph," Axel grunted out, her arms crossed as she glared at her new rival while she was being pulled away by security. Millie noticed this grunt, turned to see an irate Axel, and kissed her on the cheek.
"Don't worry, Axel. Rhea may be my new celebrity crush, but you'll always be the one for me," Millie whispered into her ear. Axel's face exploded into a red blush as she playfully swatted Millie away, causing the aspiring journalist to laugh before leaning her cheek against Axel's shoulder. The two continued watching Sami Zayn vs. Bronson Reed in this position, but it was the main event between Jey Uso and Shinsuke Nakamura that put both women on the edge of their seats.
"Woah! What is going on!?" Millie asked in shock as she saw the Rock whipping both Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Jey Uso had beaten Shinsuke Nakamura, but the Bloodline (Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa) had stayed in the ring to beat down Jey Uso and Seth Rollins when he tried to help out his ally. Meanwhile, Cody and the Rock were brawling in the back, with the Rock taking advantage thanks to throwing a trash can right into Cody's face. While Cody began bleeding from the side of the head, Rock threw Cody outside of the arena where it was raining and continued whipping him with his belt.
"The Bloodline's showing Cody what he's in for at WrestleMania. Like, I've never seen the Rock like this before, and it is awesome!" Axel exclaimed as the show faded to black with the Rock talking trash to Cody, telling him that he was never going to finish his story and that the Bloodline were going to remain on top. "So…what did you think?" Axel asked Millie with anticipation.
"OK, I'll admit, that was actually pretty fun."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I can totally see why you're a big fan of it, Axel," Millie said with a smile on her face, her hands shaking a little from the excitement she was still feeling from the show. Axel smiled before leaning in for a kiss and planting one on Millie's cheek.
"I'm glad you liked it. So…since you've enjoyed RAW tonight, do you want to watch WrestleMania with me next weekend?" Axel asked, twirling her fingers on the couch, her heart almost skipping a beat when the smile on Millie's face grew.
"Absolutely! In fact, watching wrestling with you was so much fun, and I know there's more coming up this week. Can I watch that with you too!?" Millie asked excitedly, her hands continuing to shake in happiness. Axel's smile grew to the same width as the one on Millie's face and jumped into her girlfriend with a hug that had enough force to send them both tumbling off the couch. The two looked at each other, in shock from the hard hit they took on the floor, but the shock was quickly replaced with laughter. The two cuddled closer to each other on the floor and laughed as they pulled each other up and sat back on the couch, their minds already thinking of the future, and their upcoming dates being spent watching WWE.
